Airwolf landed at Knightsbridge and it's crew went to the main conference room where Gabriel, his aide of the week, and John Horn were waiting for them while looking at a detailed model of the island on the main display. Addie asked "You have a briefing for us?" Gabriel said "We do. We went over islands layout and used the most recent satellite data as well as John's knowledge to generate this. Once Airwolf is in the Air we will send it to your computers. Sam pointed to John and asked "Who is he?" David told him "The only person in this room that has to worry about Addie killing them more than you." Addie said "He's our number four for this mission. Let's look this over and plan out our attack." Sam, his curiosity getting the better of him asked "If Addie wants to kill him more than me, and we are both going on this mission together, what is so important? More importantly, what the hell did he do to piss her off?" Addie interrupted "Our primary objective is rescuing the hostage, John would you be so kind as to tell us about the hostage?" John nodded to Gabriel's assistant who put a picture of a young girl on the screen and said "The hostage is my daughter, she is eight years old. General Patel turned on me, locked my Airwolf in a hanger where I couldn't access it, and I escaped from the country I helped him take over. To show his thanks he sent a strike team to my personal house. He killed my wife and took my daughter. He offered to return her to me if I would give him the access codes to my Airwolf in person, while promising to let us go afterwards. I know that If I did that he would kill her in front of me, then kill me." David said "What role did your wife play in all of this?" John said "None. As far as she was concerned I traveled a lot for business and we moved a lot so I could be at the next job site." David then said "I found records on you, but none on your daughter or wife." John said "I married them using my father's last name. It was a security measure I had hoped would protect them. How Patel found them, I don't know." Sam asked "What is the girls name?" John said "Elizabeth Diane Hawke." Sam looked at Addie, then David, then back to John who confirmed "We are half siblings, we met about six months ago." Sam considered and asked "Does Allen know?" John replied "Allen?" Addie said "Your half brother, and yeah, he knows." John asked "Why isn't he here?" Gabriel sensing the tension building in the room said "That's classified. If I could pull him out and send him on this mission I would, unfortunately we have much more important matters that require his unique skill set. Let's get back to the briefing."
Addie looked up from the documents she was reading then said "Our secondary objective is to capture or kill General Patel and eliminate the defensive systems he has put in place on the island so that the legitimate government can return. The Australians are hosting the government in exile and will help them return to power once we achieve this objective." Sam, looking over a copy of the same documents said "So we are flying into a hostile county with one of the most advanced private air defense systems built using a mix of American, Russian, and Chinese weapon systems, extract an eight year old girl with Murder Girl in command and Bastard Boy for backup. Sounds like a walk in the park." Addie glared at Sam, who paled when he noticed the look, as she said "I would advise you not to comment on matters that you know nothing about or I will live up to the name you just gave me." Gabriel shouted "Sam! Mouth closed, ears open! For once in your miserable life use the gray-stuff between your ears for something more than a rattle." John said "Our Tertiary objective will assist us in completing the primary objective. Once we have my Airwolf in the air we can obliterate any surviving air defense systems with prejudice." Sam asked "You seriously have an Airwolf? I thought there was only one." John said "Until the primary objective is complete. Then Addie owns it." Sam looked at David, then Gabriel, and asked "Please tell me she is turning it over to you." Gabriel said "We hope she will so we can inspect and upgrade it with systems currently used in Airwolf. Then we will return it to her in better condition than we got." Addie looked at him and Gabriel said "I hadn't mentioned it because I didn't want to count our chickens before they hatch."
Gabriel's assistant put the map that John had helped them create up and Addie said "Back to the briefing. Airwolf will approach from the west skimming the waves using full whisper and stealth modes. We will land in the central courtyard where Patel has four hangers and his palace. John and I will then assault the palace and rescue the hostage as Airwolf lifts off and begins suppressing the air defenses." John said "Lizzy is being held in the south west corner on the third floor." Sam cut him off and asked "How do you know that?" John answered "I taught her that if she was ever kidnapped that she should mark the window of any room she had access to in a certain way. Gabriel's satellite images revealed the marking on the windows for the room in that location. Thermal satellite images show a human her size in the room. No other thermal images have anyone matching her size in the compound." Addie continued "Satellite radar scans have given us the plans of the palace and confirmed Fauxwolf is located in the hanger furthest from the palace. Once we have the hostage we will exit the building and make our way to Fauxwolf and determine if it can be flown. If it can be flown we will launch it and assist you in obliterating the defenses. If it can not be launched you will extract us and destroy Fauxwolf on the ground. Then we will obliterate the shore defenses and if General Patel survives personnel from the HMAS Canberra will correct that oversight." Gabriel said "Regardless of what happens we will expect you to ex-filtrate to the USS Ronald Reagan where both aircraft will be refueled and rearmed." Gabriel's assistant looked up from the computer and said "We have just learned that General Patel has acquired six Changhe Z-10 attack helicopters. You can expect at least two to be in the Air as a CAP at any given time, and all six to present themselves as a threat during the operation unless neutralized on the ground. The fact that the Chinese are providing attack helicopters is concerning, and they may have other assets in the area." Several more issues were mentioned, discussed, and planned fore. Three hours later the planning session that masqueraded as a briefing concluded.
As they left the room, Gabriel pulled Addie aside "Don't trust him." Addie said "There is a ninety five percent probability that he dies before the mission is complete." Gabriel asked "How do you figure?" Addie said "I give him a ninety two percent probability of attempting to turn on us and dying for his efforts. I give him a three percent probability of dying in a firefight, a one percent probability of escaping, and a four percent probability of being taken into custody on the Reagan." Gabriel said "Still, watch him carefully. His intel he gave us was fantastic, so whatever he plans to gain from this is far more valuable." Addie made her way to meet with Sam and David when the latter intercepted her "I planned to give these to you later." He handed her several throwing knives and said "These are just like the last ones I made you, same balance and all." Addie smiled and said "Thanks." He then said "Something else. I forged another knife for you, I hate to think you might go on a mission like this and lose that historic Bowie you carry so I made this." He handed her a Bowie knife with some interesting features. Addie said "It's not a traditional Bowie, or a completely modern design." David said "No it is not. First and foremost I matched the blade profile and balance to be just like your historic knife, then I made the grips with Tavory." Addie asked "Tavory?" David said "A synthetic material with tactical applications that has a unique property that matches one found in real ivory." Addie was wide eyed and asked "It feels the same when wet or dry?" David nodded and said "Exactly. While I forged the blade I experimented with a new color case finish process that leaves the blade with a darker non-reflective 'oil slick' type finish than a normal color case finish." Addie admired the knife and asked "What do I owe you?" David said "I was experimenting with a few new techniques and I learned a lot making it. How about this, don't kill John unless he betrays us, and don't hurt Sam." Addie asked "I can kill him if I don't hurt him though?" David replied "I hope you are just joking, but just in case you can't kill him." Addie looked the knife over and sighed before saying "You have a deal, but don't tell them." David said "I won't, I like watching Sam squirm anytime your name is mentioned."
