Chapter 15

"So, Mr Anderson?" says a scientist. "Yes?" "We're going to help you keep your house. But can you not tell anyone what happened to your Dad?" Daniel nodded and says: "I promise, to not tell a soul about the SCP Foundation." "Good. Also, make sure SCP-1471 doesn't cause any harm again." "Yes sir," Daniel says as he steps out the vehicle.

He watches as the vehicle drives away, then he walks into his house. Daniel walks upstairs into his bedroom and gets undressed. He lies down on his bed and closes his eyes. He then opens them again and sees Mal0 standing in his room. "Hi friend." Daniel smiles and says: "Hi Mal0." Mal0 then walks over and sits on the bed, next to Daniel.

"Should I leave?" she says. "What do you mean "leave?" "I mean... should I leave and not return?" Daniel sits up and says: "What? Why?" "It's because of me. After you downloaded my app, you got shot at, kidnapped, a giant SCP got summoned and you nearly died." Daniel puts a hand on Mal0's shoulder and says: "So? Mal0 I don't care what happened to my Dad, the Foundation or the Insurgency. I only care about you."

Mal0 turned around to face Daniel and said: "You do?" Daniel nodded and held her hands. "Mal0? I know in the beginning, I thought you were a menace. But after all of this I realised, I shouldn't ignore you and move on. Because of the Foundation, I realised how much of a friend you truly are. I do not want to lose you." He then hugged her and says: "I forgive you. Can you forgive me?"

Mal0 began to cry and says: "I do." They both let go and Daniel wipes a tear away from Mal0. He then lies back down on the bed, he then opens the cover so Mal0 can lie down next to him. After she does, they both looked at each other and Daniel hugs her. Due to Mal0 being a few centimetres taller, Daniel places his head against her chest. And Mal0 places her head on top of his forehead. A few seconds later, they both fell asleep.

In the morning, Daniel wakes up; but Mal0 isn't in the bed. "Mal0? Are you still here?" "I'm downstairs." Daniel got changed and walked downstairs. Mal0 was in the kitchen, making breakfast. "Since when did you know how to make breakfast?" says Daniel. Mal0 turned around and says: "I'm a living computer, basically." "Oh right." Daniel then sits at the table, Mal0 came over with a plate of bacon and sausages.

"So, what do you think?" Daniel took a bite of each and said: "Wow. It's perfect." Mal0 tilted her head and said: "Thank you." "So, do you need to eat?" says Daniel. "No. I don't need to. My survival, only depends if my host is still alive." "Do you mean me?" Mal0 nodded and Daniel continued to eat his breakfast. After finishing his food, he took the plate and washed up.

Daniel then walked over to the sofa and sat down. Mal0 appeared next to him and also sat down. "Can I be honest?" she says. "Sure. What is it?" Mal0 then puts her hands on Daniel's cheeks and says: "I think I love you." Daniel gulped and said: "Can I also be honest?" "Yes?" "Me too." They both looked at each for a few seconds, then they started to move closer to each other. And then Mal0 tilted her head slightly, as their lips touched.

After a few seconds, their lips departed and Mal0 stuck out her long black tongue. Her eyes then changed to look like love hearts. Daniel lied down and Mal0 lied down on top of him. He then reached up and put a hand on top of her head. He stroked it and Mal0 purred. Daniel smiled and closed his eyes. And then Mal0 did the same.
