As Aquaformer recharged deeply in their quarters, Optimus went to get his precious little ones. He had to smile at the fact that not only had he bonded, but his bonded had given him what he had always wanted – a family. He thought back on how hard he and Aquaformer had tried to avoid each other and how friends had forced them to face each other. Now, Optimus wouldn't have it any other way.
Soon, Optimus arrived at the place he thought the little ones were being watched. He heard noises, but it didn't sound like sparkling noises. Optimus thought the little ones might be sleeping and so he quietly and carefully headed into the secondary rec room, hoping Mirage and Bee were ok. But Optimus was shocked when he walked in to the room and all he saw were a few adult bots. He scanned the room carefully, but found no trace of his sparklings. Hound spotted Optimus before the Prime could do much more.
"Prime, Mirage and Bee moved the sparklings to a small unused quarters as it was getting too loud in here" Hound stated, unaware noisyness was not the only reason Bee and Mirage moved the sparklings.
"Did they say which quarters?" Optimus asked, trying not to be angry.
"Yes sir. I can take you there" Hound stated and the bot soon led Optimus to the unassigned quarters. "Here we are, Prime."
"Thank you, Hound" Optimus replied. Hound left just before Optimus knocked on the door.
Upon hearing the knocking, Mirage came to the door. "Prime?" Mirage asked, figuring that Aquaformer would have been left to pick up the little ones. Aquaformer knew that Bee and Mirage used these quarters a lot when watching the little ones, as it made it easier to keep track of all six.
"I have come to pick up my sparklings. Why are they here?" Optimus demanded to know.
"Bee and I often use these unassigned quarters when watching the little ones so we can watch them more easily" Mirage explained, allowing the Prime inside. Optimus headed in, not liking this but then he had never been the one to pick up the little ones.
Once inside, Optimus could see at least three of the six sparklings were wide awake and trying to crawl around, two appeared to be napping and bee was trying to get the last one to settle down. Optimus wasn't sure what to think about all of this. He studied what was going on. "We still have three to feed, once this one settles. Would you like to help, Optimus, sir?" Bee asked.
Optimus looked quizzically at Bee. "You need my help?" Optimus asked, not understanding.
"Well, we could do it, but it works out better with more help" Bee answered, trying to help Optimus have time with his little ones. They would try he other suggestion from Spike later, the one of taking over some of Optimus' work so he could spend time with his little ones. For now, they would just use this time to help Optimus get to know his little ones.
Optimus was a little uncertain about what to do, even though he had assisted Aquaformer a few times. The little ones that were left to feed more often than not were fed by Aquaformer as they were finicky feeders. Now, Optimus was getting that chance to help with these ones. And knowing that Aquaformer would be asleep for a while, Optimus stayed and helped with the little ones.
