AFTER RAIDING A MUSEUM…He was wrong.
"Yeah, your day just started, honey." Nico shook his head at Leo who grinned sheepishly. Percy and Hades exchanged amused looks at Nico's comment.
"Looks like Mrs. Dodds is rubbing off on you…honey." Percy grinned at his cousin. Nico snorted in amusement at that.
They hadn't found anything…of angry dead Confederates.
"Sounds fun." Hermes said dryly.
"You have no idea." Leo snickered.
Then—oh, boy!—Leo…(that was no accident)
"Yes it was!" Frank protested to Leo who raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure about that?" he wagged his eyebrows at the son of Mars.
"Yes!" Frank said, throwing his hands up. Leo hummed and Frank rolled his eyes playfully. "Even I crashed with you." Frank defended finally.
"That's fair." Leo said after a few seconds of contemplation and grinned at Frank who stuck his tongue out at the son of Hephaestus.
And they crash landed…too good at cooking up massive storms.
Jason and Percy grinned sheepishly at Leo.
"Apologies, nephew." Jason smirked at Leo who face palmed. "But-" Jason turned to look at Percy who was also grinning. "-Lets get it, brother!" Jason whooped and the two high fived. Annabeth and Piper looked at each other and rolled their eyes fondly.
"I could almost swear that I've seen this exact scene play out in front of me before as well." Hades said dryly.
"Probably with these two." Demeter sighed, gesturing to Poseidon and Zeus who just simultaneously shrugged innocently.
At one point, Annabeth stood…do latitude and longitude!"
"I will say this again, do not let Percy and Leo talk to somebody who can potentially cause damage to us or our belongings." Rachel snickered.
"I think it's a little too late for that." Zeus said dryly. Poseidon gasped dramatically at the reply.
"Did you just make a joke?" Hades whispered dramatically, joining in. Zeus rolled his eyes at both his brothers at that.
"He does make a point though. It is already way too late to prevent the dual sarcasm." Thalia snickered.
"Excuse me?" Percy said, dramatically flourishing his hand to his chest. "It is absolutely unfiltered sarcasm. We do not censor anything." He said with a hair flip.
"Which is also potentially dangerous but we cannot seem to stop." Leo continued and the two exchanged fist bumps without looking at each other.
Annabeth rattled off the numbers…to pry him from the wheel.
Everybody looked at Leo in worry. Hephaestus squeezed Leo's shoulder comfortingly.
"Take some breaks, son." He said gently. Leo nodded seriously.
"Yeah, I'm trying." He said.
Leo took one last look at…heads slumped in exhaustion.
Poseidon and Zeus grimaced as exhaustion set over them due to the curse. Seeing as Percy and Jason were mortals, their exhaustion settled over their entire body. If gods were to feel that kind of exhaustion, it would only be a mild discomfort but due to curse, rather than feeling less exhaustion, they felt exhaustion exactly how Percy and Jason would have and so their entire bodies felt it.
"Yeah, that took so much out of us. I barely remember anything after that on that day." Jason shook his head and Percy nodded in agreement.
Annabeth and Piper were…Camp Half-Blood, either
"We would have helped if we could, mate. We didn't have that whole crossing the waters kind of thing but it'd just be really difficult to catch up with you guys while trying to protect the camp." Will said to Leo with a small smile.
"Yeah, I know. Don't worry about it." Leo smiled back.
Leo patted his waist to make sure…Concentrate on the stuff you can fix.
"You know, that's actually a good thinking process." Apollo pointed out. "Some things aren't in your control and trying to change it will drive you crazy but focusing on the stuff that you can fix…that's what brings about the change." He said and smiled at Leo.
He turned to Annabeth…were bloodshot and droopy
The curse impacted Poseidon as well and he covered his eyes with one hand and rubbed his head in annoyance, due to a headache, with the other.
"The Nereid and Chiron's brothers…he slid back down the mast.
Zeus felt Jason's exhaustion hit him and he grimaced so he rested his head against the wall to stop his head from spinning.
"Can we get the ship aloft…Nico only has three more left."
"Don't worry. I've survived worse odds. Take your time." Nico grinned at Hazel who punched him lightly in the shoulder, making Nico dramatically groan in faux pain.
"Well, we did take our time though." Hazel told him finally. Nico snorted in amusement at that.
"We can do it," Leo promised…probably severe profanity for him.
Frank's ears turned red. "That is true." He admitted. "I don't swear much actually." He said.
"Its good. Don't worry about it. You don't want to turn into us dirty minded and violent language kids. Stay innocent, brother." Percy said with a grin and Frank snorted in amusement.
"Don't know about the dirty-minded part. I've spent way too much time around you guys." He said.
No doubt Frank would've cursed…it supposed to be yellow?"
Zeus and Poseidon groaned as they felt the effects of the curse from Jason and Percy. They knew that they'd probably feel some sort of migraine after they'd heard about the amount of powers that Percy and Jason had used but they had not anticipated it to be so extensive. The pain in itself wasn't as bad as the exhaustion was. They were already tired due to the huge quantity of paperwork that had starting flooding their way and this just added on to it, making it worse.
Annabeth and Piper exchanged…thought made him hungry
"Why would hair remind you of churros?" Lee shook his head amusedly.
"It was because of the color of the hair and I was already hungry." Leo defended, making Lee and a few others chuckle.
"Don't lean over," he advised…decided to keep that to himself.
"Yeah, good choice." Hazel chuckled at a sheepish Leo. "Telling me that during our first conversation especially when I was already having the Sammy flashbacks would not have helped me feel easy." She explained to him. Leo nodded.
"Yeah, see, normally I don't like having a filter on what I'm saying but I figured saying that at that particular time was probably not going to help the awkwardness." He said.
Hades grimaced as he felt Hazel's seasickness. He himself wasn't overly fond of his brother's domain due to two reasons, one being his brother and the other being his brother's domain so the curse reflecting Hazel's seasickness did not make matters easier for him.
"Cars?" Hazel straightened with…"Go easy on him," Hazel said.
"Listen, I understand that Leo was hitting him with the sarcasm and that he could go a little easy on him so as to not hurt his feelings but if I recall, it was Frank who was being hostile to Leo for absolutely no reason. And I know that it had something to do with the fact that he thought that Leo reminded you of Sammy, but that was not something that he had to be hostile to Leo for. And if it partially had something to do with the whole Camp Jupiter attack, if he was going to be part of the team then he would have to trust his teammates. What I'm trying to say is that I don't understand why everybody only seemed to understand Frank's point of view in this whole story and not Leo's and why everybody was just telling Leo to either go easy on Frank or telling Frank that he shouldn't listen to Leo and all of that." Hermes furrowed his eyebrows at Hazel. He liked Leo and he understood what Leo might have gone through to an extent and the one thing he remembered that whenever he had gone through something similar, he didn't like it and he knew that Leo hadn't either even if he wasn't speaking up.
"I know that. Its just that…I didn't want there to be any animosity within the group so I tried to tell both Leo and Frank. If I hurt you, I'm sorry Leo." Hazel said to Leo with an apologetic smile.
"Don't worry about it. Somehow, you were one of the people who made me feel least like an outsider." He smiled back and he gave a grateful smile to Hermes as well.
"You and your fireballs make…though Leo knew it was true.
Everybody looked at Leo, expecting him to elaborate. Leo sighed and tried to find the words to explain it properly.
"Just felt like we were a team and I didn't like the reminder that we'd just become a team." He said finally.
"That's fair. It makes sense." Nico nodded understandingly.
"So…that's not what you…she did when she was flustered
Leo buried his face in his hands and Hazel raised her eyebrows at him as did Frank.
"Lets not go there." Came Leo's muffled voice. "It was a while back." He said. Hazel chuckled and Frank snorted lightly but it wasn't in a mean way.
"No, I was just…been injected with coffee.
"Yeah, coffee and I are a never ending love story but sadly, its only one sided." Leo sighed dramatically. Dionysus snorted in amusement at that dialogue and shot Leo a grin which the son of Hephaestus returned.
If this flashback was…and the world dissolved.
"Chapter's done." Clarisse said finally.
"I'll read next." Artemis volunteered and Clarisse passed over the book.
