Chapter 33: Oil:

Sonic's POV:

So, here's the thing, we have the Emeralds of Mind and Time and Eggman has the Emerald of Invincibility. That's two for us and one for him. Knuckles was getting another vision. "It's the Red Emerald," says Knuckles, "the one with the power of Invisibility!"

"What are we waiting for," I asked.

"One thing," says Knuckles, "this... vision... something isn't right!"

We arrived at the beach where the red emerald is and now, I know what Knuckles means.

"Look at all that oil," I said.

"There must have been a spill," says Tails.

"I think I see an oil tanker over there," says Amy.

"The oil is polluting everything," says Sally.

"It must have, somehow, polluted the emerald too," says Knuckles.

I'm torned. Obviously, we should clean this up, but I don't think any of Eggman's goons are going to care about oil!"

Shadow's POV:

"I see Sonic and the others," says Shadow, "we take them out and get the emerald!"

"What about this," asks Rouge.

"What," I asked.

"The oil," says Rouge.

"Do I look like a Planeteer to you," I asked, "let the humans clean up their own mess!"

"If we don't get that emerald, Dr. Eggman will make a mess out of us," says Snively.

"Gross," says Coconuts, "but true."

Rouge just looks.

Sonic's POV:

We were cleaning up the oil while looking for the red emerald, but how do you find something that has the power of invisibility?

"Found it," says Amy, "I tripped over it."

"Good," says Shadow, "now we'll be taking it!"

"Do you care more about getting the emerald then life," asks Sally.

"The world is a pathetic place anyway," says Shadow.

We then fought and I kept slipping on the oil. This is not going well. Knuckles tries to punch Rouge, but she flies out of the way.

"Look, I'm a little uncomfortable about this too," says Rouge.

"You're telling me you care about the environment," asks Knuckles.

"Why is that so hard to believe," asks Rouge.

"I guess you didn't know," says Knuckles, "that makeup you wear... it's been tested on animals!"

Rouge looks in a mirror. "Really?"

Knuckles then takes Rouge down.

"I like oil," says Scratch.

"Yeah, for us, it's a good beverage," says Grounder.

"Well, animals shouldn't drink oil," says Amy.

"Good thing we're robots then," says Scratch.

"This is not a good place to fight," says Tails.

"We have to do something about this," says Sally.

I then had an idea. I then spun around like a tornado and sent the oil away.

"Now that that's taken care of," I said, "let's do it to it!"

We had a better chance at fighting these creeps.

"Where's the emerald," says Shadow.

Something then kicks him in his vulnerable area. "You had to ask," says Amy.

"I think we should go now," says Snively. The bad guys then left.

. . .

We were cleaning the beach. "Sonic, where did you send the oil," asks Sally, "it has to go somewhere."

I figured that if Shadow and the others had no problem with oil, then maybe they'd like some.

Shadow's POV:

We saw our Eggmobile was covered in oil. "Let's get cleaning," I said.

I tried to do an environmental message. In the next chapter, Sonic meets Superman and learns where Eggman's HQ is.
