The Evans Household

"Mum, have you seen my coat?" Lily's voice echoed through the house as she hurried down the stairs, her eyes darting around the hallway in a frantic search. It was one of those mornings where chaos reigned supreme, and the disappearance of her coat was just the latest mishap in a string of them.

Her mother's voice drifted from the kitchen, slightly obscured by the clatter of dishes. "Have you checked the coat rack, dear?"

Lily paused, mentally retracing her steps. The coat rack! It was the most logical place for it to be. She rushed the rest of the way down, inadvertently bumping into Petunia.

"Lily! Watch where you're going!"

Ignoring her sister's admonishment, Lily grabbed her coat and hastily threw it on. Finally! The moment she had been waiting for had arrived—she was going to spend the day at James's manor. Of course, Sirius and the others would be there too, but still...

It was James Potter! Her boyfriend from one of the biggest wizarding families in the world! Lily's heart fluttered at the thought of spending the day with James. She couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement every time she thought about him, his mischievous grin, and his unruly hair that seemed to defy gravity.

As she made her way to the kitchen, she caught a glimpse of herself in the hallway mirror. Her reflection showed a young witch with bright green eyes, her cheeks flushed with anticipation. She smoothed down her bright red hair and adjusted her coat, making sure she looked presentable for James.

In the kitchen, her mother turned from the sink, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "Excited to see James, dear?"

Lily blushed, feeling caught out. "Yes, Mum. He's just... he's wonderful."Her mother chuckled softly. "I can see that. Just be careful, Lily. Boys like James Potter can be a handful."

Lily nodded, her mind drifting back to the first time she met James. It had been on the train to Hogwarts, in their first year. He was a bit rude to Severa when it came to what house she wanted to be in, But his smile was so...dreamy.

Thinking of Severa, her expression soured. She hadn't spared a thought for her ex-best friend all summer... well, that wasn't entirely true; she had dwelled on her just last night. But now wasn't the time to dwell on that... girl.

Just as her father entered the kitchen, a house elf materialized right before them, causing Petunia to let out a piercing scream. "AHHH, What on earth is that?" She sought refuge behind their father.

"Petunia! Don't startle it like that," Lily scolded, positioning herself between her sister and the elf. "That's mean!" She shot her sister a stern glance before redirecting her attention to the house elf.

"How may I help you?" The house elf met her gaze before speaking.

"Are you ready to depart, Miss Lily?" She broke out into a smile before she ran upstairs, grabbed her bag, and ran right back downstairs. "I'm ready!"

She grabbed the elf's hand and waved at her family before she felt the feeling of being drifted away.

Potter Manor

Everybody lounged in the back of the manor, sprawled out on the lush grass of the Potter estate, basking in the warmth of the sun.

Peter and Fleamont dashed about, engaged in a spirited game of 'catch the golden snitch,' their laughter ringing through the air. Meanwhile, Euphemia sat serenely in a chair, her fingers deftly knitting away.

James slouched beside her, a glum expression on his face as he lamented his inability to soar through the sky on his broom. Across from them, Remus and Sirius sat at a chessboard, but Sirius couldn't resist the urge to disrupt the game, his attention diverted by Severa, who sat nearby lost in a book, as he attempted to charm her with playful banter.

"What ya reading?" he asked in a sing-y-songy voice, leaning over her shoulder to get a look at her book.

She didn't even spare him a glance as she kept on reading. "Sod off, black."

It had been a week since the dress incident, and ever since, Sirirus had taken it upon himself to be Severa's personal everything. If she needed a test dummy or just someone to glare at, he was there and ready!

Severa sighed, her patience wearing thin as Sirius continued to hover over her shoulder. She had grown accustomed to his persistent attempts at friendship (or whatever this was) ever since the incident with her dress, but sometimes his relentless teasing grated on her nerves.

"It's a Muggle novel," she replied, her tone curt as she tried to focus on her reading. "Something you wouldn't understand."

Sirius chuckled, undeterred by her dismissive attitude. "Ah, come on, Sevyy baby," he persisted, flashing her a mischievous grin. "You know I'm a quick learner. Give me a chance to expand my horizons."

Severa rolled her eyes, closing the book with a sigh of resignation. "Fine, if it'll get you to leave me alone," she relented, holding out the book for Sirius to see. "But no funny business, okay?"

Sirius grinned, accepting the book with a flourish. "Scout's honor," he declared, crossing his heart with a dramatic flourish before settling down beside her to delve into the world of Muggle literature, leaving Remus alone with a half-done chess game.

Meanwhile, James was getting his ears talked as his mum went on and on about her knitting, he guessed this was his punishment for Snivys dress, but all that would be in the past as soon as Lily arrived. Mum had let him invite her over cause in her mind James needed someone else to help him 'cope with being a teen'.

James squirmed in his seat, barely listening to his mother's ramblings about the intricacies of knitting patterns. But as his mother continued to drone on, James couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance watching Sirius get all cozy with Snivellus, I mean, he was damn near drooling all over her!

James's annoyance grew as he watched Sirius huddled up to her, their heads bent over the book as Sirius joked around and Snape glared. It was bad enough that Snivellus was always sticking her ugly nose where it didn't belong, but now she was encroaching on James's territory with Sirius too?

With a scowl, James pushed himself up from his seat, but before he could storm across the garden, he heard the pop of a house elf. He whipped around as the house elf told him Lily had arrived and was waiting in the drawing room.

James's irritation at Sirius and Severa's closeness faded into the background as he heard the news of Lily's arrival. With a surge of excitement, he dashed inside, his heart pounding with anticipation. The thought of seeing Lily again filled him with a rush of adrenaline, pushing aside any lingering frustrations or concerns.

As he burst into the drawing-room, his eyes immediately sought out Lily, who was standing by the window, her fiery red hair glowing in the sunlight. She turned to face him as he entered, her bright green eyes lighting up with a smile that made James's heart skip a beat.

"Hey, James," she greeted him, her voice soft and warm as she stepped forward to meet him.

"Lily!" James exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement as he closed the distance between them in a few quick strides. Without hesitation, he pulled her into a tight hug, reveling in the familiar scent of her hair and the warmth of her embrace.

"It's so good to see you," he murmured, his voice filled with genuine affection as he held her close. For a moment, everything else faded away, and all that mattered was the simple joy of being reunited with the girl who meant everything to him.

Potter Manor, Couple Hours Later

While James and Lily spent the day upstairs in his room, doing god knows what.

Remus and Peter were downstairs laughing their bums off as Sirius was getting hit over the head with a pillow by Severa.

"Please, Sevvy Baby," he held his hands up as a shield. "I didn't do it, I swear!" it all started when Severa went to the restroom while they were all eating fish and chips, but when she came back, the chips were gone. And she blamed him.

She held the pillow above her head, ready to deliver a blow. "call me 'Sexy Baby' one more time and I swear..." Her eyes were in slits, like a snake.

"It's actually 'Sevyy Baby', but..." he heard the sound of Peter chuckling right before his face met pillow.

Sirius let out a muffled laugh as the pillow collided with his face, momentarily obscuring his vision. He reached out, attempting to grab the pillow from Severa's hands, but she danced out of his reach with a playful grin.

"Alright, alright, no more 'Sevvy Baby'," he conceded, his laughter ringing out as he dodged another swing of the pillow. "I promise, I'll be good!"

Remus and Peter watched from the sidelines, their laughter echoing through the room as they enjoyed the spectacle. It was moments like these, filled with laughter and lighthearted banter, that reminded them of the bond they shared as friends, a bond that transcended the chaos and drama of their daily lives.

Before the pillow fight could continue, Euphemia entered the room, her laughter infectious as she balanced a plate of cookies in one hand and wiped away tears of mirth with the other. Her presence brought a sense of warmth and joy to the scene, dispelling any lingering tension from the earlier pillow fight.

"Alright, y'all, I think that's enough mischief for one day," she declared with a playful twinkle in her eye, setting the plate of cookies down on the nearest table. "You'll have to save some energy for dinner."

Sirius grinned mischievously, his eyes sparkling with amusement as he nudged Severa playfully. "Looks like we'll have to continue this later, Sev," he teased, earning himself a playful shove in response.

Remus and Peter chuckled, already reaching for the cookies as Euphemia joined them just as two people made their way into the room, their faces of joy wiped off their faces as soon as they stepped foot into the room.

Lily was frozen in place, what in the hell was severa doing here? James hadn't told her anything about this. She looked over at him and his eyes were hard and his grip on her hand tightened. She looked back at the people before her and spook what was on her mind.

"What is she doing here?"

The atmosphere in the room shifted as Lily's voice cut through the air, her tone sharp with confusion and disbelief. James tensed beside her, his grip on her hand tightening almost painfully as he struggled to find the right words.

Severa glanced up from her spot on the couch, her expression unreadable as she met Lily's gaze head-on. "I'm staying here," she replied calmly, her voice steady despite the tension crackling in the air. "What's your excuse?"

Lily bristled at Severa's retort, her jaw set with determination as she squared her shoulders. "I'm here because James invited me," she shot back, her tone challenging. "What's your excuse for being here, besides causing trouble as usual?"

The room fell silent, the air heavy with unresolved tension as James and Severa exchanged tense glances. Euphemia shifted uncomfortably, her gaze darting between the two girls as she searched for a way to diffuse the brewing conflict.

"Do you two girls know each other?" Euphemia got up from her seat and walked over to Lily to shake the young girl's hand, but Lily was far too busy trying not to cry just from seeing Severa. She whipped her head to look at James.

"Why didn't you tell me she was here?!" her voice was full of anger just as her eyes were full of tears.

As Lily's anger flared, James stumbled over his words, caught off guard by her sudden outburst. He opened his mouth to respond, but Remus beat him to it, her voice cutting through the tense silence.

"Just calm down a bit, Lily," Remus interjected, his tone surprisingly calm given the circumstances. "It's not any of our fault James didn't tell you."

Lily turned to glare at Remus, her eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and hurt. "What?" she demanded, her voice trembling with emotion. "What are y'all trying to hide?" she looked at everyone in the room before she looked back at James.

"I'm going home." A house elf popped in holding her bag. James reached out to stop her but she pushed him off before grabbing the house elf's hand once more, and she was gone.

The room was still, nobody moved nor spoke until James whipped around, fury in his eyes and he started screaming at Severa for ruining everything.

Severa's eyes winded at James's sudden outburst, his words like daggers piercing through the tense silence that enveloped the room. She had anticipated his anger, but it still stung to hear him blame her for Lily's departure.

"It's not like I told you not to tell her!" Severa shot back, her voice tinged with frustration as she rose to her feet, her own emotions bubbling to the surface. "I'm not the causing all this trouble, you are!"

James's face twisted with rage, his fists clenched at his sides as he took a menacing step toward Severa. "This is all your fault!" he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "You and your stupid games, always trying to ruin everything!"

Euphemia walked over to James to try and calm him down but someone spoke up before she had the chance.

"Everyone calm down!" Fleamont yelled as he walked into the drawing room. "Dinner is being served, once you all are in the dining room," he took a deep breath. "We shall have a talk."

His gaze fell directly on his dear wife, Euphemia.
