I do not own Avengers or any of the characters. That all belongs to Disney and the talented late Stan Lee. I only own my OC, her parents and other characters I make up along the way.

Chapter 16: Family Reunion
Rosalie scowled irritatedly as she continued staring at her appearance in the mirror of her apartment.
One minute she was looking through the attic of her deceased father's apartment and finds a strange sword among his belongings.
Not long after a few minutes, she learned the sword was somehow magical and now she was dressed like she was some female warrior from Asgard.
Mr Lancelot let out a meow, earning Rosalie's attention.
"I know, Mr Lancelot. This is so weird."Rosalie retorted as she touched the circlet that she wore."I don't what to do. I wish I can go back the way I was before."
Suddenly, gold light engulfed around Rosalie and found herself back in her normal attire.
"Awesome."Rosalie retorted sarcastically."Now I am back to normal."
Rosalie placed on an oven glove to pick up the sword and placed it back on its sheath.
Once the sword was secured, the part-time historian placed it near the small sofa chair.
"I am going outside for some fresh air, Mr Lancelot."Rosalie declared as she picked up her bag."See you later."
After putting on her coat, Rosalie left her father's apartment and locked the door.
Oslo's location gave the city natural qualities you may not expect from a capital within the city limits you can go skiing, swimming and kayaking as well as make excursions to picturesque islands.
You can go swimming in the middle of the centre – at Tjuvholmen pedestrian area, as well as the Sørenga, at the far end of the waterfront.
In winter it was a common sight to see people carrying skis on the tube and the trams, on their way to the skiing trails.
It stopped raining, but the weather was still a little chilly.
Rosalie walked for several minutes around town before stopping at the bridge near the spectacular Astrup Fearnley Art Museum.
However, she was lost at what occurred to her.
Why was an Asgardian sword in her father's attic?
Why did it gave her powers when she first wielded?
The more questions Rosalie asked herself, the more confused she was.
Suddenly, the sound of thunder rumbling in the sky snapped Rosalie out of hey thoughts.
After a minute, it stopped.
Rosalie looked to her left side and caught sight of Thor standing there looking at her.
Surprised to see the God of Thunder, the part-time historian walked up to him.
"Thor?"Rosalie said in confusion."What are you doing here?"
"Hello again, Lady Rosalie."Thor greeted with a friendly smile."I actually came to look for someone important to me."
"Jane? I'm sorry to tell you, but you've landed in the wrong place."Rosalie admitted."She's in London. This is Norway."
Thor shook his head.
"As much as I want to see Jane again, I'm afraid that will have to come another time."Thor declared."I'm here to look for my younger sister."
An astonished look appeared on Rosalie's face.
"Your sister?"Rosalie questioned and smirked."I don't recall you ever mentioning having one since I only read that Loki was the only sibling you got. No matter if his annoyance is in the highest level."
Thor chuckled at Rosalie's respond.
"Nay, Lady Rosalie. It turns out my younger sister had been living in Midgard, but was reincarnated to live among mortals to be protected from enemies of Asgard many years ago."Thor admitted."Perhaps, the Avengers could be of help in my quest?"
"Yeah, that's not possible."Rosalie admitted simply."The Avengers have went their separate ways since the events in New York. I am the only here."
"I see."Thor responded.
"So what's your sister's name?"Rosalie asked.
"Her name is Emeryn."Thor admitted."I was told by my mother that she has awaken after wielding Xiphos, the Sword of the Stars."
Rosalie's eyes widen in shock at Thor's declaration and became utterly silent.
The sword.
The very sword that she found in the attic of her father's apartment and gave her an outfit of a female Asgardian warrior from the moment she wielded it.
That weapon belonged to Thor's younger sister.
But what has to do with her?
"Are you alright, Lady Rosalie?"Thor asked.
"Of course. Totally."Rosalie answered, covering her shock."You know about this sword that your sister wielded. Did it happen to have a light blue blade with gold markings running down it?"
"Yes. Indeed."Thor agreed, surprised and amazed that Rosalie knew the design on the sword that belonged to his long lost younger sister."Have you seen it?"
Rosalie let out an awkward chuckle.
"Interesting to say, I…I was the one who found and wielded it."Rosalie admitted.
There was a deadly silent for a moment before Thor let out a joyous laugh and gave Rosalie a rather big hug.
"Lady Rosalie! It is you!"Thor laughed, hugging the shocked and confused part-time historian."Your Emeryn! My sister!"
Rosalie struggled to breathe a bit from Thor's hug that was sort of bone crushing.
"Thor."Rosalie spoke up, struggling to breathe a little."Can't breath."
Thor then stopped hugging Rosalie and released her, making the part-time historian regain her breath.
"My apologises."Thor apologised with a smile."I am so overjoyed that the sister I thought I lost was actually alive and one of the people that helped me be worthy of Mjølnir again."
Rosalie immediately put her hand up in defence.
"Thor, this is what I'm confused about."Rosalie declared with a small frown."How can I possibly be your sister. I am just a 24 year old human being and you're what? Thousands of years old."
Thor used his free hand to place a comforting hand on Rosalise's shoulder.
"You'll have the answers to your questions if I take you to Asgard, Lady Rosalie."Thor assured.
"I…I can't go to Asgard with you, Thor."Rosalie answered."I don't belong there. I'm a Midgardian."
"If you wielded Xiphos and unleashed its powers, it proves you are not an ordinary mortal."Thor stated."Don't you remember you told me that you wanted to visit Asgard and meet my family when we first met?"
Rosalie blushed and looked down in embarrassment.
"I acted like a total fan girl in New Mexico if I remember."Rosalie murmured.
"Now you have the opportunity to complete your lifetime research."Thor remarked with a warm smile."Please say, you'll come."
Rosalie became quiet, not knowing what to say.
But after the craziness that occurred on this day, she knew she needed answers to the questions pinned within her head.
A sigh then escaped Rosalie's mouth.
"Alright, Thor. I'll come with you to Asgard."Rosalie declared."But first let me get the sword from my apartment."
Thor nodded in approval.
"As you wish."Thor replied.
Rosalie was lost for words as she was shot up into the stream of light at an alarming speed alongside Thor.
The Bifröst.
The dimensional energy which allowed instantaneous travel within the Nine Realms.
It was the only thing that could explain the flash of colours, the alarming speed, and the feeling of being catapulted across the galaxy probably because she was actually being catapulted across the galaxy.
Rosalie wouldn't doubt it.
It felt amazing and scary at the same time.
Rosalie was suddenly forced onto her feet as she landed on the ground.
She gripped onto Thor's arm as he tried to help steady her.
He watched her as she looked around them with wide eyes filled with amazement.
Everything seemed to click all at once and she looked to Thor.
"Is this-?"Rosalie asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Thor nodded. "Asgard."
Rosalie nodded back and looked around again, this time almost in tears.
She'd always wanted to see Asgard and now that she was seeing it, Rosalie couldn't believe it!
She continued to look around before her eyes landed on Heimdall standing in the center of the room with a giant sword.
Her grin widened and she was practically shaking from excitement.
"Oh my gosh. And you're Heimdall, aren't you?"Rosalie asked in a rushed voice due to being so excited and nervous that she couldn't stop herself."Wow! I'm a big fan!"
Heimdall titled his head as he looked at the girl in amusement.
The words he said next were ones that Rosalie never thought she would hear.
"Welcome to Asgard, Rosalie Breisgau."Heimdall declared.
Rosalie nodded at Heimdall before taking a few more steps in the Observatory to look the view outside.
There beyond the Rainbow Bridge was Asgard; the home to the Asgardians.
The sky glimmered weakly with this gold laced through the deep velvet sky and the stars shone like small diamonds among it.
She had never seen a real view of the city of Asgard before.
Just the ones from the books her father read to her.
It was truly an astonishing sight.
"It's…it's beautiful."Rosalie murmured in amazement.
Thor walked over to Rosalie and smiled at her.
"Are you ready to see the palace?"Thor asked.
Rosalie grinned in pure delight.
"Yes, please."Rosalie insisted, unable to contain het excitement.
A maid headed into Frigga's chamber and bowed at the Queen of Asgard.
"Your Majesty."the maid responded."Prince Thor has returned."
Various feelings grew within Frigga at the maid's declaration.
If Thor had returned back to the Royal Palace, it also meant another thing.
He found his sister.
Her daughter.
Frigga brought her attention to the maid.
"Tell my son, I'll be coming."Frigga instructed.
Rosalie couldn't contain her excitement as she looked around the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf.
It contained many bedrooms, chambers, and corridors as well as other rooms. It contains Odin's throne room, the Hlidskjalf. Below it laid the Asgardian Dungeons.
Thor smiled as he watched Rosalie's eyes scan every part of the palace.
"I take the books you read didn't mention the wonders of the royal palace?"Thor assumed.
"Not that much."Rosalie responded."Though I read that Hlidskjalf is actually one of King Odin's Halls, a great dwelling built and roofed with pure silver."
"There is actually more gold than silver here."Thor chuckled.
Rosalie smirked. "I can see that."
As Rosalie went to touch a nearby wall to feel its texture, a maid (the one that had been speaking to Frigga) went over to Thor and bowed at him.
"Your Majesty, the All-Mother is waiting."the maid whispered.
Thor nodded and brought his attention to Rosalie.
"Rosalie, would you like to see the palace's garden?"Thor suggested.
"Sure."Rosalie answered with a nod.
Thor led Rosalie to the palace's garden, only for the part-time historian to be amazed by the sight before her.
The warm rays of sunlight came cascading down from the sky.
The birds were singing and a soft wind ruffled through the leaves of the trees.
There were also pretty small purplish white flowers that bloomed from some of the trees while some of their petals gently fell down.
Rosalie went to touch one of the tree, only to laugh lightly when a few of the flower petals fell on her hair.
The sound of the footsteps that belonged to someone approaching, earned Thor and Rosalie's attention causing the two of them to see Frigga arriving.
Thor smiled in silence upon noticing Frigga's eyes directly looking at Rosalie, making him back away carefully to give them space.
Rosalie held her breath as the Queen of Asgard walked over to her.
She wanted to say 'Hello', but decided to remain quiet as Frigga looked at her.
Frigga then lifted her hands to gently cradle Rosalie's face and her eyes scanned every inch of her face.
The colour of her eyes, the shape of her nose, eyes, mouth and chin.
Even the smile that was on her lips.
The Queen of Asgard saw some of herself in there and she saw some of her husband.
Rosalie was a beautiful mixture of both, taking each of their strongest features and bringing them together to create, in Frigga's eyes, the perfect being.
A strangled sort of whimper bubbled out of Frigga's throat and Rosalie's brow furrowed in concern.
Frigga shook her head softly, gently caressing her thumbs across Rosalie's cheeks.
"You're so beautiful."Frigga whispered with another sob."My daughter...you're beautiful."
Frigga dropped her hands to pull Rosalie in again and Rosalie fought back a small sob of her own.
The part-time historian suddenly felt a strange yet warm comforting feeling growing inside her as she embraced Frigga back.
It felt new and nostalgic at the same time.
A mother's love, desperation and relief.
Suddenly, upon remembering the visions she had been having caused something to dawn on her.
Frigga Freyrdottir, the All-Mother and Queen of Asgard, was really her mother.
The very first woman to give birth to her.
Over her past mother's shoulder, Rosalie caught sight of her other past parent, standing there, Odin; the All-Father and King of Asgard.
Rosalie gave Frigga one last tight squeeze and then almost reluctantly released her.
Frigga seemed a little dejected and confused as her daughter left her arms.
But as Rosalie cast a warm smile at Frigga and then moved past her heading in the direction of her husband, the All-Mother's smile returned.
Odin took a few slow steps forward as Rosalie came near and both paused with a short distance between them.
Then the King of Asgard slowly lifted his hand to brush a strand of Rosalie's auburn red balayage brown hair away from her face, tucking it softly behind her ear.
"Your mother is right."Odin declared, the back of his knuckles trailed ever so lightly across Rosalie's cheek and sent shivers down her spine before he cupped her face gently."You are beautiful."
Odin brought his other hand to rest lightly over Rosalie's shoulder, pulling himself toward her and pressing a tender kiss to her forehead, closing his eyes as a single tear rolled down his cheek from his only remaining eye.
Rosalie took a step forward and wound her arms around Odin tightly.
It took less than a second for him to respond and wrapped his arms around her, crushing her against his chest.
She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, taking in the scent that she thought every daughter should know by heart and somehow, even though she knew it had to be impossible, it was a scent she recognised as if she'd been there before, cradled against his chest.
The moment that Rosalie wrapped her arms around Odin, the breath completely left his chest.
The All-Father almost couldn't believe it was real, just minutes ago he was holding his daughter, the sweet baby who he held his last thoughts before he thought he was lost and wasn't going to see again.
His hand slid up her back to cradle the back of her head gently just as he had when he took her from Rosalie's arms.
She was no longer that baby, she was a fully grown woman but to him, that didn't matter.
She was his daughter and whether she was an hour old or twenty four old, the love he felt for her would always be there.
Odin's only revealing eye fluttered open and saw his wife standing several feet away now with Thor beside her.
The All-Father then released Rosalie, so that Thor could get a chance to hug his long lost younger sister.
Thor hugged Rosalie in a strong yet calm embrace unlike the one before, making her do the same thing.
After the hug, Rosalie brought her attention to Odin and Frigga.
"Okay, um…I am overwhelmed with joy that I've finally met you both."Rosalie declared, trying to be careful with her words as she removed the sword attached on her belt."But I am actually confused. I've lived for 24 years on Earth as a simple mortal and then I actually learn I am your long lost daughter after unleashing this sword's power."
"We sent you to Midgard to protect you, dear."Frigga admitted.
"But I could've been with you all from the beginning."Rosalie informed with a hurtful look.
"The time you were born, there have been enemies of Asgard with big grudges towards our family, my child."Odin declared."We couldn't afford losing you for the second time."
Rosalie was quiet for a moment.
"You did it for good intentions. I understand that."Rosalie replied."But it doesn't change the fact that for my entire life I've actually been in a place that I didn't really belong. I've dedicated my whole life on studying the Nine Realms and I usually been treated as a laughing stock from others because I believed you all to be real."
Thor placed a comforting hand on Rosalie's shoulder.
"And you proved to be correct in believing in our existence when I was first exiled to Earth to become worthy of wielding Mjølnir again."Thor remarked.
Frigga placed her hands on Rosalie's cheeks.
"And look now, Emeryn."Frigga laughed gently."We are officially together again."
Rosalie blushed in embarrassment.
"Actually, mother."Rosalie spoke up, feeling a little strange of calling the Queen of Asgard her mother."I go by the name 'Rosalie Breisgau' on Earth."
"Emeryn Odinsdottir is your real name, my daughter."Odin stated in a soft yet firm tone."A member of the Royal Asgardian Family. Also, the Princess of Asgard."
An astonished look appeared on Rosalie's face.
"Whoa."Rosalie responded, utterly lost for words."That is actually something I have to sink in."
Thor let out a chuckle as Frigga placed a kiss on Rosalie's forehead.
Loki smirked as he looked through the touching sight in his wine filled goblet.
Odin may have prisoned him for life, but the God of Mischief still had his powers.
All this time, Rosalie Breisgau was actually the reincarnation of Emeryn Odinsdottir.
Asgard's princess and Odin's second born, who they all thought to be dead.
No wonder he felt a strong connection with her when he first saw that gold light appearing in her chest.
A smug look appeared on Loki's face as he watched Rosalie appearing to still be a little shocked upon knowing her real identity.
Fate really had a sense of humour.
Yet, he wondered how Rosalie will cope with it.
Rosalie is now in Asgard and have met her past parents.
But what will happen next?
See you all in the next chapter and have a wonderful day!
