To all readers-I'm reposting this again because I'm ready. I want everyone (especially one reader in particular) to that I don't like being rushed when I'm writing. I like to write at my own pace and have each chapter up to my standards. If you dont like the way I write any of my fanfiction, then you dont have to read it. "Those big players are frozen with stage fright. Hopelessly waiting for the moment they'll be saved. And yet, there's an unseen twist in the plot." said a clown like digimon as he looked through a large telescope.
"I say we cut to the punch line and go straight for the action." said a metal serpent like digimon in a pool of water.
"Oh please, that would be boring. I want to play this drama to the hilt. Let's pull out all the stops and give them what they paid for." said a puppet digimon, looking at a machine dinosaur like digimon.
"I'm in complete agreement. A quick victory would be a letdown. The digidestined will be on Spiral Mountain soon, so we must rehearse before they get here! It will be their final performance!" said the clown digimon as a spotlight shines on him and his cohorts.
"MetalSeadramon…."
"Puppetmon…"
"And Machinedramon…
"I present to you the downfall of the digidestined!" he yelled.
Meanwhile, the digidestined screamed as they fell through the portal to the digital world. Darkness surrounded them as they fell and soon enough, landed in a forest that was a bit darker from the cloudy sky. "Well, it looks like we're back." said Tai.
"But where? In the digital world?" asked Mimi.
"That's affirmative." said Izzy.
"It's dark." said T.K.
"And scarier than the last time we were here." said Keiko, looking around at the forest.
"Yeah, it's kind of weird." said Matt.
"Huh?" said Sora, looking up at the sky. "Hey, look up there!"
The digidestined stood around and looked at the sky to see what she was seeing, gasping at the sight. "Talk about weird." said Tai as Kari and Keiko hugged each other in fear.
"Could that earth?" asked Matt.
"It's merely speculation, but it seems to be a reasonable similarity." said Izzy. "We see Earth from here like we saw the Digital World from earth."
"Huh, Gomamon? Hey, where are you?" Joe asked, walking away from the group, looking for his digimon.
"Joe, I've been snoozing over here." said Gomamon, popping up out of the duffel bag Joe had brought with him.
"Huh? Oh, we'll just have to save the world without you then." said Joe, then yelled out as he was attacked by Chuumon.
"Joe!" Gomamon cried out as the ground beneath them move, causing Joe to fall off a nearby cliff, but held onto the ledge as Chuumon jumped away.
"I really don't need this." said Joe as all the digimon jumped into action.
"Koromon digivolve to….Agumon!"
"Tsunomon digivolve to….Gabumon!"
"Motimon digivolve to…Tentomon!"
"Tokomon digivolve to…Patamon!"
"Yokomon digivolve to…Biyomon!"
"Hold on!" shouted Kari, making the digimon stop from attack Chuumon. She then runs over to the grass, with Keiko close behind her. Everyone watches them closely as the eldest Kamiya twin kneels in the grass, smiling as she looks at Chuumon.
"Come out. You're among friends. We won't hurt you." Kari said gently. "Don't be afraid." Chuumon steps out of the tall grass, looking terrified as he fell forward.
"Oh my goodness! Its Chuumon!" gasped Palmon as Mimi walked over.
"He looks terrible. What he needs is a complete makeover." said Mimi.
"Mimi? Palmon?" Chuumon asks, looking up at the girl and her digimon.
"Something bas must have happened. Chuumon and Sukamon use to be inseparable." thought Mimi, remembering when she first met them.
"I'm glad you came back to save us." said Chuumon.
"Would somebody mind helping me?" Joe called out, still hanging from the cliff.
"Whoops, I forgot all about ya." said Gomamon. "Uh-oh!"
"You forgot me here up on my elbows while you're off in la-la land." said Joe.
"Gee, I wonder what it's like to have elbows." wondered Gomamon.
"You wouldn't like it." Renamon tells him.
"You don't know that." said Gomamon, snipping at her.
"Joe!" Tai called out as he and Matt see the teen hanging off the cliffside. "Figures. Hey! Quit fooling around."
Joe looks over his shoulder and screams, seeing how far of a drop behind him and climbs back over the edge. "Just help me, will ya?" Joe asked, pulling himself up.
"Whats happening? Everything's gone wacko." said Matt when the ground started moving around.
"Are you trying to get a hold of Gennai?" Tentomon asked Izzy, who sits down with his laptop.
"Well, I'm not playing solitaire." said Izzy.
"Chuumon's a mess. I wonder what happen to him." said Palmon.
"Whatever it was, it wasn't very pretty." said Biyomon.
"Hope that he'll feel better soon." said Keiko.
"He doesn't look good." said Renamon.
"Poor thing." said Sora. Just then, Chuumon was groaning as he started to come around.
"Ah, Chuumon." said Mimi.
"Mimi. I wasn't dreaming." said Chuumon, seeing that she and Palmon were real. "It's really you after all."
"Poor thing. Why don't you tell Mimi all about it?" Mimi asked, making Chuumon look down with a sad look on his face.
"What happened to your friend, Sukamon?" Palmon asked.
"I-I…I'm afraid I lost him." cried Chuumon, tears falling from his eyes.
[Flashback]
Chuumon and Sukamon were having their normal day in the Digital world.
"After you guys left File Island, Sukamon and I went on with life as usual. You know, eating, eating and more eating when suddenly…."
The ground starts to shake, causing Chuumon and Sukamon to run for cover, when out of nowhere a crack in the ground appeared, causing Sukamon to fall into it.
"Sukamon!" yelled Chuumon but a strong wind blew from below, pushing him away.
"I never saw him again! A powerful evil force took over the land, causing all sorts of bad things to happen." said Chuumon. "Then it rebuilt the digital world so it would be easier to conquer."
[Flashback ends]
"I've been hiding ever since." said Chuumon.
"You mean the digital world is completely changed from what it was?" asked Tai.
"How's it different?" asked Izzy.
"Everything's been discombobulated and taken apart! The Digital World has been relocated way up there." said Chuumon, pointing to this mountain that looked like a mixture of grass, water, dirt and rock.
"Wow!" said Keiko.
"Talk about multi-terrain." said Renamon.
"A lot of multi-terrain." said Keiko.
"It's called Spiral Mountain. There's nothing left of the old world except some ruins." said Chuumon as they all walked closer to it and out of the forest.
"So you're saying it's all up there?" asked Matt.
"Color me cynical, but nothing surprises me about this place." said Joe.
"Where did all the other Digimon go?" Tai asked Chuumon. "Are they up there too? Where's Leomon?"
"I don't know, but I've been told they'll destroy anything that tries to get in their way." answered Chuumon, crying.
"Who will?" asked Sora.
"Who? The Dark Masters." said Chuumon.
"Well, they couldn't be too much tougher than anybody else we've wrestled with before." said Tai.
"No way! They'll beat the pants right off of you!" yelled Chuumon.
"We got rid of Myotismon, so we can get rid of them too." Tai said, proudly smiling.
"Don't worry about it. As long as the nine of us are together, we'll keep those big bullies away from you." said Mimi, reassuring Chuumon. Suddenly, someone far away started laughing in a deep voice.
"Who would laugh like that?" asked Keiko, hugging Kari.
"Not us." said Kari, nodding in agreement.
"You got that right." said Renamon, holding Salamon in her arms. "Your laughs are way better than whosever laugh that belongs too."
"I've been waiting for you, Digidestined." said a voice as water and boulders rose up from the ground in the forest.
"Oh no, it's MetalSeadramon!" Chuumon cried as an armored sea monster appeared in front of them. "This guy is a real hard nose and I mean a hard nose. Take my advice. This is one train that you would rather miss."
MetalSeadramon started chasing them as they all turned around and ran off to get away from him. He slithered over to the kids and knocks them off the ground. "Hey! That's not fair!" shouted Keiko, pushing herself up.
"Okay! If that's how you want to play it, we can play rough too." said Matt, pushing himself up from the ground.
"Let's go, Agumon!" shouted Tai, standing up as he held out his digivice.
"Gotcha!" said Agumon.
"Agumon digivolve to…Greymon!"
"Now it's our turn." said Matt.
"Gabumon digivolve to…Garurumon!"
"Biyomon digivolve to…Birdramon!"
"Tentomon digivolve to…Kabuterimon!"
"Gomamon digivolve to…Ikkakumon!"
"Palmon digivolve to…Togemon!"
"Patamon digivolve to…Angemon!"
"Renamon digivolve to…Kyubimon!"
"Salamon digivolve to…Gatomon!"
"Nova Blast!" shouted Greymon, firing his attack on MetalSeadramon, who then goes right for the giant fireball like it was nothing and pushes Greymon to the ground.
"Meteor Wing! Howling Blaster! Electro Shocker!" shouted Birdramon, Garurumon and Kabuterimon, firing their attacks only for MetalSeadramon to fly right through them.
"Harpoon Torpedo! How about some Needle Spray!" said Ikkakumon and Togemon, firing their attacks, getting the same results.
"Hand of Fate! Fox Tail Inferno! Lightning Paw!" shouted Angemon, Kyubimon and Gatomon attacking MetalSeadramon as well but once again, he flies through their attacks.
"Angemon!" shouted T.K. as his angel fell to the ground.
"Oh no!" gasped Kari and Keiko as Gatomon and Kyubimon hit the ground next to each other.
"You know your powers aren't strong enough." MetalSeadramon taunted digidestined as he circles around them as they ran to their digimon, who were sprawled out.
"How come he's beating us so badly?" Mimi asked.
"Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. Unless he's a…" Keiko trails off.
"You're right, Keiko. It's because he's a mega level digimon and nine champion level digimon can't overtake a mega." said Izzy, after checking his laptop. "He's stronger than any of us combined."
"Then we're lost without more power." said Tai.
"You ever notice we're in the wrong place at just the wrong time?" asked Joe.
"Sometimes, depending on what Tai did and is wanting to place the blame on his little sisters." said Keiko.
"He will do that." said Kari.
"Now it's time for one nasty ride!" bellowed MetalSeadramon as he swoops down towards the group, his metal nose glowing with green light. He then blasted them, making the digimon pick up the digidestined in their arms as they were sent flying away from the attack and causing them to black out.
After a while, they all woke up, feeling weak and sore. "T.K., are you alright?" asked Angemon.
"I thought I was broken, but I guess I must be okay." replied T.K.
"Keiko, are you okay? Is anything broken?" asked Kyubimon.
"I'm okay." said Keiko, checking her fingers. "I don't have any broken bones. I'm more worried about you than myself."
Angemon chuckles in amusement as Kyubimon had her head in Jordan's arms before the sound of roaring was heard, causing them to look over in the fog. "What's the matter?" T.K. asked as he was set down and Kyubimon pulls Keiko to her feet.
"Wait, I'll be back." said Angemon as he took to the sky, following the sound. He was then hit by a yellow beams of light, sending Angemon back as he cried out in pain.
"Angemon!" cried T.K. as the angel turns back into Patamon, catching him as the others wake up. "Oh, no! Poor Patamon!"
Just then, Machinedramon steps out of the fog and Izzy scans him from his laptop. "Be prepared for another Mega Digimon. He's called Machinedramon." said Izzy. "This metallic mutant can blow out a Digimon just like a birthday candle."
Everyone but T.K. and Keiko were surrounded by the lights of their crests and their crests symbols shot out of their tags.
"Greymon digivolve to…MetalGreymon!"
"Garurumon digivolve to…WereGarurumon!"
"Kabuterimon digivolve to…MegaKabuterimon!"
"Birdramon digivolve to…Garudamon!"
"Togemon digivolve to…Lillymon!"
"Ikkakumon digivolve to…Zudomon!"
"Gatomon digivolve to….Angewomon!"
"Come on, guys, show him what you're made of!" cheered Tai.
"Hope they've made of something strong enough." said Kari, hanging onto her twin as Tai gasps in confusion.
"That's what I'm hoping too." said Keiko.
The seven ultimate level digimon charge off at Machinedramon, only ending up getting blasted and sent away from the Mega level. "Angewomon!" Kari cried out as she and Keiko held out their arms to catch her angel.
"Are you okay, Angewomon?" asked Kyubimon as she nodded.
Machinedramon then blasts them once again, causing the ground beneath them to break, making them fall into a dark cave as they floated in mid-air. "We stopped." said Izzy.
"I can't complain." said Mimi as she held Chuumon in her arms. "It's sure a lot better than falling on our heads."
Out of nowhere, for some odd reason, Garudamon and WereGarurumon were fighting each other, landing hits and kicks. "Hey, can't you two take a break for a minute?" scolded Matt.
"Yeah, come on." said Sora. "We're all supposed to be on the same side."
"We can't control it." said Garudamon as she landed a hit on WereGarurumon's chest, causing him to punch her in the face.
"That's right. Our bodies are doing this all by themselves." said WereGarurumon.
"All by themselves, huh?" asked Sora, when suddenly her body starts moving on her own as well.
"I always hated any form of exercise. What's happening to me?" Joe asked as he held onto Zudomon's horn.
"Ow! Kari!" said Keiko as Kari pulls her hair.
"I'm sorry, Keiko." said Kari when suddenly, Keiko pinches her. "Ow!"
"Hey, you two!" said Tai, seeing his twin sisters fight like this. "You know better than this!"
"We're trying, Tai." said Keiko as the both of them start rolling around on the ground, fighting each other.
"We really are." said Kari.
"We've become string puppets and someone's operating us." said Izzy as he found some strings on him.
"Well, aren't we a little smarty pants?" Someone asked, laughing as the digidestined looked up to see Puppetmon sitting on a upside down triangle.
"Who are you?" asked Izzy.
"Wanna know? How about I help you look up my profile on your special computer?" Puppetmon asked, as he moves Izzy's hands.
Izzy's body moved as it was controlled by Puppetmon to open up his computer and looks him up. "He's also a mega digimon." said Izzy. "Puppetmon has a controlling personality and a rotten temper. Get him mad and he'll bop you with his hammer."
"If you have to hit something, you should bop yourself for how you look in that stupid helmet." said Mimi.
"Mimi!" said Lillymon.
"Will his nose get longer if he tells a lie?" asked Keiko and Kari.
"Or can he be used for firewood?" asked Kyubimon.
"I'm gonna have to let you go for now, but I promise to destroy you." said Puppetmon as he threw the kids away. "Puppet Pummel!"
Puppetmon used his hammer to blast the digimon with energy bullets, causing them to dedigivolve back into their Rookie, Champion and in training forms. They all wound up at the coliseum where they had found Joe's crest and Agumon had digivolved into SkullGreymon.
The digidestined groaned in pain from the impact of the landing when they heard a toy horn. "Well, hello boys and girls and welcome." said a clown standing on a red ball as he rolled out from behind a pillar. "Today, I'm going to tell you an amazing story." He then holds up hand drawn pictures that he drew on cards.
"Once upon a time, there were nine digidestined. They went with their digimon companions to try to save the world. The children and their digimon discovered that in order for them to do it, they had to climb up Spiral Mountain. But to their dismay, the Dark Masters defeated them. So sad." the clown said to the kids, showing them the story, revealing the last card of them falling off of Spiral Mountain.
"Hey, Clownie! No one's laughing at your story!" yelled T.K.
"It was a horrible story!" shouted Keiko.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry." he said. "Did I happen to mention that the story is true? I wanted to give you a preview of the plot." He starts laughing as he transformed into Piedmon.
"Fools." said Piedmon, laughing as he jumps up onto a pillar.
"It's Piedmon!" Chuumon said to the digidestined. "He's a Mega Phantom Digimon of the worst kind. You never know what he's going to look like next."
"Well, I think your plot needs a few rewrites!" said Tai. "Agumon!" He then holds out his crest as a pillar of orange aura shot out from him.
"Gabumon, you can do it!" said Matt, holding out his crest and a blue pillar of blue aura shot out from his body.
"Agumon warp-digivolve to….WarGreymon!"
"Gabumon warp-digivolve to….MetalGarurumon!"
"Yeah, let him know we mean business, WarGreymon!" Tai called out to his digimon.
"MetalGarurumon, teach that joker a lesson he'll never forget!" shouted Matt.
"Nova Force!" shouted WarGreymon, firing his attack but Piedmon dodged it.
"Ice Wolf Claw!" shouted MetalGarurumon, firing his icy attack on Piedmon, causing him to cancel it out.
"Trump Sword!" shouted Piedmon, throwing six swords at the two Mega Digimon, causing then to turn back into their rookie forms.
"This is bad news." said Joe.
"Even two Mega level Digimon couldn't take him down." said Sora. "That's really bad news."
"Not to mention, he's a fashion disaster." said Mimi.
"Your two Mega Digimon are newly digivolved. How can you expect them to compete against an experience and might I add most superior Digimon?" asked Piedmon, boosting his ego.
"Tai, sorry." Agumon said weakly, laying in Tai's arms.
"Allow me to present my fellow actors in this charming and captivating chapter comedy and errors. MetalSeadramon." said Piedmon as said Sea Digimon bursts out of the lake behind him. "Machinedramon."
A robot dinosaur digimon bursts out into the clearing from the wall. "Puppetmon." Piedmon continued, as Puppetmon appears hanging upside down.
"You thought you were through with me, but I wanted to have some more fun." laughed Puppetmon as he stood up.
"And finally myself, Piedmon. We'd like to begin by asking the audience for volunteers. Who would like to be destroyed first?" Piedmon asked, looking amongst the Digidestined. "Oh, come now. Don't tell me you have stage fright?"
"Only when I have to sing a solo." Keiko said to Kari.
"I didn't even wanna go to came in the first place!" Mimi cried. "I wanted to go to the mall! Why can't somebody else save this silly world besides me?"
"Mimi!" said Sora, trying to calm her down.
"I wanna be a normal kid and not have any responsibilities. I mean, come on, is that so much to ask? It's not fair!" Mimi continued to say.
"Huh? Your insistent whining is getting on my nerves." Piedmon announced, aggravated with Mimi. "You'll be the first one to go."
Piedmon then pulls out a knife and throws it at her, but Chuumon jumps up and was hit, causing everyone's eyes to widen in horror. "Oh, Chuumon!" said Mimi, picking up the little digimon in her hands. "Speak to me, you poor thing."
"Mimi….it's time for me….to be deleted. Don't…." stuttered Chuumon, looking up at her, then passes out.
"Chuumon!" Mimi cried out in tears as Chuumon turned into data and faded away.
"Chuumon was a fool." said Piedmon as the data went through the sky. "So, now that he's out of the way…who would like to be next?"
"Piedmon, you're gonna be washed up when we're through with you!" shouted Tai.
"Be my guest." said Piedmon as the Dark Masters chuckled at Tai.
"Pixie Bomb!" said a familiar voice as a small bomb was thrown in front of the Dark Masters, causing a bright light to explode and block their view. The kids and their digimon were then gathered up in an invisible bubble and saw their old friend who had once saved them from danger.
"Hey, Piximon. Perfect timing." said T.K. and Keiko.
"I missed ya." said Piximon.
"Prodigious." said Izzy. "You cleverly used a barrier to avoid detection."
"I sure did." replied Piximon.
"But you said it was possible to save the planet if the nine of us were all together." Tai said to Piximon. "How come it's not happening, huh? What's up, Piximon?"
"The truth is being together is not enough." Piximon explained. "There's still something else that you need to do beat them."
"How're we going to find out if you won't help?" asked Sora.
"Yeah, enough riddles." said Joe.
"This is something you will discover on your own." said Piximon, when suddenly something hits the orb. They all cried out in fear from the attack, realizing that the Dark Masters had found them.
"Ah-ha! Here you are!" said MetalSeadramon, chasing after them with Puppetmon and Piedmon following close behind him with Machinedramon bringing up the rear.
"I'll try to stop them." Piximon said to the Digidestined. "Meanwhile, make a run for it and climb for the top of Spiral Mountain, but you better move it."
"You can't stop them. They're all Mega Digimon." Matt protested Piximon.
"I know I can't win, but I should be able to distract them long enough for you to get away." Piximon tells him.
"I'll stay with you." suggested Tai.
"No way." said Piximon. "Besides, we need you on Spiral Mountain. We're counting on you to beat them."
"River of Power!" bellowed MetalSeadramon, firing a green energy blast at the orb. Piximon flies up and out of the orb, ready to defend the Digidestined.
"Please go now. You have an important task ahead of you." said Piximon. "Once you succeed, no one will ever be able to stop you again. I know you will, make me proud."
He then gives the orb a whack with his staff and sends them off. "Wow, he's a lot stronger than he looks." said Gabumon.
"He'll have to be." said Matt, ominously. They all started off at the coliseum as they left their friend to fight off the Dark Masters on his own.
"Do you think it's possible he can do it?" asked Kari, hugging Keiko.
"I don't know, Kari. I hope so." said Gabumon. Piximon then turns to all four Dark Masters, growling at them.
"How can such a little powerless Digimon even think about defeating us, huh?" asked Piedmon.
"Just call me a crazy little Digimon." said Piximon.
