Chapter 32: Mystic Cave:
Sonic's POV:
Knuckles was getting another vision. "The Blue Emerald, the power of Invincibility, it's in a cave... in a desert area!"
"Any specific place," I asked.
. . .
We then arrived at the area.
"Where's the cave," asks Tails.
"Found it," says Scar.
"How did you get here," I asked.
"Long story," says Scar, "but I found the cave."
It looked like a lion's head and it's on a rocky hill. "WHO GOES THERE," asks the cave.
"Did it just talk," asks Jet.
"What are you," I asked.
"I AM THE CAVE OF WONDERS!"
"Wonderful," I said, sarcastically.
"Are you magic," asks Amy.
"YES! LONG AGO, A YOUNG STREET RAT ENTERED MY DWELLING TO FIND A MAGIC LAMP..."
"Wait a minute," says Jet, "are you trying to convince us you're the location of Aladdin's lamp?"
"A DIFFERENT LAMP RESIDES WITHIN ME," says the Cave, "ALADDIN WISHED HIS GENIE TO BE FREE AND THAT GENIE THEN BEGAN TRAVELLING WITH HIS WIFE AND KIDS!"
"Well, we don't care about no lamp," I said, "we came for the Blue Chaos Emerald!"
"THE EMERALD YOU SEEK IS WITHIN ME, BUT TOUCH NOTHING BUT THIS EMERALD!"
We then entered.
. . .
This cave had a stomach full of treasure.
"We're just here for the emerald," says Knuckles, "let's stay focused."
We began looking for the emerald.
Shadow's POV:
We were talking to the cave. "What do you mean you won't let us in," I asked.
"ONLY THE WORTHY MAY ENTER AND THAT IS NOT ANY OF YOU!" says the cave.
"But I'm a bat," says Rouge, "you won't even let a bat in?"
"YOU MAY TRY TO ENTER!" says the Cave.
"This is too weird," says Scratch.
As soon as we entered, the cave closes in on us.
Sonic's POV:
We were still looking for the emerald.
"We have a problem," says Tails. There were a bunch of blue stones.
"We look for the emerald," says Knuckles.
"Well, I'd say that's more of a sapphire," says Amy.
"I think it's this one," says Scar, but as she picks it up...
"Scar, that's not an emerald," says Amy.
"YOU HAVE TOUCHED THE FORBIDDEN TREASURE! NOW YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY AGAIN!"
We had to move to get out, but even I wasn't fast enough to escape...
. . .
Now we're trapped in a cave.
"How do we get out," asks Tails.
"Maybe we can find that genie the Cave mentioned," says Scar.
"I had a bad experience with a genie," I said, "I don't trust them."
"Wait a minute," says Amy, "we can use the emerald to escape! All the emeralds have the power of Chaos Control!"
"Let's do it to it," I said.
"Better idea," says Shadow as he and the rest of the Eggman Gang show up, but they've looked better.
"This cave tried to kill us," says Rouge.
"Guess it doesn't like you guys," says Knuckles, "not that I can blame it."
"Give us the emerald," says Snively.
There's then a fight over the emerald. I took on Shadow, Knuckles had Rouge, Tails had Coconuts, Jet had Scratch, Amy had Grounder, and Scar was trying to keep the emerald away from Snively.
"Hand over the Emerald or else!" Snively throws a rock, but it doesn't hurt Scar.
"Right, it makes me invincible," says Scar.
"We gotta get out of here," says Knuckles.
"First, we better lost these guys," I said.
We then jumped away from them and landed near Scar. "Chaos Control," says Knuckles. We then teleported out.
. . .
We were now outside the Cave of Wonders. "Glad that's over..." But then Shadow knocks me down. I forgot he can do that. Shadow then takes the emerald from Scar but took a closer look at her as he and his crew leave.
"I really don't like that guy," says Knuckles.
Shadow's POV:
"The Invincibility Emerald," I said.
"Excellent work," says Dr. Eggman, "we just need the other six!"
"Don't worry," I said, "nothing can stop us!" That girl who was with Sonic... she looks just like... but, no, it can't be... I mean Maria is Half-Chinese... but could it...
Once again, the Scar/Maria resemblance is once again mentioned. In the next chapter, the Red Emerald is spotted near an oil spill.
