Chapter 9

After Mal0 disappeared, Daniel and Dr Anderson were taken back to the Foundation. They tried to help Dr Clef, but it was too late. When the doctors tried to help him, he died shortly after; due to blood loss. They cleaned up the house and took as much evidence as they could. They showed Dr Anderson the picture of Mal0 and Daniel; but he rejected their thoughts of Daniel downloading the app.

After they interrogated Dr Anderson, the scientists went to talk to Daniel. "Mr Anderson?" "Yes?" says Daniel. "How many visits have you made to the Foundation this week?" says Scientist 1. "Three, I think?" "Then how come every time you show up, something bad happens?" says Scientist 2. Daniel shrugs and says: "I don't know." They both walked over and sat in front of Daniel.

One of the scientists opens a folder, pulls out the photo and says: "Care to explain this?" Daniel shook his head and says: "No?" "We think Dr Clef figured out you downloaded 1471 on your phone, you got the others to lie for you, and when Dr Clef found out the truth, he went to confront you." "I didn't do anything!" says Daniel. "And then, the SCP attacked and killed Dr Clef to protect you. Are we close?" said Scientist 2.

"I already told you, it was Dr Segal! I just watched as he set Mal0 free!" The two scientists looked at each other, then they looked back at Daniel and said: "Can you tell us again, why didn't Dr Segal have his phone on him?" "I told you, he didn't have a phone on him at the time. So he just nicked mine." says Daniel. One of the scientists goes into the folder and pulls out a photo.

The photo is taken from a security camera in the same room as SCP-914. At the same time, Daniel and Dr Segal are in the photo as well. The other scientist points at Dr Segal's lab coat; a phone is clearly seen inside a pocket. And then he says: "As you can see, he did have a phone on him at the time. So why did he use yours?" Daniel groaned and leaned back in his chair.

He then says: "Alright, I did download the app. Dr Segal then took and used it. I didn't think that Mal0 would come out of the phone. I didn't know Dr Clef was watching me; nor did I think Mal0 would accidently kill him." The scientists then went back and forth at Daniel. "So what about Dr Segal crashing the car?" "I don't think Mal0 did that." "What about your Dad?" "Mal0 was angry at him for shooting her."

One of the scientists pulled out Daniel's phone and puts it on the table. "This version of SCP-1471, can send messages on your phone. How does it do that?" "I don't know. I haven't figured that out yet." Daniel then grabs his phone and looks at the messages. A new one appears, he shows it to the scientists before saying: "I think it's for you."

One of the scientists reads the message. "Let my friend go, or else." He then types in: "Or else what?" Mal0 immediately replied with: "Or else I'll cause some trouble." Scientist 2 types in: "You mean like kick Hitler in the ass?" Mal0 then says: "No. I'll get help to open all the doors in this facility." Both scientists look at each other confused.

"You're bluffing," says scientist 1. "Oh really?" says Mal0. Suddenly, the door opens and sirens began to blare out. "What the fuck!" "Give me that!" scientist 2 says whilst snatching the phone. He then types: "Ok you got a deal. Just call the containment breach off." Mal0 then says: "I can't." Everyone look at each other concerned.

Daniel then took his phone back and typed: "Mal0? What are you talking about?" "I'm not doing it. The other computer did and he won't turn it off." Daniel looked at the scientists and says: "What "other computer?" One of them says: "It's talking about 079. We need to get there as fast as we can!" All three ran out of the room and up to a soldier. "We need an escort to SCP-079!" says Scientist 2.

"Yes sir!" says the soldier. They all ran down the halls, towards the room that has 079.
