quick authors note: I know its been a lot of years but I have had three children in all that time and been a little busy but I now have sometime to myself again and will try to get this story finished for anyone who is still interested, only I know how annoying it is to live with unfinished story when you have invested some time in it. with that said here is my next update. I would like I haven't written in a long time and I also couldn't really remember where I was taking the story next so hopefully its not to awful.
"You look beautiful today you know" Phil's soft voice whispered into her ear as she moved softly around the dance floor, his eyes glancing down to her red satin dress showing off her sinfully curved body
"Oh, stop trying to charm me Phil" Anna giggled as she spun out from him her eyes landing on Steph and Davey nearby dancing together and then to another couple who had closed in to them as well, her eyes darting quickly over them seeing how the blonde was clinging to her once closest friend
"never" Phil smirked as he pulled her close to him again, his dark eyes scanning down her face which was now sporting a very cute pink hue from his comments or from how close he was holding her either way he was happy with her response to himself, he had missed her terribly since the last time they had seen each other in person, and although they wrote to one another often and he called when he could he longed to have something more with her, he had never met a more beautiful woman who was as stunning on the inside as she was on the outside
"You know it wouldn't work well between us, your always on the road and am still in school" she sighed as she looked up at the handsome man, her insides giving a little jump at the look in his eyes, she had always had a soft spot for him, and she did like him. She always waited eagerly for his calls and letters, and he was not shy about pushing for there to be more between them but the life on the road was hard and she didn't want to commit to something that would always be hard with his traveling and work commitments. She knew that if she let herself, she could find herself easily in love with the sandy haired man but taking that jump was always scary especially knowing how hard that would be and then with her recent troubles in her love life or lack off she didn't think she could take more disappointment if anything went wrong.
"I know but for tonight let's forget about that and we can just enjoy being together for now, but I hope you know I won't stop trying" he whispered again into her ear, his body now plush against her own making her blush deepen
"I have to sing again in a moment, would you like improv a song with me?" Anna glanced up at him with a sly grin, she could feel another set of dark eyes hitting the back of her head but she was going to take her sisters advice and ignore all that for today, Ashlyn was right why should she allow one boy to dictate her life the way she had, he thought he could tell her what she could and couldn't do, who she could be friends with and even if it had been threw jealousy which she doubted as he was still here with Paulette, well it still didn't mean he was good for her, she was finally going to make him prove it to her for a change instead of waiting around for him to notice her.
"So, what are we singing" Phil smiled brightly at the younger girl as she grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the stage where her brother and sister where just finishing up another song

Johnnys dark eyes stayed glued to the small dark haired girl as she rushed on to the stage with her famous friend, he couldn't believe she was dancing with another guy right in front of him after they had kissed the other day but then he heard the nasally voice of the girl who was wrapped around him like an octopus on a rock
"Would you like to go back to my place after this Johnny baby, my mom and dad aren't going to be home till later" Paulette whispered to him in what he assumed she thought was a seductive voice, however he just found it grated his already frayed nerves
"You don't want to stay for the rest of the party?" he asked glancing down to her quickly before letting his eyes dart back over head and back to the real object of his affections who was setting up to sing a duet with the guy he may have lost her too. He knew it was his own fault she had pretty much admitted her feelings to him and he had kissed her but then she ran and like an idiot he didn't follow her, he should have stormed back in to school ditched Paulette straight away and then followed Anna home and told her how he felt right away but as soon as he got back to the school and saw the way everyone was staring at him with those judgemental faces he went straight back in to his bad boy mask and went and kissed Paulette in front of the dinner hall. It wasn't his proudest moment, and he was sure that it got back to Anna as Steph and Rhonda had looked at him like he was the devil himself afterwards, even Goose looked bothered by his behaviour but there wasn't anything he could do to change it all now.
"Why would I want to stay while you spend the night watching another girl" Paulette sobbed loudly causing a few of the other dancing couples to turn and look their way, he felth his face flame at her loud accusation, why did she always have to make everyting so loud and public
"Paulette don't make a scene" he snapped as he looked down at her again as she started crying loudly, he hated seeing her cry and he hated knowing he was the cause of it but he just didnt know how to fix this situation he had gotten himself in to
"you are such a jerk Johnny Nogerelli" Paulette shouted as she turned and stormed away from him leaving him embarrassed in the middle of the dance floor, his eyes darted around the room, catching the eyes of the two people on the stage, one looking confused and hurt by the outburst he had just been a part of and the other looking smug as though he knew that Johnny had just made the gap between him and Anna even bigger pushing Phil even closer to her then before
"yo Johnny you, ok?" Davey's voice spoke beside him breaking him out of his moment staring at Anna
"Yeah, you know chicks, they are all crazy" Johnny laughed a little trying to play it off as nothing, but his insides were churning like he had curdled milk in his stomach
"well maybe if you stopped being stupid and trying to make yourself look good and actually go after the person you really want this wouldn't have happened and you wouldn't keep hurting everyone" Steph snapped as she grabbed Davey's hand and marched closer to the stage where Frenchy, Marty and Sandy all stood talking to the beautiful bride.
Johnny let his dark eyes glance up at the stage once more as he heard her beautiful voice pour over him like warm honey, although he then felt the sting of a hundred bees when another voice started to blend with hers and it wasn't his, shaking his head at his own stupidity he turned and trudged towards the bar hoping he could hide over there whilst still watching Anna from a far

"so, everybody my good friend Aaron has asked me take over the singing for a little while, so I hope you all are enjoying your night so far" an accented voice carried over the microphone causing Goose to stand up from his seat and stare straight at the stage

"Rhonda come on its Roy" Goose called excitedly grabbing his girlfriend's arm and dragging her on to the dance floor to dance as close to the stage as they could get without being on it
"What do you think would happen if we introduced him to Roy?" Ashlyn smirked as glanced over to her sister who was sitting with the younger Everly brother, her smile climbing a little as she looked at how her sister blushed under his gaze, not seeming to even notice other people at the table until someone spoke to them breaking their little bubble
"I don't know baby I think his head might explode" Kenickie laughed from beside her
"Goose is certainly a character" Anna giggled as she felt everyone's scrutinising gaze fall to her and the handsome man who had been keeping her company all evening
"You seem to have built yourselves a bit of a family here" Dons voice called from the other side of the table, his own eyes watching the bride a little with regret that he hadn't worked quicker on his own desires on her but happy that his younger brother seemed to have been brave enough to approach Anna
"We really have landed on our feet with our friends here, and obviously I have been lucky in other ways" Ashlyn smiled as she grasped at Kenickie's hand feeling him tense a little every time Don spoke to her
"I can see that, but I guess it all depends on timing" Don smiled sadly as he glanced towards the dark-haired woman and then to their younger siblings who once again seemed to be whispering their own conversation and ignoring everyone else
"Life is all about timing Don you know that" Ashlyn smiled as she got up from her seat dragging her new husband behind her and heading out on to the dance floor
"Is every other man in this room in love with you?" Kenickie growled in her ear as they moved closer together as Roy's velvety voice started another song

"I doubt it but you never know, besides it's not my fan club that's the problem anymore I am more worried about my sisters" Ashlyn smirked as she glanced towards her sister who was now getting up to dance again with Phil, and then swinging her eyes around the room to where Johnny sat looking like a rain cloud was hanging over his head while he glared at the rather cute couple just starting to dance
"Do you want me to go and speak to him?" Kenickie asked as he followed where her eyes had wandered to, the bar seemed to have a few broken hearts around it as his eyes found the sky-blue gaze of Frank and the dark eyes of Don looking back at him also
"I think it will do him some good to stew in his own juices for once, that boy needs to learn to grow up and learn girls aren't his play things, if he doesn't then he isn't good enough for my sister and I don't want him near her" Ashlyn frowned as she felt a hand on her arm causing her to pause
"May I have this dance with his lovely lady please" a voice drawled from beside the pair
"of course, you can" Kenickie smiled at his new brother-in-law, Ashlyn smiling brightly at him as he placed her hand in her big brother's hand and he turned and headed over to their previously vacated table to where his best friend and his pretty blond girlfriend had just seated themselves
"he seems like a good guy" Alan grinned cheekily down at his beautiful sister, he hoped this worked out for her, if anyone deserved good things in life it was Ashlyn, she had always been the strong one, the one they all depended on, the one who kept it all together and it was about time she had something special of her own.
"He is, a little stubborn and pig headed occasionally but that's something i know how to handle" Ashlyn giggled lightly at the fake shocked face that sprouted on her older brother's face
"that's not a nice thing to say about our siblings, i mean how would they feel if they knew you were talking about them that way" Alan laughed as he thought about how he had never seen his sister seem so happy and relaxed.
"Oh, hush you, I am so happy you could all make it, I have missed you all so much" Ashlyn sighed as she leaned her head on the taller man's chest
"We have all missed you too, especially your cooking" Alan grinned as his other brother and wife danced a little closer hearing his comments "you know I am wasting away with Joans terrible cooking"
"Alan, you shut your mouth" Ashlyn snapped playfully seeing her sister-in-law roll her eyes at the comment
"You know he always tells me that, but I just think you set to high a standard for me" Joan laughed her eyes sparkling as she glanced between the siblings
"Yeah, Ash you are a hard act to follow with regards to cooking, I don't know what I will do if you and kenickie move out, I will waste away" Aaron added cheekily
"How did this become my fault" Ashlyn frowned lightly as she felt a giggle trying to burst from her chest
"You know they can never be blamed for things and i forgot how much worse they are together" Joan smirked as she looked at the indignant look that passed over the brothers faces, so alike and yet so different
"You right, I am off to see my husband and rest these tired feet of mine and you lot can complain about how I spoiled you all too much while I am away" Ashlyn laughed as she walked herself off the dance floor
"She seems happy" Joan commented as she watched the younger woman join the table and smile at her friends and husband
"Yeah, they both do" Aaron grinned as he placed his arm around his brother and sister-in-law and headed back to the table, they had all been sitting at

"Hey Kenick, you having a good time, I don't think I have ever seen you smile so much" Danny smirked as he passed his friend a drink from the table and pulled his girlfriend into his side
"Congratulations again Kenickie, you and Ashlyn look both so happy I just know you're going to have a lovely marriage" Sandy smiled brightly at him
"thanks Sandy" Kenickie smiled back before he turned back to his friend "the only thing is this stuff going on with Nogerelli, its bothering Ashlyn which means its bothering me and I want to take the stupid twerp into the garden and beat the hell out of him for causing a scene here today and for treating the girls the way he is"
"what's been going on? We are a bit out of the loop on this mate, we haven't been around as much with us both now working" Danny frowned at his friends concerned tone
"he is playing all the girls off each other, he is still chasing Stephanie, playing around with Paulette and then trying to keep in with Anna even though she admitted she had feelings for him and he hasn't acted on it, although if you look at him over there you can see her being with someone else obviously bothers him" Kenickie frowned realising he was starting to sound like a chick but this stuff was affecting his family now and he didn't like seeing his girls sad
"you know I heard from a little bird that one Stephanie Zenonie was swept of her feet by a very handsome and mysterious rider at the bowl-a-rama the other weekend" Frenchy smirked as she sat herself down at the table with her best friends, she and Ashlyn had caught the tale of end of what Kenickie was saying as they joined them
"I also heard this tale, I think we could use this our advantage" Ashlyn smiled as she looked to the two other girls
"What does Steph liking another rider have to do with anything?" Danny asked the dark-haired girl his frowning face showing his confusion
"we set up a meeting, maybe at the beach so that everyone has to travel past Stephs dads garage, we make sure that Stephs working that day and not long before the meet up we send Micheal to drop in on her, and we ask Davey to make sure that the boys, drop in around the same time and see what Johnny does? If I guess right, he will not be happy about losing another one of his playthings" Ashlyn explained
"How does this help us?" Danny asked seeming lost in the conversation
"Well, when he then turns up at the beach after seeing them together, he will probably be moaning about it and then you have your chance to then talk to him about his behaviour and how what he is doing isn't right" Sandy answered softly her hand brushing over his in a comforting gesture
"Right, I see but would that even work, wont it just make him worse?" Kenickie asked glancing between the three women
"The point is to make him worse; he needs to feel bad about what he is doing and he isn't going to learn that by just being told its wrong he needs to feel like he is losing everything, so he knows that his behaviour is wrong" Frenchy answered as she felt a soft hand brush over her shoulder and then a body drop in to the seat next to her as Doody, Sonny and Marty then joined them
"Did you girls used to plan things like this when we were all in school?" Danny asked suddenly wondering if all the things that happened between the two groups in the past year or so had been set up or had been coincidence
"Oh, we are a dab hand at making things work the way we want them, aren't we girls?" Frenchy giggled as she glanced between all her friends all of them catching each other's eye with a knowing smile gracing each of their lips
"You lot are terrifying sometimes you know" Sonny laughed loudly reaching out to grab his drink from the table
"You have no idea" Ashlyn smirked back at the dark-haired boy
