Summary: Summary: Michael & Jules have always been best friends. When she reveals her true feelings on his wedding day to Kimmy, he feels blindsided. However, when he reflects on their friendship, he realizes she always put him first. Who will be chosen in the end?

Chapter 4

(Every member of Kimmy's family looks at Michael in shock. Kimmy folds her arms over her chest and scoffs angrily at Jules. She wasn't mad at her fiancé. She understood his confusion. No, she was pissed off that the bitch put ideas in his head. Because of that, he now had doubts about marrying her. If it were just her and Jules alone in that moment, Kimmy would have kicked her ass)

(Kimmy had never met a more selfish person in all her life than when she met Jules, Michael's best friend. She couldn't understand how Jules could do this to her. Kimmy finally learned the hard way that she shouldn't trust so easily. The reason she did regarding Jules? Because Michael did, so she thought she could. Boy, was she wrong)

(It was obvious that her family had questions and concerns on Michael's announcement. Kimmy didn't know whether to be surprised or not on Michael's declaration. She honestly thought Michael was smarter than this. They had been together for a long time. She thought they were solid, but apparently not. Kimmy vowed in that moment that she would make Michael see reason. She would help Michael realize where his heart really lied. It definitely wasn't with the bitch Jules)

(Michael had to quiet everyone down as he couldn't even hear himself think. When there was finally silence, he spoke)

Michael: "I'm not saying I'm cancelling getting married to Kimmy. I just..."

Isabelle: (shocked) "Michael! What the hell is going on? Did you cheat on my daughter?"

Walter: "Now, Isabelle. Let's not jump to conclusions."

Mandy: (scoffs) "He probably did. So much for true love."

Samantha: (snorts) "Oh, come on, Mandy. We should have known. He says he loves our Kimmy, but maybe he's just telling us what we wanna hear."

Michael: (sighs) "No, I'm not. I do love Kimmy. Isabelle, no, I didn't cheat on Kimmy. I love your daughter."

Kimmy: "It's because of his so called best friend. We had blinders on...all of us."

Michael: "Kimmy, don't be like that."

(Kimmy raises her hands by her sides)

Kimmy: "Like what, Michael? Don't you see what she's doing? She's trying to come between us and you're letting her. We went from getting ready for our perfect day to the bitch destroying it."

Michael: (annoyed) "Kimmy, she's not a bitch. She's just...confused. As am I."

Kimmy: (shrugs) "What's there to be confused about, Michael? You either love me or you don't. You either want to marry me or you don't. You seem to be making your choice very clear. You chose her."

(Jules couldn't take it anymore. She was tired of everyone bashing Michael. She walks to Kimmy and angrily points at her foe)

Jules: "Didn't I just say the same thing earlier to you? You don't speak for him. Neither do I. Why don't you give him a chance to collect his thoughts instead of making accusations?"

(Samantha and Mandy look at Jules in shock at the way she spoke to Kimmy)

Mandy: "If I didn't know any better, Kimmy, I'd say Jules wanted Michael for herself."

Samantha: "I think it's high time Michael stood his ground and made a choice." (to Michael) "Didn't Kimmy or you say you haven't really spoken to Jules in years? Now, all of a sudden, she has this deep love for you?"

(Kimmy shakes her head in frustration)

Kimmy: "I need to get out of here. I need to think."

Isabelle: "We'll come with you."

Walter: "Michael, please take this time to figure out what's going on. I don't want you marrying my little girl until things are worked out. You owe her that much."

(Kimmy walks away with her family behind her. Jules couldn't help but be relieved. In her opinion, everyone was putting too much pressure on him. If Jules unknowingly did that, too, she felt horrible. She faces Michael with sorrow)

Jules: "For what it's worth, I'm sorry about what happened. If I had known that they would be treating you like this, I would have kept my mouth shut."

Michael: (snorts) "No, you wouldn't."

Jules: (rolls her eyes) "Okay, fine. But I don't like how they treated you...because of me."

Michael: (raises his eyebrows) "Yeah, it wasn't exactly my favorite moment." (shrugs) "But, I do think we need to talk. Don't you?"

(Jules fidgets nervously as she wonders what to say)

Jules: "I don't want to put you in a bad spot. Yeah, I did that earlier. You didn't deserve that, though. I'm sorry."

(Michael sits down on the steps in the wedding aisle before facing his best friend)

Michael: "Come on, Jules. Let's talk."

Jules: (hesitantly) "Are you sure you want to? I don't want to force you to do anything you don't wanna do."

Michael: (chuckles) "I think it's safe to say this conversation is long overdue. Don't you think?"

(Jules sits down next to him)

Jules: (tilts her head) "I guess. Will they be back here?"

Michael: "Something tells me they won't anytime soon." (sighs) "Okay, there are no distractions anymore. No Kimmy or the extended family. Let's do this."

Jules: (nods) "Okay."
