Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 60: The Mission Begins And Permanent Farewells IV
"I understand brother, best of friends, we are brothers, we're a duo, and this team is forever torn in two, I keep coming back, as you need me." he said to him gently at that. "Yeah this was why I decided to bring them to earth, so they're safely out of reach here." Daniel said and she nodded as she left a hand on Drey'auc's shoulder and she smiled. "And there it is, you maybe busy building our government as a jaffa, with Peter out of action.l
"But when Michael needs you and your help, you immediately come to give aid, but that's the way we are and even Neil sees Michael as an uncle now, a family friend." Salli Richardson said and he nodded. "When I watched the kid grow up, I love your son, like my own." Daniel said and they smiled and nodded as the preteen smiled gently at that remark. "Love you too Uncle Daniel." Ry'ac said, quoting it with his double, smiling gently.
And Judge chuckled then. "Yep partners and brothers." Teal'C said smiling gently then. "The only ones understanding your ways are us, my family, the Jackson clan, and we go halfway here Teal'C, you fully embraced being earthling, in the good aspects to it. I fully embraced your culture, to understand your meanings, I'm an honorary Jaffa soldier now, but I took your friend place, whoever it was." he said and Teal'C nodded.
"Indeed now we are a duo, brothers, and the best of friends." he said and the trio playing the Martells smiled, as Bra'tac smiled then. "And there it is, the Martells and Jacksons are a duo, and the best of friends here now. So that while we, the Martells fully embraced being Earthling, while the Jacksons fully embraced our culture. And this is a Kel Mar Tokeem, and O'neill, Carter, and Makepeace brought it on themselves finally."
"But only Michael actually cares enough to ensure your and Neil's safety, with Neil in training, but now I move us to Antarctica, and you're safe." he said and she nodded gently then as they wrote out the letter then to get it right. "So me on the balcony, before going back into the apartment, heading for the fridge. And stashed in the back of it, are 5 of 20 bottles of champagne, tied to one those bottles has the message on it.
'Dear my love, we figured if they, the red soldiers, try anything else, this should help, this, like the serum and the elixir, is created with the sarcophagus, healing any fatal injuries, but if you have a media game like this. Then there's your explanation, it affects the genomes, turning you into a stronger version of Jaffa. "So you can heal almost immediately, it also erases any marks now, that are making it look. Like you tried to hurt your self, and replaces it with the evidence, that shows someone assaulted you, just come back to me soon, it's time. "As the realization starts to form, they only know one woman in my life called Shyla, so Shyla, as in the Princess. Now turned Queen, Shyla, before the surname punches through, Beaumont now. That's a French name, they're a French planet, and now the realization slams on the table, he kept his ancestral roots longer then the others." he said and they nodded. "Yeah that's going to be a shock." Bishop said smiling and he nodded.
"Well you gave me enough we can play back the entire episode, from your point of view, on this first episode. While the second portion of the pilot episode, shows the attack in your apartment, you're simply watching tv. Fall asleep on the couch, get attacked, call me, call the quartet and file the report. But there it is, the SGC was militaristic views, the SGA civilian views, of how corrupt the state department."
"Said is really getting, but did Tom's remark not penetrate, 'I will remove you from this program forever if you do this.'. What if we get that same remark from Ronny huh, and that just says it all. Only Michael can't be removed at all now. He's civilian ran with military help and he's code black here, Ronny is level yellowish orange." Davis said to that and he went white in fear. "Yeah dead man walking." Clinton said to that sternly.
"But I wonder how well this is going to go over, once everyone hears the truth, as not as they thought, but rather, we sent you on that mission. Even with everything these boneheads see, aging backwards and forwards, being turned into caveman. Alternate realities, walking through walls, and 10 dozen other things, they believe actual. To science fiction, when traveling around the galaxy is science fiction, for another."
"Now, 70 years." he said and they all went white in fear then. "Agreed, we're true scientists and see this science to the 10th power, and yes they still believe in non fiction to fiction, so to repeat here. Time for a reality check alright, you crossed the line, and point of no return, because this is like my tv show. And how can you be a scientist here, young lady, and not worship at the alter of Roddenberry, answer."
"The bastard's turned you so cynical here, you turned into a total hardass in two years." Stewart said and she swallowed hard then at the criticism then. "So that's her problem, their problem, she prefers facts to fiction, only the fiction is closer to the truth. And more than anyone here expected, as space travel was considered science fiction. And till you realize said shows and movies are closer to the truth then anyone realized?" Redford asked and he nodded.
"I guess your science makes better sense then mine does, when I'm playing my character's grandson, for the last 12 years. Before being chosen to play him directly, as I am now, 59 in 1999, I was born in 1940, so exactly 59 years. I'm no older than your father, George and Hank, you would think after years of science explanations. You would consider the possibility, but unless you see it, not true, that's no way.
"To treat a friend here right now, but I agree with him right now, on every account, you broke his heart. That how can I not be angry at the cold blooded little harlot you become." he said sternly and she started shaking in fear then, as she looked between them shaking, now realizing what she done then finally. There was no taking it back, and she was condemned here to being treated like tramp, just because she refused to settle down here.
And wasn't ready to get married, and she tore his heart out, to protect herself, from this, seeing the disgust in Daniel's eyes, she swallowed hard then. "There's no excuse for this, none young lady, this is cruel, cold blooded and callous now. That because you're trying to protect yourself, when we all think you need to settle down and get married. You rip his heart out, you knew where she was and refuse to us, but branches don't mix."
"In where matters of the heart are concerned, you're Infantry, he's Fleet." Addison said sternly and she paled. "These rules exist for a reason, you think you're above the law, he never did a god damn thing to you. But resist her, but different methods maybe, but so what he resisted her. And you attack him, because you're all drug addicts, no it's not happening, as the truth comes out, but just how is everyone going to take it, now."
"When the truth comes out in this episode, it's canon?" Hammond asked and they started shaking in fear, realizing it finally, realizing he never did a thing to them. Not ever here, and yet they all attacked him in cold blood, claiming he was a traitor. And yet they all refused to admit here, that they were weak ones then. "Bunch of traitors, claim the civilians are committing espionage, when the gate belonged to the civilian leader of this program."
"But like their rules, I'm emphasizing the last one here, but again, you may claim he can't return. To working under her again, but you're level yellowish orange, he's dark brown, bordering black. And 12), no drinking on duty, save that for leisure time right now, when you're not likely to get arrested for it. As such now, here's why Kinsey calls the SGC incompetent, you're not following the rules, and these rules exist now."
"For a reason, Colonels, you think you're above them?" Hammond asked and they started shaking in fear. "But he's right, he says don't drink it, you think he's being too cautious and swallow it, he says go ahead and you know it's tanked here. What more can he do, before you listen to him for god sakes here, but does battle fatigue mean anything. To you, you just wrecked that little girl's life, and for what, to prove you're sane."
"When you been suffering from 'duty to your friends' for 8 years, damn it!" Hammond snapped sternly and they all went white, realizing by their quest to believe the actual. To science fiction, as they effectively destroyed her life and happiness, and her anger and resentment. And as she grew up a normal teenager, would be focused on them, Jack swallowed hard. Now knowing, and realizing his quest to prove he was sane, had effectively wrecked his life now.
"She's going to find out the truth, I guarantee it, people, as she reads Need from his point of view now. And sees the truth, hears the cold blooded little monsters you truly are, and why you're in the hospital. And they left, there is no excuse, none, she would accept for this, from you." he said and Jack went white at the remark then shaking at, realizing it as he turned the girl he loved like a daughter, into an outcast on earth here now.
And for her association with them. "Did you ever stop to think about how your actions are reflected, into the eyes of those you hold dear. She never thought you could be this cruel and cold blooded to someone you said was a friend." Hammond said and they started shaking, now seeing to her, he was a sadistic man, Daniel left, because he had enough. He and Teal'C were gone, he and Sam were hospitalized, and she been taken away from Janet.
All because of his refusal to admit he wasn't strong enough, or Daniel's demonstration, with taking his shirt off, and them knowing immediately he never changed at all. He was still the interrogator that he become, when he was serving under West, and as cold and ruthless. As Maybourne, and the brass decided they weren't having him anywhere near her starting now. "That's right Colonel, if you attacked him, who's to say you never attacked him
"Said your own child and to us you're a pedophile, you're not going anywhere near that baby, and till you're all thinking straight." he said sternly and the trio started shaking, knowing, as Daniel found the tape recording. As he heard the exchange in his head, knowing this would never be explained away in Cassie's eyes. Or Sarah and her father, and decided to leave Frasier like that, it was the end now, and it was all because of Hathor and Iraq now.
"Enough is enough, I'm taking my son away from here and he's not coming back, and you can't tell me. Us, in what we can or can not do, you NID scum." he said and Jack jerked in pain at the recriminations. "Yeah alright that's plenty, show us the clip on their bogus attempt to get you diagnosed, Brandon said Adam already did that one right now." Apone said and Daniel nodded. "Adam did, he's got minor in Psychiatry." Peterson said and he nodded.
"And to quote this the way that Bruce would to Holly, if anything happened to Shannon, and their version got replaced by their half sister. Is this delusion has already consumed more then 9 years of your life, don't let it rob you of anymore. It's all in your head, you never did that to your arm, that you're not sane, and he's crazy, all in your head." Dr. Richard Maddelena said and Jack swallowed hard, knowing to them, it was totally reversed, and they needed serious help.
"They're convinced, though dad removed her kingdom's coordinates from the system they'll walk back in there, when the quartet are there. They need me to prevent that from happening, but quite frankly, they can take that opinion and shove it. I'm not at the beck and call of the Air Force and Marines, for this schizophrenic break from reality." he said and they nodded. "Agreed baby and frankly enough is enough." Maddelena said and Adam nodded in stern agreement.
"Who left the radio on, and because I can see them looking directly at the camera, listening to the entire exchange, and our commentary. But if that's not a way to say go to hell and nothing ever is, but your own lives are so important, you would risk a world?" Hudson said, leaning into the camera and she and Jack started shaking. "Go to hell, you self righteous SOB, you did that to yourselves, you fix yourselves, he's not at your beck and call." he said and they swallowed.
"And like Adam and Jake, I can rephrase this the same way, and it's reversed, if your situations were reversed. If it was them, instead of you and where here, that the remark of, if you say you never thought. And our remark was you didn't think here, this wasn't important enough to tell me first. Before calling the resident crazy psychiatrist, in the psychiatric ranks now?!" Henderson said, knowing Janet would pale.
"Colonel." Mckenzie said, and Barnes crossed his arms then, knowing Jack paled, realizing this was the next attempt then, as they got caught red handed. "Looks like he forgot Adam's research, Adam did the same research, it's battle fatigue." Haden said and he nodded. "I'm not going to enjoy this, am I?" he said and Hammond crossed his arms sternly at that remark. "Part of Dr. MacKenzie's work involves analyzing psychological data from SG units."
"Specifically looking for common side affects to Gate travel, Dr. Jackson's episode yesterday may have uncovered a serious one." he said and Adam nodded sternly, and Jack paled, realizing that was aimed at them, for walking into a contaminated area, again. "Dr. Fraiser's been treating you for headaches lately, hasn't she?" he asked and Jack looked at Janet, who looked away uncomfortably then, and Janet went pale, realizing, now.
The validity of Daniel's question a few minutes earlier, she never acted like their parents, but relied on bloodtests, and Daniel was sick of it. "Yes. What's that got to do with Daniel?" he asked and he explained that. "Well you're not the only one. Fifty-three percent of SG field personnel also have a history of them." he said to him then. "A lot of people get headaches. What's your point?" he asked him and Henderson crossed his arms then.
"Dr. Jackson has experienced what I characterize as a first break psychotic episode. Which may be manifesting full-blown hebephrenic-schizophrenia." he said then and Barnes crossed his arms sternly then. "Or it could be battle fatigue, after being up who knows how long, he's seeing the symbiote that Hathor yanked out of that Jaffa." Haden said sternly, knowing the Colonel Psychiatrist, of the next age group down, would have gone white at that.
"Migraines are often one of the first signs." Janet said and he started shaking, realizing this attempt was meant to get them short changed. Only Daniel was faking the psyched out methods, till they had enough on him and Carter to have them shot. "As interesting twist, but thing of it is, that this was artificial, only the Professor is the real deal, Captain." Hancock said sternly and she started shaking in fear, realizing they were screwed now finally.
"Wait a minute: Daniel's a schizophrenic, and it's caused by…, the Stargate?" Jack said and she said it gently then. "It's the only logical explanation we have right now, Colonel." she said and he nodded, as Mckenzie also went pale, realizing they got caught then finally. "Dr. Jackson's dopamine levels have increased in the left hemisphere of his brain. All these symptoms are textbook schizophrenia." he said to him gently at that.
"I don't understand how this could happen without us noticing signs." Sam said and she finished that. "Nobody knows the exact cause of schizophrenia, some cases are genetic, but there's no history of it in Daniel's family. When it's not genetic, could be chemical, screwing with recreational drugs, if not that. It's environmental and the Stargate is a plausible environmental cause." she said to him and Sam said it to that defensively then.
"I've been through the 'Gate as many times as Daniel, and I don't have headaches." she said and she said it firmly to that at that. "Well your body may have some kind of immunity, possibly due to Jolinar." she said and they nodded. "Alien technology, and digging into medical records family past, is forbidden, without the patient's approval. Or just the family psychiatrist, and I never gave any such order to check his files." Carson said to that sternly.
"Alright, let's say for the sake of argument that it is the Stargate, a theory to which I do not ascribe, then why don't we just put a little sign at the base of the ramp. That says 'Gate travel may be hazardous to your health.' I can live with that." Jack said to him and Sam nodded. "So can I, Sir." she said, nodding in agreement and the quartet exchanged stern looks at that, knowing that to keep going they were going to throw Daniel.
"Well that says they're relieved, with you trapped on Earth, they can use you for translations, and find out which planets in the Ancient's database belong to her." Barnes said sternly and Daniel nodded, knowing they decided it's right to the wolves then. Just to keep going and as Teal'C nodded sternly. "Excuse me, but is that the 'to keep going, we're going to abandon a member of our team', tone in your voices?" Hammond asked and they paled at that.
"The Air Force can't, I can't risk any SG officer having delusions in the middle of a crisis. Therefore, as we speak, all outstanding SG teams are being recalled for evaluation." he said to that sternly. "You're shutting down the whole program?!" she said, never thinking after Shyla, their mistreatment could result in a fast shut down. "Oh you never thought, we'd actually deactivate the program, based on you." Picard said to that look.
"Not him, but you, your attitude, after Shyla, you're convinced he's changed, the technology damaged his mind, oh no, no you're the one that deserves to be deactivated. But what goes around, comes around now, young lady." Haden said sternly and seeing her as she paled in realization at that remark then, as no him, and they're all screwed now. "Only until Dr. MacKenzie and their teams submit their report. If his theory is proven correct."
"Limits will be placed on the number of missions, but until then now, is the Stargate is closed." he said and she started shaking, realizing this once again was the consequence of her decision during Shyla. "General…" Jack started to say and he said it sternly. "There is no debate, Colonel." he said and he said it sighing then. "Of course not." he said and she said it in resignation. "What about Daniel, sir?" she asked and Mckenzie answered that gently.
"For now we're going to medicate him and let him rest in one of the VIP rooms." he said and as Janet said it. "But if his symptoms persist or he becomes a threat to himself or anyone else…, we'll have to commit him to Mental Health." she said and the doctor nodded. "Yeah there we go, we got everything now, well they're screwed right now, but it's them and us, but everything she thought is that was then, this is now." Ripley said to him then gently.
"Yep, as to that we're free of this security risk crap, they're not in the civilian services, and I think it would be kind of tough to find a military law to cover something like this." he said and they looked at the camera and saw Jack pale. "Let's see how they like it when their words are used against them, this is where you belong man, you're a Seal." Hudson said and he nodded gently, "Yeah, but we better end this for the day right now, on that." Apone said to that gently.
"Ente, did you get the officers uniforms arranged, male and female, and said number pair?" Landry asked and they heard a gentle tone. "Yes Admiral, with 15,000 officers, it's 25 pairs per officer in your base, and 25 for the security patrols in housing." she said and he nodded gently. "In creating the uniforms, I replicated to double the current number with 750,000 teenagers and adults in the future, and placed it to age here."
"But pre academy is the grey jumpsuit, that Wes's grandson wore, full cadet is the black with red shoulder pads. So anyone that wants to go all the way from 15 to 24 years in training, only punch in your control codes. And on your lockers, and I will send the number to your room, but I am ready." she said and they nodded to that to the news then. "Flying solely on sensor readings?" Daniel repeated and Sam went pale at that.
"What's wrong now?" Vala asked him and Picard answered that at the question. "Well, it's unusual to fly on sensors alone in this type of manoeuvre, the pilot relies. And on visual clues from the other ships to maintain formation, Wesley's grandson knew that. For 4 years in training on the ship, he relied on Data to pass him tips." he said and she nodded. "This maneuver is the most difficult in precision flying there is, and I'm not allowing it to be attempted here now."
"At the academy, but cadets remember: come forward immediately, it's only a black mark, loss of your flight privileges, loss of that year's credits and get hold back a year. As you know this, you're not ready for this maneuver, still so much to learn that's why we call you cadet, you're a young officer, not an adult, still a child, so much to learn, but I'm your commander. At the academy, with Captain Brand." he said and the 300 cadets in high school form all nodded.
"Wait till the last minute, we never live this down, duty to the truth, duty to your friends, we never lied to you, our parents, Captains Deladier and Brand before, so why start now." Robby said in response and he nodded gently. "Indeed, remember that now." he said and the quintet nodded smiling. "We just started high school, and this 4 years worth of training right now, that before entrance into the academy comes the written exam." Wes said and he nodded gently.
"Baby don't lie to them, if you have to, just make sure you get the truth out, before it's over, we had this plan in place, since you were 17, so if it's directly after Daniel comes back. And we show your version the truth, you show them the truth, in between sessions now. And with it, what caused the accident, you never lied to your versions of Picard, Brand, Beverly. And Deladier before, so why start now exactly." he said, speaking to his grandson and they nodded.
"In fact…" Daniel started to say and the smiled, and punched the time index card, as the quintet appeared before them. "Wesley I got an idea that insures you never get in trouble here, but as your father said, double agent processes here. So once you think they have you in your lie, request a sound proofed meeting, and you tell them and your parents the truth. You get off, and the duo get in trouble, as you get her guilt off her shoulders." he said and he nodded then.
"Ente, bring Admiral Brand, Captains Deladier, Satelk and Cadet Sito Jaxa here, time to drop the bomb now, she's learning how this plan was formed. But after 3 years, they forget the plan and it switches areas." he said and 4 flashes appeared right behind them. "Hello Andrea, I'm Commander Jackson's grandfather." he said and she smiled and nodded. "What's this about, if you brought us and Cadet Crusher here?" Captain John Deladier asked him and he smiled.
"Where are you in your present exactly?" He asked and they nodded. "It's a week, after the situation between Roga Danar and his government." she said and he nodded. "Yeah okay, well Cadet Locarno and Hajar are really Edina Hawks, borderline NID officers. But deciding on a duty to your friends and duty to the truth, your grandparents, my version. Decided here the penalty for the Starburst, if you all come forward immediately is a black mark on the record here."
"You lost your flight privileges, lose your credits for the year and get hold back a year, that's if you come forward immediately." he said and Cadet Sito Jaxa said down, feeling relief at the news. "That's all it is, tell the truth, we get off easy, with these four things, and nobody thinks any less of us?" she asked and Brand nodded gently. "There's a reason we call you cadets, you still have so much to learn, you're good at this age, really good, but you've still in truth."
"Have so much to learn, Cadet Sito." Deladier said to her and she nodded. "Jaxa, listen to me, but Wesley is 5th generation Starfleet, from his father's side, he knows this. Just ask him, he'll tell you what I just did, but I'm helping in training you guys, currently, you're 15. In human years, so your grandmother comes here, you get the intuition shooting through you. To know, come forward immediately and you get off easy, but do your time under Jean Luc now."
"Alright Jean Hajar, she's the one that's disgraced, and Locarno expelled, Wesley knew that being 5th generation Starfleet, as was Josh Alberts, but the Josh that dies. Said was clone, but your team decided anything goes to save themselves from expulsion. Once he tries to make said impassioned plea, the truth comes out, as you and Wes show the accident. From your point of view, and whet happened between sessions." Daniel said and they nodded smiling in relief.
"So peer pressure is enough to get you expelled, along with lying to a superior officer?" she said to clarify and they nodded. "In knowing you're bursting at the seams to admit to what really happened when we catch the maneuver in the early stages, now. How do you explain this, answer, you can't with your squadron leader and his accomplice sitting there. And you do it in private, you already turned them in, till we catch it further in the act." Picard said to her gently.
"Alright I'll do it, you got yourself a further plant, I'm the plant inside the squadron, Wes's my contact to you now, till we reach the end of the hearing now. And once, if it takes a little longer, and the truth comes out, as you see the accident. And why we both been dealing with the guilt, but I'm not telling Nick and Jean anything about this. I swore my loyalty to you and to my parents, to Wes, so you or them, it's always going to be you." she said and they nodded gently.
"So this is the southern pole on earth right now, I see that the base is underwater then, if I can see out these windows, instead of the pitch black of space. I see the dark sky blue of water, yes alright only we're getting the ships we're training with from one of the cultures. That we see next year, but the Novas see dishonesty is the only option, lying, stealing, Genocide. That type of thing, to get an edge against the against, one as dangerous, supposedly as the Cardassians."
"Is that what the debate is about, we had the same rant that we're about to get from Chief O'briens's ex-commander on the Rutledge?" Satelk said and he nodded. "Yep and with that, you're one of our stops, along with the Bajorans and the other alien races. But Starfleet was created this way and had a serious hate on, for red shirts with the full military attitude. On intellect, expecting the brainiacs to do it for them." he said and Brand crossed her arms.
"And with that, your academy is on Deck 26, and 16 miles around, so like the movie, it's taking the shuttle to get class. So if you're an underclass-man, just entering the military academy, for the pre academy recruits. It's orientation till you're ready and with that in mind." Picard said and Daniel finished it "What's our depth, at this level, you said 15ft from floor to ceiling, so how many are we at this depth?" Daniel asked and they heard a comforting tone to him then.
"At this depth you are at 645ft, Commander, everything's fine, the team is the other 330ft deeper." she said and he nodded gently. "Well 975ft equals 9.5 days in the chamber, but anyone that never did a stint inside you, has no idea what they're getting themselves into. And just wait till the cadets further update your internal security plan, because you're the ship itself. Rather then A.I., you're the Enterprise." he said and they heard a gentle smile then to this.
"Yes and with you living in side me, I get severely protective with you, with my occupants now, you're safe, as my shields are highly fortified now.
