Optimus then decided to send the ten little sparklings to various trustworthy bots, including Bee and Mirage as well as a couple others. Soon, the ten precious young ones were elsewhere and Optimus and Aquaformer were left alone. Aquaformer lowered her helm. She wanted his attention, wanted to spend time with him, but this just seemed like too much. Optimus notice and lifted her helm. "Love, it's ok to spend time, just the two of us. It's been a while and we both need it" Optimus said gently, rubbing her face plates softly.
Aquaformer let out a few tears as it had been so long since they had just time for each other, especially with ten precious little ones. "It's been a long time…I've gotten so used to just taking on the role of mom" Aquaformer replied, snuggling into her mate, needing this time.
"You are being a wonderful mother, my love, and you are doing so well working in the med bay, but I think we have both missed being with each other for more than a quick face or sleeping. I know it hasn't helped that I have been busy too" Optimus replied, holding her close.
Aquaformer started feeling better. This time was so precious to the femme. They just sat their, wrapped in one another's arms before Aquaformer got an idea. "You know, love, I think there are places nearby we could drive to and just spend some time together away from here" Aquaformer suggested, hoping Optimus would be up for it.
Optimus listened to what his mate suggested. Optimus had to think for a bit,and then remembered that while there were still rogue cons around, Megatron and the organized Decepticon army were gone. Optimus sensed that Aquaformer was getting worried the longer the Prime waited to answer. "I think it is a good idea, my love, but I don't think we should go out too far just in case we are needed due to the sparklings we have" Optimus replied.
Aquaformer nodded in agreement. "I wasn't saying go far away, just enough away that we can be alone for a bit" she responded. Optimus nodded and soon the pair headed out, asking much needed time for just the two of them. Only now did Optimus realize just how important to them and their relationship. They enjoyed their time together for the few hours they were out. Aquaformer's spark felt so much lighter and Optimus promised that they would do this more often, no matter how many precious little ones they had. Aquaformer was glad to hear that and would hold him to that promise, especially with the new little one or ones to come.
