Chapter 105: What Are We Waiting For:

Sonic's POV:

Hey there, the name's Sonic the Hedgehog! Allow me to tell you, my story. It all started on the Planet Mobius when Dr. Robotnik tried to take the Master Emerald, but when I tried to stop him, someone or something activated Chaos Control and now we're all on Earth. First, we had to get the Chaos Emeralds before Dr. Robotnik's other half, Dr. Eggman could... then we had to do that again, but this time, we had to save the world from Shadow and then Metal Sonic which was two years ago. Then we had to find the Chaos Crystals before Lyric could. Then, me, Shadow, and this hedgehog from the Future named Silver had to save the world from Mephiles the Dark. The Lyric and Mephiles thing was a year ago in fact. Anyway, Tails picked up something strange and I'm going to take a look.

Sonic: I'm the dude with the attitude
My shiny blue quills and power red shoes
Those badnik ways are not for me
Gonna catch Robotnik and bring him to his knees

Gonna take Tails and Sally too
Here is the plan, here's what we're gonna do

I then arrived at the destination. "I wonder what happened here," I said.

"Sonic the Hedgehog, we meet at last."

I then took a look. Whoever this guy is, he has a jet-black legless body with three red bestial eyes, twin wide horns with red tips, a set of spines on his scalp, three-fingered paws with claws, and no lips. He was wearing a dark brown worn robe with black-brown shoulder pads and golden accents, a maroon drape scarf with tattoo markings hanging from the back, golden chains with a set of silver-spiked medallions possessing a gem, and a double black cord necklace with red, blue and purple ornaments on one and golden and silver pendants on the other.

"What are you," I asked.

"You can call me Black Doom."

"I hate to be the one to tell you this," I said, "but someone's already using the name 'Doom'."

"I've heard so much about you, Sonic," says Black Doom, "the Fastest Thing Alive, the Legendary Blue Hedgehog, the Knight of the Wind, the Ibis Trigger-"

"Hey, it was my death that activated him," I said, "and it was one time! So, you a fan?"

"You could say that," says Black Doom, "it would be an honor to be the one that will cause your demise!"

"You can try," I said, "but it's not going to be easy."

I then took this guy on. I did a spin dash... but Black Doom gets out of the way, using Chaos Control. I was surprised. I then fell on the ground.

"I take it your confused," says Black Doom, "but things are going to get more confusing." Black Doom then holds up a crystal.

"Is this like the Chaos Emeralds, Chaos Crystals, or Sol Emeralds," I asked.

"This is the Phantom Ruby," says Black Doom, "and it's going to make things very interesting."

I then charged at him, but then all of reality got weird. It's like everything around me was melting and the sky was turning black. Then everything was upside down. I fell from the ground, then back on the ground. "What's going on," I asked.

"This is the true power of darkness," says Black Doom.

I then tried to run, but my legs turned to jelly. There was no way I could beat this guy. "Who are you," I asked.

"It's complicated," says Black Doom, "but let's just say you know my son." He then knocks me out.
