Bo smiled at Charlotte in their bed. She had learned how the young shifter walks by now. She was almost sprinting though. Bo thought she might curl up and sleep in between them. She thought wrong and coughed after Charlotte had reached her. She opened her eyes and found several diapers on her chest.
"Are you wet Charlotte? Bo asked.
Charlotte rolled her little eyes and shook her head no.
The new shifter inside of Bo made her instantly cover her nose. "Gross". She said as she climbed out of the bed. Charlotte followed her to the nursery and watched her walk over to Amani.
"Hello baby. Mama's here". Bo cooed as the baby looked up at her. The brunette wondered why she was not crying if she needed to be changed. She found a mess in her diaper that was the obvious cause of the the smell in the room, and throughout the house.
Charlotte tapped her foot on the floor. She was ready to go back to sleep but was not able to sleep smelling that. So, she went to get Bo to change the baby.
Bo smiled. "She's clean now Charly, you can go back to bed".
Charly ran as fast as she could and jump into her own bed. She closed her little eyes and started snoring before Bo decided to give her a bath.
Bo laughed and left the little girls as she walked out of the room. She checked on Ethan and Dillon before returning to her own bedroom.
"You know she's going to do that every time Amani needs changing". Lauren mumbled.
"Oh, I know, and I am looking forward to it! Bo cooed as she wrapped her arms around the Doctor.
Lauren smiled as Bo nearly purred at the touch of the Doctor. "Are you okay Bo?
"I'm fine. Just trying to get used to all of this". Bo whispered.
"We can talk about it, if you want". Lauren turned over to reverse their positions.
"There's nothing wrong Doctor. I am fine with my new abilities". Bo smiled as Lauren blew on the back of her neck.
"Well you were only a Succubus. Your transformation is no different than me going from a human to a shifter". Lauren noted quietly.
Bo winced at the thought. She was sure they were headed to a heated conversation. Lauren losing her humanity was not by choice. Not like Bo wanting to have Lauren's baby.
"It's okay Bo. I know what you are thinking. All I am saying is this was a big step. A big commitment". Lauren spoke softly.
"I'm committed to you Lauren. To them. To all of this". Bo turned her head around to look at Lauren.
"And how does she feel about this? Lauren played with locks of Bo's hair.
Bo smiled a bit and pushed Lauren's chin up with one finger. "She's more than fine with this Lauren".
"I'm sorry. I just worry. About everything". Lauren released Bo. The Succubus turned completely over and climbed on top of Lauren.
"Lauren look at me". Bo said softly.
The Doctor turned her eyes back to Bo. They flashed several colors before returning to her normal color.
"Our friendship to relationship was not an easy road. That is mostly my fault. Hell, I would say it is all my fault. So, I know why you worry. But there is no need to. We are together with a beautiful growing family. So what if I am a shifter now. I am one because of you. You share your life with me, as I share mine with you. There is nothing else I would rather be right now than all that you are too. Probably more. But I love you. All of you. My Succubus and I both love all of you. There is nothing that is going to happen to me that will shame me or regret having Amani". Bo whispered softly as she was nestled just under Lauren's neck.
Lauren rubbed Bo's back as the brunette fell back to sleep as she was. Lauren smiled at the little smile on Bo's face. She looked tired to the keen-eyed Doctor. Lauren gently sighed. Bo had grown in weight, mostly muscle so she was a little heavier than she had ever been in this position on Lauren. She wondered what it would be like for Bo during her first shift. If it would hurt. If her Succubus would rebel against it. She knew she would not hurt Lauren or the kids of course, but Bo's Succubus is like no other Succubus in the world. Traits that were passed on to the kids.
Hades was long gone but there was still a darkness there. She shook her head. Their mothers are good people. They will not ever let them succumb to being assholes like he was. She laid there with Bo in the same position and finally closed her eyes. She needed sleep too. Their lives were about to become a whole lot busier.
Bo gently moved in her sleep but never rolled off the Doctor.
Bo's Succubus: Look I do not have time for bullshit, and you are new to the set. So, understand that I am a territorial bitch. That Doctor and those children will always be my first priority of protection. You can have whatever scraps are leftover.
Her shifter: Under my teeth there will be no need for scraps, not even bones. I was not here for Charlotte, Ethan and Dillon but they will get the same protection as Amani. She's my first of many".
The Succubus: Then we agree. I kick ass first and you dispose of the bodies.
The Shifter: Agreed.
The Succubus. All of the other things we are, will wait their turns.
Bo flinched on Lauren and turned her head in the other direction before falling back to sleep.
Early morning came early. Amani had cried several times. They finally decided to stay up since Charlotte was antsy about her unrest.
Luckily for them Aife had made lots of coffee. The old Succubus never claimed to be an ingredient genius like Lauren. So, she made toast too.
"Up early aren't we? Kenzi smiled as she walked in. Bo gave her a look and she changed her face. "Aunt Kenz can take them for a few days".
"No." Bo said calmly.
Lauren noted Charlotte following everything that they did with Amani. She nearly fell over their oldest a few times.
"Hi Nakedra! Kenzi smiled but Charlotte was not paying her any attention. "Well okay then".
"She's just being a sister". Lauren laughed at Kenzi.
"That kid needs to learn some manners". Kenzi took a glass of juice from Bo and a seat at the table. Not much is going on at the Dennis-Lewis house but tending to kid after kid. Kenzi smiles at Bo learning new things. She fails a few times, but Lauren was there to help her succeed the next time.
She looked at Aife and nearly wanted to laugh at the woman drinking wine straight from the bottle. She had stamina because Kenzi would be half passed out after reaching less than half a bottle.
"Okay. Everyone has been fed and changed". Bo washed her hands in the nearest sink.
Lauren cleared her throat and looked at Bo.
"Aww shhhh. You do not mean? Bo groaned and turned around. "Oh Kenzi….?
"No. These are my best boots and this outfit is new. I will not bathe you know who". Kenzi shook her head no. Absolutely not.
"Oh, for shits sake, I will bathe Charlotte". Aife laughed as she stood. She set the bottle on the table and Bo immediately grabbed it before the boys got to it.
The three laughed as Aife carried a squirming, roaring and screaming Charlotte past them and into the bathroom.
"I thought she would be the clean freak, junior Doctor". Kenzi laughed.
"She still could be one! Lauren playfully smacked Kenzi on the arm.
"You don't think it's a growth problem do you? Bo asked.
"No Bo. This is not mental. She just hates baths right now". Lauren stood beside the brunette.
"But she is already two, going on three. She should be used to them by now". Kenzi stood and watched to see when Aife returned with her.
"Ladies, she just hates to bathe. That will change as she ages." Lauren spoke softly.
"Okay Doc. Whatever you say". Kenzi turned back to the table and took a seat again.
"So Kenz, did you decide? Bo asked as she turned to her.
"I don't know. I just don't know yet". Kenzi frowned.
"Nobody's pushing you Kenzi. We understand". Lauren sat beside her.
"I mean being Fae means I would live thousands of years. I would never see family that has passed on". Kenzi frowned again.
"Take your time. It is your life. Once it is done, you can't go back". Lauren gently patted Kenzi on the shoulder.
"She's right Kenzi. We can wait until you decide. One way or the other. I won't ask again". Bo smiled warmly.
"I appreciate that. Hanging with this little gang of yours is interesting and helpful". Kenzi nodded. "I did tell Hale that I needed more time too".
"Well I won't lie. It is a painful transformation". Lauren bit her lip.
"You okay Lauren? Kenzi asked.
"Yes, I'm fine. I am just giving you a little bit of details". Lauren set back in her chair.
"We don't need to have such a deep seeded conversation right now. Lets go see Amani, she should be up by now". Bo smiled.
"She will have about three guards around her". Lauren laughed as they all stood and walked towards the stairs.
"Probably a fourth". Bo laughed as Lauren went up first.
The women entered the nursery and as expected Charlotte, Ethan and Dillon were all napping on the floor by her crib.
"I wish my life was eat, sleep, and sh..
"Kenz! Bo hissed.
"Well. They have the life". Kenzi laughed.
"They do. Right now. But someday they will grow up and have families of their own. Problems of their own". Lauren smiled looking at their four.
The boys flanked Charlotte. Amani was sleeping on her back with her arms above her head.
"We should let them sleep". Bo whispered as she wrapped her arms around Lauren.
"Yeah and where is Aife? Kenzi asked as she looked around.
"I had to go heal. That little shit bit me again". Aife laughed as she walked in.
"Yeah. I won't be babysitting again until you two have taught her not to do that". Kenzi laughed as she walked out of the room.
"That's your daughter Bo". Lauren gently poked Bo in her side.
"Hey! Bo poked back.
"Technically she's your daughter Lauren. She bit her with her shifter the first time". Kenzi laughed over her shoulder.
"See?! Bo teased.
"She was protecting her brothers. There was nothing wrong with that". Lauren defended.
"Yeah well. The little princess didn't like her bubble bath". Aife laughed as Lauren looked at where he wound used to be.
"And I love those". Bo cooed as she put her chin on Lauren's shoulder and stepped away from her.
The women left the upper level and headed back downstairs. They were up for just a few minutes before the kids went back to sleep. It was almost not fair.
But the four of them loved it. Bo and Lauren have a family that Kenzi and Aife adores.
"So, what's up with the PI business? Do I need to return yet? Bo asked as she took a seat.
"Bo you know you are set for life. Don't come back unless you absolutely want to". Kenzi replied.
"Bo could never work again. She'd always be worried about what the kids were up to or into". Lauren squeezed the brunette's hand.
"Our clientele is boring as hell really. Be glad we are making easy money". Kenzi took a glass of water from Lauren.
"You won't be as bored when Amani gets a little bigger sweetie". Aife eyed Bo.
"They are going to kick y'all's asses". Kenzi held in her laugh.
"Are you that bored Bo? Lauren asked.
"Well they are sleeping, and we have guests". Bo replied.
"Guests? Where? Kenzi asked.
"You know what I mean Kenzi". Bo punched her in the arm.
"No Isabeau. Don't be trying to make another baby this soon". Aife winked.
"Those kids are my life. They are. Twenty-four seven they are my life. Now that they are sleeping, I have time on my hands. I have not been used to that for a long time. Lauren's healed. I am healed. There's literally nothing for us to do right now". Bo gently shrugged.
"Well I know what we could do". Lauren stood.
"And that is? Bo asked.
"We could go outside and see what powers you have now". Lauren replied.
"Oooo she's right. You must have like hundreds of new powers Bo! Kenzi stood excitedly.
Bo froze at the thought. She could be everything that Lauren is now. On one hand it spiked her arousal. But on the other hand, she was not sure what she was yet either. Only her Succubus and shifter seemed present. That dream was not far from her mind. Which is why she was anxious to do something and not sit around feeling them battle for control inside of her.
"Bo? Lauren called out.
"Yes. I'm game. Let's do this". Bo stepped forward. Lauren pulled the patio doors open and gestured for Bo to go out first.
The scene immediately changed. Bo's senses found creatures that she never knew surrounded them. Ants, antelopes. It was all making her shifter salivate. She felt them coming at her. Almost as if they were summoned.
The gang jumped when the glass broke behind them, Charlotte had crashed through the window. She roared and the ground shook beneath them.
"Stop them". Charlotte commanded.
"Stop who? Kenzi asked looking around.
"Them". Aife laughed. There was a gang of beasts just outside of their gate. But they were pulled backwards by Charlotte's group.
"Mama's not ready. Keep them away". Charlotte said before she walked back into the house.
"All hail Queen of the Fae". Aife bowed and laughed.
"That was amazing, and I am going to pop some popcorn and watch it all over again on the video tapes". Kenzi turned and ran into the house.
Lauren gently grabbed Bo's hand and led her into the backyard. They were still going to see what Bo can do now outside of her shifter and succubus.
"Charlotte knows you are not ready for battle yet. But we can see what little things you can do. Like melting something and flying". Lauren spoke softly.
Bo thought of something on her own. She walked to the gate and melted a piece of it. She used fire to put it back together. She was not ready to fly yet but was sure she could.
"Do you want to try shifting? Lauren whispered.
Bo turned around to her. She was not sure if she could do it quietly without calling nature back to them.
"The basement". Lauren gestured as they walked back into the house. Aife nodded to them. She was on the phone calling a repairman for the glass that Charlotte broke. Kenzi gave two thumbs up when Lauren pointed towards the basement. She was not sure what they were about to do, but really did not want to know.
Bo walked down first, and Lauren closed and locked the door behind them.
"I've watched you do it. I just never thought I would need to do it myself". Bo stuttered slightly.
"It hurt like hell the first time. But once you get used to it, it won't hurt as much". Lauren said.
"Do you mind? Bo asked.
"Of course not". Lauren made some room before she shifted.
Bo watched with intensity. Lauren did not scream or cry out in any kind of agony. She walked over to the Doctor and gently touched her head. Chills formed all over her body. She could feel the hairs standing up all over her too.
She walked backwards a few feet and opened her mouth as she had watched Lauren do. Her eyes went blue when the pain was almost unbearable. She felt her teeth growing inside of her mouth. She kept her eyes on Lauren. If she did not know better, she could have sworn she saw some tears hit the ground. Once she saw her paws, she walked over to the mirror and looked inside. Her eyes were still blue, and she looked a little like Lauren does. But she was definitely still Bo.
Lauren watched Bo looking at herself in the mirror. She kept her distance giving Bo all the space that she needed. The doctor in her was making mental notes of everything she noticed with the science part of her. It was such a beautiful sight. Touching was an understatement. Bo could have just stayed a succubus. Stayed who she was born to be. But she is a shifter now so that their child could be.
Bo roared and its shocked Lauren. She looked back at Lauren and ran towards the door. Opening it, she ran up the stairs, screamed Amani's name and ran up the other flight of stairs.
They ran into the nursery and straight to the crib the baby was in her shifter form too. Her eyes were blue, and she was staring dead at Bo.
Lauren shifted to her human form and called for Kenzi. The girl was running in circles. She only stopped when Lauren had said her name a third time.
"Kenzi what happened? Lauren asked.
"I don't actually know. I heard a roar and I thought it was Charlotte, but she was looking at her sister when I shot up here". Kenzi replied.
Lauren nodded and paced back and forth. Aife and Kenzi watched her, while Charlotte, Ethan and Dillon watched Bo and Amani.
"Bo's shifter must be far more advanced than we thought. That means Amani will likely grow faster than our oldest three". Lauren explained when she stopped walking.
"I will call some people. We need to know. Right now,". Aife pulled out her phone again.
Lauren gently touched Bo's face, and she shifted back to her human form. The kids ran over to their parents after Bo had collapsed in Lauren's arms.
