Nightmare Moon continued laughing evilly.
"Seize her!" The Mayor Mare ordered the guards. "Only she knows where the princess is."
"Stand back you foals!" Nightmare Moon shouted. She laughed and used lightning to knock them away. She then turned into mist and made her escape.
It was here that Rainbow Dash finally managed to free herself from Applejack.
"Come back here!" Dash shouted, but Nightmare Moon was already gone. "Nighttime forever?" She then noticed Twilight, Spike, and Luna leaving. "Where are they going?"
Spike was in his bed. "We've gotta stop Nightmare!" But he fell asleep. Twilight tucked him in. "You've been up all night Spike. You are a baby dragon after all."
"What do we do now?" Luna asked.
Twilight then began looking through her books. "Elements, elements, elements. How can I stop Nightmare Moon without the Elements of Harmony?"
Suddenly Rainbow Dash came in. "And just what are the Elements of Harmony?" She asked angrily. "And how did you know about Nightmare Moon's return? Are you a spy? Is that why your hanging out with a human kid?" Suddenly the others came in and Applejack pulled Rainbow Dash back.
"Simmer down Sally she ain't no spy." Said Applejack. "But she sure knows what's going on. Don't ya Twilight?"
"I read all about the prediction of Nightmare Moon. Some mysterious objects called the Elements of Harmony are the only things that can stop her." Twilight said. "But I don't know what they are, where to find them, I don't even know what they do."
"Elements of Harmony a reference guide." Said Luna pulling out a book.
"How'd you find that?" Twilight asked.
"I looked under e."
"Oh." Twilight then read the book. "There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known." She read. "Kindness, laughter, generosity, honesty, and loyalty. The sixth is a complete mystery. It is said the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal pony sisters. It is located in what is now the Everfree Forest." While Twilight read the blue mist was listening and left once she was finished.
"The Everfree Forest what's that?" Luna asked.
"Only the scariest forest ever!" Said Fluttershy.
"How will we survive going there?" Rarity asked.
"Do not worry." Said a voice. "I will watch over you all."
Everyone looked and in a bright flash of light Ancient Fairy Dragon appeared.
"Ancient Fairy Dragon?" Said Twilight. She and the other ponies bowed in respect.
"Rise." She said. They rose.
"Luna I see you've made some friends." Ancient Fairy Dragon said.
This surprised everypony.
"Luna, darling, you know Her Greatness?" Rarity asked.
"If by "Her Greatness" you mean Ancient Fairy Dragon, then yes." She answered.
"How?" Applejack asked.
"I think I can answer that." Said Twilight. "Your mark, Luna."
"What mark?" Asked Rainbow Dash. Luna then rolled up her sleeve to show them her mark of the Crimson Dragon.
"Is that a claw?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"It's the mark of the Crimson Dragon." Twilight said.
"The what?" Asked Applejack.
Twilight then pulled out a book titled "Legend of the Crimson Dragon."
"Let me explain." She opened the book and started reading it. "This all happened five Millenia ago."
"Huh?"
Twilight sighed. "Five thousand years ago."
"Oh."
"Five Millenia ago there were two opposing sides." Twilight read. "One of light one of dark. The light army was an army of Six Legendary Dragons."
"Six dragons?" Asked Rarity. "Are you saying that, Her Greatness is one of them?"
"Indeed I was." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon.
"Yes." Said Twilight. "The dark army was an army of creatures called the Earthbound Immortals."
"The Six Dragons and the Earthbound Immortals gathered for one final battle to determine the fate of the world. The Six Dragons knew individually none of them could win so they had to work together. Combining their powers they called upon their god, the Crimson Dragon. It was a fierce epic battle, like nothing ever before seen, but in the end good triumphed over evil and the seven dragons defeated the Earthbound Immortals. Unfortunately they weren't destroyed. Instead the dragons imprisoned them deep within the earth, sealing them away."
"Wow!" Said Rainbow Dash. "Awesome."
"Thank goodness the dragons won." Said Rarity.
"But alas that's not the end of it." Said Twilight.
"It's not?" Said Fluttershy.
"What else is there?" Asked Applejack.
"Like I said the Immortals were imprisoned not destroyed, so the dragons knew and feared they'd return one day just like Nightmare Moon did. So the Crimson Dragon created six marks one for each dragon and so the marks representing his head, claws, tail, wings, and heart were made and gifted to six beings who would be known as Signers." Twilight answered.
"Wait you're saying Luna's a Signer?" Said Pinkie.
"I am." Said Luna.
"So just like the dragons gave marks to those they deemed worthy, the Earthbound Immortals did the same, and gave marks to ones known as Dark Signers." Said Twilight.
"Oh like the evil alternate version of the Light Signers." Said Dash.
"Exactly." Said Twilight. "So the legend says the war would be recreated with the Signers and Dark Signers with something known as dueling in which they would battle by conjuring real monsters and using real magic."
"So Luna's gonna do all that?" Asked Applejack. "But she's so young."
"True but I still did it." She said.
"You mean the war is over?" Asked Rarity.
"Aha. We won." Said Luna.
"Oh good." Said Fluttershy. "I was worried I was gonna have to add Dark Signers and Earthbound Immortals to the list of things I'm afraid of."
"So why'd you bring Luna to Equestria Your Greatness?" Applejack asked.
"I do not mean to alarm anyone, but Equestria is in danger." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon.
"We know Your Greatness." Said Twilight. "Nightmare Moon is back and she's going to bring everlasting night."
"No Twilight Sparkle." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon. "The threat I speak of is not Nightmare Moon. It is something else."
"What?" Asked Twilight.
"I do not know what it is exactly, but some strange evil from a distant world, is trying to gain access to Equestria so it can conquer it." She revealed.
"What?"
"Sensing this threat I went to ask Luna to come and prepare to defend Equestria when the evil arrives." Ancient Fairy Dragon explained. "But you don't have to worry now, the evil is weak and cannot gain access right now it needs to get stronger just like Luna needs to so she can face it."
"That's good." Said Twilight. "We have enough on our plate already with Nightmare Moon."
"Alright history class is over." Said Rainbow Dash. "To the Everfree Forest."
"And I will watch over all of you from the heavens." Ancient Fairy Dragon promised before vanishing.
With that our heroes went to the Everfree Forest.
Unaware that their entire conversation was being eavesdropped on, not by the mist but by the figure trapped in the Shadow Realm. "So this child is a Signer and Ancient Fairy Dragon was one of the Legendary Six Dragons." Said the figure. "Interesting, perhaps I underestimated her. I best keep my eye on this... Luna."
Soon our heroes made their way to the Everfree Forest.
"Whee, let's go." Said Pinkie Pie.
"Not so fast." Said Twilight. "Look I appreciate the offer but I'd really rather do this on my own."
"No can do sugarcube." Applejack stated. "We sure ain't lettin' any friend of ours go into that creepy place alone, we're stickin' to you like carmel on a candy apple."
"Especially if there's candy apples in there." Pinkie Pie said earning her a confused look from Luna. "What? Those things are good."
Later the team was deep in the forest. "So you guys have never been here before?" Asked Luna.
"Ugh heavens no, just look at it." Said Rarity. "It's dreadful."
"And it ain't natural." Said Applejack. "Folks say it don't work the same as Equestria."
"What that's supposed to mean?" Asked Luna.
"Nopony knows." Said Rainbow Dash trying to scare everyone. "You know why?"
"Rainbow quit it." Applejack told her.
"Cuz everypony who's ever come in has nerver come out!"
Suddenly a gust of blue mist came by and the ledge they were standing on broke."
"AHH!"
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash flew but everyone else fell.
"Fluttershy quick!" Said Dash.
"Oh my goodness, oh my goodness." Fluttershy yelped.
They managed to catch Pinkie and Rarity and Applejack grabbed onto a root. But Twilight and Luna were stuck on the edge.
"Hold on, I'm comin'." Applejack said.
"Applejack, what do we do?" Asked Twilight.
Applejack then noticed something. "Let go."
"Are you crazy?!" Luna asked.
"No I ain't." Applejack assured. "I promise you'll both be safe."
"That's not true." Said Twilight.
"Now listen here." Said Applejack. "What I'm sayin' is the honest truth let go and you'll both be safe."
Without any more argument Twilight and Luna let go and fell.
"AHH!" Only to be caught by Dash and Fluttershy.
"Phew."
Fluttershy had some trouble carrying Twilight. "Sorry I'm not used to carrying more than a bunny or two."
Applejack hopped down and the team was safe and sound on the ground.
However the blue mist was also there and it zoomed to some kind of sleeping animal, waking it and making it roar loudly.
Meanwhile Rainbow Dash was bragging about the rescue. "And once Pinkie Pie and Rarity were safe Fluttershy and looped in and caught you guys right in a nick of time."
Twilight sighed "Yes Rainbow Dash, we were all there, and we're very grateful but we gotta-"
Suddenly they heard roaring.
They all saw a creature with the head and body of a lion, the wings of a bat, and the tail of a scorpion.
"A manticore." Said Twilight. "We gotta get passed it."
Rarity bucked it with her hooves. "Take that you ruffian." The manticore just roared at her, ruining her mane. "My hair."
"Wait." Said Fluttershy quietly.
Suddenly Applejack hopped on the manticore and began riding it like a bronco. "YEE-HAW, get along little doggie."
"It's a kitty not a doggie." Said Luna.
"Wait." Said Fluttershy.
The manticore managed to knock Applejack off of her. "Ahh!"
"All yours partner." She told Rainbow.
"On it."
Rainbow Dash flew towards the manticore whirling around it but the manticore whacked her with its tail.
"Rainbow!" Cried Twilight.
They all began to charge at the manticore but Fluttershy stopped them. "WAIIIIITTTTT!"
She walked up to the manticore and nuzzled it a little. "It's okay."
The manticore then showed her a thorn caught in his paw. "Oh you poor poor little baby."
"Little?" Asked Rainbow.
"Baby?" Said Luna.
"Now this might hurt for jus a second." She said before removing the thorn.
The manticore roared before grabbing Fluttershy.
"FLUTTERSHY!" But the manticore affectionately licked her as a way of showing gratitude.
"Oh, your just a little old baby kitty aren't you yes you are." Said Fluttershy. The others smiled.
After the manticore put her down Twilight spoke to her. "How did you know about the thorn?"
"I didn't sometimes we all just need to show a little kindness." Fluttershy told her.
But the thorn was no ordinary thorn it was really the mist.
Later the team walked through the forest.
"My eyes need a rest from all this icky muck." Said Rarity.
But as they walked deeper into the forest it got darker. "I didn't mean that literally."
"That ancient ruin could be right in front of us and we wouldn't even know it." Twilight said. Unaware the mist was nearby and went to some trees.
"Oh wait I think I stepped in something." Said Applejack.
"AHHH!" Fluttershy screamed.
"It's just mud." Said Applejack. Then she noticed what Fluttershy really screamed at. A tree with a scary face. "AHH!"
Soon everyone screamed at the growling trees. Everyone except Pinkie Pie who just laughed and made funny faces.
"Pinkie Pie what are you doing?" Twilight asked "Run!"
"Oh girls. Don't you see." Pinkie Pie then began to sing.

When I was a little filly and the sun was going down.
"Tell me she's not" Said Twilight.

The darkness and the shadows they'd always make me frown.
"She is." Said Luna.
PINKIE PIE
I'd hide under my pillow from what I thought I saw. But Granny Pie said that wasn't the way to deal with fears at all.
"Then what is?" Asked Rainbow.
PINKIE PIE
She said, "Pinkie, you gotta stand up tall Learn to face your fears You'll see that they can't hurt you Just laugh to make them disappear."
Pinkie then walked up to a tree. "Ha. Ha. Ha." And just like that its scary face disappeared.
This made everyone gasp.

So, giggle at the ghostly. Guffaw at the grossly. Crack up at the creepy. Whoop it up with the weepy. Chortle at the kooky. Snortle at the spooky
As Pinkie sand each and everyone else laughed at other trees until their scary faces vanished too.

And tell that big dumb scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he can scare you then he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna. Pinkie Pie began laughing.
"LAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGH!"

This made everyone drop on the ground laughing hard.
Later they made their way to a rapid river.
"How are we gonna cross this?" Pinkie asked.
"Luna you got anything in that backpack that can help?" Rainbow Dash asked her.
"No sorry." Luna said. "All I got is some snacks, a water bottle, and some other stuff."
"Well we got enough water already." Said Pinkie
Suddenly they heard crying. They all looked and saw a giant Sea Serpent crying.
"Oh what a world." He sobbed. "What a world."
"Excuse me sir why are you crying?" Twilight asked.
"Well I don't know." Said the sea serpent named Steven Magnet. "I was just sitting here, minding my own business when a tacky little puff of blue smoke just whisked past me and tore half of my beloved mustache clean off and now I look simply horrid." He said before wailing some more and accidently splashing water on them.
"Oh give me a break." Said Dash.
"That's what all the fuss is about." Applejack said in disbelief.
"Why of course it is." Said Rarity. "How can you be so insensitive?" She walked up to Steven. "Oh, just look at him. Such lovely luminescent scales."
"I know." Said Steven.
"And your expertly coiffed mane." Rarity pointed out.
"Oh I know." Steven agreed.
"Your fabulous manicure." Rarity said.
"It's so true." Steven said.
"All ruined without your beautiful mustache." Rarity told him.
"Oh It's true, I'm hideous!" Steven cried.
"I simply cannot let such a crime against fabulosity go uncorrected." Rarity told him. And with that she pulled off one's of Steven's scales.
"Ow! What did you do that for?" He asked.
"Rarity what are you-" Everyone gasped when Rarity used the scale to slice some of her own tail off.
Rarity then used magic to wrap the severed tail hair where Steven's mustache would be and made it look good again.
"Oh my moustache how wonderful."
"You look smashing." Said Rarity.
"Oh Rarity your beautiful tail." Said Twilight. "Oh it's fine my dear, short tails are in this season. Besides it'll grow back."
Rainbow then whispered to Twilight. "So would the mustache."
Twilight then saw the river had calmed down. "We can cross now."
As they crossed Steven used his body to make a bridge for them "Allow me." He said as they crossed.
Later they all saw a castle on the other side of the bridge. "There it is the ruin that holds the Elements of Harmony. We made it." Said Twilight.
Twilight ran up but she didn't watch where she was going and didn't see the bridge was disconnected on one side and almost fell off. But fortunately Dash caught her.
"What's with you and falling off of cliffs these days?" She asked.
"Now what?" Asked Pinkie.
"Duh." Said Rainbow gesturing to her wings.
"Oh."
Dash flew to the other side and started to tie the bridge. Suddenly she heard something. "Who's there?" She asked. "I ain't scared of you, show yourself!"
"We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the best flyer in Equestria." Said an ominous sounding voice.
"Who?"
"Why you of course." Said the voice.
"Really?" Said Rainbow Dash. "I mean oh yeah me. Would you mind telling that to the Wonderbolts? Cuz I've been trying to get into that group for like ever."
"No Rainbow Dash, we want you to join us. The Shadowbolts."
Rainbow Dash looked to see three strange ponies in black uniforms. "We're the greatest aerial team in the Everfree Forest and soon we will be the greatest in all of Equestria." Said the leader. "But first we need a captain, the most magnificent, swiftest, bravest flyer in all the lant."
"Yes, that's all true." Dash bragged.
"We need you."
"Woohoo! Sign me up. Just let me tie tis bridge real quick and then we got a deal." Said Dash.
"No, it's them or us." Said the Shadowbolt leader.
Twilight noticed something was wrong. "Rainbow Dash what's taking so long?" She then saw the Shadowbolts. "Oh no, Rainbow don't listen to them." But the fog concealed her.
"Well?"
Rainbow sighed. "You." The Shadowbolts smiled. "Thank you for the offer I mean, but I'm afraid I have to say no." She finished tying the bridge and returned to the others. The Shadowbolts turned to mist and dissapeared.
"See I'd never leave my friends hanging." Said Dash.
Later the team was in the castle and found what they needed.
"The Elements of Harmony." Said Twilight "We found them."
Dash and Fluttershy flew up to retrieve them.
Pinkie noticed soemthing. "There's only five."
"Where's the sixth?" Asked Luna.
"The book said, "when the five are present a spark will cause the sixth element to be revealed."" Said Twilight.
"What in the hay does that mean?" Asked Applejack.
"I'm not sure but I have an idea." Twilight said. "Stand back I don't know what will happen."
"C'mon now y'all she needs to concentrate." Applejack told the others.
They left but when they did the blue mist appeared.
Twilight tried using her magic to get the Elements to work but the mist engulfed them.
"AHH!"
"TWILIGHT!"
"The Elements." Twilight jumped in the mist. They both disappeared as the others came in.
Luna noticed light from a nearby tower. "Look."
"C'mon." They went to aid her.
In the tower Twilight saw Nightmare Moon. She attempted to charge at her.
"You're kidding." Said Nightmare Moon. "You're kidding right?"
The two charged but when Nightmare Moon was away from the Elements Twilight teleported to them.
"C'mon just one spark." It seemed to work as the Elements started sparking.
"No! No!"
But suddenly stopped.
Nightmare Moon laughed before smashing the Elements. "You little foal, thinking you could defeat me. Now you'll never see your princess or sun again. The night will last forever!" She laughed again.
Suddenly Twilight heard something and a sudden realization struck her.
"You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that, well you're wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here."
"What?"
"Applejack who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of honesty. Fluttershy who tamed the manticore with her compassion represents the spirit of kindness. Pinkie Pie who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger represents the spirit of laughter. Rarity who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of generosity. And Rainbow Dash who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of loyalty. The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us." Twilight told her.
"You still don't have the sixth Element, the spark didn't work." Said Nightmare Moon.
"But it did." Twilight answered. "A different kind of spark. I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all are my friends."
"You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the spark that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element the element of magic."
"But I'm afraid you still can't win unless the human child prevails." Said Nightmare Moon.
Suddenly the Elements power faded. "What?"
"You see after being unused for so long the Elements will not work unless their power is refueled by a duel." Nightmare Moon revealed.
"A duel?" Asked Luna.
"She's challenging you." Said Twilight.
"And if I win the Elements will be destroyed and night will last forever."
"Look this is between you and us so leave her alone." Said Rainbow.
"Dash wait." Said Luna. "Fine Nightmare Moon I accept your challenge."
"But Luna darling-"
"It's the only way to get the Elements of Harmony to work, I promise I'll win." Luna vowed.
Luna took out her duel disk and cards from her backpack and Nightmare Moon conjured up her own.

"Every monster has attack and defense points." Twilight began. "The more points a monster has the stronger it is. There's also spell and trap cards, and some monsters have special abilities."
"Yes, now then I summon Aqua Madoor in attack mode."

"I don't know what's worse." Said Rarity. "That tacky robe, the teal skin, or the fact that she has snakes for hair."

"That's right." Said Nightmare Moon. "Snake Hair attack Fairy's Gift with Stone Blizzard!" Nightmare Moon ordered.
And with that Snake Hair fired beams from her eyes into Fairy's Gift's eyes, which caused her to turn to stone and crumble into dust. (Luna: 3900). Luna realized the damage was real and so were the monsters and magic.
"That's not good." Said Fluttershy.
"Don't worry." Twilight told them. "All Luna has to do is summon a monster with sixteen hundred or more attack points and she can destroy Snake Hair."
"Well that all depends whether or not she can summon a monster with sixteen hundred or more attack points." Said Applejack
"We're about to find out." Pinkie Pie told her.
Luna drew. She smiled. "I summon Freed The Brave Wanderer!"

"Watch out Luna, snakes for hair is back." Dash warned.
"Calm down Dash, Luna's warrior still has more points." Said Applejack.
"True but watch as I release Snake Hair, to summon Shadow Ghoul!" Snake Hair then disappeared to be replaced with a more grotesque looking zombie.

"Why would she do that?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"Weren't you paying attention?" Asked Rarity. "Now that gruesome green ghoul gains more attack points."

"It's okay." Twilight assured. "Since that Elf was in defense mode Luna's life points don't take a hit."
"Good." Said Fluttershy.
"But now she has no monsters." Said Pinkie.
"Yeah, and this is probably a bad time to point out that when her field is empty Nightmare Moon can attack Luna directly." Twilight said.
"I end my turn."
Luna drew a card. "I activate the continuous spell Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen." Luna explained. "Now when my field is empty I can special summon one fairy monster from my hand, So I summon Honest."

"Alright!" The others cheered.
"Attack." Ancient Sacred Wyvern shot a beam of light from its mouth destroying the Shadow Ghoul.

"Oh yeah!"
Nightmare Moon was frustrated but then chuckled. "Most impressive I will admit, but you'll need more than that." She said. "My turn I draw."
"I activate my spell card Special Hurricane." Nightmare Moon told them. "So now all the special summoned monsters on the field get destroyed."
Ancient Sacred Wyvern was struck with lightning. It roared in pain before vanishing.
"Uh oh!" Luna said.
"Next I activate my face down card Haunted Zombies." The trap card revealed itself. "So by banishing my Nightmare Horse from my graveyard I can summon two Haunted Tokens whose levels match the monster I banished."

"Luna!" The others screamed in concern.
"Don't worry, I'm fine." Said Luna weakly as she struggled to stay up.
"Well you won't be for long." Nightmare Moon cackled. "One more attack and your finished."
Luna started feeling doubtful. "If I can't beat Nightmare Moon, how can I beat the threat from another world?" She thought to herself
"You can defeat Nightmare Moon." Said a familiar voice in her head.
"Ancient Fairy Dragon."
"Luna summon me and we shall defeat her together."
Luna nodded.
"My turn I draw. I use the effect of Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen and summon Gyakutenno Megami."

"Oh please, what do you have that could possibly threaten my Skull?" Nightmare Moon asked rhetorically.
"This." Said Luna. "By harnessing the magic in both these two and letting them shine, I can call upon the one, the only, the Ancient Fairy Dragon."

Nightmare Moon was shocked. "Your Greatness?"
"Nightmare Moon, it has been a while old friend." Ancient Fairy Dragon greeted her.
"You two know each other?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"We have a history together, yes." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon.
"But how can this be?" Asked Nightmare Moon. "How can this human child wield you?"
"I'll give you one guess Nightmare Moon." Said Twilight.
"The only way I can see this possible is if..." Then she realized it and looked at Luna's arm. "The Mark of the Crimson Dragon."
"Now the effect of Sunny Pixie activates and since I used her to Synchro Summon a light monster I gain one thousand life points." Luna explained.
(Luna: 2200)
"Now their life points are even." Said Twilight.
"Yes, but I'm afraid Her Greatness isn't strong enough to destroy my Skull." Said Nightmare Moon.
"Not yet anyway." Luna told her which made her nervous. "I activate the spell card, Blustering Winds. So now Ancient Fairy Dragon gains one thousand attack and defense points until my next standby phase."

"Now Ancient Fairy Dragon attack Zombie-Skull, with Mystical Flare." Ancient Fairy Dragon shot a green beam at the Skull, vaporizing it.

"I place a card face down and end my turn." Said Luna.
"My turn, I draw. I play the spell Shallow Grave." Said Nightmare Moon. "Now we both bring one monster back in defense mode. I bring back Midnight Fiend."

"At the beginning of your turn Ancient Fairy Dragon's attack points will return to twenty one hundred and she'll be weaker than my Beast."
"She's right and if she destroys Ancient Fairy Dragon, on her next turn I'll be wide open." Luna thought to herself. "I have to make this next move count."
She took a deep breath and drew her next card... She smiled. "Well Nightmare Moon, it's been a good duel, but now it's time to end it." Luna said. "I play, Monster Reborn."
"Oh no!" Screamed Nightmare Moon. "That'll let you bring back any monster in either one of our graveyards."
"That's right." Luna said smiling. "Return, Ancient Sacred Wyvern."
"No, its special ability-" Nightmare Moon started but Luna cut her off.
"Kicks in and I'm sure you know what that means." Luna told her. "Since the difference is six hundred points and my life points are higher, Wyvern gains six hundred points."
(Luna: 2200, Nightmare Moon: 1600, Ancient Sacred Wyvern: ATK: 2700)
"This can't be happening." Said Nightmare Moon.
"And yet somehow it is." Luna told her. "Now Ancient Sacred Wyvern attack Beast of Talwar!"
Wyvern shot its beam at the Beast of Talwar destroying it.
(Nightmare Moon: 1300)
"Now your wide open." Said Luna. "And even though Ancient Fairy Dragon's attack points return to normal, she's still strong enough to wipe you out."
"No! NO!"
"Ancient Fairy Dragon attack Nightmare Moon directly, Mystical Flare!" Ancient Fairy Dragon shot her green beam at Nightmare Moon wiping out her remaining life points.
(Luna: 2200, Nightmare Moon: 0, LUNA WINS)
Ancient Fairy Dragon was still there. But Wyvern dissapeared.
Suddenly the Elements began powering up. The six ponies began harnessing their power and the Elements transformed into necklaces and a crown that matched each cutie mark of the intended wearer. A rainbow blast hit Nightmare Moon.
"NO!"
There was a huge flash of light and when it was gone everyone was on the ground.
"Is everypony okay?" Applejack asked as they got up.
"Oh, thank goodness." Rarity said as she realized her tail had grown back.
"Why Rarity, it's lovely." Said Fluttershy.
"I know, I'll never part with it again."
"No I mean your necklace." Fluttershy corrected her. "It looks just like your cutie mark."
"Why, so does yours." Said Rarity.
"Look at mine! Look at mine!" Pinkie cheered.
"Aw yeah." Said Rainbow.
"Gee Twilight." Said Applejack. "I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of hooey, but I reckon we really do represent the elements of friendship."
"Indeed you do." Said a voice. They all looked and the sun rose. Then a white Alicorn, with a flowing blue, green, and pink, mane and tail appeared. She was wearing a golden crown and necklace and her cutie mark was a sun. Everyone except Twilight, Luna, and Ancient Fairy Dragon bowed to her.
"Princess Celestia." Twilight walked up to her. they hugged.
"Twilight Sparkle, my most faithful student." Princess Celestia said. "I knew you could do it."
"But you told me it was all an old pony tale."
"I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more." Celestia explained. "I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart. Now if only another will as well."
Princess Celestia then turned to Ancient Fairy Dragon and bowed. "Your Greatness."
"Princess Celestia, rise." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon.
"It has been a while since I last saw you, right before you left to fight in the Great War." Celestia said before noticing Luna. "And I take that this human child, who is also a Signer, is the one you summoned to defend Equestria from the threat trying to gain access."
"You know about that?" Asked Luna and Twilight in unison.
"Yes, Ancient Fairy Dragon talked to me about it earlier."
"Indeed she is, Celestia." Ancient Fairy Dragon told her. "But we will discuss more on that topic later, right now there is someone here, who I think you should have a word with."
"Yes." Said Celestia. They all looked to where Nightmare Moon had been, only to see she had been replaced with another Alicorn, who looked like a less menacing version of Nightmare Moon. "Princess Luna."
"Huh?"
"It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this." She told the other alicorn. "Time to put our differences behind us, we were meant to rule together, little sister."
"Sister?"
"Will you accept my friendship?" Celestia asked her sister.
Everyone looked nervous and Pinkie even fell over.
Princess Luna got up and ran up to Princess Celestia. "I'm so sorry! I missed you so much big sister!" She said crying.
"I've missed you too." Princess Celestia said also crying.
Pinkie Pie sobbed and blew her nose, before realizing something which made her happy. "Hey you know what this calls for?" She asked. "A party."
They were all back in Ponyville celebrating, Twilight reunited with Spike, and two young Pegasi put roses around Princess Luna's neck.
Twilight looked a little sad though. "Why so glum my faithful student?" Celestia asked. "Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in Canterlot?"
"That's just it." Said Twilight. "Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them." The others looked sad.
"Spike, take a note please." Said Princess Celestia. Spike did as he was told. "I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle shall take on a new mission for Equestria. She must continue to study the magic of friendship. She must report to me her findings from her new home in Ponyville."
Everyone cheered. "Oh thank you, Princess Celestia." Said Twilight. "I'll study harder than ever before."
Luna smiled but then started to look down. Twilight noticed this. "Luna you alright?"
"Yeah, it's just, you know how Ancient Fairy Dragon brought me here because of the you know what?" Asked Luna, not wanting the innocent ponies of Ponyville to know about the threat against Equestria.
"Yeah." Said Twilight.
"Well she said she wouldn't be able to take me home until after it'd been taken care of, so I'm kind of stuck in Equestria." Luna said. "Which I don't mind all that much, but I kind of don't have a place to stay."
"Oh." Twilight looked sad but then got an idea. "How'd you like to stay with me and Spike at the Golden Oaks Library?"
Luna smiled. "You mean it?"
"Of course we are friends after all." Twilight told her.
"Oh, thank you Twilight." Luna said hugging her which Twilight happily accepted. Pinkie walked up to them.
"Isn't this exciting?" She asked. "Are you excited cause I'm excited I've never been so excited. Well except for that one time when I went all "HUH!" but really who can top that."
Luna and Twilight just smiled at her.
The End...Or is it?
We cut to the Shadow Realm. The mysterious figure had been watching the whole thing through an opening. "It appears I did underestimate this child." The figure said. "I thought for sure Nightmare Moon had her finished but low and behold she makes a comeback." The figure said before realizing something. "Or was it pure luck, because the way I see it, if she hadn't drawn Monster Reborn during the final turn, who knows how the duel could have ended?" The figure knew what it had to do. "There's only one way I can be sure, I must watch her duel again. Only then will I know for certain, how good she really is and if she does have the capability to stop me."
We then see a creepy pair of brown eyes in the darkness of the Shadow Realm and here a small, evil chuckle.
Author's Note: So yeah this is the beginning. So I wanna cover a few things. First is that not every chapter will have a duel, sorry. Second is that I'm not gonna be rewriting every episode, I will skip some, it won't always be because I don't like the episode, but because there's not much for me to work with or change even if I do like it, but they still occur in the canon. Also expect many big changes and surprises. Also in order to avoid confusion Human Luna is just Luna while Pony Luna is Princess Luna. One other thing the cards look the way they do in the games with English description.
