Chapter 14

"What do we do against that ungodly creature?!" a soldier shouts to the other. "The Scarlet King is impossible to defeat. We're all doomed," the other soldier says. And then they watch as the Scarlet King reaches down; to crush them in his grip. Daniel closed his eyes and prepared himself to be dead. But before the Scarlet King can grab them, an helicopter appears and fires a rocket at him.

The Scarlet King swings at the helicopter and misses. Daniel and the soldiers hid behind a vehicle. "There's got be something we can do," says Daniel. "Well, there just might be something," one of the soldiers says. "What's that?" "One of the doctors, he said that the Scarlet King is pure evil. But he also mentioned SCP-999." Daniel gasped and said: "My father. He took 999 for the Insurgency."

"He did it, because SCP-999 is pure goodness. He believed that if it touched the Scarlet King, he'd cease to exist. And not just here, but in every universe there is." "So we need to find it. And then give it to the Scarlet King," says Daniel. "Where do we even start?" says a soldier. "Need some help?" The trio turned around to see Mal0 standing behind them; with SCP-999 in her arms.

"Well, that's lucky." "Mal0! You're alive!" says Daniel. "So are you friend." Mal0 looked over to the soldiers and said: "Can I help?" The soldiers nodded and one of them says: "Alright then, listen up! What we need you to do, is get SCP-999 to the Scarlet King. The little guy will know what to do." Mal0 nodded and then she disappeared. Whilst the Scarlet King tried to take out the helicopter, Mal0 appeared on his shoulder.

He then looked down and said: "What are you doing?" "Say "hello" to my little friend," Mal0 says, before placing 999 on his shoulder, waving goodbye and then disappearing again. 999 wrapped several tentacles around his arm and held on tightly. "No! Let go of me child!" the Scarlet King said whilst trying to shake 999 off. Suddenly, he began to laugh. Meanwhile, Mal0 appeared next to the trio.

"So, what happens now?" says Daniel. "SCP-999 is know as "The Tickle Monster." "So, is he going to tickle him to death?" says Mal0. "No. 999 makes everyone it touches, happy. So if the Scarlet King becomes too happy, the happiness will overcome the evil; and he'll disappear for good," says a soldier. The Scarlet King tries desperately to remove 999 from his arm, but fails and continues to laugh.

Then he looks down at his hand and it disappears. "What is happening to me?!" As The Scarlet King continues to laugh, SCP-999 just looks up at him and smiles. The only thing the Scarlet King could do, was watch as he slowly disappeared. The last thing he did, was looking down at the group and saying: "Jesus. Wept." Then he gave a small chuckle before disappearing.

999 fell and landed on the floor; turning into a orange puddle. "Is it ok?" says Daniel. "Don't worry, it's invincible," says one of the soldiers. 999 then turned back into a ball of slime. Suddenly, the crack in the floor repaired itself. And the sky became blue again. "Holy shit. Did we just kill the Scarlet King?" says the other soldier. "I think we did."

Daniel and the soldiers looked at each other, then they laughed and hi fived each other. "We did it!" says Daniel. "Yes we did!" As they laughed, the helicopter landed and other soldiers came out. "Alright boys and girls. Get to the chopper!" Mal0 quickly disappeared, Daniel walked into the helicopter, and the two soldiers carried SCP-999 into the helicopter. It then took off and flew away.

Hours later, Daniel was back at the SCP Foundation; telling them what happened at the Chaos Insurgency. After reviewing evidence, the Foundation believed Daniel and cleared him of any crimes. They also decided to not go after Mal0; due to there was no way to contain her. After questioning Daniel, they put him in a vehicle and drove him to his house.
