Rock and Revy:
- While dedicated to making sure Riley doesn't live the same life she did, Revy did make her go through some training throughout her life. She taught Riley how to fight, put ankle weights on her so she'd be able to run faster without them, even taught her how to fire a gun when Riley was old enough. Rock was reluctant about these training sessions, but Riley ultimately came out a stronger and better person because of it. Revy does know when to give Riley a break and just let her be a kid, so it wasn't hellish at all.
- Revy became a source for life advice for Riley's teenage years, much to her surprise. While Rock isn't necessarily bad at giving life advice, Riley thinks her mother's advice is more realistic and grounded and of course, much less wordy.
- Revy has a habit of cleaning her cutlasses on the kitchen table and describing in great detail the many aspects of them ranging from how many rounds they fire, the size of the exit wounds the bullets create, and just what would happen if any boys Riley would bring home did something to her. This often scares them away much to Riley's embarassment.
- Rock was the one who taught Riley how to drive and more often than not, the car doesn't get a chance to make it out unscathed. Thankfully, she did manage to get her learner's permit and driver's license on the first try.
- Rock also helped Riley prepare for her first job interview which was in retail. Unfortunately, Riley got fired about three months in due to constant impatience towards the less reasonable customers. He's still helped her find more jobs from there. Secretly as an adult, she did try a few shadier jobs with Revy. They didn't tell Rock about it of course.
- While Rock is very proud of the woman Riley is growing up to be, part of him does miss the days of her being a toddler especially when he had to take care of her in the house while he worked from home. It does get to a point where Rock tends to daydream Riley as her 5 year old self whenever she talks to him.
- By the time Riley hits 12-13, Rock and Revy's confidence in parenting her does reach their peak. Whatever worries and insecurities they have about raising Riley are essentially gone, they know she's heading down the right path even with her flaws. A far better path either of them walked. Only thing they look forward to in a bittersweet lens is the day Riley finally goes out on her own.
About Some Others:
- As a teenager, Riley is either Eda's best friend or Riley just mercilessly bullies Eda. It depends on the day of the week. Eda even starts mistaking her for Revy sometimes due to how similar their banter is.
- Balalaika is the Yanda to Riley's Yotsuba and they had the pettiest beef in both their lives. Sometimes she'd go out of her way to tease Riley just to piss her off even with little things like "asking" if she needs help reaching a snack on the higher shelf; Boris does question if this rivalry was really worth his Kaptain's time at some point and Bala agrees it's not but that won't stop her from having fun. She's retired and has nothing better to do anyway, so why not. Balalaika does know not to mess with Riley too much or she would suffer the wrath of Mama Bear Revy. She also does like to splurge on Riley when it's her birthday. Riley also calls Balalaika "Burnt Face Lady", it's presumably the least offensive name she's been called and just gets a frown out of her.
- Balalaika and Chang, despite their retirement, tend reignite their feud on who gets Riley the best birthday presents. This is Riley's favorite time of year as well as Rock and Revy's most stressful. Entire gang wars are fought with Nerf guns/products with a shed filled to the brim with dart-filled buckets just to prepare for Riley's birthday. They even keep score on who wins the most "gunfights". They switched to airsoft after realizing darts aren't a good substitute for bullets around Riley's teen years. Her Sweet 16 ends up a warzone because of it with Revy even buying herself custom airsoft cutlasses, treating it as training. Rock got turned into a hostage trying to break it up only to be saved by Riley after Revy got tagged out. This was the first time Riley had to save her father and it definitely won't be the last.
- Dutch in his free time has taken Riley out for fishing more often and while they still have fun doing it, Dutch can't help but note how much more of her parents she's becoming, especially her mother (for better but occasionally for worse). Soon "Mini-Revy" won't be so mini anymore. While he wouldn't admit it out loud, Dutch would shed at least a single tear if Riley ever starts calling him "Boss Man". Luckily, he's still her wise Uncle Dutch.
- Even after learning "Chinglish" isn't Shenhua's real name and is a slur, Riley still calls her that and by that point, Shenhua can't even feel offended anymore.
- Benny has occasionally bought Riley a few video game consoles for her birthday. Her very first one was the Nintendo Gamecube before shortly upgrading to the Wii. Unfortunately, the TV got impaled by a Wii remote after Revy tried to play Wii Sports Bowling without wearing the wrist strap.
About Riley:
- As Riley grew older, she started to take on her mother's appearance more and more. While she does keep her shorter hair and longer bangs on the left side of her face, Riley as an adult ends up looking almost identical to Revy prior to leaving Roanapur. It gets to the point that unsuspecting people mistake them for sisters. Riley also gets a snake tattoo on her upper right arm.
- In terms of strength, Riley does end up a better fighter as an adult but still pretty even against her middle aged mother. Side-by-side though, they could take down an entire army. Revy is still the best gunslinger in the family, but Riley isn't too far behind.
- When it comes to intelligence, Riley isn't exactly on Rock's level of planning and thinking, but she's still pretty clever and observant in her own right. The signs were there as a 5 year old, she just didn't fully utilize it. She also starts picking up more of her mother's vocabulary when she reaches her teens.
- Riley is very bad at smoking, to the point she'd just go straight into a minute long coughing fit but she did inherit her parents' iron liver. For her 21st birthday, the Okajimas had a drinking contest which ended with Rock and Revy on the floor and Riley just barely able to stand up.
- When it comes to special school events, Riley wears a suit and tie. Because of that, one girl in middle school mistook her for a boy and asked her out to the prom. Riley told her she was a girl, but still went with her because she felt "kinda bad". Eda convinced Riley to actually wear a dress and "show off some feminine charm" for her high school prom, even doing her makeup. She ended up liking it a lot more than she'd thought.
- During highschool, Riley gains the reputation of being the "Bully Hunter" after she broke the nose of a very snobby girl who kept bullying her. This title earned her some controversy and definitely some trouble too. Some respected her, some feared her, some even fell head over heels for her. This might've been how Riley met her boyfriend too.
- For college, Riley decided she wanted to be a zookeeper and specifically work with snakes so she became a zoology major. She even interned at the zoo for some time.
Riley Goes to Roanapur:
- At some point during her adulthood, Riley visits Roanapur for the first time. Her parents were initially super against it, but Riley was really insistent on seeing her parent's "hometown". They spent about three days navigating the city. It's still a shithole, but things might've slightly changed since Rock and Revy left; now you are to be expected pickpocketed by four people instead of five.
- Riley learns how much of a hotshot her parents were and even saw the place where they had their first major argument. Rock even pointed at the exact table too. While he and Revy looked back on that day and their cigarette kiss in the car, Riley is just like "What the fuck?". In fact, that's basically her reaction to hearing more about her parents and family's backstories; the part of her mom kidnapping her dad was the least strange part somehow. She still loves them dearly, but Riley admits they're one "fucked up" family.
- Rock and Revy covered Riley's eyes when they passed by Rowan's club. Rowan thought he was seeing double when he first met Riley and tried to make a move on her, Rock drew out way faster than Revy for the first time. Ironically since the gun was still in Revy's holster. Rowan immediately backed off, showing more fear towards Rock than Revy for the first time in his life.
- Another place they visited was the Rip Off Church where Yolanda is somehow still alive and well (Eda lowkey wants her to die already though). Riley also did get to say hi to her aunt Eda and meet Rico. She wasn't surprised that this is what Eda meant by "church work". Another person who's surprisingly still alive is Praiyachat. Much like her mother, he gave Riley her very own set of custom guns; modified Colt M1911s.
- Upon visiting the Yellow Flag, Bao's 20 years of peace came to an end when he saw a middle aged Revy with her now young adult daughter. After they and Rock had a few drinks and left, Bao immediately put up a picket sign with a big prohibited emblem on Revy's face.
- At some point, the Okajima family meet Feng and Le Majeur. The two of them haven't seen Rock and Revy for years since they left Roanapur. Feng is happy for Rock that he managed to find a more peaceful life and have a kid with Revy, Le Majuer was happy for Revy too but disappointed she didn't get to meet Riley sooner. She would've called Riley her niece.
- While Rock and Revy were busy raising Riley, Dutch decided to dedicate years to expand on Lagoon Company. He and Benny got many more workers, many more boats, and a lot more work. When the Okajimas visited, Dutch and Benny barely had time to chat. They also got a new main gunslinger/negotiator duo that won't end up dead within a month, the best part for Dutch is they keep it professional (he swears if he even sees a hint of romantic tension, they're fired).
- On the third day of their vacation, Riley got involved in her first shootout. Some new gang kidnapped Rock, requiring her and Revy to save him. Rock isn't even worried, he knows what his wife and daughter are capable of. Riley also developed her first Whitman Fever when they were raiding the new gang's base which Revy of all people had to calm her down from; a surreal experience for both of them. After that, they rescue Rock and kill off the gang leader no problem. The Russians and Tirads were sure to be thankful.
- The final stop before leaving was the gift shop and to say there wasn't really anything worth buying was an understatement. When they got back, Riley saw a picture of her unsuspecting parents at the beach in a tourism ad in the airport. Rock and Revy still don't know who or how they caught that picture to this very day.
- Overall, Riley ranks Roanapur "7 Shootouts out of 10". She loved it and never wants to go back. The very next week, Riley goes back to college and just doesn't mention all the mass murder she did.
