Chapter 1: The Summoning

In an area of darkness there was a young man who was named Yuichi Sato. He looked like he was in his teenage years. He had medium length black hair that reached the bottom of the ear and piercing sharp blue eyes. His height was about 170 cm. His body appeared to be slim yet a bit muscular at the same time. He wore a black cloak, and his hood was down. Underneath the cape he had what looked like black medieval shirt and pants except his clothing appeared to be dirty and damaged. All in all, he appeared to be handsome. However, he was looking terrified and in pain. His eyes looked like he was afraid that there was no hope for what would happen next.

"Why is this happening?!" The Teenager shouted "What the hell did I ever do wrong to get here?!"

These words were echoed by Yuichi Sato, who was trapped in what could be described as hell. Everything was dark and there was the sound of monsters fighting each other around the area. The pain of being here was unbearable and he wished it was just a nightmare that he could wake up from. However, the pain he is currently feeling easily told him that it was no dream, and it was happening in reality.

"I don't understand why this happened?! All I did was do something good! Why the fuck did this have to happen?! Why am I going through torture again!?"

Flashback

On a cold night, there were police cars gathered around a certain area. The area was an apartment building that looked too cheap to live in. Each had only one bedroom. The kitchen and living room were combined as one. All in all, those apartments had small rooms that could barely fit two people to live in. The sound of the police being outside many people went outside their homes to see what was going on. The police were dragging two people with them. The two people that were being dragged were a man and a woman. The man looked like he was middle aged. He had really short white colored hair and blood shot black eyes. His face had a beard that looked like it was shaved short. He was dressed in a tank top and sweatpants. Overall, people would say he looked like a drug dealer. The woman looked like she was younger. She had black shoulder length hair and blue eyes. Her face was clean minus the bags in her eyes that were from not sleeping enough. She was dressed in a white shirt and black jeans. These two were screaming a lot as they were being dragged by the police.

"Let me go! Let me the fuck go!' The Man said with panic "What do you have against us?!"

"Please we're innocent!" The woman said equally panicked "Just let us go because we are parents of a properly raised family!"

Many onlookers were taking photos or even recording the whole scene that was taking place in the area. Among the onlookers there were two kids that were watching the whole thing without parents around them. The two kids were a young boy who looked like he was 10 years old and a young girl who looked like she was 7 years old. The boy had medium length hair that reached the bottom of his ear and sharp piercing blue eyes. He wore a short sleeved black t-shirt and jeans underneath the blue coat he had on. The girl had white long hair that reached neck and round blue eyes. She wore a pink skirt and pink t-shirt underneath the purple coat she had on. Both had watched the scene with the girl grabbing the boy's hand tightly. The girl looked worried, and the boy looked like he was really happy for the first time in his entire life.

'Finally, the days of torture are finally over. My sorry excuse of parents are finally going to suffer in prison for a long time.' The boy thought while remembering all of the horrible memories that were given to him by his parents, 'All of those years of torture they put me and my sister through are going to be avenged even if they're not being arrested for our suffering.'

"Onii-chan what will we do now?" The girl told her Brother. She was a little bit scared. Without their parents the girl thought that they would have nowhere to live and would have to stay out on the streets "Where are we going now that mom and dad are going away?"

"I don't know yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out so both of us can live a better life." The boy answered her to try to make sure his sister wasn't scared. "Never forget your Onii-chan will always be here when you need him. So there really is no need to worry okay."

"Okay I'll always believe you Onii-chan."

On that day the boy swore to himself that he would be there for his sister. To make sure that she would forget the torture they had endured from those 'things' they called their parent and replace those memories with happy memories of the two of them doing happy activities together.

"What the hell is going on right now!? Where am I!?"

In a place that looked like a void Yuichi was looking around the whole place he was in. The void he was in was blue in color and a bit dark. It was something Yuichi could never have thought to see in his entire life and that is from someone who faced abuse from his parents.

"Why am I here? Please tell me this isn't hell. I never thought this would happen because I dropped my faith in religion."

He was a bit confused about what he is currently in right now. As he was looking around a voice called out to him.

"Young man you are to feel very welcomed that my young master sees that you are very interesting."

Turning around he saw two individuals that were looking at him. He saw a woman holding hands with a small boy. The woman appeared to be young, but her face was hidden in a black veil that made it hard to see what she looked like underneath the veil. Her attire was what looked like one would wear at a funeral. A black dress coat and black pencil skirt with black heels that had fishnet leggings covering her legs. The boy had long blond hair that went past his neck and blue eyes. His attire was a black dress coat that had a tie with black dress pants and fancy black shoes. Both were looking at the teenager for a few seconds before he decided to speak to both of them.

"Hey uh do you mind telling me where I am right now? I really want to leave right now." Yuichi said.

The boy whispered to the Lady in Black and the Lady spoke. To Yuichi it would seem that the little boy is a bit shy and doesn't like to talk to strangers directly.

"Do not panic. All my young master wanted to see how the person he finds most interesting is doing right now." The Lady said.

"Okay... that's nice and all but can I leave now? This place gives me the creeps."

"Yes you will be able to leave soon but there is one thing my young master wanted to let you know of something very important. Know that you will have an encounter that will change your life forever."

Yuichi looked at them like he thought they were crazy. He had no belief in fortune tellers or any of that mistic stuff. He would pray a lot for help whenever he and his sister were abused a lot. Help did not come whenever he prayed and he eventually lost all faith in religion. He often did wonder why no one came to help him and his sister despite the loud torture they would often receive but he didn't think of that right now and focused on his loss of faith in religion. It was a sad way to go in life but he didn't mind it at all. He was kind enough to not say that to them and just decided to let it be.

"Well ok. I think that would wrap things up." The Teenager said with skepticism.

"It is time for you to return to Sato Yuichi-kun. You would not like to keep your dear younger sister, Sato Yuki-san, and best friend, Nagumo Hajime-kun, waiting, would you?"

"How do you know..."

That was what he could say as he felt very tired all of a sudden. He couldn't stay standing on his feet and passed out. Before he passed out, Yuichi saw that the boy smiled at him with a look in his eyes that said, "You are an interesting person".

In a bedroom, a 17-year-old Yuichi suddenly opened his eyes very wide. He was dressed in red and black pajamas. He looked like he had just gotten up from a terrible nightmare that scared him for life.

"Whoa... huh!? So it was all just a dream. That makes a lot more sense."

Yuichi looked around his room and saw that everything was the same. His room still had his Full-sized bed and dresser on his left side. Next to the dresser was his closet. A flat screen television was hung high to the opposite front view of his front bed with a table on the bottom of the television. That table contained his games that he uses to play whenever he wants to. A bookshelf was on the left side of the flat screen. The books he had were all manga and light novels that he enjoys reading. On top of the bookshelf, we're figurines of his favorite anime and manga. The right side of the television had a study desk with a lamp that he would use to study in day and night. The walls had posters of many of his favorite anime. Overall, he would say his room looked nice.

Yuichi wondered what that dream was about. He would often have dreams for what anime and manga he saw. He thought that the dream was about an anime that he saw but he could not recognize any series from that dream. While he was thinking about that a voice called out to him.

"Onii-chan, are you up? Remember we have to get ready for school." A voice that belonged to a girl said that to him.

"Yeah, don't worry Yuki. I'm already awake. I'll get ready for school." Yuichi replied.

"Okay, I'll go get breakfast ready."

He dreaded what he had to do today. He sighed and got his school uniform ready. The school uniform was a polo-blue blazer with white outlines along the collar and pockets and the school's insignia over their left breast pocket, and a white dress shirt. It also had a navy-blue tie with red and yellow stripes in a zig-zag pattern, and gray pants. He went to the bathroom to shower before putting on his uniform. After he was done showering, he properly dressed himself in the uniform and headed out of his room and into the dining room. He looked at what breakfast was for today. Miso soup, steamed rice and grilled fish. There was also tamagoyaki, vegetable bowl and tea to complete the set.

"Come on Onii-chan, eat your breakfast before it gets cold." The Girl told him.

The girl who said that was his younger sister, Yuki Sato. She was a 14-year-old girl with long white hair and blue eyes. She was about 157 cm tall. She wore her blue sailor school uniform that had a red ribbon on the neck and a checkered skirt. Her figure was a little voluptuous despite her age and Yuichi sometimes worried it would attract the wrong type of people to her, but he knew very well that would not happen.

"Hai, Hai." Yuichi replied with a bit of a lazy tone.

They began to eat their breakfast to give them energy for this day. The food they ate was extremely delicious. Although Yuki was the one that cooked for today it did not mean that Yuichi doesn't know how to cook. Yuichi does know how to cook, however it was his sister's turn to make food for today and he greatly appreciated the help. Both learned how to do housework to take care of themselves without any adults helping taking care of both of them. More importantly Yuki noticed that her brother looked a bit more tired than usual.

"Onii-chan, were you up all night?" Yuki asked with a bit of worry.

"No... well ok only for a little bit of time. I had too though. Deadline is about to come pretty soon, and I want it to be done really early rather than at the last second." Yuichi said but he decided not to talk about his dream.

With no adult guardians to support them Yuichi had to find a way to make money all on his own to support himself and his sister in life. They had a little bit of money that they took from their parents before they were arrested to support them for a few months. That money would not last forever and Yuichi knew that very well. He had to come up with a way to get money to survive. Luckily, Yuichi had a stroke in luck as he was able to find a way to make money. He became a Mangaka. He had a natural talent in drawing and used it to make his own series. His first debut was in an anime convention, and it sold rapidly. He sold out on all of his copies and a manga company manager had seen his talent despite how young Yuichi was. That Manga Manager gave him a job of being a Mangaka in an anime and manga company. His manga became so popular that it would be adapted into anime, movies and video games. Wherever he went he was often approached by fans wanting an autograph of the "Manga Prodigy Prince". He gained a lot of money to pay for a house, schooling, food and other needs for all he had done.

"Well at the very least you're not as bad as Hajime-nii. But please don't push yourself too hard. I don't want to see you collapse."

Yuki said that with a worried tone. She knew that he was working really hard to make sure they would receive money to pay for their needs. She would not complain about it because she knew he did this to support both of them in life, but she would still worry about him.

"Alright Yuki I'll do that."

"Thank you. Also, Onii-chan I have club activities today and I'm planning to hang out with my friends after that. So, I won't be back until evening."

"Okay thanks for letting me know. Maybe after school I'll hang out with Hajime and maybe give him hints about what will happen next in my work."

"Be careful. You know that Hajime-nii doesn't like spoilers."

Both laughed as they decided to leave their house to go to their separate schools. Yuichi walked around the city part of where he lived. While Yuichi was wandering around, he thought of how glad to see how much his sister had grown as a person. She was extremely traumatized as a child having gone through a lot of abuse their parents had given them. Even after their parents' arrest, she still had nightmares of the abuse and had to have Yuichi with her when she slept. Now that many years have passed and because of the hobbies she was able to find, Yuki was finally able to move on past that trauma.

'I'm really glad that Yuki finally moved past the trauma those 'things' inflicted on her and me.'

While he was thinking about that he heard a beautiful voice singing a song. He looked up and smiled when he saw a big screen that showed a person singing. The person singing is a famous idol singer that he personally knew with his best friend. She was a teenager that was tall and beautiful with long, pink hair that cascades down her back in voluminous waves. She has a slim and curvaceous figure, with a well-defined waist and ample bust. She also looked like a foreigner. This is Sheryl Nome. She is half foreigner and half Asian. She was born and raised in Japan. Because of her beauty and personality she was able to become a very famous singer in Japan. Yuichi and his best friend knew her personally because they happened to meet each other in an otaku event where he was doing autographs and she did a concert. Yuichi had also given his best friend a free ticket to the event because Yuichi wanted his best friend with him in the event. They met personally after the event ended but that is a story for another time. When he was done watching her singing, he decided to leave towards his next destination.

"Okay let's get this done."

Before Yuichi went to his school, he decided to go to another house that was close to his house. He went to a house that had three individuals that were huge fans of his work and one of them was his best friend. He went to the front of the door and knocked on it. He waited for a little bit, and someone answered by opening the door.

"Hello Sumire-san." Yuichi said "Good morning."

"Ah Yuichi-kun." Sumire answered "Good morning."

The woman who answered was Sumire Nagumo, the mother of his best friend. She was a woman that was in her 30's that had medium length black hair.

"Pardon the intrusion. I came here to see if Hajime is ready for today."

"Well he's not. He must have stayed up for a long time reading your work." Sumire told him with a sigh "I don't really blame him though your manga is without a doubt a masterpiece. You're a true prodigy Yuichi-kun."

"Thank you for saying that to me but I mostly do it to gain money. I need it. I want to pay for my and Yuki's needs in life."

"You're a really kind hard working boy Yuichi-kun. Why don't you and Yuki-chan move in here with us? We have extra space for the two of you. We would also be happy to help you since we see you as family as well."

"Thanks for the offer, Sumire-san but I don't really want to burden you and your husband." Yuichi replied. He knew that both of Hajime's parents saw him and his sister as family but he still didn't want to give them any problems. "Still, I appreciate the offer. I'm going to get Hajime now.

Sumire nodded as Yuichi went inside to go to Hajime's room. As Yuichi walked towards his best friend's room, Yuichi couldn't help but feel sad and a bit envious at Hajime. Hajime had good loving parents that supported and treated him with family love no matter what. That was something Yuichi and Yuki really wished they had when they were little children. However, Yuichi wouldn't change a thing right now because he has his sister with him and people in his life that he considered family even if they aren't related by blood. Yuichi reached the front door of Hajime's room and knocked.

"Hajime it's me." Yuichi said to the front door. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah I'm ready." A voice replied with a tired tone.

The door opened and Hajime appeared. Hajime had short black hair, round brown eyes, and a slim body, along with a kind face. He wore a school uniform that looked the same as Yuichi. Both of them met in their first year of middle school and instantly became best friends because of their common interests. The only disagreement was Hajime's motto of "Hobbies over real life".

"Alright now that my best friend is ready let's get going." Yuichi told him with a bit of fear. "Another school week of hell awaits us"

"Yay..." Hajime said that with a depressed tone. Yuichi completely understood why and to be honest he did not want to go to school either. However, both knew that they had to and decided to withstand it for the rest of the school week. "Lets get ready for another day of torture."

Play "Beautiful Lie" From Danganronpa V3 Killing Harmony OST

Mondays. This was a day a lot of people in the whole wide world would often hate. They were always so dull and quite depressing. People often like the weekend a lot more and are sad that it has to end. Hajime Nagumo and Yuichi Sato were one of those people who disliked Mondays. School was not the best place for them. Oftentimes a lot of students are treated as outsiders and the two were these outsiders. Both were dreading what was going to happen once they entered their classroom as they walked through the school hallways. Before they made it to their classroom both best friends had a conversation.

"So dude, why were you a bit late to my house today?" Hajime told him "It isn't really like you to be late when you get to my house."

"Yeah I know." Yuichi replied with a yawn "I had to do some extra work by trying to complete my next chapter before the deadline comes and that left me with little time to sleep."

"I really like your work, but shouldn't you at least take some breaks a lot more often." Hajime told him with a worried tone "I know it's hard work to write a chapter in manga but every fan, including me, would completely understand that you work hard for your manga and are in need of a break. We wouldn't mind if you took a break. I'm even sure your bosses will even give you a break if you ask for it."

"I know that my fans and bosses would understand but I have to keep working." Yuichi told him with determination "It's the only way Yuki and I can live a lot more in life. Even if I have to sacrifice some sleep I wouldn't mind if it would keep Yuki happy."

"Yuki-chan is the one that is really worried about you the most. Come on Yuichi, just take a break to have some fun memories with Yuki-chan."

When Hajime said that Yuichi had thought about what he said. Whenever Yuichi was done with his manga, he would often see Yuki in her competitions in both kendo and martial arts. He saw how skilled she had become and was really proud of her. She was able to make it to a top spot in both her kendo and martial arts club. Last year, Yuki had also managed to win a Kendo tournament for women who were 19 and under. Her last opponent was a girl named Yaegashi Shizuku, and Yuki was able to beat her without losing a single round. She is also at the top of her year in academics. Those are the reasons why she was described as an honor student and the school idol in her school. However, he could always see there was a little bit of sadness in her eyes despite the enviable accomplishments she was able to achieve. He could tell that it was because he would not take breaks and continue his work. He really didn't like to see Yuki being sad because of that promise he made to himself on that day where his parents were arrested. He vowed to make sure his sister would not be sad anymore. Yuichi was thinking about all of that until he replied to Hajime.

"All right I guess I'll try taking a break once in a while." Yuichi said.

"Finally, you're finally gonna..."

As Hajime was about to be done saying what he wanted to say, Yuichi had another thing to say to him. One thing to reply that Yuichi thought would at least help his best friend.

"I'll only take that break if you decide to finally accept Shirasaki-san feelings for you." Yuichi replied smugly.

"Guh...you're making this really difficult, you know that, right." Hajime replied with dread.

"Dude, it's pretty obvious she likes you and I know very well you aren't that dense to notice it."

"Yeah I know. I just don't know how to answer her feelings."

The two best friends had finally managed to reach the door to their classroom. They both dreaded what they had to face when entering through that door. The moment they opened that door almost every student in that classroom looked at them. They all looked at the two best friends with expressions of envy and disgust. The females of the class were no different. In all honesty, the best friends wished they could ignore those expressions but their intense stares made it too difficult to ignore them.

"..."

Hajime really wished they would stop with their looks. He had done nothing to them and yet they decided to treat him like this. However, Yuichi would ignore them because he considered their way of showing hate towards him and Hajime to be pathetic. As they both walked to their desks, a single person stopped in front of them. It was a familiar face that Hajime and Yuichi recognized. They also hated that face as if it were poison.

"Well look who finally showed up. The two gross otaku of this school."

He is a young man with short brown hair that fell flat on his head. He had the appearance of an everyday jerk you can find anywhere in life. His name was Daisuke Hiyama and he was the bane of existence to Hajime and Yuichi. He and his three bastard friends would often bully the two of them. Even now he continues his torment on the two of them. Them being Otakus was not the main reason they would be bullied by them but it was something else.

"I bet you two were laying eroge all night long. Ha!"

"How gross!"

He and his friends began their mischief and began to laugh at the two of them. While Hajime would not bother to reply because he could not think of something to reply, Yuichi had something else in mind.

"Sorry but we don't really like to play those trash games you and your friends like to play."

That reply made the four bastard friends stop laughing and glare at Yuichi. Their leader known as Hiyama would then go in front of Yuichi with a menacing look.

"What did you say otaku trash!?"

"Wow, not only do you play trash eroge games but you also have hearing problems despite being the same age as everyone in this classroom. Who knew?" Yuichi said with a shrug.

Hiyama grew angry and grabbed Yuichi's collar. He was ready to punch him in petty anger and Yuichi was ready to take the blow. Before that could happen a single person voice stopped the action from happening.

"Ah! You're here. It's good to see you today."

The voice of a single student was heard. The student that was in front of them was a teenage girl their age that had a smile on her face. The teenage girl could be described as a goddess because she was very beautiful. She had long black hair that reached her back and brown eyes. She was wearing the female version of the school uniform. It had the same design as the male uniform except it had a red neck ribbon with a blue and yellow stripe at the ends, and a gray skirt. The teenage beauty was known as Shirasaki Kaori, one of the two goddesses of the school.

"Good morning, Nagumo-kun." Kaori said to Hajime, completely not noticing Yuichi is with him "How are you doing today?"

She greeted him with a kind smile that would charm any man. That smile combined with her beauty and her kind personality made her popular in the school Yuichi and Hajime attended. Both best friends could agree without a doubt that she was a beautiful girl.

"Morning Shirasaki-san." Hajime replied with a tired tone. "I'm doing alright but a bit sleepy. Though I'll survive for today.".

"Hello to you too, Shirasaki-san." Yuichi said to Kaori

"Ah! Sato-kun you were here too!?" Kaori told him as if she finally noticed he was here. "Well...Good Morning and sorry for not noticing you earlier."

"Don't worry I don't blame you for not noticing me." Yuichi assured her

Kaori had a friendly relationship with Yuichi. She could see how kind he is and how well he gets along with the boy that she is crushing on. She is glad to see that he has a very faithful friend by his side. However, she did have a bit of envy for Yuichi. She envies him for being able to get along well with Hajime. That is something that she has been trying to work out with Hajime after meeting him for the first time in her life. She would often go to Yuichi to get some advice to get close to Hajime and it would lead to a friendly relationship with Yuichi.

"Ah Shirasaki-san…"

With a single reply Hiyama left with his gang and went to their desks. While Kaori talked with Hajime and Yuichi, she failed to notice the disdainful looks that their fellow classmates were making. Those looks were for Hajime and Yuichi because they get to talk with one of the two school goddesses. They all muttered words like the boys saying "Why does Shirasaki-san bother to talk to those two" and the girls saying "Those two are nuisances and should be far away from Shirasaki-san".

The classmates had that kind of treatment towards Hajime and Yuichi because they thought the two of them weren't worthy of being near Kaori. Most thought Hajime was a bad person to be with because he slept in class a lot due to his frequent all-nighters. They also assumed that she also goes to Yuichi to get some spoilers from his manga and did manga at his age to get money to buy people to be with him. The classmates' views of both of them is what also prevented Hajime from accepting her feelings since they would not accept them being together.

"You know both of you were almost late today. Please try to get here earlier."

"Yes Shirasaki-san."

"I'll try when I'm not busy writing."

Suddenly, three more of their fellow classmates came by to get in the conversation. The classmates that approached were considered the most popular students in the entire school.

"Good morning Sato-kun and Nagumo-kun. How are the two of you doing today?"

"You really are too kind, Kaori. Looking after them again."

"Why bother with him? He is lazy in class. Why bother with Sato as well? All of his work ain't good at all."

The first one to talk was a woman. She was wearing the female uniform and is an exceptionally beautiful young woman to the point she is considered a goddess in school alongside her best friend Kaori with waist-length black hair that is tied up in a ponytail with bangs hanging over her forehead and red eyes. She is notably more mature compared to Kaori due to her tall height and well-endowed figure. Her name is Shizuku Yaegashi. She is from a family that has a dojo that taught her Yaegashi style swordsmanship and was trained to become a master swordswoman that has only ever lost one time in kendo. She also had a huge fanbase and many of the younger students of the school would start calling her "Onee-sama" and even go as far to worship her.

The second one who greeted Kaori is a guy who could be described as perfect. He had flowing brown hair, soft features, tall height and had noticeable muscles despite his slender build. This was Kouki Amanogawa. He is very popular because of his performance in sports, academics and his appearance. He is also a guy with a strong sense of justice. Even his name was heroic. However his views on what is right and wrong are twisted. That reason is why Yuichi would call him the wannabe hero in his mind.

The last one was a guy who was very tall, even taller than Kouki. He has a large muscular physique and he stands tall at about 190 cm. He has short trimmed black hair and a gaze that appears stern. This man was Ryuutaro Sakagami. He is your typical energetic muscle-brained person. He values hard work and tends to be rash in his actions.

"Morning Yaegashi-san, Amanogawa-kun and Sakagami-kun. Well I guess I reaped what I sowed. I stayed up a lot at night."

"I only stayed up for a bit for something important that has to be done early."

Both Hajime and Yuichi replied to the three of them. While Shizuku would be completely understanding the same could not be said for the two boys that are with her at the moment. In fact their reply would be a bit rude.

"When are you two going to fix that bad habit? Kaori can't keep looking after the two of you forever."

"It's useless Kouki. No matter what you say they are pretty unenthusiastic about school."

With that reply that they had, Yuichi decided he had enough and decided to talk back.

" I don't see the problem with how we live our lives. In fact we were not in any problems at school."

Yuichi said that because his and Hajime's performance in school was good. Both their grades in school were above average and that was because Yuichi would help out Hajime in tutoring. Yuichi would do it so he could help out his best friend in something he would struggle at.

"That may be true but the two of you still don't have motivation to go further. When will you stop taking advantage of Kaori's kindness?"

"Kouki-kun. I'm just talking with Nagumo-kun and Sato-kun because I want to."

The whole classroom broke out in rage at those words. If looks could kill, Hajime would have died countless times from the withering glares he received from the male students. Yuichi on the other hand just ignored all of that animosity and rolled his eyes. They grind their teeth as they look at them with rage, while Hiyama's crew took it a step further and began discussing what place would be best to drag the two of them during lunch break.

"I…I see. You really are far too kind, Kaori."

Kouki decided to brush off that comment that Kaori made but Shizuku had something else to say for Hajime and Yuichi.

"I'm sorry about that. He doesn't mean any harm by it…"

"It's fine Yaegashi-san. We're used to it."

Shizuku quietly apologized to the two of them, as she was the only one present that was smart enough to grasp everyone's feelings. Yuichi once again just ignored the so-called self-righteous person. He just focused on writing his plot for his next chapter, with Shizuku asking what may happen. Yuichi just told her that she has to wait until it's released with a friendly smile. Shizuku secretly always admired the hard work he did and she went to her desk.

The school day went by in a normal everyday way. The lessons were the same as always and what most had desired for lunch break was happening now. Everyone was having their break now. They all ate the lunch that they got and were talking with their friends. Both Hajime and Yuichi were also talking.

"Hey Hajime. Did you bring any lunch with you today?"

"No, not really. I didn't really have any time to get my own lunch ready."

Hajime looked so hungry that he would eventually die of hunger. Yuichi felt bad seeing him like that and decided that he would try to help him out. Before he could say something, someone else spoke to Hajime first very quickly.

"Nagumo-kun do you want some of my lunch?"

Kaori Shirasaki suddenly appeared and offered to share some of her lunch with Hajime. That comment made every student in the classroom except Yuichi turn and look at Hajime. The male students looked at him with glares and the female students had scornful looks in their eyes. Yuichi felt bad that Hajime was getting a lot of hate so he decided to help him out.

"That would be nice Shirasaka-san but Hajime is already having some of my lunch. It's natural as his best friend that I should help him out."

Hajime gave a thankful look to his best friend and Yuichi was glad to help out. However Kaori then had a sad look on her face when he said that.

"I see…Nagumo-kun doesn't need my help because Sato-kun is already helping."

That sad look on Kaori's face then triggered a chain throughout the classroom. The other students then gave many glares to Yuichi. They gave him that look because of his supposed rudeness with Kaori and Hiyama's bastard gang decided to plan a meeting with them because of their involvement with Kaori. Yuichi just sighed in his mind.

'Pathetic. Their way of showing me and Hajime hatred is always pathetic no matter the method.'

Kaori would still insist on sharing her lunch with Hajime. However a certain wannabe hero would then come to interrupt Kaori.

"Kaori come eat with us. Both Nagumo and Sato look half asleep and your lunch shouldn't go to waste."

Amanogawa said all of that with his signature shining smile but Kaori only gave him a confused look on her face. The conversation was happening so much that they almost didn't realize someone was entering the classroom. The person who was entering is a petite woman often described as having a child-like figure by others. She has short dark-brown hair and green eyes. She wears a white shirt with a pink blazer, a white neck scarf, a dark-brown skirt, brown stockings and dark heeled-shoes. This was Aiko Hatayama who was nicknamed "Ai-chan" because of her child-like appearance. She came in with books in her arms and set them down on the teachers desk.

"Alright everyone, class is about to resume soon and everyone should get ready to go to their desks." She said with a cute voice.

They had all almost finished eating and were getting ready for class again. Both Hajime and Yuichi had one thought that they wanted to happen to their classmates.

'I wish they would get summoned to another world,' both Hajime and Yuichi thought.

At the same time something happened. Something very unnatural that no scientist could explain it despite how smart they were. What was happening was that something unexpected appeared in their classroom. A giant circle appeared on the floor of the classroom. It gave a shining light that could only be described in a brilliant way that surpassed many beautiful things that could be found on earth. Everyone that was in the classroom had a shocked look on their faces and it soon turned into panic.

"W-what is going on?!"

"This bright light….what is it?!"

"This is really scary!"

All of them said many more things while this was happening. Many panicked but had not bothered to run away from the giant glowing circle. The panic and fear was keeping them frozen from trying to at least escape. Normally they would expect their 'Hero' of a classmate to do something about this but even he too was completely frozen in fear because of this unexpected event. Without their wannabe hero they still stay frozen in fear as the circle begins to transform even more. The circle suddenly had many kinds of runes appear around it. Both Hajime and Yuichi had the same thought when seeing this circle.

"T-This looks like a magic circle from the games we play."

The magic circle was glowing even brighter than before. The glow was so bright that it was almost threatening to blind the people caught inside it. Everyone was screaming even louder than before. All still did nothing to escape and even then they all were still depending on their 'hero' to do something. It wasn't that long until one person decided to do something and speak up to everyone. That someone was their teacher Aiko Hatayama.

"Everyone escape the classroom now!" Aiko said.

She wanted her students to make it out and stay safe because of her way of being a teacher. However when she said that it was all but too late for even one person to escape. The magic circle sparkled in a brilliant explosion of beautiful white light. After that the light finally began to fade, and white color disappeared from the classroom. There was one problem though and it was that the classroom was now completely empty. A lot of student seats were knocked over, lunch boxes were dropped on the floor spilling the food in it, and it became very quiet after that. It became completely quiet because the classroom had everything still left in it except the students and teacher. This mass high school disappearance incident would then cause quite a stir across the world. It would also change the lives of the ones who disappeared forever.

In the blue dark void that Yuichi dreamt of there were two individuals in it. The two individuals were the lady in black and the blond little boy he met in that dream. A cloud of smoke was there that showed both of them of an event that transpired. Both had managed to witness the event that happened in the classroom within the void they are currently in. They were watching it with curious looks on their faces and found it amusing how incompetent the individuals were when they were facing the magic circle they were in.

"Young master, the event that will change all of them has begun. From here on things will be far more different than what they are used to."

"Yes, I clearly see that." The boy said. "Though whatever growth they gain, if they even grow at all, in character will not change my mind on what I will do."

He watched Yuichi closely. The boy had seen what Yuichi could be if he found his growth in the journey that lies ahead of him in the future. The boy saw that Yuichi had the best potential out of all of them and would make him proud of his choice.

"I see but what of his best friend? He is also someone worthy of what you have in store. Why not him instead young master?"

"Hajime Nagumo is also someone worthy. He displays his worthiness well when many criticize him. He pushes himself forward, always finds ways to help, his willpower is strong and he is a person who doesn't hide behind a mask of a fake personality." The blond boy stated. "However my choice lies with Yuichi Sato because he also has those good qualities. Yuichi Sato also faced many kinds of hardships since his childhood that would make anyone become a lowly person but he didn't fall. That is why he is my choice."

"Very well young master. I will not question your decision on the individual anymore"

The cloud that projected the individuals that disappeared suddenly goes to a place that was clearly not from Japan. The lady and blonde boy watched again.

"Though he will need to pass one more test that lies ahead of him in the near future to receive my gift. What he does later with that gift is not my concern. It will not be my problem if he uses that power to save Tortus…or completely abandon it to its doom."

The blinding light that shone upon the students and teacher was beginning to disappear before all of them. The individuals that were in the circle were all lying down on the floor. All had their eyes closed because of the light being too bright and when they opened their eyes they were given a sight to behold. All of them were dumbstruck because they were obviously not in Japan anymore.

The first thing their eyes registered was a massive mural. The mural which stretched around nine to eleven meters long depicted a faintly smiling figure, whose gender seemed to be unknown, halo above their head, eyes looking down instead of straight and their blond hair flowing freely behind them. Behind them in the background were plains, lakes, and mountains. The figure had both arms spread wide as if trying to grab hold of all of it. It was a truly beautiful, awe-inspiring work of art. All of them had thought of it as just a beautiful benevolent being but Hajime and Yuichi had different thoughts. Hajime swore that the smile that the figure was making was actually a smug look while looking down at them and Yuichi had distrust over the angelic like figure while giving it a skeptical look on it because of his lack of faith in religion.

All quickly looked around the surroundings and they quickly realized that they were in a vast chamber. The entire room was constructed of a gleaming white stone that seemed smooth to the touch. Marble, possibly. Massive pillars with sculptures carved into them rose up to the towering domed ceiling. The room resembled some sort of grand cathedral. Everyone was standing atop a type of plinth located in the deepest recesses of the room. They were raised above their immediate surroundings after seeing the different location they were from their classroom.

Yuichi wanted to get up but there was someone atop of him that was preventing him from getting up. The slender build and the soft bouncy sensation that he felt over his chest could make sure that Yuichi knew that the individual was a girl. Yuichi looked at the individual and it was the cool beauty of the school Shizuku Yaegashi. Shizuku was still so confused by her surroundings that she didn't realize that she was on top of someone.

"Just…where is ...why?" a confused Shizuku said.

"Uh….Yaegashi-san. Could you please get off me?" Yuichi said.

"Huh?"

Shizuku then decided to turn her head to where the voice that called out to her. She finally realized that she was on top of Yuichi and the moment she turned her head towards him she noticed something else. Her face was very close to his. Instantly, her facial expression changed from confused to embarrassed as her face turned scarlet red, noticing the predicament she was in with Yuichi.

"Ah..ah" Shizuku said in a cute way.

She instantly got off him and quickly departed from him. Many others also got up and were still confused about their surroundings. They have no way to understand what is going on because it goes beyond what they are used to. Then instantly a couple of people showed up before them. The individuals were obviously priests from the robes that they were wearing and the crosses they were holding in their hands. One of the priests stepped forward. He was an old man in his seventies, dressed even more lavishly than his peers, with a richly decorated monk's cap that was very big.

"Welcome to Tortus, brave heroes. It is our pleasure to welcome you here. I am the pope of the Holy Church, Ishtar Langbard. It is an honor to make your acquaintances."

'What the fuck is going on?!' Yuichi thought.

A/N: And that's it for the first chapter. I do say that I think it will go pretty well. I also decided to add a few characters from other series but not a lot of them. I will point out that this is still an Arifureta/SMT crossover and it will have only both elements from those series. I always liked Arifureta and SMT. That is why I am doing this.
