Chapter Three: Syndicate Reborn
*Still on the Bullhead, 30 minutes since the last chapter*
The now newly rejoined group had taken the time to lay back and rest, From their current position with Vale it was going to take up to possibly 13 hours just to get there, they had plenty of fuel but it was just the overall distance that was going to be the main problem.
During this time Roman had looked over at Ruby who was leaning against Cinder's shoulder, Cinder was trying to read something on her scroll however was finding it increasingly difficult thanks to the horns on Ruby's head, that kept poking her any time they would move even slightly.
Roman honestly didn't even know what to feel about this.
Cinder was back that's all and good, but Ruby on the other hand… That was a whole other matter altogether.
She was always a nutcase, a psychopathic one nonetheless, however this new style she was wearing wasn't one he would expect her to just bare so… proudly. Honestly him in her shoes he would have cut that damn thing out a long time ago rather then just let it stay, special potential powers be damned.
But that was the difference between him and her… While he chased the glory she chased the power, power and cinder where practically everything this girl cared about, and because of Cinder by proxy them as well, but still… he never expected that her thirst for power and well… Revenge would take her to such a point where she would accept a freaking Grimm into her flesh like that. It kinda made him shiver just how quickly she threw away her humanity all for a bit more power…
Well a bit wouldn't be the best saying more like a massive freaking boost, after all the air around her now feels heavy, Maybe it's just that aura of fear that all grimm can command that was doing it, but roman found himself kinda struggling to look at her, her ashy white pale skin, her horns, and those closed piercing red eyes where everything needed for his very being to shiver at, Grimms are the main enemy of humanity, so maybe thats why hes having such a strong reaction?
Honestly it was just speculation at this point, and rash justification for the events currently present.
Though looking at Cinder he couldn't help but smile as she played with the girl's darker hair, even though she was now a grimm, or part Grimm, Cinder hadn't lost her love for her Girlfriend, if anything it had strengthened their bond, making them closer.
Watching her play with Ruby's hair as the girl groaned happily as she leaned more into her hand, made Roman scoff. He wasn't jealous or anything… He can totally find a relationship like that in the future… He just needed some time, that was all.
Though as he observed them he slowly watched Ruby begin to slide down Cinders shoulder, Cinder hadn't noticed until she felt her GF's head fall and land on her lap, Neo giggled at this as Cinder pulled back from her scroll to chuckle as the Smaller girl snuggled into the older girls lap.
"I spoil you too much sometimes." Said Cinder as she brushed her hand threw the girl's hair once more.
Ruby seemed to really enjoy it because she moved up on her lap before turning fully over as her face layed, well face first into the most upset part of her lap. Cinder blushed a little before rolling her eyes, "Little pervert." She said with some amusement in her voice as she leaned back, putting the scroll down as she tended to her needy sleeping girlfriend.
Neo took a picture with her scroll much to Cinder's annoyance as she went to order Neo to delete it but was stopped when Ruby grew more restless and began to move around more violently, making Cinder quickly return to her.
Roman had a tug of worry pulled at his heart as he leaned forward. "Is she alright?"
Cinder didn't take her eyes off her as she spoke, "yes, this is natural. Ruby suffers from nightmares from her past, though they seem to be steady and calmer compared to what I've normally seen."
"...Are you sure she doesn't need any help or medication?"
"...She doesn't want medication for it, and I'm the only one she'll share these dreams with, so help is covered, but medication. No she'll never want that."
Cinder felt a tug on her shirt, looking back she saw Neo holding her Scroll up with the text. {What caused, or causes these nightmares?} written out for her to read.
"Reason she was with them is…. Well lets just say someone very close to her family took her away and… Tormented her, her entire childhood, forcing her into a hell worse than you could ever imagine. And I hope dearly, and swear to the gods when I someday meet this person. I am going to torture them, im going to burn every ounce, every pound of their flesh off into chard lumps, so they can suffer for just a fraction of what they put my rose petal through. I'll keep them alive until they beg for death and then and only then when they break like the piece of shit that they are will I put my heel through their skull and crush their meaningless life out of this world."
Flames Danced around her amber eyes, the temperature rose expeditiously as neo and roman broke out into a drenched sweat.
Roman quickly waved his hand getting her attention, shelooked up, murder still locked into her eyes as she was protting torture behind those burning eyes of rage and fury, when he had her gaze he spun his hand around as Cinder looked, realized what her powers was doing she calmed them as the duo breathed a sigh of relief.
"I apologize, it's just… A not so happy topic I like to be on…"
"I can understand." Roman has heard some pretty fucked things in his life, but being kidnapped by a friend or potential family member connected to said original family, and then presumably being mistreated or whatever the hell else dark and Insidious things could have happened. Was just something he never heard of, that's just being pure and heartlessly evil. "Makes me infuriated, maybe it's because I'm a professional and have a code to follow but even i find that revolting. If you ever find them boss, let me know. I'd like to give them a few hits as well."
{Same here.} Texted Neo for Cinder to see.
Cinder smiled at her henchmen. "I'll keep this in mind then."
The rest of the journey was spent in Silence as they approached Mistral.
*Thirteen Hours later*
The Bullhead now with Roman and Neo in the cockpit had landed on the outside of Mistral, they made sure they landed in an indiscreet location in order to avoid authorities while they ventured out.
They made there way towards one of the cities nearby, that being the city of Mistral, reason they chose this one was because of the fact that it was the closest to the academy, that being Haven Academy, and also because Roman had come connections to this club-house named "Black Club'', to the general public it was a standard clubhouse that everyone could go too, have a few drinks and so one. However what many who weren't in the crime world were aware of was the massive underground base that was being run by one of Romans former work buddy, aka someone who Roman still very much had the power to cash in a few favors.
They asked if this guy would try to cross them, all Roman had to respond was "If jacky really had the nerve to not pay up, then clearly he has a death wish." After that, he gave Ruby a nod, signaling that she would be the one to put this crime boss down. Which made the young little Grimm psycho smile with a dangerous gleam. Which Cinder found cute, much to the groups (Neo and Romans) confusion and dismay.
However as they got to the main gate Neo worked her magic, she disguised Cinder, herself, Roman and most importantly Ruby in an illusionary appearance to pass through the city without much worry. The guard and Huntsman stationed on duty looked at them and wanted identification, probably as a procession sense Crime rate had drastically increased sense the fall and the department of defense wanted there city to be as safe as humanly possible, so Roman handled it, introducing them as Abby for Neo, Jesica for Cinder, Samantha for Ruby and himself as Jason von els'worth. A name he pulled straight from his ass but when backed by some fake IDS he whipped up not too long ago, they nod and let them through into the inside of the City.
Ruby was just wondering how freaking brain rotten those huntsman and police were to just let them in after a single whip out of an ID, shouldn't they run a background check or at least do anything more than that?
'Do you remember where you're currently at? This isn't Vale, this is the crime capital of Remnant. Of course they wouldn't care because over three fourths of the workforce is corrupt and on some crime lords' payroll.'
After coming to her conclusion she diverged her attention back to her group as they walked down the street with smiles on their faces.
Maybe it was the smell of sweets in the air, the sound of a busy street or the sight of dozens of people but the group's spiritual morale seemed much higher. Then again compared to the wilderness that really isn't actually the kindest thing to people like them, so it was understandable why they felt such a feeling being surrounded by people again.
However she… wasn't exactly stellar herself, her eyes darted from person to person as they walked past them, some looked absolutely shady as could be, and others sweet and innocent. But it didn't matter to her whether they were wearing the cloaks of phantoms or the most adorable of mascot outfits; she was still not alright being around all these people.
Cinder noticed this and shook her head, one of the many things she's had to get used to white being in a relationship with ruby, her distrust towards basically everyone and everything.
Leaning down, Cinder spoke, "Babe, Calm down, you're going to attract attention."
Ruby wanted to protest and knew she would, sighing as she took a deep breath as Cinder's hand brushed against hers. Ruby was confused at first, and kept moving her hand as normal, eventually resulting in Cinder pouting and pinching the girl's check. Which made her jump as she looked up to see what she did wrong. Only to be greeted with a now annoyed Cinder, "Dear, I am trying to hold your hand. So stop moving it."
"Oh…. Ok."
Ruby happily opened her hand, as did Cinder, the two's fingers slowly sliding together interlocking themselves with one another as they felt small smiles spreading across there lips, they enjoyed the feeling of holding one another's hand, it's been far too long since they had, had little moments like theses, and well neither wasn't going to waste this opportunity.
In the Front Roman glazed back before rolling his eyes, for their reputation you would never expect the blood red rose and queen of flames to be acting like highschoolers, then again life is short and theses two where as crazy as they are psycho for one another, so it was in his best interest to let the love birds catch up so he doesnt get found in an alleyway burned and diced to pieces.
Neo beside him smirked as she looked back, seeing Cinder and Ruby talk about their time away from one another was amusing and interesting to watch, and definitely didn't give her plenty of material to tease the two of them later, after they get their base operated and online.
Though roman just sighed, the reason his boss telling her GF (for the fifth time now keep in mind), how much she missed her as she was within Beacon as an undercover agent, and it made his eyebrow twitch.
'Just get married at this point, you two are made for one another, i'll even steal the ring and give it to you if i must.'
Neo, using her secret second semblance to read Romans mind, bonked him on the head with her umbrella making him playfully glare at her.
"Can't really get anything passed ya, Huh Neo."
{Nope}
"Figured…..But seriously those two need to get married, they already act like a married couple, might as well make it official."
Neo puffed air and hit him again.
{It needs to be a special time, not during a time where we'll be busy for the foreseeable future.}
Roman read that and then looked at Ruby and Cinder, then back at Neo.
"Are you sure about that?"
{Yes, yes i am :)}
"Really, did you have to use the smiley face?"
Neo pouted and bonked him again making Roman scream.
Ruby and Cinder were broken out of their own little world as they saw Neo and Roman play arguing back and forth with each other making a lot of people around them confused and looking at them.
Ruby and Cinder just sweatdropped as they looked at their henchmen.
"Professionals… huh." Was all ruby said looking at the duo.
"Yes, unfortunately these are Professionals… as strange as that sounds." Cinder doubled down on Ruby's claim.
"... Lets just find this damn club already."
"Agreed, Roman, neo, stop. Let's get to where we need to be."
Roman pulled back and nodded, "Alright boss, I shall lead the way." he spun his can flamboyantly as he walked off with a smug stride in his step.
'This is going to be a very long day.' Both Cinder and Ruby thought together.
*Twenty minutes later*
After a very long walk they had arrived the outside wasn't anything special, marble white pillars held up the extended and gilded gold decorated roof, the overall outside was very squared in shape, with plenty of stained window panes painted around the outside of the body, the massive difference though compared to most clubs was the sign, it was a massive white club card with the black of said club. Instead being replaced for various different gems that sharkled in the radiant setting sun.
Ruby felt tacky looking at that thing, but after hearing someone yell before a gun was drawn and four different shots went off she found herself grinning.
One by one the members that were in the line with serpent tattoos all pulled out there own guns to follow in their leader, and soon a total shootout was happening.
Cinder, Roman and Neo just stood there unimpressed while Ruby's hands went towards the massive stored scythe upon her back.
Grabbing it she activated it, the gears and metal sprung to life with a violence never before seen by many of the surrounding scared civilians, crimson metal bent and slide into place, the sounds of gears and bolts stringing to existence as there mechanical purpose ignited, soon a massive pearly white scythe blade extended, curving down towards the ground like the blade of the reaper.
"Ruby babe."
"Yes baby?"
"Don't get too stained, I'd rather not get blood on me when I kiss you tonight."
Ruby happily hummed at that promise. "I'll be sure to make it out spotless then, babe."
Cinder smiled as Ruby went forward.
She took the first step, and counted fifteen different members that bore the serpent tattoo.
She took a second step, she mapped out the surroundings, cards, rails, the parking lot twenty feet from here, and best of all the fountains around them.
Then the last step, with this she came to a hold and held herself still, watching as bullets were traded she slowly crouched down, her left leg bend out and back, said foot upon the leg arched up, crunching as she got into the position of an Olympic sprinter preparing to take off.
And then a single empty shell fell, the metal casing once filled with malicious intent dropped as a sharp metal ring echoed, and this would be her trigger.
With that ping she vanished. Black rose petals burst from her form as a black storm of raging petals stormed the battlefield making all freeze in their tracks! Confusion soon gang out, screamed where heard but this didn't stop the reaper, she would trap her prey toy with them, and then end their lives once they knew terror, and it was working soon panic began to spill from there forms very pours they began to diverge their fire from the club, to the now tornado of raging black shadows! But as much as they tried to destroy the eye blocking petals, they're view of the outside world only worsened, as the petals they destroyed returned with a vengeance unlike anything they have seen! The storm worsened on the outside a living cyclone had formed, Ruby's speed had bent the very laws of mother nature into a twisted fury!
She had created a living storm, A storm that trapped the serpents hand within, and no matter how hard they tried being to shoot or force there way out, they were left with only failure, anger was born in there defeats, it poured from there open mouths with screams of promises of slaughter but there attempts to terrify her had instead set the Reaper to its hunting mode.
An erie giggle was heard, the sound reverberated through the storm as the sound bounced off all the petals making it impossible to tell where the voice actually was from…
Which was where the first of them fell…
They hadn't known what happened, but soon the leader fell to his knees grasping his throat, blood poured from his opened wound, screams where had as they tried to get to him to help…
But that was a mistake, Ruby used him as bait.
A flash faster than they could see zipped by, a burst of wind slammed into their face and pushed them back, those who could recover were met with the sight of their second in command's head free falling.
It landed making a thud as it did, his eyes were rolled back, his mouth agape in horror, the essence of his terror was carved into his flesh, and his head soon rolled, and was consumed by the storm.
And soon one by one, they were picking off those that had their aura taking too many attacks, but Ruby played with them, as their numbers… dwindled.
On the outside people could see only a blur then the sounds of terror, Cinder had a smile listening to her love handle works and she couldn't deny it was rather soothing to hear.
At this point Roman and Neo had somehow gotten drinks and listened, Neo enjoyed it with all her sadistic enjoyment while Roman couldn't bother to give a shit.
Soon enough however the tempest subsided and Ruby was revealed, members of the club shakingly raised their weapons trying to seem strong, but seeing the blood, limbs and dismembered heads carved with terror upon their face made them drop their weapons.
They where promised crime lords at best, not the fucking Grimm Reaper.
Though it looked like Ruby kept one alive, if only by a miracle, because the girl was bleeding all over the place. And looked dead.
Roman, though seeing the opportunity to get an audience, presented himself. He fixed his suit and had a fake cough getting everyone's attention as he stepped up front and center. "Soooo boys, want to let us in? Because my glass needs a refill and I'm not sure you want to deal with our little reaper here, unless well you do, in which case you must have a death wish but come on gentlemen, I'm sure we have had our fill at the sight of blood. Let's just go into business and enjoy ourselves."
They wanted to ask further who these four were but when Ruby lifted Crescent Rose and pointed it at them they flinched. "If you don't let us in, I swear, what I'll do to you will make what I did to these nobody's look like a charity case. Now beat it."
The men parted the way like Moses parting the red sea, Cinder and Neo caught up with Roman and Ruby as they where allowed inside.
Cinder however gave Ruby a light slap on the ass making her jump slightly as she just smirked.
"Someone was excited, you sure did take your sweet time with them, and from the look of her." She looked at the bloody girl. "You used my technique. I'm impressed Ruby, and I'm glad you finally got a chance to let off some steam."
"Thanks Cindy, and ya it was nice after so much bullshit, haven't been able to let out my stress and anger in a hot second. However, I want that kiss later tonight as well."
Cinder couldn't help but giggle a little. "Don't worry, we'll make up for lost time in do time babe, as of now let's just get a move on. Work isn't going to solve itself."
"Ya… I know."
Cinder just rolled her eyes, she caught that drop of impatience she had in her words.
'Gods above what am I going to do with you…'
Shaking her head she returned her eyes ahead of her when she saw armed individuals walking up to them.
He was a large gruff man, easily over six foot, well built, and a glint of danger in his eye.
"Are these the guesses for the boss?" He spoke with a thick heavy Russian-like accent.
"Yup, and watch it, it's them.'' The man who heard them inside said, Cinder saw the man's eyes widen as he straightened himself up and gave a salute to Cinder.
"I was not made aware that the boss of the Syndicate was here… Please accept my deepest apologies."
"It's quite alright." Cinder spoke, going behind Ruby as she guided her hands up the girl's arm before resting them on her shoulders. "However, imagine my surprise when we arrived and your own guards for this establishment were unable to deal with fifteen nobody's who barely had any Aura to them." The man felt his throat being constricted by her glowing amber eyes, he watched as those same hands that danced with fire slithered down and around Ruby's arms, pulling herself and the girl closer. "Making my dear girlfriend risk staining herself with there putrid bodily fluids.'' The air in the man's lungs began to burn as he was going to try and reach for his weapon when he noticed the smaller girl's eyes flicker from silver to a beastly crimson, as pale white horns appeared and snow white skin that reflected every soul she's taken. "Could you imagine that? Seeing such a poor order that you can't even protect your own front against insults to criminals like them. Makes me wonder if you are in need of new management…"
At that, weapons were drawn, the gruff man held a pistol to Cinder, Cinder a glass blade to his throat that was ignited in flames, while the guards were stopped as black petals fell all around them like the burned ashes of hopes and dreams of the forgotten.
Neo had the man who led them inside pinned to the floor, while Roman finished off his glass and pointed his cane at the back of the gruff man's skull, pinning him on both sides.
"Got to say you're all lacking something, maybe its backbone, conviction, or brains but jacky most definitely fell off the senses if you the guys on his payroll, like come on now. How stupid do you all have to be to pull weapons for a miner insult? And my guy you do realize just a moment ago you were acting all nice and stuff to the boss, now you wanna pull a gun on her? What's up with that? You all surely know of us, so why are you all trying to get a close casket funeral?"
"Because." The man spoke once more with his thick russian accent attacking their ears. "You all aren't Criminals, your monsters, playing nice and sweet can only get you so far with a group like you. We know about you, we know you had a hand in the destruction of Beacon which has thrown Vale into disarray, you have shattered every connection the boss has there, and killed thousands of our men stationed there. Only reason we even stand on somewhat even ground now is because you have "helped" with your little assassin there." The man glared at Ruby who just rolled her eyes. "But make no mistake, we are not friends, we-"
"Well this was a massive waste of Time." Cinder spoke out loud with Neo, Roman and Ruby picking up on that. "You weren't leading us to your boss, this whole thing was an ambush wasn't it."
The man's eyes widened, "H-how did you know?"
"This is a club and yet there's no music and a lot of unnecessary guards here for just an entrance way, not to mention you said it yourself we killed thousands of you men, why would you show us gratitude by taking us inside the club because what, Ruby killed Fifteen little flees. So logically sense we're your biggest threat and probably knew romans connection to your boss, set this up so you all could pin us, and get "revenge" for your worthless friends deaths. But you forgot something in your plan."
"And what's that? There are over two hundred of us and only four of you, we will win threw numbers alone. There is no changing the outcome, even with you and your demon pet W-!"
"Did you just call Ruby my pet?"
Ruby's and Cinders death stair could have vanquished an immortal from its intensity.
"The only pet I see is an old, ugly bastard who seems like he's lived through too many wars for his own good… so you know what, Roman."
"Yes boss?"
"Plan B, Take over threw force."
Before the man could retaliate, Roman blasted him in the back of the head with a concussive round from his weapon Melodic Cudgel, the man's ears rang with absolute agony before his form was scorched and sent flying down the hallway, threw the door and outside the club.
The gang members behind them shouted to move in but they were already dead as far as Cinder was concerned, they were Ruby's targets after all.
"Babe, don't take too long out here with the guards."
"I won't, and then after this i want a drink."
Cinder gave an agreeing smile as she roman and neo advanced into the club as Ruby turned her head to see dozens upon dozens of armed thugs aiming at her.
Ruby smiled in excitement seeing all the new weapons she was going to be taking and adding to the collection, with excitement planted and taken root she walked forward much to there horror sense you know you have to be completely batshit crazy to rush an armed force this big solo.
But unfortunately this wasn't any normal highschool girl, because as the first of their barrels ignited and the bullet flew, said individual was sent hurtling into the crowd of men and women like a bowling ball to pins by just a single hit from her powered up legs.
Now more readily than ever she wanted them to look her as her true self, so she dismissed Neos illusion and the entire group found there legs and arms no longer working,
The fear that was in the air was intoxicating to the girl, there negative auras filled her bloodlust more than it has ever been in her life, Her crimson eyes scanned face to face, seeing there mouths contorted into quivering peckers that where one great instruments of boating, was something she found very amusing, and very very pleasing.
"She's a monster…"
"WORST SHES A GRIMM FREAK! QUICK EVERYONE KILL THE ABOMINATION!!"
Ruby gave no cheesy one liner or anything like that, she just charged the group, transforming into a speaking black missile that dodged every bullet sent her way, before slamming into the group knocking them tens to dozens of feet back.
Oh ya, she was going to enjoy this~.
*With Roman, Cinder and Neo*
There fight thru the club wasn't a walk in the part as they originally presumed it to be, one Cinders part ya because she's using that brand spanking magic power she got from that so called maiden thing which roman still found unbelievable but seeing her generate a massive gust of wind before carpet bombing them in enough fire power for it to be considered a war crime, oh ya he started believing it.
But ob his and Neos side ahhhh well they weren't a grimm assassin supersoldier boss/badbitch like Ruby, nor a magic wielding crime lord boss/badbitch like Cinder, so Roman and Neo where behind a bullet proof bar, ya i know surprised them as well, looks like the black clubs knew what to protect and what not to, though joking aside they were kinda pinned down because there was at least thirteen guys or ladies, (kinda hard to tell gender when your being shot at), currently lighting there position up, however Roman was a man with a plan…
"Got any 2's?"
{Goldfish}
"FUCK!" Roman took a shot.
"YOU HEAR THAT WE ALMOST GOT THEM! KEEP FIRING!"
"ALRIGHT BOSS!"
"Cant believe that actually worked, also screw you Neo, you had, a two."
The girl giggled as Roman rolled his eyes. 'Now for the fireworks.' he thought as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigar and six large fire dust crystals. "Hey Neo."
{Yes Roman?}
"Think you can get me close and unseen by those assholes?'
The smallest member of the group nod her head with confidence making Roman smile, Neo weaved and illusion over the entire room making them see her and Roman try and make a break for it, of course this caught their attention and they fired at the illusionary duo which doughed to make it more believable but they were caught in the fire and "died".
They cheered as they went to turn to Cinder next, but stopped when the room broke into glass, and well everything was the same, but the smell of dust was in the air.
They looked down and saw a crimson line of Dust leading to Roman who was sitting on a chair that had half its legs over the rail and the other half in front.
"Good Evening gentlemen now for all the bullets you gave, a gift in return." He lit his Cigar and took a puff of it, before tossing it. "Ta ta." He said while in slow motion everyone tried to run but the light Cigar was already too far down.
Roman in the meanwhile before it could land leaned back, His chair soon had all its mass pushed on its back legs which were held up by nothing making him fall down towards the first floor however Roman in the pure art of showmanship performed a stunning act. With the momentum he flipped out of the chair, doing a backflip mid-air as he landed on his feet the chair a few inches away and for the final act, Turned his back and held his arms out as a massive explosion rocked the entire second floor of the club, destroying everything.
He heard clapping, turning he saw Neo hold up a sign with a "10" written on it while she proceeded to stomp the girl she was fighting head into the ground, before kicking her over and taking her umbrella blade and stabbing her through her right eye. Before giving it a nice twist.
"Fatality, Flawless victory, Neo wins!"
The girl kicked up her leg and did a little dance signaling her Victory.
Meanwhile on Cinders part she had started getting a tingling feeling throughout her body her magic had become easier to use but still taxing.
However she had found a way to swap elements which was a surprise because she only assumed that the Fall maiden could only command fire but nope, she had access to all the elements of fall apparently, wind, lightning, fire, water and earth to an extent, she wasn't sure about water and ice but as of now she was mainly using fire, lightning, and wind.
Fire felt the most natural with lightning being a more powerful but harder to control version of it, however wind… ya she just used it to see how shit would end up nine times out of ten,
However as of now she was surrounded but not out of options, before they could get there fingers to the trigger she shoot a beam of lightning from her fingertips into the closest one, it blasted a hole straight through his shoulder, his weak aura be damned, before breaking off into smaller bolts that traveled between them all frying them from the inside by boiling there blood.
When they all fell and landed with a thud, she turned her attention back to her little group. She was going to ask how their fight went when the door came crashing open and the figure of the massive Russian came to sight.
He slammed into a table as they turned their head to the horror seen before them, the entire hallway was cut to hell, deep slashes with red splattered all over, the once working lights were now flickering, the rapid turn from light to dark, and dark to light was enough to set off alarms even in their heads, however the gentle tapping of footsteps were heard, and a light, irritable humming came to be, as a figure was walking towards them.
The lights flickered off, and even with no light to view their moving body, they could see the being's crimson eyes glare at the Russian from the Darkness.
Soon the lights turned back on, and her body body could be seen, parts of her clothes where ripped exposing more skin then before, however what should be noted was that stains of black pererated the remaining clothes she wore, however there were no injuries, it was like where those wounds should be was already healed, either by her aura, magic, or maybe the scarab Cinder didn't know however Ruby was fine and that was all that matters, sense she did face the majority of them
Then the lights flickered off, this was the time the opponent she was facing tried to get up, and he succeeded for all of eight seconds, because while he was on right knee bloody and clearly out of fighting spirit, a flying object flew out of the shadow and straight towards the man's head. This flying object was none other than Ruby's seven foot tall scythe, Crescent rose.
The blade flew in quick rotations only to stop when the tip of the Scythes blade punctured his skull as the rest of the energy pushed the scythe deeper, overall, all of Cresents rose blade was thrown this man's skull practically splitting his head in two.
The pissed off rose walked over to his dead corpse and ripped out the Scythe as she used a napkin she picked up to wipe her precious weapon clean.
Roman whistled impressed this small 5 '7 girl could throw that monstrous weapon that far and that accurately to where it was a perfect bullseye, but that's there Ruby, a marksman in sniping and scythe throwing apparently.
Now that everyone was together they once more followed Roman up the flight of stairs and towards an office, to which he kicked the door down as there in front of them a black haired, more on the obese side of the weight spectrum male sat in a small ass chair before them.
"Good god jacky you really let yourself go, then gain this entire place is going to shit, so how about i cash that favor of ours and just take all this away from your grubby little failure hands, how does that sound."
He tried to plead but both Ruby and Cinder slashed at him, dropping him dead on the spot.
Roman now clapped his hands together. "Sooooooo, now we have our future base now, it does need some remodeling and also some clean up but once the rest of our supplies arrive we'll be ready to go boss."
"Good, I'll see to it that our supplies haven't been tampered with, meanwhile Roman, Neo when Emerald and Mercury arrive. I want you four to go pull some strings and favors, get us one hundred present as fast as possible, but no oversights, and no risky moves as of right now. We just need this kingdom to know where in town and that they will sooner submit or be extinguished."
"Then let me handle that, i'll spread our name around and get the authorities and underworld scared, this way, they won't bother messing with our operations any time soon, it's clear people already know we're here, no need to try and stay too quiet about things."

Neo and Roman cheered while Ruby smiled and walked over to Cinder, the taller girl smiled and leaned down as she and Ruby's lips met, they hungrily dove deeper before they pulled away before things got too spicy.

"Yes, yes we are Ruby."
"Hm, can i get another kiss to celebrate the occasion?"
Cinder Rolled her eyes as she gave Ruby what she and herself have been secretly wanting before pulling back and taking a look at this place.
They had their work cut out for them.
