Chapter 15: A Daring "Rescue" from Above: Tuxedo Mask's Gallant Return!
Earlier
Mamoru Chiba had returned to Juuban early.
His field trip had to be cut short due to poor weather, so now they were taking a train back home.
"I hope that Usako is okay..."Mamoru said as he sent her a text message.
Soon, the train stopped at Juuban station and the tall college student got off, taking his luggage with him.
He soon managed to get to his apartment, and left his luggage there, deciding to unpack later.
"Okay, Usako might be at home now or at the arcade with the girls. I might see her tomorrow..."He thought, hoping that she was okay.
However, he suddenly heard the sound of people screaming and panicking, as he saw a large crowd running away.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! GET THE CHILDREN TO SAFETY!..."A woman yelled as she carried her son in her arms as she ran.
"Monsters!..."A man yelled as he carried two children away.
"What's going on?!..."Mamoru asked, but because everyone was in a panic and kept running and screaming.
He was unable to get someone to talks to him. He did hear bits of "evil spirits", "monster", "attack at the park", "yokais" and even " Hachishaku-sama" but they were all screaming one at a time and he manages to piece things together.
"Oh no! Looks like trouble brewing!..."Mamoru said as he went to a nearby ally to change forms.
Soon, he was out and went to the direction where people were screaming.
The park.
Once there, he saw a strange, black and white boy in a fight with Sailor Jupiter and a mystery creature, while the other girls were busy destroying another yokai nearby.
"I was right, trouble! Looks like one left!..."Tuxedo Mask said, getting the wrong idea.
He then threw a rose and waited for them to notice, getting the other evil spirit's attention.
Unfortunately, he picked the wrong spirit.
Present Time
Danny, still holding a rose, was shocked by the fancy looking hero who pointed at him.
"Wonder the majestic shines of the moonlight get shrouded in darkness, one glimmer of hope will always be there to Moon's light back to life. So says, Tuxedo Mask!..."Tuxedo Mask declared as he vanishes in a puff of rose petals, only to reappear in the lamppost's spotlight.
Danny Phantom was currently caught off guard and left speechless.
"Tuxedo Mask? Kind of in the nose… also, who is this idiot?..." He thought incredulously.
Jupiter and Venus were stunned as Tuxedo Mask then proceeded to talk down to Danny.
"I know not why you come to harm, only that I will stop you..."The dramatic hero said before holding out a cane.
"What are you gonna do, dance?..." Danny questioned with a scoff.
"Dance to this!..."He shouted as he ran in, swinging his cane.
"Whoa! Knock it off, weirdo! I'm sure I can help you get to Broadway, unless you want my fist to launch you there!..."Danny yelled as he used his ghost shield to deflect the attacks.
Venus and Jupiter tried to get his attention.
"Hey, Tuxedo Mask! Wait!..."Jupiter tried to get him to stop.
Their male accomplice continued, misunderstanding them.
"No worries, Jupiter and Venus. I shall dispose of this troublemaker..."Tuxedo Mask said, not listening as he resumed his attacking the shield.
Danny glared at him.
"Okay, that does it. You asked for this, Harry Houdini!..."He said as he lowered his shield to punch him in the chest.
The two male heroes began to fight as Venus and Jupiter panicked.
"Tuxedo Mask! Stop!..."Venus shouted as the two male heroes ignored them.
"He's not the enemy!..."Jupiter yelled, but they didn't seem to hear her.
"What's going on?!..."Sailor Moon said as she with the rest came running due to the fight.
Venus looked angry.
"Your boyfriend is attacking my future boyfriend, that's what's happening!..."Venus yelled at her.
"We gotta stop them, before they hurt each other. This is a huge misunderstanding..."Jupiter said, gesturing to them.
"Fall, foul spirit!..."Tuxedo Mask yelled dramatically.
"Like I'm losing to some dork in a suit and top hat?!..."Danny yelled, about to fire a ghost ray.
However, the fight was put on hold as someone pushed them away.
"ENOUGH!..."Jupiter yelled as she literally got in between the two boys, breaking up the fight as she kept them at arm's length.
"Hey, what are you doing Jupiter?!..."Tuxedo Mask asked before Moon pulled him by the arm.
"Tuxedo Mask!..."She yelled at him.
"Sailor Moon!..."Tuxedo Mask said in relief.
A very audible groan caught his attention.
"What the heck are you two idiots doing?!..."Mars asked.
"Hey, I was just minding my own business and this idiot suddenly started spouting nonsense like some lame live-action superhero show and attacked me!..."Danny said.
"I was trying to defend the citizens from him!..."Tuxedo Mask yelled, pointing at Danny.
"Uh...T-Tuxedo Mask? I think that there is a bit of a misunderstanding here..."Moon said, sweat dropping here.
Tuxedo Mask dropped his glare and noticed the rest of the Guardians looked at him disapprovingly.
"Did I make a mistake?..." He asked.
"Yeah, two. Attacking me... and that name. Tuxedo Mask? That is the dumbest superhero name I ever heard... and people tried to call me Inviso-Bill..." Danny said.
"Watch it!..." Tuxedo Mask snapped.
"Guys. Behave!..." Jupiter went with a tired look on her face before explanations happened.
10 minutes later.
"And that's what happened..."Moon said as her beloved was shocked by her words.
"Seriously?..."He asked as he turned to the other Guardians.
They all nodded.
"Indeed. Danny Phantom is not an evil spirit. In fact, he is a superhero from America that has been sent to aid us and help us prepare for an upcoming attack that will come in two days..."Mercury explained.
"And he's going to help us..."Jupiter said.
"So no trying to pick a fight with him..." Venus said, acting like a mother chastising her child.
"Hmph... fine... as long as he takes back his insults at my name..."The masked superhero said.
"Excuse me?..." Danny asked, frowning.
'You mock my name, yet yours is just your first name, followed by a word sharing one syllable..." Tuxedo Mask stated.
"Fine... I'm sorry..." Danny said with an eyeroll.
"Good, now th-"
"I have more creative suggestions though. Like... Captain Top Hat... Cape Man... Wonder Tux... Super Suit... Domino Defender..." Danny listed off with a mischievous smile.
Tuxedo Mask scowled at him as, to his disappointment, the Sailor Guardians were failing to stifle laughter at a few of his "suggestions".
"Stop..." He said in a low growl.
"One more and I'm done..."A snickering Danny said.
"Proceed..." Tuxedo Mask said in a sight with an eyeroll.
"Fancy Man!..."Danny said in an overly dramatic voice while pretending to be putting on a top hat.
That last caused the five Guardians to burst into laughter a moment before noticing the unamused look Tuxedo Mask's face.
"It wasn't funny..."He grumbled.
"it was a little funny..."Mars admitted with a giggle, only to receive a glare from the male hero.
All of them slowly managed to stop before taking deep breaths.
"Okay... so... will you help us stop this threat when it arrives?..." Moon asked.
"Okay, I'm in..."Tuxedo Mask, volunteering to help.
"And do you promise no fighting with Danny? He is on our side after all..." Venus asks, gesturing to Danny.
"As long as he gives me no trouble, I'll tolerate him..."Tuxedo Mask said.
"Likewise..." Danny responded.
"Good. Now...onto business..."Mars said, wanting to get this over with.
A little later
Danny, Tuxedo Mask and the girls were now on a nearby rooftop, away from prying eyes.
They were both trying to discuss how to prepare to deal with the upcoming threat, and what to do before facing then.
"So...these genius loci? You said that you couls find more info on what they could be?..."Danny asked.
Mercury nodded.
"Yes, I know that they are the protective spirit of a place. And if these ones are capable of time travel, they must be strong..."She said.
"Okay, so we know that so far..."Danny said.
"So, you just came to tell us about them, but you hardly seem to know much about these new enemies. Not much of a warning..."Tuxedo Mask critisized.
Danny frowned.
"Watch it, Fancy Pants! I'll have you know that I've helped kick serious butt since I got here...not just ghosts but I also helped the girls against those yolk eye monsters too!..."He said.
"Yokai...um...its pronounced "yokai"..."Mercury corrected.
"Right. That..."Danny said.
"Clockwork sent me here for a reason, and I will do my best against them..."He declared.
Jupiter sent a small smile at that, while Venus had hearts in her eyes the entire time.
The other girls were just happy to have all the help that they could get.
"Tuxedo Mask, he was sent to help us fight against evil locci's from the future who want revenge. He has also helped us against some enemies, so I want you to give him the benefit of the doubt and play nice..."Moon said.
Tuxedo Mask sighed.
"Fine..."He grumbled.
Danny raised a brow at theur interacrion.
"Weird. Why do I get the feeling that they aren't JUST superhero partners?..."He thought.
"So, what else did your friend say?..."Tuxedo Mask asked.
"Well..."Danny began, as he continued to explain all he knew.
The next few hours were about him, and his knew allies making plans and preparing for the upcoming attack.
Later
Danny, now in his human form, was finally "off duty" for today.
He and his new allies spent the last few hours planning, strategizing and even training for the upcoming attack.
After about 3 hours, the girls recalled that they had civilian lives that they had to get back to and seperated for the day.
"I sure hope that this works..."He thought, as he sighed.
He felt hungry and decided to go grab a bite to eat. He tried to find that diner where he ate at earlier, but was having trouble remembering where it was.
"Was it this way? Or did I take a wrong turn?..."Danny asked, as he looked around.
"Danny-kun?..."Was heard.
Danny turned around, and saw Minako with her pet cat.
He smiled.
"Oh, Hi...uh...Minako, right?..."He asked, and the pretty blonde girl smiled at him.
"Yep, but you can call me Mina-chan..."She declared.
"Uh...sure..."Danny said, as he noticed Artemis.
"Is your cat feeling better?..."He asked.
"Oh, yes. Artemis was just dealing with a furball is all..."Minako said cheerfully.
"More like I was trying hard not to lose my lunch..."The white cat thought, as the blonde girl kept trying to flirt with the oblivious boy.
"So, what brings you here?..."Minako asked, trying to look cute.
"I'm trying to find a place to eat. I remember that there is a diner that I really liked around here...but I can't remember where it was..."Danny said.
Minako blinked, but she smiled and got an idea.
"Oh, well... I'm pretty good with direction. Maybe I can help. What was the name of the place?..."She asked.
"It was something like...well...ugh! I can't even remember the name! ..."He said.
Both Artemis and Minako sweat dropped at that, and even Minako did too before speaking up.
"Well, I can't exactly help if I don't know the name of the place...but if you are just looking for a place to eat, I have some suggestions..."She said.
'Yeah?..."Danny asked.
"Well, I know a place called Cafe Crepe. I can lead you there..."Minak said.
"Really?..."He asked, relieved as the blonde girl nodded.
"Sure. You'll love it. My friends and I have been there and they have the best crepes around..."Minako said, as she wanted to spend more time with him.
Since Danny was just hungry, he was willing to eat anything at this point.
"Sure, I guess that I could go for some crepes..."He said, making the pretty blonde girl smile.
"Goody..."She said cheerfully.
Artemis sighed.
"Here we go again..."He thought, as the two soon left together to get some crepes.
"I hope that these crepes aren't too expensive..."Danny thought, unaware of his new blonde friend's thoughts.
"Getting to hang out with a cute superhero, AND sharing a meal with a cute foreigh guy! Score!..."Minako thought giddily, feeling like this is her lucky day.
The two teenagers were on their way to Cafe Crepe, unaware of what the future had in store now.
