Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
With this chapter it's jumping over the mission to Ernest's research station, before returning to earth now, and ending up back on the base now. Said now looking exactly like the Enterprise D, in every way, shape or form. And just without the technical problems, as the tunneling between their base and White Rock Research Station. There is a set of jeffries tubes going horizontally that way, rather then vertically.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 63: Trauma Truths And The Mission Aftermaths VII
"I don't believe this, despite you're kicking him out of the base line program, he still brings in results, but the prototype.The technology salvage, he found the second gate, and he brings back intel. But he's been in Saint Louis for three weeks, and nothing either of us or Mckenzie say changes the trio's minds. And after that Goa'uld showed up." they heard from Jack and then heard Makepeace as Svetlana crossed her arms sternly.
And they all paled at that. "Well if you're attempting to over do it here that works, but we need a way, now to make sure. That he's declared as everything we've been claiming and..., wait a second. You remember that Jim Carrey movie that just came out, we use that, but the one we don't have to convince. Now, is Frasier, if we use their ideas, and by channeling our thoughts into her head, through Mckenzie now."
"We do that and we got a shot until we get him off your team, but it's all in or not at all, off the team finally right now, but we don't let him go completely, we still need him for translations, but that's all we need him for now." he said and listening to this, Haden and Barnes crossed their arms, as the sextet tightened their grip. On the quartet's arms sternly and the quartet started shaking violently in fear, realizing he had enough evidence.
And just to put them away, for her, her reasoning was she only wanted to protect herself, from her own stupidity, but to them this was criminal now. And she been characterized as insane, and now her father, who possibly had been trying to dial in. And she was about to hear what happened and about to rip her a new one for this. "At the moment trying to convince the general is a lost cause, ever since Hathor, but thanks to him, I'm stuck under psyche."
"And for anger management, but what's even worse is that Carson is working on the base now, and he's a friend of his parents. And as is Matheson and Old man Warren, but nothing we say make's a difference. Since the girls took charge here and I know that Addison, Ferretti and Carter agree with him. That his ways work better then anything we try." Jack said in disgust at that response and the Landry nodded sternly to that.
As they heard an irritated remark. "Well frankly I don't give a damn what Jackson thinks, he's humiliated us one too many times. And with the SGC back in action, it's time to push the missions further up. You guys never go anywhere without your battalion coins, but give us two weeks we can create duplicates of our medallions. And one has the chip transmitter that they used on the movie now as we plant one on Frasier."
"And this way, we can insure that once this next mission hits, as we blew 10lbs of Naquada on a doomed attempt. Our only option is, with whatever happens next, that he's been declared as what we've been trying to for six months." they heard from Maybourne and it skipped ahead as they heard the next remark a few weeks later. "Good news we found a planet loaded with Naquada, but here's the added bonus, on this planet."
"And once on the inhabitants side of the gate, there's a case study of mating rituals that once activated, keep the victim trapped there. There's our chance to either get rid of Jackson or declare him as psychologically unfit for duty. And we can get him out of the program finally." they heard at that in response firmly then and Sam went white, realizing after Sha're, she just joined with them, in order to protect herself then and swallowed hard.
"Whether Frasier knows it or not she's now a willing accomplice, as of this moment, I refused to just take a few weeks off now, since Carter got turned into a host at the time. But going by Carter's information, the catalyst is perfect, he just saw his parent's accident. And we can use that as a reason to claim he lost his mind, out of grief on this mission and that gets him off the team, as I make it clear he's out."
"As I drive up the added side effects here, as until whatever side effects there are finish him off, or cause something even better now." Jack said and they heard a cold smirk at that information in response. "Yeah, but two failed missions in the side of eight years, and you're driving Jackson and the duo into exhaustion works too now. And it's because you're trying to forget Desert Storm and Michaels at the moment here."
"So if he accepts this next one, he's going to become one of us in his attempt to declare Jackson. As he's now everything we've been saying ever since Hathor was here." Makepeace said and they nodded and then Hancock crossed his arms at that remark. "Well then I got to make sure he never sees that information, or we're screwed right now. Or prevent him from leaving, because without him the plan falls apart here."
"But it's making sure the plan plays out, or we're screwed, but Frasier is under our control, we do this and we got the trio as well. And no one is going to listen, once whatever sides effects result in my circumstances in my medical records. But that's our only chance at pulling this off, by duplicating my stint down to the limit." Jack said, and Rosen nodded, reading through it as he listened carefully to this and she went white then.
"Despite all the reports I've given out to him regarding Jackson, he's still taking Carson's opinions, so this maybe our one chance at this, Frasier is in love O'neill. And she's also afraid of his temper, so she does this and there's no going back. They're one of us, but if this doesn't do it, in Hammond's eyes, and it takes repeated issues. We're going to have to finish the job, because they're both in this up to their necks."
"And whether she want to admit it or not, they're one of us if they go through with this next mission."They heard and the older man nodded in shocked disgust at what he heard then in shock. "It's your word against your's, called a hustle, Captain, you never knew this, I'm better then you think, but speculations are one thing, you need evidence. And I have it right here, I don't have to hear Kinsey's voice, to know he, Vidrine."
"And West are involved in this too. And it's because after I confronted him, they saw, with my being an idealist, I'm dangerous to their plans for control of the program. Hence my sudden freeze up, over said future visions, those visions, I'm having premonitions now. But the Q, the races and the Tollan chose me, and it's because I am the said good man that he mentioned. Return to Earth, and put an end now."
"And to the commies, all it takes are a few good men, well here I am." he said and she swallowed hard. "But why doesn't it surprise me here, in order to protect yourself, you try to kill me. To claim me that way as well, you crossed over Captain, you're one of them now." he said to her then and she started shaking in fear, knowing she was desperate to do just that, but she didn't have a choice, there was no way to deactivate the magnet effects.
And the one and only way, was not something she wanted to consider after she did it to him now there, not with what Jolinar put in her head over the effects of it now at the time. "Indeed, his word against your's after we got the letter from Pyrus himself. Before Shyla sent the follow up letter, she's helping him do the research. Never meeting face to face, we knew he was in recovery, so why should we believe you exactly right now."
"Knowing you're desperate to hold him here, because you never exercised common sense, you knew we said no drinking, and yet you did it anyway." Hammond said sternly and she swallowed hard then to this then. "But you want me gone from the base program, okay I'm gone, out of the Air Force, I can start a new life, as a Navy crewman now." he said and the trio started shaking in fear then, realizing their idea worked a little too well.
And he took the mission, the job offer with the Navy then without, in truth, thinking twice about it, and wherever he was going, was so overly fortified. As they had no way to get to him, or to his friends outside the program now. "As such this psychosis of your's is the sole reason here right now, you're still hung up on your truth. Said psychosis called here 'orders never make sense, it's a lie, brought on by drugs', but I brought in over 985 octillion."
"And that's just the beginning, if just her can make an impact now, as such, you're as crazy here. As Linda was, after Michael convinced her about judgment day, it's Aramis." Daniel said and she swallowed hard at that remark. "But that's a Sith exactly, all a Sith thinks about is power, only about themselves. But a Jedi is selfless, only caring about others, to you my one biggest flaw is it was that I wanted to save people."
"And so badly, I want to help people so much, that it tore me apart when I couldn't ever make a difference, well I can now, without you getting in the way of that. Building bridges instead of burning them, something your father would agree with, I just found a way to bring earth together as a whole. The medication I bring back, and that's the key right now, unite the planet, by better health care, better ways to live."
"Not by war, but by peace, my peace treaty now."he said and she went white then. "Offworld allies, the first of many, but the SGA is starfleet, and creating a way to live, without you destroying everything we work for. You must return to Earth, put an end to the commies, all it takes are a few good men. Well do you know who those commies really are?" he asked and they all paled at that remark, realizing they were the commies.
"It's the NID, or NID associated, you're military CIA Captain, I just joined starfleet now. And that good man, good people are me, and my new command, we're called Starfleet now, Captain. The United Federation Of Planets, bringing in more off worldly allies everyday, building bridges. Instead of burning them right now, helping when they need help now, but as you never got enough done, let's see how well."
"That Starfleet does: In a blend of goods, currency, medical care, or we just help with their racial problems, and see where that leads us to." he said and she realized his knowledge, and skill was vital. "And as for you, Colonel, this is an homage now, but you left me in the hands of the psychiatric department 4 months ago now. Well it's your turn now, I'm not going to stop them from holding you down and drugging you."
"As for seeing symbiotes, or Hathor, all over the place, you're hallucinating, Jack." he said and they started shaking in fear, realizing every cruel word and action, he reversed it back on them. "James, I want it at 5cc's at 4 hour intervals, he starts getting agitated, call the boys, because he's not going anywhere." Carson said to him then gently then and Rosen and Jack went pale, realizing they were going to do to him, what Mckenzie did to Daniel.
As Mckenzie swallowed hard at this then finally. "Yeah if that's not poetic justice and nothing ever is, couldn't happen to nicer batch of people now." Bishop said sternly and they swallowed hard, and at the cruel irony, that Daniel was about to do to them. After Hathor, followed by Shyla and now comes Machello, as Mckenzie was being locked up for attempted murder. Via malpractice, Janet was under arrest for malpractice, they been committed to mental health.
And Daniel smiled sternly. "Like you said, nothing worse then losing your mind, and knowing it's happening. So see you when you come out of the nuthouse, in a year, maybe more." he said and they went pale and she started shaking in fear, realizing after the virus went into them. This was the follow up, and now he was just leaving them to the psychiatrics, as he kept going then, as he left them, doing what they did to him at the time.
As she watched Vala grip his hand, and he squeezed it tightly and as she looked at him smiling, and he smiled her, and Sam felt her heart shatter. Knowing the alien woman took her place, as his best friend now, she was everything he needed, without the recriminations. And Daniel was lost to her now, out of her crazed jealousy. "Well as he said is nothing worse then losing your mind, and knowing it's happening." Teal'C said and they swallowed hard at that.
"Indeed to which he has, if they're about to freak out, but I can hear the remark, after the Doctor said that to Robert. In paraphrase of his counterpart's version of his patient, this movie you described, art imitating life, you call it now." Vala said and he nodded. "It's a biography made into a movie, Christopher is playing the doctor, when he was 58. A British actor, is playing Dr. Nash when he was 30." Daniel said gently then
And she nodded in understanding then gently to him."Actors throw everything we have into making it believable, my dear. As such I play 2 key characters to his life, 1) his maternal grandmother, psychiatrist. His grandmother is the woman John was looking at, when he was at the bar, as a 20 year old. The other, his grandfather's commander, I'm playing, as a jesuit, what we call the Archbishop, which is the leader of Jesuits."
"We're priests, Henry, Michael, Timothy and me." Plummer said and she nodded, smiling then. "So the paternal side in two characters are dead, but you're still here, along with their younger selves, your fellow cast members, I understand, Doctor." she said and he nodded. "The people that he's seeing, when separated from me, and from his school gang, and Jennifer, that's Alicia's 25 year old self, are really hallucinations."
"Right now, to the point, and I knew this, that his working the state department, resulted in his condition going crazy."he said and she nodded. "Russel is playing a 30 year old, but he's 36, and the movie, in the first half. It was a case of an invisible friend, it's the second of the movie, that his condition went from innocent. to becoming a threat, to himself and others, which is this exactly." he said and she nodded.
And in understanding to the explanation, as she made a mental note to watch said movies. "I hope that's on the incoming movie list at the theater, so I can learn earth culture through film now, in addition to sports and books." she said and he nodded smiling in understanding then. "The team is a true team now, so if not poker night, we watch movies, as a team night now." he said and she and Cam nodded smiling gently then.
And as Teal'C smiled at that. "Hey guys, how about said first movie, musical, how about Little Shop Of Horrors here." Dixon said and they, Bert, Adams and Keller nodded. "Fair enough that ship movie log should be interesting, but at least they're not man eaters, we need to see these things up close and personal, as I said I been to Reims. Gascony and Calais from time to time, but I just never been to La Rochelle yet, to see them."
"Although the Pantherans are on every planet." Vala said and he nodded. "Kovu's species, he's a pantheran, cheetah sized house cat, their fur is beyond soft. But with skin that soft, from the lotion, they love to run their fur against your feet. Just get you start laughing here, like his human counterparts, they see us. As a humanoid kitten, adopt you." he said and they nodded, as he looked at the show creators then gently then.
As they exchanged looks sternly, as Davis, Judge and Shanks separated from the trio, along with Jones, Shea and Carmen Argezanio and Tony Amendola then and they paled then. "Brad, the show switched off military POV's to civilian, the show is showing. Through my eyes, during the next 7 months, in time dilation, what it did to their mental states. If the General needs rescue, then I'll come back but other then that, the episode after."
"Said is an example of my being here, when I should have been at the SGA, Teal'C and Jared with me, if we get aliens like the pod people, or just the game coming here." he said and Cooper and Wright nodded sternly to the news. "So that episode is non canon, you guys are not even here, and that's a close call foothold. And Chris and Michael are here on location and get cloned by these things now, but the next two follow up are."
"Along with his undercover stint, got it." Wright said and he nodded gently then to him. "And rather then calling the SGA she calls the enemy, in our eyes, which says she feels is safer. And with her own kind, then calling the SGA, call a fellow NID, then SGA." he said and she went white, never thinking she could be cast that way. And just because she never headed for her apartment and called the ship, instead of catching the first plane to D.C. now.
"Yeah that's bad alright, why call the Enterprise when she can call her own kind, the NID." Barnes said sternly to this then in disgust and she swallowed, realizing she was screwed. "Yeah not good at all right now, why bother calling the ship when she can catch the first flight to D.C., and tell Maybourne, who's nearly assimilated himself, in the assault on the plane." Fletcher said sternly and she swallowed hard, knowing she was completely screwed now at that.
"And just so you know here young lady, in truth here, is that Cromwell is one of my men." Landry said and they both went white in fear at that. "So she does that, she could be seen as NID complacent, they converted her entirely. Yeah I see, I also see why you see her as the enemy now, after last year's debacle, and Machello's virus." Cooper said sternly and she started shaking violently then in fear, now realizing she was screwed here now.
"The new SG-1 are us now, me: Colonel Dr. Daniel Jackson, Lieutenant Colonel Teal'C Thomas Martell, Major Cameron Mitchell, and Captain Vala Mal Doran. We're season 9 SG-1, she just came to drop a warning to me." he said and they nodded. "You abandoned him first young lady, you deserve this, out of sight, out of mind. But it's not his job to prevent you and from making fools of yourselves, he doesn't need a babysitter."
"He's an adult." Landry said sternly to her. "Point taken, at least that's one part of it, but why the hell do you look like the kid, on Harrison's movie exactly. After he escaped the palace right now?" Raynor asked and he nodded. "After Shyla and Kynthia, they became convinced, that anything we get in hospitality from another country is drugged. So they're sticking to rations and Americanized versions, of these foods." he said and they both nodded sternly to the news.
"So Shyla and Kynthia, that's Greece and France, who's next exactly, Germany, Italy, Mongolia?" he asked and Daniel nodded. "She got captured by the Toughai, remember." he said and they both nodded. "Uh huh, and there it is, instead of Toughai, being the one to catch her, it's Gascony, and Gascony drugged her, before she took her combat skills to this Romeo." Bishop said and Jordan covered his eyes, knowing that was enough to consider 2 strikes in their cases.
"So where's the strike 3 here?" Rodney said and he shook his head. "There was no strike 3, only two strikes and they both snapped out of fear of being drugged, in hospitality." he said and they and Sarah nodded. "Well clearly, the anthropology missions to you are safe, if you carry an idea of how to handle this without being rude to the indigenous people. You get good food, great lodging, and enjoy a nice relaxing mission, so yeah, way stronger." Shepard said to him gently.
"Well your word is our bible now, in order to protect ourselves and we get the best ever food and lodging, we could get when in missions, but as you said here now. And there's a catch we have to deal with, one of the named planets, we'd go to, I need to alert them. If my ex master is one of the side owners of Earth, and they're a Middle Eastern Culture to, on your planet here now. That they're under the protection of the Federation, I'm serving as a minor to the organization."
"Called Starfleet, we are there if they need us, but their version of food, is Israeli, as you call it, but 'Contact teams meeting a new grouping. In time frames, must be prepared, for severe psychological side effects. Of that culture, as not having studied in advance, and can not be entirely predicted in advance. But the most likely consequence of contact, is absolute terror.'" Vala said and Daniel smiled at her as Jordan hid a chuckle then.
"Nobody's drinking on duty here though, we both know what this is." he said, passing her the elixir, and she opened it, and took a whiff, and nodded. "Yeah I know what this is alright, they tried again and again to catch me in there, in different colors, but never worked. But Quetesh was a fertility goddess." she said and he nodded. "She's the goddess, of fertility and sexual desire, but eat, drink and be merry, also quite lust driven, she cast a spell on these guys."
"Vala, your symbiote, is the minor to Ra, she's, in Greek form Aphrodite, the goddess of love, in this case, your powers are, instead of arrows, like a cupid, you use that. And it turns into this episode." he said, passing her a copy of the comic loved to death, and she nodded as the teams all started laughing at that. "You people really need to start paying attention in class right now, the planets are owned by a sexual goddess." Landry said, bemused and they all paled at that.
"Question, who did your father mean by these three cadets exactly, next to your character personality?" she asked and he nodded. "There were 80 trainees involved in his class, but the trio mentioned are his dorm mates, one of them wanted to get married and have children. The second wanted to go into politics, and the third his best friend and team mate now. She decided to keep him focused, to keep from screwing up, as they combined their strengths together."
"But it was after a break up letter she now was beyond furious, her rival for him, broke his heart, after she and his new best friend tried to talk some sense into him. He lost total focus and a ill conceived decision cost him his earned position as captain of the team. Before he was about to leave, their hometown got bombed by the race of alien insects they were fighting. And they shipped out, before he lost four more of his friends." Daniel said and she nodded sternly then.
"We're switching personality traits here, so Annie, you're the politician cadet then." she said and Anna nodded smiling then. "I think that sums it up, but you only knew him for 3 years, he and I know everything about each other, that he knew what my father did for a living. Captain as such, you really expected me to not take this serious, that episode focused on me. Is non canon, because we're going after the cloning technology next." Sarah said sternly to Sam then.
"And now this feels like we did, back in college, running group study time and in turn it turns into a debate, till the coffee cup gets knocked off the table." Raynor said and he looked down as he tried to keep from laughing at that remark, knowing he was right at the time. "Yeah alright guys, pulls yourselves together here right now, but whatever he told you people. Said was the truth, he prevented 500 attempted date rapes, and knew immediately what just happened."
"That you people cracked after only two missions, so for you young man it was Argos and Calais, and her it was Simarka and Gascony. So clearly this is why we should take over the job, we have an idea of how to do this. And without the negative side effects here right now, but if you snapped after only two strikes, you're clearly not cut out. And for anthropology fieldwork, and should become the ground troops, leave us trade deals?" Jordan asked and they paled at that.
"Were you his basketball coach in addition to his Archeology professor?" Landry asked and he nodded then. "I was and this is why he and Cameron would be playing basketball, he's like his father, basketball player and archeologist, only the family name hit the table again. The Doctors Jackson, in the second generation." he said and they all nodded smiling, as Sarah leaned into Daniel's chest, and he smiled, and Sam swallowed hard then, realizing he was getting married.
"Get over it Carter, he doesn't belong to you, you want a man, get married and settle down, but stop chasing after married men, is that your only safe guard. Lunatics and married men, you're a tramp, anyone that even shows the slightest interest in making it permanent, you freak. So why don't stop running and grow up, you're like Lilly on Mystic Pizza, grow up, you're 34. It's time to settle down!" she shouted at her sternly then and she swallowed hard at that remark
"But a human can not live on MRE's alone, you need everything in the 5 basic, for a healthy diet, look at you, you're practically skin and bones, you're beyond pale." Bishop said in shock and he nodded. "That's why the Navy took charge so fast, my uncle, who is another family friend, remember Lieutenant Commander Brandon Henderson?" he asked and they and Bishop nodded. "He took charge, and is getting the weight back on me." he said and they nodded in relief.
"Yeah they starved and abused you, in the Air Force, let's see how well we do with the Navy, though that pans out, we got a better opinion of the Navy, Army. More then we do of the Marines and Air Force, after certain people's treatment of you right now." Father Richard Thomas said sternly and Jordan nodded in stern disgust, as Sam swallowed hard at that. Finally realizing how disgusted, and furious here his class crowd and their adults were of them at the time.
And just because of their insecurities in the job. "But 10 days of good food and uninterrupted sleep, after settling in last night, my first full night here, I never slept more deeply. And in my life, but said scars as Priscilla Pointer said, not guilt, but buried trauma here now. Ones that are fading away, albeit slowly, and Kate and Uncle Jake are beyond satisfied here. My recovery in their eyes, is coming along nicely, but not there yet, but that's sexual traumas now here."
"That how about this, after the truth came out, and they realized how much weight I lost exactly?" Daniel asked and she started shaking in fear, realizing by her desperation to protect herself, she was killing him, by starving him of the nutrients their bodies needed now. And as a result, being around the trio was fixing the severe lack in nutrients then. That they had to get into his body and he was going to be spending 10 months to a year, getting back into shape.
"Couldn't care less could you, my emotional status be damned here, and for your own safety, everything be damned for you own safety. Dad, Teal'C and I don't mean a thing to you, you kept choosing him right now, he's your protector. But this is not my fault, if you bothered to pay attention in lectures, if you'd bother to report this bastard. You never would have destroyed your life right now, you're a real piece of work."
"We're involved in a program that bring it together, a whole new meaning to science fiction, and yet you choose the easy way to protect yourself. Only thinking about yourself here, in truth to everyone here, you're an NID tramp. Because you're refusing to admit the one you should be blaming is him, and so you blame me. Just because I never mentioned the elixir or serum, but you should think, think, before acting."
"And as your father, or dad, said, repeatedly, no drinking on duty, but your know it all status finally caught up here. The bastard is a rapist, he's a level two in military intelligence interrogators, but with him converted 10 years back. He used that crap on me, do you even care about what he did to enemy soldiers, 15 years ago?"Daniel said and she started shaking in fear. 'Uh huh, point taken.' he thought sternly to that response.
"Uh huh, I'm not a soldier, I'm a civilian, but my feelings, dad's approval, even your father's trust. Yeah you converted, you're an NID, and to NID anything goes." Daniel said and she went white at that. "Get it, dad says this, dad says that, dad thinks, dad believes, dad, dad, dad, dad, dad, my father is the general, he adopted me, and we find our way back to each other, I come first." he said and she started shaking then.
Now realizing this just drove a wedge between their families. "Nice wording there baby, but way to go young lady, you just ripped everything apart. Your father maybe a friend, but not my best friend anymore, it's over now." Hammond said and she froze up at that remark. "You get the point, after what you did, out of your desperation to protect yourself, your detachment to his feelings right now, all I see is my subordinate."
"Not my god daughter, you're not her, you don't even come close." he said and she jerked in pain, as the tears started pouring down her face, realizing to him, he thought she deserved what she got, after her treatment of him and Sha're whereabouts then.
