Cosmic Queen: Ascension
Prologue: Rough Beginnings
AN: AN: I don't own the any of the character in the MCU apart from my Oc's as the characters belong to Disney and Marvel. Also, I am not a professional writer so please keep criticism of this civil please. Along with that if you dislike how I describe characters appearance then I would suggest not reading because I do describe characters in detail.
Also I am using an app to translate from English to other languages so if I get it wrong, I'm sorry.
This story is also inspired by Marvel's The Titan by therealneil2000 over on Wattpad and I would highly recommend reading it if you enjoy MCU oc trust me it's really good.
Guadalajara, México 2010
Currently on a school bus on their way to were a bunch of students all of them either just talking with their friend or were on their phones messing about.
"¡Espere! (Wait)" A young girl was shouting, "Espere, Por Favor. (Please wait)" The young girl kept shouting as she was running after the bus.
Everyone on the bus was laughing as the girl kept running after the bus.
"Alubia verbe Comùn. (Common miss string bean)"
"¿Còmo puede alguien con unas piernas tan largas moverse tan despacio? (How can someone with such long legs move so slow?)"
Eventually a boy who looked around thirteen with him being slightly above the height of the average boy his age standing at five foot seven and a half with him having a slight tan skin and him having short spiky chocolate brown hair and a somewhat similar eye colour but slightly lighter, made his way over to the bus driver.
"Subes que nos ha seguido durante unos diez minutos, ¿verdad? Detén el autobús (You know that she's followed us for about ten minutes, right? Just stop the bus.)" He asked the bus driver.
The bus driver sighs and stops the bus and opens the door which allows the girl that was running after the bus to finally get on to it.
"¿Te has levantado tarde otra vez? (Woke up late again?)" The boy asked.
The girl meanwhile was currently hunched over a bit as she was trying to catch a breath her beath.
The girl was around a year older then the boy and had more of an olive skin tone. The girl had wavy dirty blonde hair that reached her shoulders and grape like purple eyes. The girl also stood slightly taller than her brother standing in a five foot eight and a half. Like the girls in the bus the girl was also wearing the school of white shirt with a tie and a skirt that had black and red pattern on it.
The girl looked up well still panting, "Bueno, había un buen anime y…(Well, there was a good anime on and) " She trailed off.
The two then jumped as the bus driver then blasted the bus horn, "¿Quieren que ustedes y todos en este autobùs lleguen tarde a la escuele? (Do you two want yourselves and everyone on this bus to be late for school?)" the driver asked which bothe siblings shook their heads, "¡Bien, entonces siètate! (Good, then sit down)" He then ordered the two as he closed the doors.
The two siblings nodded and were on their way to the back of the bus before a student tripped her up causing her to almost lose her balance.
"Cuidado señorita rascacielos. (Careful miss skyscraper)" A girl the same age as her said mockingly.
The girl hated being mocked because of her height it always made her stand out in an awkward way which she did hate since she was always pretty shy and socially awkward around other people which unfortunately because of her height she did stand out.
As the sibling managed to sit down the brother then whispered into his older sister's ear, "Don't let what they say or how they treat you get to you Alexia" He said in an accented English.
"Easier said than done Leo." Alexia responded in a similar accent to her brother.
Alexia and Leo both preferred to speak in English for two different reason with the first one being that their father though from Latino descent came from Los Angeles and moved to Mexico with his parents and brother to live with his grandmother when she was dying and when she passed, he elected to stay. The second reason was that one day the both of them planned to move to America alongside their older brother Carlos who was currently studying in Florda university.
However the only members of their family that didn't speak English was both James and Isabella who were the two youngest in the family.
"Hey don't worry about them besides I'm sure that Carlos wouldn't want you to look down when he shows up on Wednesday. " Leo reminded her since their big brother was coming to visit their family.
Alexia sighs since it's Monday before smiling at remembering about her older brother coming to visit, " Yeah, your right. I can take it." Alexia said in confidence.
A few hours later
'I take back what I said.' Alexia thought in despair.
Right now was home time in her junior high as Alexia waiting for her brother since she was allowed out slightly early.
Throughout the day Alexia had to deal with multiple people making comments about her behind her back. People copying her answers and when she called them out on it, she would get in trouble with the teachers. And she's pretty sure that someone stole her bean and cheese burrito when she wasn't watching.
"¿Por què todo el mundo aquí tiene que ser un gilipollas? (Why does everyone here have to be a dickhead?)" She asked herself.
"¿Y desde cuàndo has empezado a maldecir?(And since when did you start cursing?" Her brother who snuck up behind her asked.
Alexia then jumped in shock before slapping her brothers arm, "¡No me sorprendas asì, imbècil! (Don´t sneak up on me like that you jerk!)" She scolded her brother.
"Lo Siento, no pude evitarlo. (Sorry i couldn´t help myself)" He apologise giggling causing Alexia to glare slightly before he stopped and then looked concerned as he switched to English, " Guessing hard day today." He said in a knowing tone.
Alexia sighs, "You could say that" She said in a tired tone.
Leo then patted Alexia on the shoulder and said, "Hey at least it's home time so let's-"
Leo was cut of as a white substance that Alexia hoped was white paint or glue splattered all over her as she jumped and let out a small yelp as she turned and saw two girl laughing at her.
Alexia immediately knew who they were as simply put they were the bane of her existence.
Carla and Chloe García both of them were identical twins as they were both brown hair, green eyes, they were also quite a bit shorter then her as they were both five foot one and a half and were wearing the same school uniform, but they were also wearing some very expensive jewellery which how on earth they didn't get confiscated was beyond her.
Both of them came from a very wealthy family with their father being a very successful businessman and their mother was a very successful actress.
Honestly why their parents chose to send them to a public school is beyond her.
Alexia hated the fact that the both of them being in her class and was the people who loved bullying her ever since they started going to Junior high together. She was also confused on what Chloe was hiding behind her back.
Leo wasn´t happy about those two-throwing paint at his sister, "Oye, ¿què fue eso de? (Hey, what was that about?)" He shouted.
Chloe responded while laughing, "Lo Siento Leo. Es sólo que Carla y yo pensamos que tu hermana podría necesitar un cambio de imagen. (Sorry Leo. It´s just that me and Carla thought that your sister might need a makeover.)"
Carla while laughing herself added herself, "Aunque esta torre parlante andante no sea tu verdadera hermana. (Even though this walking talking tower isn't you real sister.)
The main thing that Alexia hated hearing about but knew was true that she isn´t Leo´s and Carlos real sister, that she was adopted. Alexia never knew her real parents, all that she knows that she was adopted by her father after her mother died according to her father do to complications due to birth and that her father had left her mother before she was born.
Alexia was grateful to the Rodríguez family for them adopting her and raising her as one of their own daughters/sisters but because of hair and eye colour it always made her feel like an odd one out which caused insecurities about herself.
Or that she doesn't belong with the Rodríguez family.
That comment touched a nerve with Leo, "¿Què acabas de decir? (What did you just say?)" Leo asked in strained tone like he was about to snap.
Knowing the situation was going to get out of hand Alexia stepped in front of her younger brother to calm him down.
"¡Leo Cálmate! (Leo calm down!)" She asked her him.
"Pero- (But)" He was about to Protest before Alexia interrupted.
"Mira, estoy bien. Sé que estás enfadado, pero sólo pintura. Puedo lavarla en la ducha. (Look, I´m fine. I know that your angry but its just paint. I can just wash it out in the shower.)" She reassured him.
"Oh, no era sólo pintura. (Oh, it wasn't just Paint.) " Carla then said as she was smirking.
Alexia turned around to face both sisters to see what Carla until she finally realised what Chloe had hidden behind her…
As Chloe throwed an entire bucket full of glitter at her which caused her to let a yelp in surprise.
Though a small portion of it went onto her brother, the majority of it went onto her.
Everyone that was nearby started laughing and pointing at her.
"Nos retractamos de lo que dijimos. No eres una torre andante que habla, eres más bien un árbol andante que habla y hemos decidido decorarte un poco. (We take back what we said. Your not a walking talking tower, your more like a walking talking tree and decided to decorate you a bit.)" Chloe said with a laugh which the crowd to laugh harder at Alexia which caused her to tear up a little.
Leo was about to lash out but Alexia grabbed his arm and started walking off pulling him with her.
"Alexia ¿Por qué estás…? (Alexia… why are you…)?" Leo was about to ask but was cut off by his sister.
"Leo vamos a casa. (Leo lets just go home.)" Alexia said trying to keep herself from crying in front of everyone.
"Pero (But)"
"Leo Po favor (Leo Please)" Leo then saw that Alexia had tears in her eyes, so he mutely nodded.
"No te olvides de la excursión de mañana. será emocionante. (Don´t forget about tomorrows field trip. It should be exciting.)" Carla called out in a mocking tone as she and her sister walked off.
That´s right Alexia remembered that tomorrow was the day of the field trip and though it is cool it also meant that she had to deal with both García and that honestly made her almost not want to come.
Alexia just kept going with her brother and the two then soon left the school.
Sometime later at the Rodríguez house
Alexia and Leo when they got back home arrived a few minutes later then their father who usually arrived around dinner time. Alexia after drying her hair, Alexia then went to get change.
If you looked at Alexia's room, you would think that this was a bit more of a boys room with the exception of the makeup collection that she had by the table near her bed. The reason why was because of how messy the room can be with everything was all over the place. Her games and were a bit in a jumbled mess pile along with the fact that her bed looked a little unkempt bed with how a pillow was on the floor and her blanket looked almost like a ball. She would have arranged her bed before she left her bed, but she overslept and had rush out to the point the only thing that she had for breakfast was some fruit and that's it.
All over her room their were posters of her favourite anime such as Naruto, Code Geass, Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Dragon Ball and Berserk.
Alexia sighed, so what if she liked anime what was wrong with that?
Alexia got changed into dark blue t-shirt and white light sweater with white outlines while she was also wearing baggy navy-blue jeans along with wearing some sandals.
The reason being that when she didn't want anyone to see her developing curves.
Which is why she was currently wearing this kind of clothing.
Also in her room was a picture of Captain America who even though she's Mexican she always really liked Captain America because he was like her someone who weak, someone who everyone looked down on but then he became strong, he became someone that his country could look up to, he became a hero.
Okay maybe they weren't quite the same since she didn't have any kind of powers and she didn't become a hero but still.
"Alexia, it's dinner time." Leo told her from behind her door.
Alexia was snapped out of her thoughts by her brother knocking on her door and sighed, after opening the door went downstairs where she saw Leo now dressed in a short sleeved Under Amour shirt with him wearing some black joggers of the same brand which told Alexia that he was probably going to go jogging after dinner because of his dream of performing in track and field in the Olympics one day.
Alexia saw both of her younger siblings James and Isabella. Issabella wore a white with pink outline dress. James wore an iron man shirt with dark blue shorts. Both of them had the same eye and hair colour as their older brother but James had very short buzz cut while Isabella had hers in short twin ponytails.
And sat at the head of the table, was her adopted father David Rodriguez. Her father worked as a high paid accountant. Their father had greyish hair and beard, He was very tall standing at six foot five and was a very big middle-aged man not quite fat but he wasn't quite fit either. His blazer was currently placed behind his chair as he was still wearing his button up shirt with a black tie with red stripes on it.
"Me alegro de que te unas a nosotros, Alexia. ¿Qué tal el colegio hoy? (Nice of you to join us, Alexia. How was school today?)" David asked his daughter.
Alexia sent a quick look to Leo to tell him to keep quite before responding with, "Bastante bien, suponogo (Well enough I suppose)" She responded with.
"Es bueno oírlo. (That´s good to hear.)" David responded with a nod. ´
"Hey Papá, tengo hambre. (Hey dad I´m hungry)" "Sí ¿Podemos comer ahora por favor, Papá? ( Yeah, can we eat now please dad?)" Both James and Isabella both asked their father.
David just laughed, "Muy bien, yo también tengo hambre. Vamos a cenar todos. (Alright I´m getting hungry too. Come on let´s have dinner everyone)" David said as the entire family had their dinner.
As Alexia was having her dinner with her family, she kept looking at her brother's Iron Man t-shirt and she remembered what happened that day when Mr Iron Man himself Tony Stark revealed himself as the Iron Hero.
Flashback 2 years ago
Right now the entire Rodriguez family was currently having dinner with the exception with Carlos who was hanging out with his friends from Collage since it was one of his friends birthday party.
Right now the entire family was currently watching the Stark Industries press conference about what had occurred between that giant metal robot and the so-called hero, Iron Man.
She saw Tony Stark wearing a very smart looking suit as he entered the stage.
Alexia was never a big fan of Tony Stark as she always saw him as too arrogant and too much of a playboy with all the ladies that he hanged out with. Added to the fact that he was a weapon designer and though its known that Stark gives his weapon to the US military but what happens if his weapons fall to the wrong hands… the amount of innocent people that could get hurt.
"Estoy Sorprendido. (I'm surprised.)" David suddenly said.
"¿De qué te sorprendes papá? (What are you surpised about dad?)" Isabella asked.
"Pensaba que Stark se quedaría en reposo domiciliario mientras se recupera. (I thought that Stark would stay on house rest while he recovers.)" David explained.
"¿Quizás odiaba estar atrapado en casa? (Maybe he hated being stuck at home?)" Leo guessed.
"podría ser. ¿O tal vez su ego no podía soportar no estar en el centro de atención? (Could be. Or maybe his ego couldn´t handle not being in the spotlight?)" Alexia said.
"Shh Está empezando. (Shh it´s starting.) James interrupted them as Tony Stark started his speech.
"I… uh… It's been a while since I've been in front of you, so I think I'll stick to cards this time." Tony started off as he stands behind the podium. " There's been speculation that I was involved in the events that occurred on Freeway, on the rooftop-"
A reporter then interrupted Tony Stark's speech, "Um I'm sorry Mr Stark… but do you honestly expect us to believe that that was a bodyguard in a suit, that conveniently appeared despite the fact that-"
Tony Stark then trying to regain control then stated that, "I know that it's confusing… it is one thing to question the official story and another thing entirely to make a wild accusation or insinuate that I'm a superhero."
Alexia raised a right eyebrow 'Who would think that?' She thought to herself.
"I never said you were a superhero." She said a smug way knowing she caught him.
"Didn't?" Tony knew he had to backtrack. "Well good, because that would be outlandish and fantastic." Tony sighed.
Alexia and Leo exchanged looks at one another wondering what was going on with him.
"I'm just not the hero type clearly. With this laundry list of character defects, all the mistakes I'm made…" He then looked to the man to his right "… largely public…"
Alexia saw the man then whisper something into Stark's ear. She knew the man was Colonel James Rhodes who worked as the bridge between Stark Industries and the military before Tony Stark announcement that Stark Industries were halting manufacturing weapons which she agreed with that decision.
Tony Stark then held the cards up to his face, "The truth is…" Stark then put the cards down and looks right at the journalist and said, "I am Iron Man."
Everyone on the table stopped eating and looked at the TV in pure shock at that unexpected announcement.
David looked at the TV and said in English, "What the fuck?" Not caring that his children just heard him swore that's how much shock he's in.
Present day
"Papá, ¿te enteraste de que Iron Man Salvó ese crucero hoy temprano? (Dad did you hear about Iron Man saving that cruise ship earlier today?)" "Sí era lo único de lo que hablaban nuestros amigos hoy. "Yeah, it was the only thing that our Friends were talking about today.)" The Twins both said.
"Parece que Iron Man tiene algunos fans. (Looks like Iron Man has some fans.)" David said while laughing at the Twins while they were defending their admiration for the man that was Alexia´s currently thinking about.
'Iron Man…' She was currently thinking about.
She didn't know what to think about the armoured hero if he was doing this because what his weapons had been causing to innocent people or if he was just doing this because he wanted the attention.
Alexia didn't know what to think about him but at least he was doing some good with that suit of his.
After having dinner all three of Alexia's younger siblings went back to their rooms. Both James and Isabella went into their rooms to play on their Xbox while Leo had to do homework.
"So care to explain why their was glitter and glue all over your school uniform today?" David asked in English since the others were in their rooms. And he only really spoke in English to Alexia, Leo, or Carlos when he's here.
"Just some stupid prank nothing serious." Alexia responded in a huff.
"You say that but last week you came here covered in red to the point I thought it was blood, but it was just smashed up tomatoes but was given food colouring gel. Honestly when I saw you, I nearly had a heart attack." David reminded.
Oh how could she forget that she had to spend hours trying to get the smell of tomatoes off her.
"Is there something that you're not telling me Alexia?" David asked with a serious look on his face.
"No it's just some stupid pranks nothing serious dad." Alexia said as she wanted nothing more than to get off the subject.
"Look, I know that I'm not always present because of my job but I do generally care you and if there's something going on in school then I need to know." David asked obviously very concerned about his daughter.
Alexia sighed looking down, "Dad trust me, I'm fine there's nothing going on at school. Now I need to go and get ready for my class Field trip tomorrow." Alexia said as she quickly left to go upstairs to her room.
David sighed and sat at in his chair as he looked at two things.
First, he looked at the picture on the wall and that had him, his children and his late wife, Daniela who was a beautiful women who though short was beautiful with chocolate like brown eyes and similar brown hair was smiling beautifully. By the time that photo was taken, Daniela was very pale because of her heart condition that she contracted when she was a teenager and had gotten worst. Hell giving birth to the twins nearly killed her, but it definitely took years away from her. Eventually her illness finally got to her, and she passed four years ago. David missed her everyday but knew that he had keep going for his family's sake and its what Daniela would have wanted for him to do.
So he would till the day it kills him.
The other thing that he was looking at was the bottles of 'medicine' that he had injected into Alexia ever since he adopted her at her mothers last request.
Or he did because he ran out of it after injecting it into her last year.
And left him extremely worried because it was coming up to the point that the 'medicines' effects are wearing off, he knows that Alexia would soon learn the truth of her past and why those injections as a child growing up was needed.
And it terrified him greatly.
He so wanted to tell her the truth but David was terrified about how Alexia would react, so he was being a cowered and not telling her the truth.
He only can hope that he can gain the courage to tell the truth sooner rather than later.
