"Welcome to the first ever Daphne Cooking Show. My name's Daphne and today, I'll be showing you how to cook a delicious and nutritious meal for all occasions!"
Subaru, who was with Daphne, gave her a thumbs up. He was using his phone to record the girl. "Yeah, that was good. Now give a step by step tutorial of everything you'll be doing."
"Right!" Daphne got down from the step stool and ran over to Subaru, standing right in front of him. "Now, the first and most important step is to get your trusty Subarun and recharge!"
Without giving Subaru a chance to react, she lunged at the boy and hugged him tightly. She quite eagerly shoved her face into the poor boy's chest and sniffed him like some kind of dog.
Subaru's eyes twitched in annoyance but he kept smiling like nothing was wrong. "I think you can skip that step…"
"Nuh-uh! Without this step, I'll get really hungry and eat everything before it's done!"
Subaru sighed and patted Daphne's head. "Alright, but please keep the sniffing at a minimum. It makes me feel uneasy…"
Daphne nodded in agreement. Not long later, Daphne finally let go and repositioned herself in front of the phone camera. "Now that you've recharged, we're going to get all the ingredients. Luckily, the onis have given us everything we need!"
With that said, Daphne marched over to the nearest pantry, and started rummaging through all its contents.
"This is where all the tatoes are, so we'll be needing that. Oh, appas could go well with this. Mmm~ There's even some fresh coff in here too!"
In short, Daphne just took everything from a pantry and gathered it all in one pile. Daphne looked at the camera with a confident look and gestured to the mountain of food she gathered.
"This is a little on the low side but this will do. Now, we need to mix it all up. We'll be using this thing for that!" After saying that, Daphne opened her mouth wide and fished her hand inside. After some digging, she pulled out a large chain mace.
Subaru widened his eyes and pointed at it. "Erm, Daphne? Where did you get that?"
"Oh! This was given to me by one of the onis!"

Several hours earlier…

Roswaal was flying up in midair outside of his manor as Daphne was constantly jumping in the air, trying to catch him. With each jump, she would chomp at the air.
Roswaal was wearing his poker face smile as he watched Daphne try so hard to bite off his legs. "Miss Daphne, are you finished yet by any chance? I need to get inside and finish-"
CHOMP
…
"I'll take that as a no…"
Eventually, a large mace launched at Daphne from nowhere, landing directly in the center of her face. The girl flew back away from Roswaal and lied on her back.
"Lord Roswaal! Are you alright?!" The attacker made themselves known and it was none other than Rem.
Roswaal landed on the ground and faced the maid. "I'm quite alright, my dear Rem. Miss Daphne just wanted to plaaaay~ a little game." The clown lord glanced over at Daphne who currently had a face full of mace. "Why don't you go check if she's ok."
Rem bowed apologetically. "Rem is sorry! Rem didn't mean any disrespect to our gues- Ah?!"
The maid was taken aback as she felt herself getting pulled in by the chain of her weapon. Looking over, she saw Daphne had already eaten it and was slurping the chain like it was a string of spaghetti.
"M-Miss Daphne!" The maid cried out. "Let go! Rem's weapon isn't something to eat!"
Despite her plea, the bottomless pit just ate more and more. Rem had no choice but to abandon her weapon to the depths of Daphne's tummy.

Roswaal sighed. "I'll go have another one made…"

Present…

"Right…" Subaru muttered.
"Anyways!" Daphne announced. "It's time to mix all the ingredients!"
Daphne started bashing the pile of ingredients relentlessly with the saliva covered mace. Each time she slammed the mace down, the pile of ingredients would nearly splash all over the room. Luckily for Subaru, Daphne would somehow catch each and every drop just to place it back in the pile.
In the end, all that was left was a smushed pile of… something that really doesn't look fit for human consumption.
"There!~" Daphne proudly announced. "What we have here is called the 'Everything Surprise'. Since it's made of everything in the kitchen, it's guaranteed to have all the nutrients you need for the day!"
"Um, Daph? I'm pretty sure that isn't safe to eat…"
"What do you mean? Everything added was found in the kitchen so it must be safe!" Daphne scooped up the pile, which mind you was larger than the girl herself, and lifted it over her head. "Here, I'll prove it, Subarun!"
Subaru was left in both shock and horror as Daphne dropped the pile onto herself and managed to fit it all in her mouth and swallowed it all in one go. The fact that she didn't change in size whatsoever was perhaps the scariest part of this situation.
"Daphne…? You did leave some food, right?"
Daphne shook her head. "Nope! It would be very wasteful to not make use of every ingredient after all! This way, every piece would play its part!"

Subaru was at a loss for words. Earlier, he had permission from Ram to make Daphne something to eat and before he knew it, the entire kitchen was cleaned out.
"Ugh… Ram's gonna kill us…"
"That won't be necessary, I'm sure Barusu's death would be more than sufficient."
Subaru nearly jumped to find the very girl in question making her appearance. Ram took a look around, noticing that everything was cleaned out and gave Subaru a deadpan expression.
"When I gave you permission to make Daphne something to eat, I didn't mean to use everything we have. You're really inconsiderate to be testing Lord Roswaal's generosity the way you are, Barusu."
Subaru sighed and looked down in defeat. He really had no idea how to save himself from this one. "E-Eheh… Um… M-My bad…?"

Ram simply gave the boy a cold stare before turning her back on him. "I'll inform lord Roswaal that we're in dire need to make an emergency stop on the nearby village to replenish our supplies. If you value being our guest here, I would suggest you refrain yourself from getting carried away moving forward."
"Yes ma'am…"
Ram clicked her tongue before getting ready to leave. However, before she could, she was stopped as a certain girl tugged at her skirt.
"Miss Oni?"
Ram turned back around and looked down at Daphne. Before she could inquire what the girl wanted, she handed her the saliva covered mace.
"I'm done borrowing this from the other oni. You can give it back to them now."

Ram was left speechless. Subaru too was left speechless. There was just a long awkward silence in the room as neither of the two had no idea what to do next.

As you might have guessed from the title of this chapter, this is just a quick bonus chapter. Think of this as a scene that I forgot to add in the main story.
With that said... I don't really have anything else to add other than this chapter's question.

Actually, I don't really have anything I wanna ask. This doesn't really feel like a real chapter anyways...

Hm... I guess I could explain a head cannon I have as some kind of substitute.
As you know, Daphne helped Flugel by making Shaula. Coincidentally, the tower they reside in is within a desert. Daphne also happened to starve to death in a desert.
I bet you know where I'm going with this.
In short, I believe that after Daphne's failed attempts to solve world hunger, she went into a state of despair and wanted to give up on life. But due to her nature, she couldn't stop herself from eating everything in sight.
Perhaps with the help of the sage, she got what she wanted and finally got put out of her misery.
Also, she didn't seem too keen on the idea of coming back to life and had a fight with Echidna over it...
