Hello, hello... Once again, I say, hello...! It's been a moment, and I've been quiet distracted with a whole other fandom lately... KHIII anyone? Well... I wanted to at least show that I do have something in the works for the next chapter. I do like to do my best and update at least from one to two months from my last chapter. Though, no promises since it won't always work out that way. Still, I want to show you the preview so far.
Please keep in mind, that all I have here is but a portion, so the writing is subject to change and be revised. The rest of the chapter will be up on another date, when it's complete.
Oh and thank you to SonGohanDBZ! It's okay, your choice still made it as the first one and that's pretty cool it happened that way! Also thank you Gamelover41592 for the welcome back! I hope you continue to enjoy what's to come for these stories!
There is not much else to say, so... See you below, here is the preview.

Chapter 15: The Z-Crystals (Preview Chapter)
It's been sometime since he's been back at Levanny's Creations and the duo came back for a couple of reasons. The first, Treecko-nii had to get his blankets mended and put in a request for some newer ones to be made. The rainy season was coming upon them and it was best to have the walls up sooner rather than later. The second, he was running low on the other supplies and some tools were broken, so it all needed to be renewed and the resources replenished to keep their tree home safe. The last reason they came was to finally get his Z-Crystal properly cut out of the stone and shaped into something more stylized.
"Wow Pip sweetie, you've got something real special here! A genuine Z-Crystal is a rarity outside of dungeons. Make sure to care for this as it were your own craftsmanship."
Levanny-san had handed him the newly cut out gem and he could only stare, mesmerized by the ocean blue hue gleaming in the light. She had added a pin to the back of it so it could easily attach to a bandana, or as she pointed to, his bowtie. For now, he'd just keep it and put it away, placing it inside his new explorer bag, curtesy of Team Pokétectives, and make his way to school.
Like the usual routine, Treecko-nii said his goodbyes and they went their separate ways. He went off to his class and the gecko to Lopunny's Dojo. What ended up not being the usual routine was the announcement of this being half day classes, because the second half was dedicated to,
"Can you believe it, Pip? We're finally doing Mystery Dungeon class! No safety first exams! No type matchup reviews! No explaining layout changes by sitting in class! We get to go in action today!"
"So soon? It's only been a little over a month though…" Pip quietly spoke.
"Only a month? That was too long a wait! We should of had it on the first day!"
"Uh, Skitty, I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself there."
"Why Pikachu? Just because I really want to dive into the mystery?"
"No, because these were needed. Not everyone is as experienced as we are."
The three blinked at the teal Pokemon, "Wow Muchlax, you're being awfully mature about this."
"HEY! Pikachu's not the only reasonable one, I have my moments!"
A clap rang out and all focused their attention on Mawile-sensei, "Settle down class! I know you're all excited to go and experience the mystery dungeon, but we still have several things to go over."
Everyone disappointedly complained, "Awwwww."
Their teacher held a up poster and pinned it to the board for all to see. Upon it were very familiar shapes, much like the one he had received just this morning.
"Those are, Z-Crystal." Conan/Shinichi spoke aloud unintentionally.
The teacher blinked, surprised at his answer, "That's correct Pip. What you see here on the poster are known as Z-Crystals. As there are eighteen Pokémon typings, there are also eighteen typing crystals. Now class, does anyone know what they do?"
Most of the students raised their hands, claws, paws, or limbs to answer. She looked around the room and pointed to Magby who looked really eager.
"Oh oh!" The fire type kept her arm raised as she exclaimed excitedly, "My big brother told me about this! The Z-Crystals can only be found in mystery dungeons and you can't take them home. But you won't always find them whole. You need to gather enough Z-shards and they'll form into one Z-crystal of a random type. That can power up your move of the same type until the end of the dungeon. But you can only have one equipped per teammate, any extra will disappear, so you have to choose to keep one or the other."
"Well done in explaining Z-Crystals, Magby," Mawile-sensei praises Magby-san, before adding, "Although, your information needs to be slightly corrected." The class looked lost at what their teacher had meant. "Yes Magby, Z-Crystals do have 18 types as well as power up moves, but what you described specifically are Forged-Z-Crystals."
She cocks her head in curiosity, "Forged-Z-Crystals?"
The rest of the class, Conan/Shinichi included, look to her with intrigue as to what it could be. "First, everything you shared with us has given a wonderful and simplified explanation for the class. But there is actually something many forget, even our own locals." Everyone looks curiously to her as she continues, "Z-crystals are actually part of the island's ancient history. There have been tales and legends of Pokémon receiving great strength from simply owning them, some even having an altered biology, growing to gargantuan sizes due to the exposure in large quantities of crystals. But when mystery dungeons came into our world, those Pokémon, along with the Z-Crystals slowly disappeared from our history. Dungeons and natural disasters destroyed important land marks, and much information became lost. Generations came and went, and a majority started to believe they could only be found in dungeons."
The three Pokétectives looked to one another and then looked straight at Conan/Shinichi, who was thinking the same as the others. Then Pikachu raised his paw, "Ms. Teacher Mawile?"
"Yes Pikachu?"
"Do real Z-Crystals still exist out there?"
She nods, "Yes, they do. Though it is extremely rare, there have been reports of a few teams finding them. But they are so few and far between, like finding an Applin in an apple orchard. As how that Pokémon lives and hides inside an apple, the Z-crystals hide within the islands. It was hypothesized many of the loose ones became destroyed. The only ones that could possibly have survived the ordeal of the dungeons are those that were not excavated, meaning the ones deeply embedded within rock layers or sunk in the depths of the oceans."
Then Munchlax asked, "So, what would happen if someone has one?"
Mawile-sensei smiles at the green bear like Pokémon, "If one were find a real Z-Crystal, then that may be the most special gift these islands could ever give. That Pokémon must be willing to take good care of it since it is part of its heritage."
Skitty then asked, "What would happen if someone took a real Z-Crystal into a dungeon?"
"It hasn't been tested much, given that they're hard to come by as it is. But from the few accounts of teams that have tried, there is not much of a difference. They will still help power up your type moves, but it's still yours to keep even after you exit. It still follows the one crystal per Pokémon rule. As long as it's not equipped to you directly, you can still use a Forged-Z-Crystal if it's a better typing than your genuine one. But take this information with a grain of salt, since this is only from the experiences of the few."
The rest of the children oohed and aahed at this before eagerly asking their crystal related questions such as, the differences between forged and genuine crystal appearances, whether you could find real ones in a dungeon, and how much their type attacks can get boosted. But over on the side, the three children kept glancing at each other, their eyes alone communicating the same thoughts. Then, they Conan/Shinichi's way, smiling as excitedly as the day they entered Simplicity Woods and asked him demonstrate his kicking skills. Oh joy, what absurd plans were they cooking up in their minds for him, and for the mystery dungeon class?

So that's the preview, more to come soon. Again, this is only an early draft writing for what I want to convey, so the writing is rough and is subject to change by the time Chapter 15 is up fully.
For this chapter (preview), we're finally coming to a new concept that will be introduced into the dungeons, Z-Crystals. I do like my Mega Evolution, but they're still too under-leveled to be fighting such foes. Pip's gotten his new crystal cut, cleaned, polished, and fashioned into a nice pin for his bow tie or bandana. As for the rest of the children, they're going to finally be doing a proper mystery dungeon class. The PokéTectives are eagerly as excited since... welll... they won't have to say they did one secretly anymore.
Now as for the dungeon that's coming up in this chapter, I'm going to probably skip floors and keep it brief. This is mostly because the focus will be the Z-Crystal and not the dungeon itself... Although, I will tell you now, a decision I made several chapters ago seems to have come to give me trouble now... It has to do with the other students and me not realizing that this Pokémon's move set is mostly defensive...? Can you guess Pokémon players? So... I gotta find a good way to write that Pokémon when the time comes to be partnered with "Pip" in a MD class. That will be interesting, right?

I'll be updating this as others vote. (~ ^ o ^ ~)
It has been a little, so I'll drop a hint other than it's to answer something from the Dojo chapter.
By voting for this Pokémon, you're choosing a Pokémon parent to eventually appear.
Who's? Points if you can get it in the comments!
