Voight followed Gabby and Brett into Med, and once they reached the hospital, he even attempted to accompany them back, but AL directed him to a chair. 'Everything will be okay, Hank,' he assured, patting his friend on the shoulder as they both sat down.

Voight gazed at his hands, stained with Erin's blood, and stated firmly, 'I don't know what happened yet, but once I know Erin is safe, that shooter better hope he has a guardian angel.' Voight clenched his hands, adding, 'Because he will face retribution once he reveals his motive.'

Al calmly patted Voight on the shoulder, understanding the bond between Voight and Erin, and expressed his only concern for their happiness. 'Erin will be okay,' AL promised.

Voight acknowledged Al's words, observing his team gathered around him, with Jay shooting him a disapproving look. Eventually, Jay approached Voight.

" I'm going to speak to the shooter," he said, endeavoring to maintain a respectful tone. Voight, deep in thought, responded, "I will accompany you," knowing that it would take some time before he could face Erin.

Voight turned to AL and Antonio, stating, "Inform me if there are any updates." He then exited the hospital with Jay, realizing he couldn't simply wait for news as he would constantly inquire about his significant other.

Upon arriving at the district and heading to the basement where Roman and Burgess were holding the suspect, Voight addressed Jay, pausing at the bottom of the stairs, saying, "We need to have a discussion,"

Questioning if Jay's urge to interrogate the suspect was related to a certain matter concerning Erin. Voight stood with his arms crossed, sternly observing the young man, prepared to let Jay speak before reacting.

Jay nodded, partly agreeing as he observed Voight's actions. "I'm eager to understand your intentions regarding Erin," he inquired. "Are you imposing something on her? It seems like you two are unusually close."

Voight, having heard Jay's concerns, fixed a glare on him. "What do you imply by that?" he questioned sternly. "I want to know if there is any inappropriate involvement between you and Erin, or if you are pressuring her," Jay confronted.

Voight stepped closer to Jay, his expression intense. "What is the problem, Halstead?" he demanded, his fists clenched. "Are you objecting to my relationship with Erin?"

Jay maintained his gaze and remarked, "My concern is that you are manipulating Erin in your twisted game." This comment provoked a punch to his face. "My interactions with Erin are not up for discussion, Halstead," Voight retorted firmly.

"Erin's well-being is of utmost importance to me, and if there were any issues, she would inform me. I want to make it clear that I have genuine feelings for her, beyond any desire to play mind games."

Voight's stern gaze locked with Jay's blue eyes, emphasizing his sincerity. Sassily shoving Jay away, he continued, "Leave this district at once, and only return when you can respect Erin's contentment with me."

Despite Jay's frustration, Voight maintained his stance, unwavering in his commitment to Erin. Upon witnessing the tense situation, Platt intervened to de-escalate the conflict.

In a final jab, Jay spat venomously, "Don't expect Erin to stick around with someone like you." Voight, left to ponder the turmoil, asked Trudy for reassurance, his concern palpable in the air as Jay departed the scene.

Platt informed, 'I am refraining from inquiring about the situation as it does not concern me.' Subsequently, she proceeded, 'However, I wish to convey that Erin has successfully undergone surgery, and both Al and Dr. Halsted are anticipating your presence.'

Voight acknowledged, 'Thank you, Trudy,' before striding towards the individual responsible for shooting Erin, who visibly reacted with fear upon Voight's approach.

'I shall return shortly, at which point you will provide an explanation for shooting my detective,' Voight declared as he departed for the hospital.

Upon his return to the hospital, Voight contemplated Jay's earlier remarks, pondering whether there was any validity to the younger man's words.

Subsequently, upon his arrival at the hospital, Voight dismissed his thoughts and proceeded to enter Med, where he found Al and Will awaiting him at the front desk. 'I offer my apologies for the delay in my arrival,' Voight expressed.

'That is of no concern,' Will reassured Voight, directing his attention to his clipboard. 'I have received an update on Erin, and I presume you would like to be informed before anyone else,' Will informed.

Voight nodded as he observed Will stating, 'It was a close call, but we managed to stop the bleeding, and she should have a full recovery in a few weeks, meaning she will not be able to work until she is fully healed,' Will noted, leading Voight to exhale with relief.

'However, there are more pressing matters,' added Will. 'What do you mean?' queried Voight, dismissing the phone call he recognized to be from Eddie, and relieved that Platt had arranged for Burgess and Roman to pick him up.

Voight's concern heightened as Will revealed, 'We conducted some tests on Erin and discovered that she is pregnant,' causing both Voight and Al to appear shocked. 'Is the baby alright?' inquired Voight, assuming Erin was safe given their history.

'It's still too early to determine, but once Erin regains consciousness, we can check for a heartbeat,' Will explained, prompting Voight to pause nervously. 'How far along is she?' he asked, surprised by the news as Erin had not exhibited any signs of pregnancy.

Will referred to the chart to confirm, "She's two months pregnant, which indicates that when Roland Raped her, he impregnated her," he explained, attempting to convey this to Voight, who appeared concerned. "It is not uncommon for some women to be unaware of their pregnancy, especially if it is their first," Will remarked after noticing the worry and remorse in Voight's expression.

"If I had known she was pregnant, I would never have permitted her to accompany us," the Sergeant muttered. Al placed his hand on Voight's shoulder and inquired of Will, "Are you certain it's Roland's?" Al sought clarification as he realized Voight and Erin had become a couple shortly after Erin was rescued.

"The timeline suggests it could be either, but to err on the side of caution, you may consider conducting a test once Erin regains consciousness, although I advise against getting your hopes up," Will cautioned. "The baby's survival is uncertain, but I assure you I will exert every effort to protect them both."

Voight listened attentively and nodded, inquiring, 'Can we see Erin?' Voight expressed his gratitude towards Will for not prying about his relationship with Erin, recognizing that he didn't owe any explanations to another Halstead. However, he observed that Will generally respected personal boundaries.

'Of course, she will be unavailable for a few hours, possibly days at most,' Will responded, leading the way to Erin's room. Voight, with a whirlwind of emotions inside him due to the news, cursed himself silently. Upon reaching the room, Will paused and gently opened the door.

'I will give you all the time you need, but please try not to disturb her. The less stress she is under, the better,' he whispered. Voight acknowledged Will's gesture with a grateful nod. 'Thank you, Will,' he expressed as he watched the younger Halstead exit the room, proceeding towards Erin's bedside.

'I am going to confront our new companion in the cage,' Al stated, reassuring Voight with a pat on the shoulder before deciding to give Voight some time alone with Erin. 'Take Antonio with you and brief him on the situation, but keep it confidential,' Voight instructed.

Voight took Erin's hand in his, holding it gently while observing the machines connected to her and the tube down her throat. 'Do whatever is necessary to extract information from that individual,' he stated firmly, leaving no room for objections.

Al acknowledged his understanding, saying, 'I will return upon completion. Feel free to call or text if you require anything,' as he patted his friend's hand before leaving to inform Antonio of the situation.

As soon as Al exited the room, Voight pulled up a chair and sat beside Erin, holding her hand. 'Rest now, my dear. I will ensure justice is served and make those bastrads pay,' he vowed, gazing at Erin's unconscious state.
