Chapter 45: The Dark Legion:
Sonic's POV:
I was just resting there. Knuckles and Julie-Su were looking at the ocean.
"It's beautiful," says Julie-Su.
"If you ignore the fact that people keep throwing their trash in the water," says Knuckles
"That is a problem," says Julie-Su.
"No one would be this careless on Mobius," says Knuckles, "except Robotnik, but that's only because he never cared."
"I love how you do care," says Julie-Su. Just as the two were about to kiss, something knocks them down.
I then get up and see it and I raced to them, but something punches me. I then took a look. "Who are you," I asked.
"I'm Lien-Da of the House of Dmitri and we're here to make the traitor pay!"
They were all echidnas, and they take Julie-Su and leave. I then run towards Knuckles. "What was that about?"
"I don't know," says Knuckles, "but we're going to find out!"
Julie-Su's POV:
I woke up and saw some faces I did not want to see again, Lien-Da and Kragok.
"Hello, Sister," says Kragok.
"What do you two want," I asked.
"You left us," says Lien-Da, "and now we'll have to see what the Grandmaster has to say."
Then he came. "What is this," he asks.
"Dr. Finitevus, we have captured the traitor, Julie-Su..." But before Kragok can finish, Finitevus slaps him.
"You imbeciles," says Finitevus, "she is now affiliated with Sonic the Hedgehog and Section Twelve! Thanks to you, they might start looking for her, find out secret base, and our plans could be ruined!"
"We... didn't think of that," says Lien-Da.
"No, you did not," says Finitevus, "now, were you seen?"
"Actually... Sonic and Knuckles might have seen us," says Kragok.
"Then we should be expecting them," says Finitevus, "Kragok, get the experiment ready!"
"Yes Sir." Kragok's the Legion's scientist.
"I still want to make her pay," says Lien-Da.
"And you will, my Love," says Finitevus, "but right now, we have to worry about Sonic and Knuckles!"
"But they don't even know where we are," says Lien-Da.
"Actually, I left a trail," I said.
"Oh," says Lien-Da.
Sonic's POV:
"Lucky for us, Julie-Su left a trail," I said, "but who are these guys?"
"Why do I have a feeling Julie-Su might have the answer," says Knuckles.
"Here we are," I said.
It was an old factory that hasn't been used in years. We then snuck through a window, but we got caught.
"Gentlemen, welcome," says this weird echidna, "allow me to introduce myself, I am Dr. Finitevus."
"Finny-tuvis," I asked.
"Funny-TV," asks Knuckles.
"Finitevus!" We were still having trouble. "Okay, look, Fin-"
"Fin-" we both said.
"It-"
"It-"
"Evus!"
"Evus!"
"FINITEVUS!"
"Is that even a word," asks Knuckles.
"We're looking for our friend, Dr. Creepy Von Evil," I said.
"I'll take you to her!"
. . .
Now we're in Julie-Su's cell.
"So, who are these guys," asks Knuckles.
"The Dark Legion! It was a technocratic organization formed by Menniker after the echidnas' society on Angel Island renounced technology," says Julie-Su.
"And what do they want with you," asks Knuckles.
"I used to be one of them," says Julie-Su, "but then I met you Knuckles, and I decided to turn against them."
"How sweet," says Lien-Da, "you betrayed us for a guy!"
"You would literally do whatever Finitevus tells you to do," says Julie-Su.
"At least he's going to bring us to the Future," says Lien-Da as she walks away.
"So, who is she," I asked.
"My older half-sister," says Julie-Su, "she and her older twin are fiercely loyal to Finitevus."
"Great," says Knuckles.
"What are they working on," I asked.
"I don't know," says Julie-Su.
"I have it," says Kragok. It was the Chaos Ring! I thought I lost that thing after I defeated Eggman and Robotnik!
"And soon, we will use its power to bring all the machines of this planet under our control," says Finitevus, "and we will bring this world to the glory of technology!"
We needed a way to break out of this cell. Then I had an idea. "HEY, YOU, GUARD! YOU HAVE TWO MOMS!"
The guard then came in our cell and Knuckles knocked him out. I took his key.
"But how did you know that would work," asks Julie-Su.
"He had the look that said he would take offense to that," I said.
"Jerk," says Knuckles, kicking the guy.
"Let's do it to it," I said.
. . .
We then found the Dark Legion working on their machine that the Chaos Ring would be powering.
"Impressive," says Finitevus, "most impressive, but now you must dance with us!"
We were surrounded. "Then put on your dancing shoes," I said.
We then took them on and Finitevus then started the machine. Knuckles looks. "He's starting," says Knuckles, "what do we do?"
"You do what you do best," I said.
And Knuckles jumps and breaks the machine, causing it to explode. We had to book it!
. . .
We managed to get out.
"We got most of them," says Knuckles.
"But Finitevus, Lien-Da, and Kragok got away," says Julie-Su.
"I don't think it's the last we've seen of them," I said.
"Knuckles, I'm sorry I never told you," says Julie-Su.
"Don't worry about it." Then the two share a kiss and I knew I had to leave these love birds alone.
Lien-Da and Dr. Finitevus are lovers in the Ultimate Advanceverse Sonic the Hedgehog. In the next chapter, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy meet the Fearsome Foursome.
