Chapter 25: Master Emerald (1):

Sonic's POV:

I told the others everything that happened to me when I saved Towers from Eggman.

"I'm having trouble processing this," says Knuckles.

"So, zey ahre ze sahme mahn, but zey ahre ahlso two men? eet's naht pahsseeble!" Antoine then ran away.

Antoine's POV:

"Mahke eet deedn't hahppen, Hahtdog Vendahr, mahke eet deedn't hahppen." I said to ze Hahtdog Vendahr who pahtted my head een cahnfusion.

Sonic's POV:

"Aah'm just 'unna make sure mah man isn't traumatized too much." Bunnie then leaves.

"Eggman's probably going afte the rest of the shards," I said.

Dr. Eggman's POV:

I called my Mobian counterpart.

"You look good, Dr. Eggman," says Dr. Robotnik.

"Thank you, Dr. Robotnik. I just need to complete the Master Emerald and then we'll be invincible!"

"I'm be arriving and I have the first person we can destroy with our new found power! Princess Sally Acorn!"

"The princess of your planet? Goody-goody-gumdrops! We'll make an example! Today Earth and Mobius..."

"Tomorrow, the Universe!"

We then laughed and hung up. "Snivley, Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts! I can sense the location of the other shards! Go and get them for me!"

"So... where are they," asks Scratch.

"Right, I should probably tell you where Section 12 is."

Sonic's POV:

Knuckles was getting a vision.

"Eggman, he was talking to Robotnik! They're planning on taking the shards! Sonic..."

"Yeah, Knuckles," I asked.

"Robotnik has... Sally!"

"What," I asked.

"Once they have the power of the Master Emerald, they're going to destroy her!"

"No," I said.

"And Eggman's goons are coming here!"

"I can't decide which one you should've led with," I said.

We were all expecting Snivley, Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts.

"There they are," says Jet.

And they came with an army of robots.

"Let's do it to it," I said.

We then took on the robots.

Scar's POV:

My friends and I had to stay inside.

"This stinks," I said.

"I would've enjoyed the danger," says Day.

"Hey Guys, what if we took the shards away where those creeps can't get to it," suggests Billie.

"That could work," I said.

"Yay, danger," says Day.

Sonic's POV:

We were still fighting Eggman's robots, but then I realized the goons were missing. "Tails, Knuckles, Amy, we gotta get back inside!"

We do so. "Split up," I said, "find Eggman's goons!" We split up.

Tails' POV:

I ran into Coconuts.

"I'm gonna rip your tails off," says Coconuts.

"I can take you, Banana Brain," I said.

Amy's POV:

I ran into Scratch.

"Any last words," asks Scratch.

"If there's ever a time to beat up a chicken with a hammer, this would be it!"

Knuckles' POV:

I ran into Grounder.

"I'm gonna drill a hole in your face," says Grounder.

"Shut up," I said.

Sonic's POV:

I ran into Snivley.

"No need," says Snivley, "the shards are already missing!"

"Wait, what," I asked.

Sally's POV:

"You won't get away with this," I said.

"Fool, soon, my Earth Counterpart and I will destroy you in front of that miserable hedgehog and then we will rule both worlds!"

"Since when do you share," I asked.

"You'll see, now, while I'm waiting... I'll sing my song."

"What? You're not really going to sing, are you?"

I just stared. "Okay then."

Scar's POV:

Day, Billie, and I were running with the shards, but then we ran into Eggman. "Hello, kids."

Sonic's POV:

Snively, Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts were taken down.

"We have to find the shards," I said.

We then heard something outside and ran to check it out.

. . .

We were then outside where we saw Dr. Eggman, and the shards were coming together. Scar, Day, and Billie were tied up.

"Now, to open the gateway," says Eggman. He does so and a large ship came. Dr. Robotnik and a tied-up Sally came out.

"Dr. Robotnik," says Eggman.

"Dr. Eggman," says Robotnik.

The two then both touch the emerald and started to glow. Then they were getting closer until... there was a white flash.

"What was that," asks Jet.

"Our worst nightmare," says Knuckles.

Standing before us was not two men, but one. He was skinnier then either two... actually, he kind of looked like Jim Carrey. The red-lined details on his overcoat were green, but the black colors stayed. His eyes were glowing emerald green. Green electricity was flowing from his body, like lightning bolts.

"Are you Dr. Eggman or Dr. Robotnik," asks Amy.

"I am neither, but I am also both! I am the Supreme High Robotnik! I'm going to enslave humanity and force them to serve my machines. First Green Hills. Then the universe. Then the multiverse. Then who knows? Maybe that'll be enough. Full disclosure? You won't be there."

He then fires an energy blast at us...
