Unaware that her mate was coming to get her out of the brig, Aquaformer sat in the brig somberly. She hoped this wasn't the end for her, but she was ready if it was. She didn't think anything would convince her mate and Prime Optimus. She thought back about how she'd met that strange mech named Op something or another who had saved her one time, but she figured he had been an apparition as he disappeared as mysteriously as he had arrived.
Aquaformer was deep in her musing when her mate came to the brig area. Optimus was a bit stunned, as not only had Aquaformer gone to the brig herself, she'd chosen the worst one and had her back to the door. Optimus felt bad. Now that he knew the truth, he knew she didn't belong here. She belonged at home with him and their sparklings. Well, if she chose to accept him back.
Soon, Optimus was right outside the brig door. "I'm sorry" He started saying, trying to get his mate's attention. Aquaformer refused to turn, not sure if this was a trick or not. Optimus sighed. "I'm sorry, my love, I should have listened to you."
Aquaformer turned at that, a bit in shock. Hearing him call her "my love" made Aquaformer realize that maybe all wasn't lost. "I didn't want to tell you, because I grew up believing that no one would believe anything I had to say regarding the crap I went through. It still haunts me to this day" she explained, helm still lowered.
Optimus opened the door. "Come with me, my love. If it makes you feel better, I believe you" Optimus replied, offering her his hand so he could lead her out of here and take her home.
"Are you sure you still want me? I come with so much baggage" Aquaformer asked, even as she took the offered hand.
"I want you forever and always…as long as you can accept me as you mate who makes mistakes" Optimus answered, closing his hand around hers and gently pulling her out of the brig cell.
Once she was out, Aquaformer pulled Optimus to her and hugged him tightly. She didn't want to just tell her mate, she wanted to show him. "And I want you and will love you forever and always" She whispered in his audio as she hugged him tightly. Optimus smiled, hugged her back, and then led her out of the brig and to their quarters.
Thankfully, the little ones were elsewhere, and so, Optimus and Aquaformer had some time to just spend with each other. Optimus was happy his mate was back. He hugged her again now that they were in private. She let him before she gave him a signal she wanted more. Optimus playfully growled when he realized what she was asking for. And soon, both had some adult fun before falling into recharge in one another's arms, unaware that Aquaformer was going to be sparked yet again. And since they didn't have to get the sparklings anytime soon, both rested soundly, happy about what had been resolved.
