Chapter 20: Janken the Great:
Sonic's POV:
In case you're wondering, Rouge managed to get away in that last chapter. She has a shard, and we have a shard, but we also still have all seven chaos emeralds. Weirdly... enough... Scar seems to like her.
"Hey, what are Antoine and Bunnie doing in Antoine's room," asks Scar.
"You don't want to know," says Knuckles.
It's not the kind of thing we can talk about in a chapter. Then the alarm went off.
"We're being invaded," says Agent Bass.

We were in the middle of town when the aliens came. Their leader appeared in front of us. "I am Janken the Great!" Great, another great. "I am from the planet Paper-Rock!"
"You've got to be kidding," says Knuckles.
"That's usually my line," says Jet.
"I have come to take over your planet," says Janken, "strange, you look nothing like the other creatures."
"We're not from around here," I said, "but we can't let you take over this planet!"
"I see," says Janken, "Gooseka, Chokkina, Paraplin, attack!"
These guys looked like they had hands for heads. Gooseka's head looked like a fist, Chokkina's head held out two fingers, and Paraplin's head looked like it was getting ready for a high five... oh, I get it, they're based on Rock-Paper-Scissors.
"Let's do it to it," I said.
We then took them on. Believe it or not, these guys were tougher than they look. Knuckles ended up in a fist fight with Gooseka's head. "What are these guys," asks Knuckles.
"I think it's time to reveal my secret weapon," says Janken. He then reveals a large robot.
"I'm getting a vision," says Knuckles. The robot then attacks us.

"Did we just lose to a game," asks Amy.
"Guys, that robot," says Knuckles, "I think it's powered by a shard from the Master Emerald!"
"But how did Janken get it," asks Tails.
"I don't know," I said, "but we gotta get it back!"

Janken's ship was going on a rampage in Green Hills. Tails was sneaking me onto the ship.
"Let's do this," I said.

Tails and I were sneaking through the halls of Janken's ship.
"Look," says Tails, "it's Janken!"
"Maybe we'll learn how he got the shard," I said.
"Sonic, what are the odds that he'll conveniently talk about how he did it," says Tails.
"It was lucky we found that strange crystal on this planet's moon," says Janken, "and now, thanks to it, this planet will be mine!"
"Never mind," says Tails.
"Let's go," I said.

Tails and I were looking for the robot... but we got lost.
"Too bad we can't read the signs," says Tails.
"Help," says a voice.
"Who was that," asks Tails.
"Let's find out," I said. We raced to the voice.

We found the source and it was a girl who was slowly turning to stone.
"My name is Princess Lora of the Planet Aries!"
"What's happening here," asks Tails.
"Janken is turning me to stone," says Lora.
"And what, he wants you to marry him," I asked.
"What? No, that wouldn't make sense," says Lora, "he just wants me out of the way so he can take my planet!"
"So, it's more like when Robotnik captures Sally," I said.
"How do we beat his forces," asks Tails.
"To defeat his henchmen, you must beat them in a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors," says Lora.
I then slapped myself. "I should've known!"
"And how do we beat Janken," asks Tails.
"You must beat him in a game of Janken," says Lora.
"And how do you play that game," I asked.
"You must use your hands to form Guu, Choki, and Paa and remember, Guu beats Choki, Choki beats Paa, and Paa beats Guu."
"Wait, is it basically the same as Rock-Paper-Scissors," I asked.
"Well... honestly, that pretty much is the theme of the Janken Army," says Lora.
"If you know that, why haven't you ever done that," asks Tails.
"I'm terrible at that game," says Lora.
"Let's go," I said.

We were then faced with Gooseka, Chokkina, and Paraplin. They were about to attack...
"Wait, Guys," I said, "how'bout a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors!"
We were getting ready. The problem is this game is a 50-50 kind of game. I'd have to be really lucky to win. First was Gooseka, the Rock guy. We draw and... paper beats rock. I won. Next was Chokkina, the scissors guy. We draw and... rock beats scissors. I won again. Nex was Paraplin. We draw and... scissors beat paper. I won again. The three were defeated. We then continued moving.

Tails and I found the robot.
"I can't believe all we needed to do was challenge these guys to a game," says Tails.
"Yeah," I said, "I'd call them lame, but they did kick our butts earlier."
"Well, look who it is," says Janken, "I'll have my robot crush you!"
"Better idea," I said, "a game of Janken, Janken!"
"Ooh, I love that game," says Janken.
I knew he was gonna say that.
"If I win, you call off your entire invasion, take the Princess back to her planet, and give us the shard you use to power that robot!"
"And if I win," asks Janken.
"Then you can take me and Tails as your prisoners," I said.
"Huhh," asks Tails.
"Deal," says Janken.
Janken and I were facing each other. We drew and... I had rock and he had scissors.
"Best two out of three," says Janken.
"Okay," I said.
"What," asks Tails.
We drew again and I had a paper and Janken had a rock.
"Best three out of five," says Janken.
We drew again. I had scissors and Janken had paper.
"Best five out of seven," says Janken.
I had rock and Janken had scissors.
"Seven out of nine?"
Paper beats rock.
"Best out of eleven!"
Scissors cuts paper.
"One more game," says Janken.
"No, no, no," says Tails, "that's enough!"
"Just one more game," asks Janken.
"We won, now call off your invasion, take Princess Lora back to her planet, and give us that shard," says Tails.
"Fine," says Janken.
. . .
Lora waves at us as she's being taken back to Aries, and we have another shard.
"You guys won't believe who I ran into while you were taking on Janken," says Rotor.
"Hi guys," says Big the Cat.
"Big," Tails and I both said.
This was a good day.
In the next chapter, Sonic and the gang look for a shard at an ESP research lab and find Cream and Cheese.
