Chapter 27: The Return of Eggman:
Sonic's POV:
So, here's the thing, I'm a hedgehog. My friends are all anthropomorphic animals from the planet Mobius. Something activated Chaos Control and transported us all to this planet where we had to find the Chaos Emeralds and then the pieces of the Master Emerald before Dr. Eggman could. No pressure. Then Dr. Eggman and Dr. Robotnik use the Master Emerald to combine into one powerful being... The Supreme High Robotnik. I had to use the Chaos Emerald Ring to become Super Sonic and defeat them in an epic showdown. Anyway, now we're trying to turn the Death Egg Robot back into Section 12. It's taking a lot of work.
"This is taking a lot of work," says Agent Bass, "good thing G.U.N. is helping us out."
"Our pleasure," says Commander Towers.
"I'm just glad Robotnik is finally beaten," says Sally.
"Now we just need to find a way home," says Tails.

I was back at the Wachowskis' place.
"Sonic, come meet some people Section Twelve are paying to work for us," says Tom, "this is Naoki Tanaka, our bodyguard."
"It is a pleasure to meet you," says Naoki, bowing to me.
"And this is our housekeeper, Ella Costa."
"Hello there," says Ella, "this is my adoptive nephew, Carl."
"Hola," says Carl.
"He's a magical duplicate like me," says Scar.
"Small world," I said.

I was then showing Sally around Green Hills.
"This place is amazing," says Sally, "but I feel it could use less buildings."
"Yeah, well, these guys ain't as big on nature as we are," I said, "check this out."

I showed her the chili dog, but...
"Maybe another time," says Sally.
It's not for everyone. Then something blasted at us.
"What was that," I asked.
We were both surprised to see Dr. Eggman, in his Eggmobile.
"Hello Hedgehog," says Eggman.
"Eggman," I said, "how did you get back?"
"That's my secret," says Eggman.
"Is Robotnik back as well," asks Sally.
"Yes, but he returned to Mobius to give up on evil and become a teacher," says Eggman.
"He'd make a good high school teacher," I said.
"But I'm here to get my revenge!"
I grab Sally and run off with her while Eggman chases after us. How did he get back? Oh well.

Sally and I arrived in Emerald Hills, Green Hills' rival city.
"We need a plan," says Sally.
"I can take that egghead," I said.
"Sonic, he managed to escape from White Space," says Sally.
"WWWeeellllll... huhh... eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhh... uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh... uuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm... yyyeeeaaahhh," I said.
"Come out and play," says Eggman.
He was searching for us.
"Let's move," I said.

Emerald Hills was like Green Hills... only bigger and fancier and they probably don't have the kind of trouble Green Hills gets.
"Sonic, why is he being less subtle today," asks Sally, "something isn't right."
"He lost his job, and he was trapped in another dimension where there is no time," I said, "he's got nothing left to lose."
"Still, something smells rotten," says Sally.
"Let's just keep moving," I said.

We were going around Emerald Hills when something grabbed us.

Turns out, it was Section Eleven and the head of Section Eleven, who just goes by the codename, Captain N, was calling Section Twelve.
"I don't know how they got here," says Captain N, "but I trust you will be picking them up." He then hangs up. "So, what is your story?"
"We were being chased by Dr. Eggman," says Sally, "he's out there!"
"Alright, we'll help you find this guy."
. . .
Eggman was still searching, but we ambushed him.
"It's over, Egghead," I said.
"Yes, for you," says Eggman.
He then blasted at me, and I ran and did a spin dash on him.
"Take that," I said.
"You'll pay for that," says Eggman.
The fight went on, but then Sally has an idea. "Sonic, use your spinning trick on the ground, but don't move until I tell you to!"
"I hope you know what I'm doing," I said.
I then do so and Eggman's about to attack. "Now!"
I then rammed him. A spin attack! Nice! Eggman's taken down.
"It's over," I said.
"You don't know what's really going on." Eggman then teleports away.
"What," I asked.
"I just talked to Section Twelve," says Captain N, "this was a distraction!"

Sally and I returned to Section Twelve where Rouge was stealing the Chaos Emeralds. I then did a spin dash and tackled her.
"You're not much of a gentleman," says Rouge.
"And you are no lady," I said.
Then the emeralds started to glow and then they disappeared again. Rouge then leaves.
. . .
Knuckles was meditating. "Good news, the Emeralds are still here on Earth," says Knuckles, "bad news, they're scattered again."
"And now Rouge is working with Eggman," says Tails.
"Well, I guess we're going to have to find the emeralds before either of those two do," I said, "looks like the adventure is back on."
Eggman's POV:
Rouge and I arrived at Prison Island. It's time to unleash Project: Shadow!
In the next chapter, Sonic will meet Shadow at a chemical plant.
