AN: This was a bit challenging that I ever wrote, regarding of how to bring the attack at the convention. I was also working at schools in the while. Yet, I usually intent to visualize my chapters with my outline structure. Anyway Here's my third chapter's second part. Hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 3: The Raid Part 2: The Attack

Back at the gaming station. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Anne and Sprig just finished Super Smash Brawl. Sprig, on the other hand, was a bit angry. "That dang game was rigged!" Sprig angrily said as he throws his hands in the air, "I can't even beat one player!"

"That's usually how this game goes, Sprig," Anne said, "You played to survive and who's the best player!"

"Human games are very weird," Sprig said, "why can't it be more like….sneak attack. Like remember how we took back Newtopia before Andria revealed his true color?"

"Oh yeah," Anne said, "but maybe with more challenging like expect the unexpected , you know?"

Just as she said it and before Sprig get to answer, something went…

THUD!

The ground shaked the gamers and participants as they paused their activity. Anne and sprig looks at each other, shared with confused/shocked expression.

"What was that?" Sprig asked.

"It must've come from outside!" Anne said.

They went out of the gaming area to trace the source, along with everyone.

In the costume area, everyone paused theirs as they felt the shake. Molly, Libby, Star, and Mabel gone out to see.

In the auditorium, Marco and Dipper felt the ground as it was erupted. Everyone then run out with everyone to see outside, including scientists.

At the cafe, Pacifica, Sasha and Amity felt the shake. They shared their confuse and shocked expression to each other. They then saw everyone heading towards outside.

"What's going on?" Amity said, "Is this part of Fresno's usual activity?"

"I don't think so," Sasha said.

"Let's check what's up," Pacifica suggested, "must been an earthquake." The trio head towards outside with everyone.

Outside of the convention, everyone scans the area for the source of the shake. Five police officers surrounds the fairground for protection. Marcy, along with Hop-pop, Polly, Grime, Olivia and Yunan, stood out as she looks around. The amphibians were confused as they're still new.

"What was all that shaking?" Hop-pop said, "Is it one of those Termites? Olms? (Gasped) or even ZOMBIE!?"

"It's neither of them Hop-pop," Marcy assured, "It must've been an earthquake, but a quick one."

"How long does this earthquake usually last?," Olivia asked.

"Well, usually like five or more minutes," Marcy answered, "but they're usually-"

Then,…BOOM!

Everyone looks around where the source was until one of them, a cosplayer of Avatar series, spotted it.

"Look!" A cosplayer shouted, "Over there!" He pointed over somewhere not too far. Everyone looks there and saw something.

An abandoned building, once a hospital and asylum, is now blown apart as fire erupted as fireballs began to spread as they were shot out like a slingshot around the area. A fireball or two aimed towards the convention, panicked the crowds. A Chief Police officer gave the order.

"Everyone back inside!" Chief Officer shouted as everyone began to run back inside. As they got inside, security guards and police officers barricaded the doors. While the crowds attempted to hide or stand down to protect. Molly and Libby hid under the table with Mabel and Star. Marco and Dipper hid underneath a table while spotted Mabel and Star. Pacifica, Amity and Sasha attempted to find a hiding place under the booth table. Luz and Amity hid at the cafe with others while Anne and her amphibian friends hid with her at the cafe. Marcy hid under her booth. Everyone hide around the convention, in other buildings, auditorium, rooms as well. The fireballs then made an impact, only to hit over at the pirate playground, and over at the other entrance.

The police officers armed themselves with pistols as they secured the area. One of them gave everyone a quiet order. "Everyone," the Chief officer said, "stay hidden and quiet until further notice." The officers then aimed their weapons towards the doors and windows for any more threats.

They see smokes and clouds. They stand their ground. For a while, they heard nothing. Then, they heard the sound of an electrical humming, almost like a growl from above. Everyone heard them as well.

"What the hell is that?" Asked one of the officers.

"I don't know," the Chief officer replied, "but stand your ground, officers."

They were confused and scared. The louder the humming makes, the more scared everyone feels.

"Give them our warning," the Chief officer ordered.

Officers gave a warning shot towards the ceilings as the humming was getting close. They stood their ground. After a moment, the humming sound died down. It was nothing but silence in the room. Too quiet.

"Whatever it was," the chief Officer broke the silence, "sounds like it's gone, but just in case." One of his fellow officers, Mark, grabbed his radio from his belt, making contact.

"Officer Mark to all available officers," Officer Mark said, "We need some backups over at the fairground. We might possibly have 10-"

Suddenly, KABOOM!

The ceilings exploded, resulted in few holes, rubbles fell towards the ground, missed most people while some were injuries. The officers faced down while standing their ground.

"TAKE COVER AND FIRE AT THE HOLES!" The chief Police ordered his men. Officers then aimed their weapons towards the holes, shooting upward. After a few moment, bullets filed down through the holes, aimed towards the police and security officers, killing some of them.

Then, ropes dropped to the ground, and a ten dark red and black-military clothes figures slid down the ropes. It's the troopers of the Pandacons and Captain James. As they reached the ground, they pulled out their magazine weapon. They then shot remains of the officers. Everyone was terrified of the shooting. Captain James, who came down last, looks around and sees the participants hiding.

"No need to fear, everyone," Captain James addressed, "We just came to take back our stolen item. You move, speak, or fight, you'll join with these fallen officers." He turned to his men. "You five, stay guard the doors and the participants for any trouble," Captain James ordered, "Rest of you, with me now."

Captain James took his group as they begin to head over to the auditorium, while some of them stayed put. Marcy then noticed a symbol on the trooper's left biceps as they had a symbol. It's the symbol of the Pandacons. She gasped as she covered her mouth, which was noticed by her friends.

Over at the auditorium, Captain James entered the stage as they approached the sealed steel box. He noticed the lock, which was a silver keypad. Captain pulled up his hand which was shifted into a scanner. It was a nano-technology , which scan the lock to reveal the code: 8920. He typed it in and it was unlocked as the lid pops up, revealing the item: Locator. He grabbed it as he grabbed his radio.

"Target is secured, sir," Captain James said. He had a response from the radio. It was The Dark Minder

"Well done, Captain," The dark Minder said through the radio, "Now, do as you please and then, return back to our hideout. For the Pandacons"

"Yes sir. For the Pandacons," Captain James said as he put away his radio to his belt. He tilt his head to the right, signaling his men to head back with him following.

Back at the convention, everyone panicked quietly as they were surrounded by the troopers. Libby was shaking while Molly hugged her despite being scared as well to comfort her crush. Luz hugged Amity as both were scared of the situation.

Hop-pop and Grime were hugging each other as they were shaking in fear. Olivia was worried as she grabbed on her Yunnan. Polly was a bit terrified as she had never been in this situation before.

"Okay so, we are basically trapped here?," Polly said, "Is this what humans do around? Well, I usually love violence, but this is way worse than Amphibia had thrown us. But, we'll be okay, right? Marcy?"

Marcy, on the other hand, was inhaling and exhaling out quietly. She paced it fast that Polly snapped her out by slapped her in the face.

"Marcy, take it easy!" Polly said quietly, "you're going crazy, lady!"

"Polly!" Hop-pop, Grime, Olivia and Yunnan said.

"Hey! Knock it off!" A Pandacon trooper said, approaching Marcy's table and banged on the table's surface, "or I'll pull the trigger." He returned to his post.

Olivia and Yunnan looked over at Marcy as she begin to calm down. They seemed concerned with her, so they begin to ask.

"Are you okay, master Marcy?" Olivia asked.

Just when Captain James returned, the troopers turned to their Captain.

"Alright, Pandacons. We got the item," Captain James said, "and now, let's finish his last kill, shall we?"

Everyone were quivering with fear as they heard of this.

"Get me Doctor Shaun," Captain ordered.

Two Troopers then approached the cosplayer and dragged him towards the captain despite struggling to get out. Then, two more troopers brought in Dr. Shaun towards him. They placed them in handcuffs and made them sat down in front of him.

"May I have your attention. This man here had stolen this item," Captain James said as he held up the Locator, "It belongs to my supervisor years ago, The Dark Minder." Everyone gasped when the name was mentioned.

Captain James kneeled down to face his victims, eye leveling with them as he pulls out his pistol.

"Any last words, thief?" James said as he faced the Doctor.

"Please, I didn't want this, I swear," Doctor pleaded with mercy as tears coming down from his eyes.

"Should've think of the consequences, professor," James said as point the pistol to the doctor's forehead, pulled the trigger and shot towards the doctor, killing him. The lifeless body fall down, with bloods coming out from the forehead. Everyone were shocked as they just witnessed a famous professor being shot to death. After a moment, Luz then gets up, after having a mixture feelings of sad and angry towards the captain although Amity was worried..

"You MONSTER!" Luz shouted, "you can't kill off someone because he stole this machine! It's unfair!" Everyone looked at her, surprised. Sprig did the same, yet Anne attempted to stop him. It was too late.

"Yeah, like this human said," Sprig said, "it's wrong to kill off someone over that useless tech thingy!" Everyone gasped at the disguised frog boy as the troopers looked at him, including the Captain who was angered by this.

"This tech thingy is much more than what you think," Captain said, "much like you, Frog boy."

Sprig looks confused at his statement. Anne, Sasha, Marcy, the planters and others were shocked.

"Yes, we know who you are, Sprig Planter," Captain James said. Everyone were confused and surprised. Anne, however, was terrified to hear this random killer knowledge of her amphibian best friend.

"I am not a frog," Sprig lied, attempting to hide his identity, "I'm just a human, just been a small boy since birth."

"We have watched you and your kind for a while now," Captain said, "and I noticed you're not the only ones here."

Just as he said this, He pointed his pistol towards Sprig, and shot towards him. As Sprig covered himself, he was not ready to die. Good thing it wasn't his fate. Sprig looks at the bullet, almost close to his face. Yet it was surrounded by purple magically orb, holding the bullet, like it was levitating. The orb then send it up towards the ceiling. Everyone were stunned to witness this moment as they looked towards Luz, who had her staff in her hand. Anne stood up, Molly followed even Mabel and Star, all shocked to see her. Pandacons were actually shocked to witness Luz's magic, even Captain James.

"Luz Noceda?" It can't be!" Captain whispered to himself. He then turn to his men. "Fire at Luz," Captain ordered. Without hesitation, the troopers begin to fire at Luz, who blocked their shots. Anne, who just grabbed sprig out of harm's way, used her Zelda's shield to deflect the shots towards Luz. Molly then pulled out her shield of a knight, as she deflected the bullets. The trio stood almost inches away, yet close. Everyone, who hides, took a peak and looks surprised, including Libby, Amity, Sasha and Marcy. The Pandacons were stunned. They were shocked. Captain tapped his ear, as nanotechnology shift to his right eye, changed into a goggle, which scans the trio. Moment later, it said, "Frqiluphg pdwfk! Hqhpb frqiluphg: Wkuhh ri vla vwduv!" The goggle then reduced it back.

"This can not be," Captain James stated in fear.

The police sirens can be heard far distant as they approach. The captain and his troops heard them and face the trio for the last moment.

"This isn't over," Captain James said, "Enjoy your time like you had at Figarden years ago." He then turned to his troops. "LET'S RIDE!," James commanded.

The troops shouted out, "YEE-HAA!", "HELL YEAH!", "YAHOO!", and "ALRIGHT!", as they begin to pounded their chest, activating their nanotechnology which was shift into a jet pack on their back. Captain James got his jet pack and flew out the ceiling hole, followed by the troopers, left the scene.

Everyone gets out of their hiding place, processing what just happened. Just as Luz, Anne and Molly, their thoughts were swimming around in their heads, regarding the last statement from James. What does he means? They thought. The trio looks at each other, Did they met before? Why did they left?

Marcy, on the other hand, had her mind running in fear. What was in her mind? Why was she terrified of the Pandacons?

AN: As i wrote this, I had to take an inspiration from other media, like cloverfield and A bug's Life, just some elements for this, like the entrance and out. Just to give it a bit dark tone to the story, with deaths, and such.

The reason I used the scores from A Bug's life, it's just to give this dark vibe for the Pandacons as fearsome factions, almost identical to the grasshopper gang as they were the darker version of these insects, along with other inspiration, such as Terrorcons from Transformers: ROTB. Thought it was cool in my mind.
