Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 58: The Mission Begins And Final Farewells II
"Yep, alright from there is we work things out, we had been making changing, making friends, aside from the most powerful races in the galaxy. We're connecting to everyone and this is a good start, as we begin again, make friends." Landry said to that and Haden nodded gently. "Well if we rewrite that scene, you could have allowed him to touch bases with the duo and me, so we can talk this over, so we understand what the heck is going on."
"As he explained to me everything, before telling Sharon, he confided in me first, telling me everything. But he never expected that record to be picked up, but we can check on things in tactical. And you do the rest, only my curiosity got us trapped down there, and killed you." Jackson said to him then. "Or with the Stargate version of it, the crewman that was stonewalling us, just alerted Daniel to the fact that she's flying in."
"And he immediately went on alert, as why is she coming exactly, and we immediately go on the defensive, as she gets the same response. As we hear, 'I would like to see Daniel Jackson', 'you are to stay in your room till Commander Barnes comes to get you', 'No I want to see Jackson', 'Jackson is busy, stay in your quarters.'." She said to this then gently and they all nodded in agreement to that opinion then, as he answered that.
"Agreed we do that right now, the 8 of us, the woman playing the team cook and Daniel are going over logistics. We're making sure we have enough food. And stock piling our groceries, medical. And clean clothes, making sure our gear was prepped and ready, because we're gone a month. And Sarah knew though a month, he's going to be just downstairs, so Carter's being stonewalled and delayed at every turn here."
"As we check on it." Schreiber said to him then gently and he nodded gently. "Making it out alive, but it's clear to us, he wanted a pain free and uninjured existence, because these two are danger magnets and he kept emphasizing this. So just her arriving said, this was about to become Lockdown in everyway you can say it. She caused us to miss the bus, so Sigourney's unit could have their shift, and we're trapped down there."
"Till the blizzard stops and the pressure lock goes back to green again." Jackson said sternly to this and the quartet nodded then. "Alright to name it off now, is with this a 4 parter, is Time's Arrow I: The Arrival, II: The Ship, III: The Power, IV: The Final Analysis." Hoffman said and Cooper and Wright nodded. "And V: The Decompression Chamber." Coyote said and Cooper nodded to the episode title then, as that was a big book.
"Yeah 5 part episode, we're squeezing a 380pg book into a 5 episode story line here. And the ending has you changing Earth for the better now, as he recovers from his injuries." Wright said and he nodded. "And enough the 3 of us care enough about him, we're doing anything we can to help him heal. As we erase this situation, with these guys from his memories and replace it with the happiness he wanted to feel."
"He's everything he wanted to be, he never felt more free, his side maybe classified, but so what he had the power to change earth and the galaxy for the better. And without them ever remembering him, as this timeline replaces the old." she said to that gently to that remark then. "Agreed, the team in searching that ship, we see who that ship originally belonged to, but if the uniforms matched the SGC piloting program."
"Whoever was sitting there piloting that ship. Just took a wrench to the back of the head, after it landed a good fifteen minutes away from us. As they got more and more paranoid till they killed each other off, in 60 years here. And the 4 of you immediately figured it out, the ship had been on autopilot wondering the galaxy now. Till it crashed in the Antarctic ocean now, till the reaction is, alright guys, what happened here."
"Exactly, if you crashed that next door to the SGA exactly, because the landing caused a tidal wave and shaking up the Enterprise right now." Wesley said and Hoffman chuckled and nodded then gently then. "Looks like whoever crashed, must have taken it to the back of the head, and we see their neck covered. In fresh blood, and whoever it was, knew this was enough to get our attention and with that, that 2 years is critical."
"Time stands still for 2 years now, as everyone in the galaxy gets a nice, quiet respite from the green soldiers. Technology returned to its rightful owners now, everything is quiet, there is no interference in their lives. As the blue soldiers come, righting every wrong, every ruffled feather that green stirred up. As the new season shows everything from this now to book 3, called, this one is called Trading Grounds.
The Next is The Glory Of Tantulus, while the third is going by the name Fair Game, in which, to get what we need, by trade, as we're at war with our original primary's brother. Doing his obstacle course, the Barque Of Heaven, as Jacob, over head, traces us. And to each planet, beaming down our supplies, till we reach the last planet, and that's it now." Daniel said to him and Cooper shook his head smiling at that remark then,
In knowing his publicity was going to get a giant leap up the charts at that. "We better split the 7 of us down the middle, the girls and Dave have control of the ship, till we get back, while the 7 of us are checking this thing out. And knowing why the hell she's there, Peter and Sam keeping an eye on her, not letting her out of their sight now. While the three of us are talking this over, you see what Peter sees, and though.
"Now, a different color, and we're putting a camera on this thing." Stone said and Hoffman and Coyote nodded in agreement then as they thought over the story board for that episode then. "So Fair Game, the last is The Wrath of Sokar, so what's book 4 called?" Wright asked and he explained. "The Power Of The Ancients, being as I was gifted with the powers, I now have to train to use them wisely now, till after a year."
"In order to protect the team and the baby, is self defense not attack, if Apophis arrives there at the same time. But if their most dangerous power is force lightning, whatever you do, don't tick me off." he said and Jack swallowed hard at that gently then. "Make that 6 books, book 6 is The Wrath Of Sokar, 5 is The Power Of The Ancients, and book 4 we're calling it Time's Arrow, which is when the Q drops the ship."
"And into the ocean, and Sphere, stargate style activates, so change time, change it again. And this time there is no changing it back, it's stuck like this forever, as the 4 of us, shove everything we have. And into it, erase her memory of what went down, as she flipped out after 2 weeks, they got released. Just before The Power Of The Ancients now, and this was a fight of history, like them ending up in the Victorian Era."
"San Francisco, only now, instead of 1893, it's 2000, so exactly 110 years since Time's Arrow, as our descendants keep jumping through time. To erase any traces, of themselves, before they effectively alter our history and we do it for them. By erasing you from the SGC, and putting you in the ULF, and the ULF is now the SGA." Stone said to him gently. "Agreed right now, jump back to 1976." Alexander said smiling to this then.
"Book 4 is after her losing her mind completely, they been on stand down for months, she tries a rotation. of being a deepsea diver, and can't understand how you could possibly. In truth, love this job more, compared to being a gate traveler, and tries to change time back. I go in after her, knowing what she was about to do, you and Dustin come in after us, as you, Liev, Peter and Sharon connect the dots, and a fight."
"For the future starts, see it to be time, is change time, erasing you from the equation, and Gary is her team archeologist, but want it to stay you, and a fight ensues, till we have her where we want her. And remove the gas from the medical lab, forced into a two choice option now, either she uses that syringe. Or we're putting her under by asphyxiation now." Jackson said and the trio nodded sternly as they watched her go pale.
"If that's not desperate measures after she flipped out, and nothing ever is, she's manifesting every animal creature now. From the book, tried to kill him twice, and we're, as the characters, of the book, becoming our book characters, she's you and me rolled into one. And instead of us being Addams and Halperin, we're now Walker and Parker, Dustin is Brandon. Our team psychiatrist and together, to protect him."
"As our youngest, we're taking drastic action, till we force her and into a no win now, as the three of us manifest a world, where he grew up a navy crewman." Stone said to him then. "Yeah we can find some other poor soul to be that person, and this still ends with the arrest and conversion by Shyla." Schreiber said and Coyote nodded. "That or Daniel's clone, Daniel's clone turned twin brother, but unknown to these losers."
"Daniel never had a twin brother, as he becomes that stooge now, the real Daniel is with us, the clone decided to take the job. As a member of the recon team and everything still results in this." Latifah said and Stone nodded. "Agreed right now, we're manifesting a world, where she, O'neill and these other lunatics. Never heard of him after he cracked the code, where Daniel's clone/twin is the team archeologist now."
"As Dr. David Melburn Jackson II is now the archeologist." She said and Jack went white. "That's the name of Mel's father, Father, Dr. David Melburn Jackson, so Mel named his twin after his father." Hoffman said sternly, reading Daniel's record to get everything he needed then and she swallowed hard then. "Commander, Dr., Daniel Nicholas Jackson and Dr. David Jackson, Daniel turned the mission to Abydos over to Dave, as Daniel."
"While they were missing, decided to find out if there was a second, we dug up the second and placed the outpost there. And right there, as 1/4 of every branch, all scientists, plus Catherine's entire science team came along too. The outpost, was renamed the SGA, as we had it looking like the enterprise." She said to that then sternly and he nodded in agreement to her thinking, knowing then, this made clear now then.
That this was war between the three sectors, and they two networks could go to hell, they were not getting Daniel back, whatsoever so now. "So, as a result, manifesting a world now, where you never knew Daniel. But that his twin was your archeologist, in knowing after you stabbed him in the back. During the first weeks after the accident, and Johnathan Brandis can play Kenny too, in where he grew up a Naval crewman."
"A happy, beyond controlled young archeologist and deepsea diver, he's married to Sarah, he's a father with 3 to 4 children, and only we of the Army, Air Force and Naval medical corps. Knew of him, so no him, and there is no Sha're being taken, or a knife to the back for Danny, why, because he never went on that mission. No adult trauma of being sexually assaulted by his own team leader, why same thing, he's not here."
And when Hathor makes her entrance, David comes to us first, because the gates are set to DHD. And so, after finishing on Gaea, Daniel suggests going to Pyrus, so all Hathor crimes end in Pyrus, and with it now, instead of this. The Navy ships and outpost, we manifest this, the Enterprise D, and the drive section. As the habitat now, that's his entire life, a world where he's living a more happy and carefree life."
"Then ever thought possible, a world where the damaging traumas now, cease to exist, a perfect world, where the boundaries of mind and wonder, now cease to exist. See it to be for the idealism we want it to be, erase the damage years of war caused." She said and they nodded then firmly. "That I had enough of this crap right now, that they want a war over him they're going to get one, if we have to yank ourselves, us."
"And this planet out of this sick, violent and twisted reality, and invent a new one, well then so be it, we're going to do that. This kid is my apprentice and my kid brother, I will fight to protect him, even if that means envisioning a new reality. Where he never was part of the SGC, so be it." Jackson said sternly and she nodded in agreement then. "With you throwing yourself into the character soon enough, it's a wonder.
"That you can separate the character from your personality later." she said and he nodded. "As the first 4 chapters are angst filled as possible, Chapter 5 of the book, said the size of the teenage novels. So the first book is split into 5 part, and the last is the after getting out of the chamber now. We're in a team conference now, meeting for the first time face to face." he said and she and Hoffman nodded in agreement then.
"That sounds about right, okay you two, Brad, we do that, we know why she came to do a rotation, Daniel had been with us for 18 months. He loved the thrill of being a deepsea water diver, he became very, very close friends with the girls. Brothers to Liev, Jim, Huey and Sam, to me and Peter, we're like a father to him. And he never been happier, or more alive, and she can't, for the life of us, understand here."
"How he could enjoy this more then being a gate traveler, after Peter and I decided to put up a monitor on that sphere, after seeing Sam jump in, and we're on due for our shift change, the bus is arriving. And Daniel and I run to investigate in why he did that, and then see her and now it makes sense, he anticipated this. And jumped in after her, I jump in after he does it, before Sharon jumps in after I do it now."
"Knowing here now, what our books selves failed in this, we try a different approach and Liev comes in after us. And drags them back, first we get the jellies, and a couple days later comes the squid attack, then comes my scene, a fight ensues, and enough is enough. As we forget the explosives, and Sharon remembering that, manifests something else to replace them. And we decide enough is enough, as we break it.
"Break down the code, and force her into two choices, like she, Sharon, had me, as the confrontation ends after it a burst of white light, Daniel in the infirmary, recovering here. From torn ankle ligaments, a third degree concussion, and repeated exposure to that temperature in water. While Sam is drugged and in the chamber, and we finish it, the three of us manifest a world where she and Jack O'neill. Makepeace. Mckenzie."
"And the other crazed NID officers, never even heard of Daniel in the baseline stargate program. As he's working there forever, doing Race planets and Shyla's kindom and it's done." he said and Cooper nodded gently to the news. "Manifesting the perfect world, where there are no corrupt officials, no starvation, no wars. Manifest the best in all of us, peace and happiness, justice in the world, as I can't bring his parents back."
"But I can manifest his childhood, from 13 to now, as perfectly safe, happy. And strong willed, a world where he had me as his father, being the one to raise him. As he makes contact with Don, Tommy and Beau, to keep in touch, as is doing exactly as he should. That should is following the mandate to the letter now." he said and they nodded. "Yeah that's the muggle world, imagine the Magical." Issacs said and he nodded then.
"Yeah Earth in 1999, had become a utopia." he said and he nodded then. "Of Nirvana, but nice try, even these guys can't see how could we possibly want that, idealism. To how things are, and we had to erase everything that happened down there from her mind." Sutherland said and Sam swallowed hard, realizing the idealism was dreaming up a perfect world. Where there was no crime, no wars, no violence, just peace and prosperity, and that happened now finally.
The SGC would become obsolete. "If that's not the perfect effect and nothing ever is, you got to him first after he left Detroit. As he sees me from time to time, staying in touch now, as Russel, Jennifer and I are family friends. But he was raised by you, he grew up as a psychiatric wolf cub, knew all about psychiatric medicine. As this still ends with a trip to Shyla's." Plummer said smiling at that and he nodded in agreement gently.
"If that's not beyond good and nothing ever is, fix your movie, turn it to such a wide scale, it erases your original characters mistakes, and you use the lessons. You gained from this, and you manifest the absolute perfect world and galaxy now finally. We erase WWII, Vietnam, and said number of other wars from the equation. We created a colony ring, off world bases, and the SGA is now a 1,250 mile wide version now."
"And of the Enterprise D." Wright said with a chuckle then. "Yeah and there's where I come in, if I'm also Ancient descent, we trained together, you're too much like me as it is, we have a newly created code we followed." Jackson said and Hoffman chuckled and nodded in agreement. "Well considering your persona on the saga, that goes without saying here Sam, you and he sparred together so much, he became a skilled warrior."
"In less time then anyone thought." Stone said and he nodded with big brother affection. "You recall the story That Was Then, This is Now, after Bryan turn him in for illegal drug dealing, and he turned into a wild animal, as a full fledged criminal. Just what set him on that path, and why exactly?" he asked and she swallowed hard at that. "Forks in the road, are a very dangerous thing, and you created such a fork in the road."
"I'm free here, of your persecution, as I become everything I was sworn to be, after you effectively stabbed me in the heart now. You recall the episode Cape Feare, just what would happen if he had killed him, and the girls saw everything?" Daniel asked and Jack started shaking violently in fear. "Split personality, as a result, if they ever turn that into a treehouse of horror segment now, it becomes Tales from the crypt."
"As the door is covering the butchering, but he triggered a split personality, by murdering their big brother, and only fair, the sisters avenge him." he said sternly and he swallowed hard then. "I was already half dead already after Hathor was here, you never thought I could be that devious now, as after all McClintock is one of you. And slaughtered 1/2 the town to create that weapon, followed here by Hathor."
"Then Shyla, Machello and last night. I was half dead already after Hathor's escape, turning me into what I became here now. Before I get the even worse truth, of all the people that could betray me now, it had to be my childhood best friend now. And that did it finally now, as learning your beyond cruel betrayal now, the me you know is dead, and in his place, is this me." he said and she swallowed hard then in fear at that.
"And to quote Liam, I know what betrayal is, I seen exactly what it looks like." he said and she jerked at that and Liam nodded. "Yes and that's getting changed to Xanatos being the traitor and Ewan, as Obi-wan was on a training exercise." Liam said and Ewan smiled at that, as Daniel leaned against Henderson's side and she started shaking. "Nice quote kiddo, that's part of Ewan's personal past, we just got up to chapter 3." Jackson said and nodded.
"Well he had every right to be upset, but you need to start doubling teams, his 13 year old son/padawan just abandoned him." Daniel said and he nodded gently. "And frankly you been listening to me, as my character, way too much lately here, me and Yoda." he said and Hammond smiled at that remark. "Had a good teacher, Master." he said and he smiled in affection, knowing that would do it, as his tv show self spent time training him then
And as big brother. "And frankly you're right: the NID soldiers are vampires sucking the life, out of everything, you're a werewolf, trying to save people." he said and Daniel nodded. "But this is about the bureaucracy now finally, everything you try to do now, has you turning into a renegade now. One I have to effectively shut down now, my mind is my duty, not hearing what you have to say, I'm Jean Luc in our generation."
"Now." he said and they all went white in fear then, at the remark. "And to quote the entire conversation right now here, once Apophis comes back, I found baby and he's with Morgan after that, before the issue of working with the enemy. To get technology, that to which I already solved, after being with your father, Captain." he said and Picard took over on that remark then, knowing he was going to be saying this for all of them now later.
If the Tok'ra gave the trio some advanced technology, that was wrecking havoc on their body and organs. "Sir I have to tell you, I was relieved when I realized that it was you the joint chiefs sent after me. Someone who knows what it's really like out here." he said and Picard said it to that as he focused as though this was Jack at that remark. "I know of nothing out here, that could possibly justify what you have done." he said to him then.
And Daniel said it gently to that, as Jack went pale, realizing to them he was a renegade, and one they had to stop now finally. "Then listen to this, that withdrawal after the attack on Netu, was a fake: the reports were given out that Apophis was amassing an army. And after his tries at destroying us failed twice in 2 years were unsuccessful. He's creating a better more enhanced ship, after we destroyed the last one a few months ago."
"And Daniel killed his latest Jaffa team looking for the boy." he said and Picard crossed his arms at that. "How do you know this?" he asked and Daniel shrugged then. "Information comes our way." he said and Picard pressed further at that remark. "From who, where is your documentation?" he asked at that firmly at that. "I know what he's doing, we can smell it, but there is no good reason for a sudden withdrawal like this."
"Or for a science station out by that location, but that is a hell of strategic site for a military processing site. A jumping off port directly into three earth sectors in range of several planets with a lock to earth. My sources say he's been running supply ships back and forth and no one is going to tell us it was for scientific research on the reactivation of his empire." he said and Picard said it gently as he watched him carefully.
As he carefully calculated his response at that remark. "But whatever your circumstances, why didn't you notify the SGC or tell the joint chiefs?" he asked and Jack scoffed as he said it firmly then. "Want to explain this, in how you know this, because all we see is your minds snapped." Issacs said sternly and Picard and Haden nodded in agreement then. "And wait another 15 months now, while the beuracrats are sitting around reading reports."
"And trying to figure out what to do, they don't know what's going on out there, but you should Sir, you know what it's like to be under fire." he said and Picard said it gently as he watched him carefully at that remark then. "You weren't under fire." he said to him and Daniel injected an irritated tone into his voice at that. "Lives were at stake." he said and he countered that as he answered that firmly. "Whose lives?" he said to him then gently,
And the frustration boiled over as he finished it with the snapped off remark. "We had to act now!" he said and Picard said it firmly to that. "Why?" he asked and Daniel sighed in pretend annoyance as he said it in disgust at that remark. "It smells musty in here, like a beauracrats office." he heard and hearing the sneer in the tone, Picard said it with a warning tone to that remark. "Now you done, you bonehead." Frank said sternly and Issacs nodded.
"You have killed over 500,000,000,000 people and you have taken us to the brink of war." he said and Daniel countered that firmly, watching this from there in the hospital room. As he went with the next remark as he pretended to inject a reasoning tone and into his voice. And Jack froze, now realizing this was how he sounded to the brass, after 2 years of this. And yet they all thought he was a loose cannon, and one they had to get back into safe containment then.
And before he destroyed something then as he answered him then gently at that remark and as he said it to him at that remark, as Jack started shaking in fear then. And now seeing himself from their point of view as Daniel was the rational one forming a perfect world, one that, to the entire planet, they, the military were trying to tear down and the majority had to end now here. And before it killed the entire planet, because they never knew when to stop, in the eyes."
And of the medical/psychiatrical, command departments, after he cut his arm during Hathor, there was no excuse. "We prevented war, or at the very least delayed it a good long time, the peace treaty was just a ruse. To give them breathing room and time to regroup." he said and Addison crossed his arms at that remark and as Picard answered that sternly then, knowing this reaction was plenty, once Daniel created the treaty at the time.
"And so all alone and against the advice of our allies and our orders, the president's orders, you decided to dispose of the treaty." he said and Daniel answered that remark, as Jack heard the annoyed disgust in his own tone then, and swallowed hard at that response then. "We took the initiative, we did what had to be done." he said and Picard said it with a stern growl as he looked at Jack at that, as the entirety of the NID all paled at that remark.
'Young man, I know what this is really about, you want revenge for what he did to Skaara and slaughtered our allies.' they heard sternly as he answered him, as Jack looked in a panic, around the 18 generals and the cast playing them then in fear to this. "What had to be done hmm, for whom, why would a man, with a long and brilliant service. Suddenly abandon the fundamental principles, said that he's believed in and even fought for."
"All of his life?" he asked and they all went pale, realizing their decision had made them renegades and he moved forward as he looked into his eyes, with a calculating and stern look. "Well I believe it's because of what they did to your team and your surrogate son." he said Jack shook his head violently at his remark, trying to deny it then. "Not true, that's not true!" Daniel said and Picard went for the throat at that as he said it to him then sternly.
'Young man there is no getting passed this in our eyes.' he thought to himself sternly to that. "To avenge their deaths." he said and Jack looked up at him in angered disgust, as he answered that. "You're a fool Picard, history will look at you and say this man is a fool." Daniel said and Hammond crossed his arms as Picard said it for all of them at that as he looked at him. "I'll accept the judgement of history." Picard said and Daniel said it then firmly.
As he injected a threatening tone then and of reasonability into his voice at that as he said it to him. "When it becomes clear to what Apophis is doing, what the system lords have been doing. We will be vindicated." he said and Picard said it with a firm tone of finality into his voice. "What the system lords, let alone Apophis, have or have not done yet is irrelevant right now." he said and that did it as the anger at the remark shot through him.
And as he blurted it out at that remark as he looked at him in anger and disgust at that remark then. "Irrelevant?!" he snapped and turned around, before taking a deep breath and turned back to him. "Then come with me, we go check track down one of their supply ships or strongholds and we'll see how irrelevant it is." he said angrily to him at that and Picard shook his head and as he made the decision then as he said it to him, injecting a sternly then.
"We're not going after any more supply ships or strongholds, your men, if they're on a mission and right now, they are to report direct to the SGC right now, the program is on hiatus as of this moment, all gate operations. And that is out going gate operations are terminated until the reset, starting now, Colonel. You and your men are ordered to report directly to the Alpha Site, all NID personnel are to report to the Alpha Site."
"All the SGC and the NID officers are returning to Federation space together, those are Starfleet orders." he said as he moved into place and in front of Jack as he said it, while injecting as a stern a tone as possible to him as he said it to him. "I will permit you the dignity of retaining your ranks and command until then. The only other option is placing you in the brig, and discharging you dishonorably." he said with a beyond stern.
In tones remark and Jack sighed at that as he looked down as Picard looked between the trio at that remark with a stern look then, as they ended it.
