Gabriel stood in their secret underground base. Alya, Nino, Max, Marinette, and Adrein stood, looking at the screen. Gabriel knew what had happened already, but he needed to see it instead of just feel it. He approached the screen, feeling his son take his hand. He gave the hand a squeeze as they looked together. There was a massive crater where downtown Paris had been. He guessed the Supreme had thought they were inside that area and thusly was an acceptable loss.
The worst part is the man hadn't used a Miraculous to create the blast. No, Marinette as Ladybug could erase that damage. He looked at the girl, silent crying while holding onto her Kwami, Tikki. No, the Supreme had used an actual missile he somehow had gained access to.
"That is the final straw." He heard himself say. "The Supreme must be defeated before the end of the week. I can use a Kamiko to reverse the damage and lives, but if he sees it, he will just do it again and again. We have just over a hundred and fifty hours before no power I can produce can undo this tragedy."
Alya stepped forward. "I'm ready, Gabriel."
Into-the-Reverse-World*
Adrien paced around his bedroom. He still recalled that night, when Ladybug had thrown herself on his chest, as Chat Noir anyways, and told him everything that happened in the final fight. About his father's last minutes and his selfish last request, he made of the girl who had offered him another chance and been slapped for her trouble. He would not have given his father a chance, but he knew Ladybug. Second chances were her thing. Of course, she had offered the hand of mercy to his crazy father.
He was not mad at Ladybug. She had told him, even though it was his masked self, everything and then asked his advice. He had told her to lie to Adrien, give him the amoktized item and let Paris and everyone else believe Gabriel died a hero. He hoped this was not causing undo stress to his partner, but he didn't think he could deal with the investigation the police would do if his father was a known terrorist right now.
At least he had Marinette, who he had figured out must have learned he was a senti-being from Felix. Marinette was always checking that he was wearing his rings before he made any major decision. He loved her for that, making sure what he was doing was his own will and no someone else's. He figured when she was ready, she would approach the subject. How did you even start that conversation? He knew he still hadn't talked to Felix about the fact he was one too.
Plagg was floating nearby. "Are you alright, kid?"
Adrien smiled and patted the Cat Kwami. "Yeah, I'm good, Plagg. Just mind too full to rest. Did you know I was a Senti-being?"
Plagg shook his head. "Only Dusuu could have sensed that, sorry Adrien. I suspected when your father started ordering you around so effectively, of course. I want to punch Felix in the kidneys for taunting you with obeying when he knew your father had the ring still."
Adrien nodded. "Plagg, I want to see Marinette. Do you think she would welcome an ally cat in?"
Plagg gave him a look. "As long as the cat doesn't forget she is dating his civilian self and kiss her, causing her to think she cheated on Adrien."
Adrien blushed but held up the ring. "Plagg, claws out!"
Into-The-Reverse-World*
Marinette was enjoying a cup of tea when her alterative self arrived. She was in Ladybug form, or as Marinette preferred to call her, Neo Ladybug.
"Hello, Marinette." Noe Ladybug gave her a salute.
"Other me," Marinette smiled back. "What's going on? Did Alya help you get here?"
"Yeah, things are bad on the other side. I've come to ask you and the fleabag for help."
Marinette caught a happy tone in the so familiar voice that told her that while she might still insult him, she and Neo Chat Noir were doing fine as well.
"Sure, I don't mine coming to help you guys. Not sure if it's safe to bring the two most dangerous Miraculous through and possibly give the Supreme another wish source."
Neo Ladybug nodded. "Betterfly guessed you might have reservations about that. You're a Guardian, can you borrow other Miraculous for the time being?"
Marinette nodded. "Yeah. Tell Betterfly that I need an hour to prepare myself and Chat Noir and we will come and assist you."
Neo Ladybug… or perhaps just Ladybug, hugged her close. "Thank you, Marinette. Something really bad happened today and knowing we will have help will take a burden on us. See you at Alya's."
Into-the-Reverse-World*
Chat Noir was running across the rooftops as his Baton buzzed. He look at the phone section and found Ladybug was calling him.
"Good evening, milady."
"Good evening, Chat. Our variants need our help."
Chat Noir grinned. "I knew making you watch the MCU would help. I would be honored to fight beside the other Chat Noir."
"Yes, but we shouldn't take Tikki and Plagg with us. We need to swap Miraculous with someone and have them watch over Paris while we are gone."
He nodded. "Wise. I'll miss Plagg but if it's to help other me and Ladybug, I'm in. I know just how to ask, too."
"Same. See you at Alya's house. She is acting as the gateway again."
"Roger that. See you afterwards, milady."
Chat sighed looking at the bakery. He changed course and started to head for his objective instead. "Good night, Marinette. I'll see you when I get home." He whispers as he leaves the bakery behind.
Into-the-Reverse-World*
Ladybug arrived at the Agreste Manor and went into Felix's room. Felix was sitting there, on the computer.
"Felix." She called. He turned around.
"Ladybug, do you require Argos' help?"
She shook her head. "Not Argos, but I need another favor." She lands and walks behind cover. "Spots off."
She heard Felix gasp as she dropped her transformation. "Felix, I need to borrow the Peacock Miraculous. I'm going on a mission to another world and cannot risk having two Tikkis there. So in exchange, I need you to be Mister Bug, making Paris believe at least one of it's heroes is still out and about."
She heard a pregnant pause behind her. "I trust you, Ladybug. Very well, I'll honor your request. I'm sorry for before, I don't know if I said it. How you so thoughtless sent the Strike Back Sentimonster to it's death scared me."
"Trust me, Felix. If there was another way to have dealt with that creature, I would have. But it was too dangerous, invulnerable to our powers and able to steal them, running rampage destroying the city. Even if I had gotten ahold of the amokitized item, Gabriel would have just snapped it away. There was no situation where I could save it."
He sighed. "I know. I knew, even at the time. I just wanted to find justification to dislike you. To ensure the survival of myself and Adrien."
Marinette smiled as she took out the earrings and sent Kwami, her power ups and miraculous to Felix. Dusuu came around the corner holding the broach. She had already prepared new power-ups for Felix, she would use them for now.
"Just be aware, if you ever betray my trust again, I will kick your butt. I won't touch your ring, just human to human butt kicking. Do I make myself clear?"
She heard Felix chuckle. "Crystal. Thank you, for treating me as a human being."
She put on the Miraculous. "That is not something anyone should have to thank anyone for, Felix. But you're welcome. Dusuu, spread my feathers!"
She had been expecting Myura and Argos' blue skin but she found her skin color the same as always. She wore a traditional style Chinese top with sleeves that were pinned at her wrists. She had loose leggings that ended in ankle boots, all in the Peacock's blue. Her mask was lovely and was adorned with feathers, synthetic to keep Adrien's allergy at bay. Her hair was in buns, but adorned in a Chinese style.
"What name are you going to us?" Felix asked as she stepped out of hiding.
"Well, if I went for the same style as I did with Ladybug, it would be something like Bluebird or Blue Jay. But I don't want to be recognized as myself, so I'm going a little fancier. I read once about a type of blue bird called a Lazuli Bunting. I think I'll just go with Lazuli."
"A pretty name. Fly well, Lazuli. Come home safe. Adrien needs you, Marinette."
She felt blood rush to her cheeks. "I thought you knew. Now I know for sure. Thank you, Felix. Take good care of the city."
Felix bowed as she left. "Don't worry, Lazuli. I won't fail you again."
She spotted Tikki pinch his cheek. "Of course, you won't. I'm not as nearly as carefree as Dusuu is. I won't put up with your nonsense."
She laughed as she jumped into the night air.
Into-the-Reverse-World*
Lazuli landed at Alya's house and saw a blonde male in scarlet with a familiar pattern on his chest. She could tell it was Chat Noir, cause the hair style was similar to Mister Bug's. He had golden dragons eyes though instead of green cat ones.
"Well, well. Nice to meet you, partner. My name is Lazuli."
"Pleased to meet you, Lazuli. I am Dragoon Escarlate. It means the Scarlet Dragon."
"I'll just call you Dragoon, then. Like I do with Chat. Ready to go?" She handed him a packet of the dragon power ups she had been preparing for Kagami.
"Yep. Kagami is going to pretend to be Lady Noire as best as she can. I say we can spare a week. Did you tell you're boyfriend?"
She shook her head. "He's smart. He would realize the connection right away, I suspect. He's not that clingy, sometimes we go a week without seeing each other face to face, though we want to. I sent him a text telling him I would be away for a bit with little to no reception."
He nodded. "I did the same for my girlfriend. Shall we then?"
"Yes, let's go and save another world."
The two of them stepped towards Alya, who opened the portal. The time had come.
