Aquaformer soon woke while Optimus was deep in recharge, as his newly sparked body demanded it. She softly kissed him and then got up, as she needed to get the little ones. She made sure Optimus was safely tucked in and had plenty of appropriate energon nearby in case he woke before she got back. She remembered that she wished he had done that, but he didn't know what it was like to be sparked. She wasn't going to let him go through everything she went through if she could help it. Once that was all done, Aquaformer headed out.
Once outside the quarters, Aquaformer headed straight for the special sparkling sitting quarters where she expected to find Bee and Mirage watching the little ones. She went up to the door and knocked. But much to her surprise, neither Bee nor Mirage answered. Instead, it was Jazz. "Jazz? What are you doing here?" Aquaformer asked.
"I was just dropping off my little ones with Bee and Mirage. I stayed a bit to help with yours. They are so sweet" Jazz explained, as he loved sparklings.
Aquaformer smiled at hearing that. "That is good to hear. How are you little ones?"
"They are good, but Prowl and I needed some alone time, so I brought our little ones here" Jazz answered. Aquaformer nodded and Jazz left to head home. Aquaformer headed into the quarters to pick up her little ones.
Meanwhile, back at the shared quarters, Optimus soon woke due his systems being off kilter. He felt absolutely awful. His tanks were rebelling and he felt dizzy. He wanted to get up, but felt unable to. Then he looked next to him and saw a large bucket. Not even thinking how it got there, Optimus grabbed it and began to purged his tanks. This was not fun, but it soon ended. And after purging his tanks, he was hungry. He noticed the energon cubes with one having a note on it. "I know you will be hungry after you purge your tanks. Please slowly enjoy the energon or you will purge your tanks again. Be back soon, Love Aquaformer." Optimus managed a weak smile. And then he began to slowly imbibe the cool energon. Yes, Optimus was glad his mate was such a big help.
Elsewhere, unaware her mate was now awake, Aquaformer grabbed all six of her little ones and headed for home. She hoped that Optimus would be okay until she returned. Thankfully, the special sparkling sitting quarters weren't too far from where Optimus and Aquaformer had their quarters and Aquaformer soon returned with all the little ones. Aquaformer put the little ones to bed for a nap and then checked in with Optimus.
Aquaformer was pleased to see that Optimus was still in their berth. Aquaformer noticed the purged energon, but said nothing. "How are you doing, beloved?" Aquaformer asked, as she gently stroked her mate's helm.
Optimus still felt dizzy but was feeling a bit better thanks to the little touches that Aquaformer had done. "I'm a bit dizzy, but the energon is helping. Thank you, my love" Optimus replied, already feeling more respect for his mate,
"The little ones are napping so I have so time to rest with you" Aquaformer said with a smile. Optimus smiled and let her snuggle close to him. Surprisingly to Optimus, he felt warm and safe in his mate's arms even though he felt it was his job to protect her. He was now beginning to see just how much she really meant to him. He snuggled close and soon both were dozing, with Aquaformer setting her systems to respond if the little ones needed anything.
