After seeing his dear friend get sucked into a portal in the mirror, Ichigo was quick to run for help, for, from his experience, he knew that he couldn't do things by himself.
He kept running with all his might until he reached his destination.
The store of Kisuke Urahara, a man who, once upon a time, was a division captain, but certain events turned him into an exile and now he was dedicated to running a store while bringing help to both Ichigo and anyone who needed it, either fighting with them or providing them with the right stuff for the matter.
"Kisuke! Kisuke, are you there?!" asked Ichigo entering the store.
Soon after, a man with a shade, a cane and a fan.
"Ah. Ichigo. Nice to see you again. What's the reason for this unexpected visit?" asked Kisuke with cheerful humor.
"Stop clowning around. Orihime has been kidnapped!" said Ichigo.
That made the man's cheerful expression completely erased and turned into a very serious one.
"Yes, I was afraid something might happen." said Kisuke.
"What?" asked Ichigo.
"Just now, I detected an unknown energy suddenly appearing and I had a feeling that something would happen. From what you told me, I was right." said Kisuke.
"Do you know what it is?" asked Ichigo.
"Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you, since it's an energy I've never felt before. I can assure you that it's not reiatsu nor is it an arrancar thing." said Kisuke.
"So, there's no way to know what it is?" asked Ichigo hoping there was a solution.
"Mmm." expressed Kisuke with his hand on his chin, going into thoughtful mode. "That energy was only there for a few moments, but I think I could analyze it. I might even be able to find out where Orihime was taken."
"Thank you, Kisuke. I appreciate it." said Ichigo.
"I'd recommend not doing that until you get results. Which may take a while. So, it would be best not to waste your time." said Kisuke leaving the store area to get to work.
Ichigo went into a room and sat there to wait for some result that would tell him where Orihime was or who had taken her.
He already lost her once when she went to Hueco Mundo and was taken by Aizen.
On that occasion, he fought against everything to save her and was willing to do it again to save her.
"Don't worry, Orihime. I'll be right there for you." said Ichigo praying that his friend was safe wherever she was.
Ichigo running desperately to save her.
That was the last thing Orihime remembered before the portal absorbed her completely and she traveled down a tunnel in a swirling current.
After that, darkness came.
Orihime remained unconscious for a few seconds until she began to moan as she gradually opened her eyes.
The first thing she noticed was that she was in an alley and the sky was turning blue, signaling the beginning of morning.
She let out a slight groan as she sat up.
"Oh, my head." began Orihime rubbing her head. "Where am I?" asked Orihime looking around.
Wanting answers, she got up and walked to the entrance of the alley.
The first thing she noticed when she stepped out, was that she was in a place completely unfamiliar to her, as she didn't recognize anything she saw.
"This doesn't look like Karakura City, nor does it look like the Seireitei." began Orihime before taking a deep breath to center herself. "Relax. I'm sure Ichigo and the others will come looking for me. I know. Until then, I'll try to find out where I am." said Orihime before getting moving.
Meanwhile, the man was pissed off, for he had put effort into that spell in order to bring that young woman to him in order to use her power on himself only to fail totally unexpectedly.
"Grrr. Damn it! I was about to pull it off, but my lack of power has screwed it all up for me again. Ugh. Never mind. I think it's possible that even if I didn't bring her to this place, she ended up somewhere in this strange world. I just have to find it." began the man before approaching the mirror. "Show me where she is… NOW."
The mirror obeyed his command and once again, the crystal showed ripples of water until it revealed a vision of Orihime walking through the city streets.
"I knew it. She's in this world just like me. All I have to do is go get her and once I have her in my hands, I will have her return me to my old form and in that way, I can take back what rightfully belongs to me." said the man before laughing evilly.
About half an hour had passed since Kisuke set out to investigate about the strange energy that caused Orihime's abduction.
In that time, Ichigo used his surrogate shinigami pass to get his soul out of his body, obtaining the official shinigami attire and his zanpakuto, the personal weapon of every shinigami, whose name is known as Zangetsu.
He also made sure to bring rescue help, for although he didn't know where exactly Orihime had been taken, he couldn't let his guard down, much less without knowing who or who the perpetrators were.
The rescue party consisted of some of his closest friends, both in the human world and in the Soul Society.
One was a short black-haired boy with a white-colored robe.
That was Uryu Ishida, a quincy.
Like the shinigami, the quincy also fought against the hollows, but because of the way they acted, the shinigami decided to exterminate them all, with him being one of the few remaining.
Despite this and some first encounters, he and Ichigo got along well and saw each other as friends/rivals.
Another was a very tall brown-skinned man with his hair covering one side of his face.
That was Yasutora Sado or as most call him, Chad.
At first, he considered himself an ordinary human until after certain events, he discovered that he was a fullbringer, a being capable of manipulating the soul of things.
Then there were the friends hailing from the Soul Society.
The first was a young woman of short stature and black hair.
That was Rukia Kuchiki, vice-capitan of the 13th division.
She was the first shinigami Ichigo met and the one directly responsible for making his powers awaken.
She isn't only considered the person who changed Ichigo's life, but also his best friend and mentor when he needs help.
The second was a young red-haired man with a blindfold over his eyes.
That was Renji Abarai, vice-capitan of the 6th division.
At first, he was Ichigo's enemy due to some events related to the Soul Society and Rukia, but after an intense fight between them, they became good friends and sometimes consider each other as rivals.
"So, a portal suddenly appeared and sucked Orihime in?" asked Uryu.
"Yes, that's what happened." said Ichigo.
"Are you sure it wasn't an illusion or something?" asked Renji.
"I know what I saw, and it wasn't an illusion!" said Ichigo pointing at the vice-captain.
"Calm down. Calm down. I'm just saying it could have been a deception by the enemy to make us think that happened." said Renji raising his hands in defense.
"In that case, they wouldn't have used that strange energy that Kisuke is analyzing right now." said Chad.
"Well, don't worry, Ichigo. I'm sure Kisuke will find out where they've taken her and when he does, we'll go there right away to rescue her." said Rukia with a smile.
"Thank you, Rukia." said Ichigo.
"That's what friends are for, right?" asked Rukia.
"Still, I find it odd to use an unknown energy to kidnap Orihime." began Uryu before adjusting his glasses. "Clearly we're not dealing with just any enemy."
"Bah. We've faced Aizen, his espada and those fullbringers. I don't think it's that big a deal." said Renji.
"It would be best not to get overconfident, Renji. We don't know what kind of enemy is doing all this." said Ichigo.
Chad nodded in agreement.
"Then why didn't you warn the Soul Society?" asked Rukia.
"It's all about saving Orihime. If the matter becomes more serious, that's when we'll warn them." said Ichigo.
"Look at you. I never imagined seeing you so mature." said Rukia with a smile.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" asked Ichigo with an anime streak running through his head, much to the vice-captain's laughter.
It was then that everyone noticed Kisuke's arrival in the room.
"Follow me everyone. I have news." said Kisuke.
Soon after, they all found themselves in a room, with Kisuke sitting in front of a computer that he was entering commands into.
"There is good news and bad news. The good news is that I've managed to collect enough data from that energy to be able to analyze it properly, and I've managed to find the trail it left behind, that is, the trail along which Orihime was taken." said Kisuke.
"Great. Where is she?" asked Ichigo happy to make progress on the case.
"That's the bad news. It turns out that Orihime isn't in this world." said Kisuke.
"Does that mean she's in Soul Society?" asked Rukia.
"Or in Hueco Mundo?" asked Uryu.
"Neither one nor the other. She seems to be in a totally different world from ours or any we know of." said Kisuke.
"If Orihime is in that other world, how will we get there?" asked Renji.
"Luckily, I have the exact coordinates. All we have to do is open a senkaimon that will take you there directly." said Kisuke with a smile.
"Good. Let's not waste any more time." said Ichigo.
Later, they were all in the basement of the store that doubled as a training ground due to it being a VERY large rocky desert themed space.
Kisuke was entering some commands into a device before turning his head to look at the rescue team.
"Ok. I'll open the door in a few minutes, but it will only be open for a few seconds, so feel free to come in." began Kisuke receiving a nod from the others before returning to his duty. "And… that's it."
The next instant oriental doors formed in mid-air and slid open on either side, revealing a white background on the other side.
"Does anyone want to say anything?" asked Ichigo to the others.
"Yes." began Rukia drawing the attention of the substitute shinigami. "Here we go." said Rukia with a smile which Ichigo returned with a nod.
Without further hesitation, they all took a leap towards the door, straight into the white background on the other side and once they passed the doors, they closed, with the door disappearing shortly after.
Meanwhile, in the other world, we focused on the building where the dark bubble appeared when we arrived from the portal, which happened to be Canterlot High.
A place where the students got along well despite their many differences.
A message conveyed by Twilight when she arrived in that world some time ago and now maintained by the group known as Mane 7, made up of the Mane 6 counterparts from that world along with Sunset Shimmer, a unicorn from Equestria who formed a new life in that world with her new friends.
Right now, Sunset was on the stairs at the entrance of the building, writing something in a book, but that wasn't just any book, it was a magical book that allowed her to be able to communicate with Twilight even though they were in different worlds.
While she was writing about what has been going on lately, the other girls were around her doing their own thing.
"You know? It's nice to have some peace, but I'd like something exciting to happen." said Rainbow Dash.
"You can't be serious. Don't you like to enjoy a little peace and quiet in the atmosphere?" asked Applejack.
"Yes, we deserve it after that adventure with the beastmen, the slime…" began Pinkie Pie.
"What are you talking about?" asked Spike.
"Oh, nothing." said Pinkie Pie with a toothy grin.
"I know. Why don't we go to the mall?" asked Rarity.
"Rarity, we already went the other day and all we did was carry your many shopping bags." said Twilight.
"Oh, don't worry, dear. Right now, there's nothing new I'm interested in." said Rarity.
"Or that I don't have." whispered Rainbow Dash to Applejack who chuckled at that.
"Rather, I was thinking of just going there and having some fun. As well as have some ice cream. Of course, it's on me as a compensation and thank you for last time." said Rarity.
"That sounds really nice." said Fluttershy.
"Okay. I'm in." said Applejack.
"I second the motion." said Pinkie Pie with her arm raised.
"If you're the one inviting, then rest assured I'll be in." said Rainbow Dash.
"What do you say, Sunset? Are you in?" asked Twilight.
"Sure. I just finished just now." said Sunset putting the book away in her backpack.
With all said and done, the Mane 7 set off for another normal day in the city.
Somewhere in the city, in mid-air, oriental doors formed and opened, revealing a white background on the other side.
From that white background, out came Ichigo and the others and, soon after, the doors closed and disappeared.
Thanks to their shinigami, quincy and fullbringer powers, they were able to stand up in the air as if there was solid ground.
"So, this is the other world? Well, I don't see it that different from where we came from." said Renji.
"No. I don't detect any reiatsu anywhere." said Uryu.
"That's true. In fact, I'm feeling small marks of a strange energy that I don't know about." said Rukia.
"Maybe it's about the energy that brought Orihime to this world." said Chad.
"Which means we're in the right place. Let's go." said Ichigo about to take a step when…
"Wait, Ichigo. Were you seriously planning to just look everywhere once we arrived?" asked Rukia with her arms crossed.
"Well... yes." said Ichigo a bit confused.
"Ay, Ichigo. Despite being strong enough to defeat powerful opponents, you're still a neophyte at detecting reiatsu." said Uryu shaking his head in disappointment.
"We're not all good at everything." said Ichigo folding his arms.
"That's true. Take yourself as an example." said Renji with an amused smile, causing Ichigo to growl at him in irritation.
"Anyway, if Orihime is the only one who possesses reiatsu in this world, then it will be easy to track her down." began Rukia before closing her eyes to concentrate and that's when she caught a glimpse of a white bandage floating in the air with one end tied to something far away and once she finished, Rukia opened her eyes. "Over there." said Rukia pointing in one direction.
"Right. Let's not waste time." said Ichigo before he and the others set off.
