The Clover Kingdom…
A place where magic determines everything,
All citizens within the kingdom possess the ability to use magic.
Their amount of magic and skill decided their place and status in the kingdom.
Despite this, there is one boy in this kingdom who cannot use magic
His name is Asta.
Nobody knows why, But he was born completely unable to use magic.
This left Asta with an uncertain future,
With no magic, he would be ostracized by others around him or be able to get a job.
Despite these fears and uncertainties, Asta was never deterred.
There was one thing that had always kept him going, the dream of becoming a Magic Knight.
Swarn protectors of the Clover Kingdom and rise through the ranks to become the Wizard King!
The strongest of all of the Knights.
But all of Asta's loved ones argue the seeming impossibility of his dream due to his lack of Magic.
Especially since he lives with Yuno, his childhood friend and rival, who possesses incredible magical prowess, is beloved by the whole village, and believes he's destined to be the Wizard King.
So yeah, things didn't look good for Asta. But he may have a chance from the most unlikely place, thanks to events before he was born….
Hell….
A place that is the final destination for the cruel and wicked after death!
To be punished for their sins and forever burn in fire and brimstones!
In the early days… that was the case.
But not these days…
These days, the once-chaotic realm. While still pretty chaotic, it is now more civilized.
Demons who once punished and tortured sinners now live mostly normal lives.
As for the sinners, they practically punish and torture each other on their own.
To keep things 'mostly' under control, Hell is kept in check by the most powerful demons
The most powerful and highest ranked is the king of Hell himself…
Lucifer…
But despite the fact he's the king and has the highest authority that even the most powerful demons have to follow.
He couldn't be everywhere at the same time. He needed a way to rule without having to travel constantly. So he founded a system where a Demon Lord serves in Lucifer's place while he retains authority over all of Hell.
It wasn't much of a challenge because Hell was divided into seven planet-sized rings.
Because of Lucifer, each ring has a powerful demon lord ruling it.
Over time, demons began to call Lucifer and the other lords…
The 7 Deadly Sins…
Based on the face each Ring of Hell embodies each sin of humanity.
Despite this system's effectiveness, some demons didn't like the system and tried to overthrow Lucifer and the Sins.
Let's just say it didn't end well for the Rebels…
As punishment for treason, these Demons were banished to a Dark Ring under Hell, unable to escape or leave. Since then, Hell has been sending the worst of the worst Sinners and Demons who commit high treason to the realm of the Dark Ring.
But there was a fear amongst the Rings about these demons ever escaping and seeking revenge. That and the Realm of Heaven causing genocidal Exterminations every year.
It was decided that something needed to be done.
After much consideration (and constant disagreements and objections from one Sin)
Hell decided to create a secret weapon…
Every Six hundred and Sixty-six years, The Sins grant power to and create A Hell Warrior…
A powerful warrior who will be able to preserve balance and defend Hell in case the rogue demons ever return.
But not all Hell Warriors were up to code.
Most warriors created were swiftly murdered by Heaven, driven mad by the power, or went rogue themselves.
Until one attempt provided something interesting and different…
The Sins learned of the recent birth of a magicless baby in a realm full of magic.
Realizing this was the perfect place to hide the Hell Warrior from Heaven and help properly train him to use his power.
The Sins performed the ritual to grant their power, but something went wrong…
The power wouldn't enter his body, It seemed that his body wouldn't accept mana as if this baby was "hated by mana".
But when it seemed that this was another bust, The bestowed power did something unexpected.
The Demonic Magic turned into a necklace containing Seven colored gemstones, One for each sin.
To the Sins, it seemed that the ritual was a success.
But they never realized that Fifteen years later…
This action would affect everything in all of the realms….

Alright, I will admit something…
You could all probably tell who the reluctant Sin is…
The Sins will be shocked/mortified to learn that they accidentally formed Soul Contracts with Asta. Plus, according to Stolas, since their Sins, any deal they make is "everlastingly binding". (Somewhere out there, Striker is laughing his ass off.)
The Dark Ring is home to the Black Clover Devil's, JSYK. and Demons like Alastor, Striker, Crimson, Andrealphus, Stella, and the Vee's are not there cause they're smart enough to not do any of the things the BC Devil did.
