Chapter 7: Egyptian Escapade
The Cooper Gang and their Autobot group are driving through Egypt to the location Sly assumes an Allspark fragment is located.
Arcee: Tell me again how you got out of Ancient Egypt, Sly?
Sly: From my perspective, it was a month, but to me it felt like forever. Like… Eleven years forever. I was worried and sometimes cried at night thinking I would never see my best friends or love ever again, but luckily they found me with enough hints and the Time Machine on the Van, Bentley and Murray found me. Carmelita was so overjoyed seeing me… then started chasing and trying to arrest me again like anything during and after my amnesia scandal never happened, but deep down, I know she still loves me.
Bulkhead: Amnesia scandal?
Sly: That's a whole other story I'd rather tell another time.
Sly notices the type of tunes Jazz is playing.
Sly: Hey Jazz, I think you might like a guy we know. His name is Dimitri. He once owned a Nightclub and is very chill. You should meet him sometime.
Jazz: Alright, I'll keep that in mind. I like a guy who jams to some good tunes..
Bentley: Sly! The device Optimus gave us is starting to pick up a signal.
Sly: That means we're getting close. Look up ahead.
They see a pyramid up ahead, though smaller and less prominent looking than more famous ones around the country. The Autobots stop in front of it. The Cooper Gang gets out of them and the Bots transform.
Sly: Here it is. The Pyramid containing the tomb of Slytunkhamen Cooper. The creator of the Thievius Raccoonus.
Bentley: Sly, just wondering, did you ever meet him while trapped in his time?
Sly: No. Since we defeated Le Paradox, I assumed the Raccoonus was fixed, which it was, and didn't think talking to him would help things. Also, looking back, I think it was a bit stupid of me to tell all the Ancestors I did meet that I'm their descendent.
They approach the entrance.
Bulkhead: We CERTAINLY can't fit in there.
Arcee: But we'll keep watch out here and be ready in case of any potential 'Con attacks.
Sly: If that happens, call me.
Arcee: Why?
Sly: Just do it, please.
While Sly trusts Optimus, he has his own secret plan to save his Conjunx Endura. He intentionally wants to be captured by a Decepticon so they can take him and imprison him where he might find Carmelita and then the both of them sneak out with his skill. May be risky with the giant evil robots around the place, but it is a risk he is willing to take.
Murray talks to Coopercus like he's his kid.
Coopercus: Are you sure I can't fit in there?
Murray: Hey! Don't worry. Me and the gang will be out of there in no time and the other bots will be here to protect you. Alright?
Coopercus: Alright.
Murray: Love you, buddy.
The Cooper trio head into the Pyramid.
Bulkhead: Hey Coop. Have you noticed that stick with a hook on your back?
Coopercus: What?
The young bot reaches and feels something on his back and pulls it off. It's a version of Sly's cane his size.
Coopercus: Wow! Cool!
Arcee: Maybe you should pull off your Raccoon tail too.
Coopercus: What?
Arcee pulls the tail off, realizing that it's easily detachable and shakes it a bit. Suddenly it's straight. She hands it to him.
Arcee: Would you look at that? A Dual wielder melee newbie.
Bulkhead: Nice!
Jazz: Wait. Coop, let me take a look at that Cane.
Jazz takes Coopercus' cane and fiddles with it and now it's a blaster that he can shoot with. He hands it back to him.
Jazz: Now you can be a Melee weapon dual wielder or Blaster and tail in both hands.
Coopercus: Awesome!
Arcee: (Whispering to Jazz) I don't think it's probably a good idea to give a blaster to a less than two-day old.
On the other side of the Pyramid, Starscream is hiding. Waiting for the right moment for him to snatch up both Sly and the Allspark fragment.
Inside the Pyramid, the Cooper trio are navigating down inside to find the tomb. There are many deathly booby traps, but being thieves, they know when and how to avoid them.
Murray: How would you know it could be here, Sly?
Bentley: The Allspark signals on my device are getting bigger.
Sly: The Cooper Ancestors who came into contact with a fragment all said vaguely in the Raccoonus that they hid theirs in a place no one would ever find it and honestly where else would you expect an Egyptian who probably wasn't expecting any company after death to hide it?
Bentley: Ah, yes that's a very clever observation.
The three stop in their tracks and see hieroglyphics. They depict Slytunkhamen possessing a familiar blue crystal, which brings to life some sort of statue or stone monster. They then show the monster terrorizing and killing people and Slytunkhamen running away with the fragment in hand.
Murray: How was that monster defeated? Is he probably still out there?
Bentley: We may never know.
They go on and eventually reach the main tomb room that's filled with treasure. Again, being thieves, they are extremely tempted.
Sly: Look guys, I know we are all extremely tempted but-
Murray: (Interrupts) You're telling us not to steal from your dead relative's tomb. I know. But it's soooo tempting!
Sly: Please keep it together Murray, we'll be out of here quick. Bentley, is the signal on the device the highest it's been?
Bentley: Yes. It is definitely in this room.
Sly: Then scan the room until the signal is the highest.
Bentley: Well…. I was thinking there was a chance that…. Let me show you…
The turtle holds the device up to the side of the sarcophagus and the Allspark signal skyrockets to the highest it's ever been.
Sly: No! You're not thinking….?
Bentley: Look. Opening a sarcophagus and swiping an alien artifact from an extremely rotted corpse wasn't on my to-do list either, but we have to.
Sly: (sighs) You're right.
Sly attempts to pry the sarco open with his cane, but to no avail. Then Murray uses his strength to open it, which works. Inside is a very rotted raccoon corpse holding an Allspark piece. Sly is disturbed, but can't help but crack a joke.
Sly: Uhhhh…. Hey Slytunkhamen…. I was in your time once, but we never crossed paths. Nice to finally meet you…. In person….. Face to face…. (Gulps)
Sly quickly grabs the fragment and Murray puts the Sarco top back on. The three start to head back out, but halfway there, Sly, still holding the fragment stops. He's feeling….. Odd….
Murray: Are you alright?
The Cooper begins to shake violently and falls to the floor, fragment still in hand. In his mind he starts to see…. Visions… very fast ones.
He sees his parents, their murder, his first meeting with Bentely and Murray, Carmelita, every single major event in his life is flashing to him, then visions of his ancestors bringing things to life with blue crystals and eventually flashes that are extremely unfamiliar to him. Big Robots warring in a setting he didn't recognize. Was this Cybertron? He sees what looks like a deity made out of wiring and then suddenly finds himself in space in front of a literal planet with gray and orange accents. It transforms into an absolute behemoth of a monster and had the appearance of what he kind of imagined as Cybertronian Satan. He then found himself on the floor of a setting that looked white all around as if it was Heaven. Thirteen humongous, mysterious figures surrounding him.
Sly: WH- WHO ARE YOU ALL!? WHY AM I HERE!? IS THIS REAL!?
The figures stayed silent. The Raccoon looked more around and his heart stopped when he stared at a dark, sinister figure. The figure immediately lunged at him, as if ready to attack and then….
Bentley: Sly! Sly! SLY! Wake up!
Sly: (Wakes up gasping rapidly) I have seen….. EVERYTHING!
Murray: Are you okay, buddy? We were worried sick. You were spazzing on the floor spouting gibberish.
Sly realizes the fragment is still in his hand and immediately throws it to the wall in fear.
Sly: Guys, that thing gave me visions….. visions I cannot explain! I need to speak to Optimus! He must know what I saw!
Bentley picks the fragment up with his wheelchair's robotic hands and puts it in a vial for safekeeping and the three head out of the Pyramid.
