Upon Mouse's report about Bunny cornering Erin, Voight promptly rushed upstairs with Jay following behind him. Jay inquired, 'What is Bunny doing here?' Voight did not respond to Jay's question. Once the three reached the bullpen, Voight finally saw the situation unfold.

Platt intervened and guided Erin away from Bunny, insisting, 'She's fine.' Voight retorted, 'Fine? She looks like she's about to pass out. You're oblivious.'

Ignoring Bunny's defense, Voight approached her as Platt explained that Bunny had slapped Erin. Bunny defended herself by blaming Erin for the altercation, claiming she only pushed back in self-defense and that the slap wasn't hard.

Voight expressed disdain towards the blonde woman for encouraging Erin to repeat her actions.

Moving closer to her, he disregarded Bunny's identity as both a female and the mother of his partner. Voight was puzzled by his sudden protective instinct towards Erin, whom he reminded himself did not belong to him.

'You lack awareness of the situation at hand, which would likely dissuade you from confronting Erin again,' he asserted.

Bunny remained unimpressed, questioning, 'Is it because she engaged in sexual activity with a man?' Voight retorted, 'You are aware, just like I am, that Erin is promiscuous, and the saying 'like mother, like daughter' holds true.'

Voight forcefully restrained Bunny when she winced in pain, disregarding any potential onlookers. Holding her firmly against Erin's desk, Voight admonished, 'Listen carefully, and heed my words,' asserting his authority by exerting physical control over the woman.

"You should release me, Hank, or I will pursue legal action," Bunny threatened while attempting to free herself from his grasp.

"Are you truly going to allow this individual to restrain me in such a manner?" Bunny demanded, trying to make eye contact with Jay, who remained motionless, along with Mouse and Platt, by Erin's side, as Voight, whom Erin couldn't help but feel proud of, stood nearby. "You are receiving the consequences you deserve, Bunny," Voight stated firmly.

The male sergeant inclined his head to whisper in her ear, saying in a stern voice, "If I ever hear you insult Erin in any way, particularly with derogatory language, I will not hesitate to take action, even if it means throwing you into Lake Michigan."

"And if any of my detectives or I catch you within a hundred feet of this district, they have my full authorization to remove you forcefully.

"Sargent Voight, please release her now," Shelly's voice resonated from behind the group gathered there. "Marshal, please leave," Voight barked at her. "This woman is receiving appropriate consequences," he stated. Bunny struggled as Shelly approached, her heels resounding on the hard floor.

"Release her, Voight, or face the consequences of losing your job," Shelly threatened, prompting Voight to let her go and push her away.

"Halstead, remove her from here and ensure she is taken far away," he instructed. Jay agreed and escorted Bunny downstairs.

"You will regret this, Hank," Bunny warned as she was being led away. "If you want that worthless slut, she's all yours," Bunny added.

Voight shook his head, his hands clenching at his sides. "What is it that you desire, Marshal, aside from meddling where you are not needed," he demanded.

" I just wanted to check up on you, and I see that you have regained your female detective, and have her mother in a hold," Shelly adjusted her glasses as she spoke. Voight replied, "That woman had the audacity to slap my detective and enter here without consent."

Erin listened to their conversation, feeling unsure about the woman but eager to leave. She took a deep breath, moving away from Platt's embrace.

"Hank, may we return home?" Erin approached Voight, the only person she trusted at that moment. "I am exhausted and uncertain if I can endure more," she expressed. Voight agreed with her request.

After checking if Shelly required anything further, Voight turned to Platt, asking, "Could you place 'you know who' in a cell?" Referring to Roland, the gray-haired woman understood and nodded in agreement.

Voight placed his arm around Erin's neck, allowing her to lean against his side as he escorted her downstairs to his truck. 'Would you prefer to make a stop somewhere?' he inquired. The brunette shook her head in response, stating, 'I simply wish to go home.'

ยท Back At Voight's*

Voight assisted Erin in sitting on the couch and then went to retrieve a drink for her, but he was unexpectedly pulled down onto the couch by the brunette, causing him to let out a grunt.

'I apologize if you were in danger of losing your job, Hank,' Erin expressed as she settled herself onto his lap to face him, her hands gently resting on his cheeks.

'It's not your fault, Erin. I would gladly risk losing it if it means keeping you safe,' he assured her. Voight observed Erin nodding, noting her labored breathing and the expression in the hazel eyes of the brunette.

'Erin?' he inquired, aware that the drugs were still in her system and might be causing symptoms beyond fever.

As Erin leaned closer to his face, Voight could feel her warmth and sensed a lack of control in her movements. 'Hm?' she managed to respond, biting her lip. 'Erin, are you feeling all right?' Voight asked, his face reflecting deep concern.

Erin nodded silently as she unexpectedly kissed him, causing a shock to both of them. Once the unexpected kiss occurred, Erin swiftly stood up from Voight's lap, apologizing before quickly dashing off to her room and locking the door.

Voight, taken aback by the sudden turn of events, found himself instinctively touching his lips as he contemplated the situation.

As he was about to go and check on Erin, thinking it might be due to the remnants of the drug in her system, a knock interrupted his approach towards the room where the brunette had secluded herself.

Voight, with a sigh, answered the door to find Al and Ruzek standing there with some of Erin's suitcases. Al calmly remarked, 'I hope this is sufficient,' and inquired about Erin's well-being as Voight ushered them inside.

"Erin is doing alright, she is currently resting in her room," Voight said, which was not entirely untrue, although the specific details did not need to be disclosed. "That is good to hear. Here is everything you requested," Al stated, placing the bags near the stairs.

Voight expressed gratitude, stating, "Thank you both. I will expect to see you tomorrow," as he escorted Al and Ruzek out of the residence. Al inquired with concern, "Are you not planning to return?"

Voight responded, "No, I will be present tomorrow as Erin requires someone here. Moreover, following the recent events involving Bunny, I am reluctant to leave her alone."

Al acknowledged, "I understand," and escorted Ruzek to their car. After their departure, Voight secured the door and proceeded to check on Erin, ensuring to bring her a water bottle and some crackers.

Erin, lying in bed and covered with blankets, chastised herself, questioning, "Why did I kiss Hank?" She attributed the action to the influence of the drugs in her system, although the gesture had felt right in the moment.

Upon hearing a knock on her bedroom door, the brunette flinched and turned to see Voight standing there. He asked, 'Erin, can I come in?' Erin sighed and proceeded to unlock the door to let him in. 'I apologize for kissing you, Hank. It wasn't-' Erin began, but Voight silenced her by pressing his lips against hers.

This action surprised the brunette, but she ended up responding to the kiss, her arms wrapping around his neck as he gently guided her towards the bed after placing a water bottle and crackers on the floor. Voight carefully placed Erin on the bed, removing his shirt.

'Don't apologize, Erin,' he whispered before kissing her again, deepening the kiss this time. The brunette blushed and allowed him to deepen the kiss further, feeling his hands exploring her petite body, causing her to moan softly into his lips.
