Chapter 49: It's Me, Mario:
Sonic's POV:
Tails and I were in the restroom. "So, what do you think," I asked.
"Sonic, I can't fix the toilet," says Tails.
"Try something," I said, "I gotta leave a package!"
"TMI," says Tails. Tails tries something and... "Hey, there's something weird about this toilet-"
The next thing we knew, we were flushed away.
. . .
Tails and I woke up. "Where are we," asks Tails.
"If we see an underground city of rats and end up saving them from a toad, I'm going to freak out," I said.
"Are these... giant mushrooms," asks Tails.
"Awe man," I said, "I hate mushrooms!"
"I think I see a castle," says Tails.
"Let's check it out," I said.

Have you ever heard the one about the superfast blue hedgehog and the two-tailed flying fox that enter a town full of talking mushrooms? No? Well, that's what's happening now. Sorry, it wasn't a joke. There are actual talking mushrooms that can get these giant coins and other weird things by hitting boxes.
"Wow, it's like how in Mobius, there are these inexplicable big floating rings all over the ground," says Tails.
"There's the castle," I said.
We saw a princess, a mushroom guy, and two guys that look like plumbers.
"It seems like yesterday when Mario and Luigi saved us all from Bowser," says the Princess.
"Yeah, I remember it well," says the mushroom, "Mario and Luigi found a gateway to our world in Brooklyn's sewers, Luigi ended up Bowser's prisoner, Mario fought Donkey Kong, Princess Peach was almost married to Bowser against her will, and Mario and Luigi used the Super Star to defeat Bowser. Good times. And then we had to work with Bowser to defeat a demon that took over the Mushroom Kingdom... but now the demon is vanquished, and Bowser is on the loose. Yeah."
"Anyway," says Princess Peach, "Mario and Luigi, the two bravest plumbers I have ever known will save us!"
Everyone cheers.
"Excuse us," I said, "hi, sorry to interrupt. So glad you have so much faith in... plumbers... anyway, I'm Sonic, this is my main man, Tails and we were wondering if you knew a way back to Green Hills."
Everyone stared at us. "Why are they looking at us," asks Tails.
"Maybe it's because we don't wear pants," I said, "we choose to look this way!"

"So, you guys are aliens who ended up on Earth and now you're here," says Mario.
"Yep," I said.
"Down the toilet," says Luigi, "we got here through a pipe in the Sewers."
"Yeah, what is that about," I asked.
"Warp pipes," says Princess Peach, "they can take you to other worlds."
"I wonder if one can take us back to Mobius," says Tails.
"Right now, we should get back to Green Hills," I said, "people are probably worried and we might be needed there."
"We can take you to the pipe to Brooklyn," says Mario, "once you're in Brooklyn, you can find a way back to Green Hills."
"Mario, Brooklyn is in New York and Green Hills is in New Hampshire," says Luigi, "they'd have to get a bus."
"Not really," I said. I then demonstrated my speed.
"Let's a-go," says Mario.
. . .
"We can't take too long," says Princess Peach, "later, I have a meeting with Princess Daisy of Sarasaland."
"I hear she's quite a looker," says Luigi.
"So, you don't know where you came from," I asked.
"Nope," says Princess Peach, "the mushrooms found me and took me in and then I became their leader."
"What does this Bowser guy look like," asks Tails.
"Sort of a turtle dinosaur thing," says Mario.
"Who's the worst creature you have ever met," asks Luigi.
"Dr. Eggman," I said.
"Bowser would eat him for breakfast," says Mario.
We then found the pipe, but we also found trouble.
"Surprise," says a guy who fits the description of Bowser.
"Bowser," says Mario.
"Guess why I'm here," says Bowser.
"Let me guess," says Princess Peach, "you're here to kidnap me so you can try to force me to marry you."
"Not even close," says Bowser, "I'm here to kidnap you so I can try to force you to marry me... oh, I guess you were on the ball there."
"We beat you before," says Mario.
"But this time, I came prepared," says Bowser. Then a giant hand came out of nowhere.
"What is that," I asked.
"That... wait, who are you two," asks Bowser.
"I'm Sonic and this is Tails," I said.
"Oh, well, nice to meet you," says Bowser, "wait, do princesses find you attractive, Sonic?"
"I am dating one," I said.
"This is Master Hand, and he will flatten you," says Bowser.
Master Hand then attacks us, and we had to move.
"That hand makes Knuckles' hands look like dainty hands," I said.
"We gotta stop that hand," says Mario.
We then fought Master Hand, but Master Hand swatted me and Mario into the pipe and takes everyone else.

I woke up and saw Mario. "Where are we," I asked.
"Looks like we're in the Brooklyn sewers," says Mario.
"Great," I said, "how do we get out?"
"We just have to... do you also notice the egg," asks Mario.
Then the egg hatches out a dinosaur thing. "Yoshi," it said.
Mario and I both screamed. "What is that," I asked.
"Yoshi!"
"I guess it's Yoshi," says Mario. Yoshi goes over to Mario, who then pets it.
"Cute," I said, "but we gotta get back to saving the others from Middle-Aged Villain Monster Turtle!"
"Let's a-go," says Mario.
"Let's do it to it," I said, "we'll work on it."

Mario, Yoshi, and I arrived at Darkland where Bowser had the others.
"I think I got an idea," I said.
. . .
I got through a window, and I threw my shoe at Bowser's toilet. I got to remember to clean it later. The shoe clogged it up.
Bowser's POV:
"Kamek, we need to do something about this," I said.
"Don't worry," says Kamek, "I called a plumber."
"Good, now... do I need to clean out my ears or did you say you just called a plumber?"
"Yes, I... am an idiot," says Kamek.
Sonic's POV:
The Koopas let us in, and we raced to take Bowser down.
. . .
We found the others in cages.
"Sonic," says Tails.
"Mario," says Princess Peach.
"A dinosaur," asks Luigi.
"Don't ask," I said.
"Master Hand's coming," says Toad.
Master Hand came, and Mario and I took him on. "Sonic, I found some mushrooms," says Mario, "we gotta eat them!"
"Do they have to be mushrooms," I asked.
"Great, he's picky too," says Princess Peach.
Master Hand was coming. Mario and I ate the red mushrooms, and we became giants. "Nice," I said.
We then took Master Hand down. Bowser came in and saw us. "Well, I'm outta here," says Bowser. He then closes the door, but somehow, he was on the other side of the door. He looked. "What just happened?"

We were back at the pipe. "Farewell on your journey back to Green Hills," says Princess Peach.
"Maybe next time, we see who's the best," Mario suggests.
"Lookin' forward to it," I said.
Tails and I then headed down the pipe.
Mario's POV:
"How do you like your new playmate, Yoshi," I asked.
"I can't believe you shrunk me again," says Bowser.
Yoshi then starts kicking Bowser around and we all laugh.
As you can guess, like many stories I've been doing with their movies, this episode references the Super Mario Bros Movie. In the next chapter, Sonic meets Mega Man.
