Chapter 115: Everything I Ever Thought I Knew:
Sonic's POV:
We were all beaten down by Black Doom. He then approached us. "I think it's time for a new plan," says Black Doom. He then holds up the Phantom Ruby and then he started to change.
Grappler's POV:
This whole time... I...
Grappler: I thought I was an outcast
I thought I stood alone
A rogue, a thief, a joker
No place to call my own
I thought no one could love me
And how could I have known
I was wrong
Oh, so wrong
And then I thought I found it
A dream that I could share
I thought I was so lucky
It almost wasn't fair
I thought I knew my purpose
I thought that I knew where
I belong
But I was wrong
Everything I ever thought I knew
Where I've been, where I'm going
Everything I counted on turned out to be untrue
Could've guessed
Should've known
Now I do
Everything I'd yearned for
Everything I planned
All my sweetest memories
Were castles made of sand
Now that it's all crumbling

If none of it was really me

I guess my life meant nothing
I guess it was a sham
I guess I'm someone else now
I wonder who I am!
"Grappler," says Scar, "Black Doom is starting to change himself!"
"Scar, do you have a mirror," I asked.
"Well, yeah, that might have come from spending time with Rouge..."
I then grabbed the mirror and I saw I had no reflection. I then showed Scar.
"I was created by the Phantom Ruby," I said, "I don't exist!"
"OOOOooookkkkaaaayyyy... that's a little disturbing," I said, "but you're here now, aren't you?"
"Scar, I'm not real," I said.
Scar then takes off her face and I was freaked out. "I'm actually a magical duplicate," says Scar, "but the others consider me real."
"That's... creepy," I said, "but if anything happens to the Phantom Ruby-"
"You could disappear," says Scar.
Sonic's POV:
Black Doom changed himself. He's much larger and intimidating than before; his body is almost completely changed. The only traces of his original form is Doom's Eye, his horizontal horns, and his red and black skin. He has two gargoyle-like heads on either side of his torso, the first of which has his's horizontal horns and the second which has one vertical horn, and two large and thick round wings. The lower half of his body is rooted to a large boulder and his torso has strange spines pointing down. He also has horizontal mouth parts similar to the Black Bull, with the exception of a jaw on both sides. He now has no eyes himself; instead, Doom's Eye switches between his heads to give them sight. He also gains an extra finger on each hand, making it possible for his arms to operate from either side of his body, making his shoulders double jointed.
"Behold, I am now Devil Doom!"
"This just got more complicated," says Knuckles.
Sally then finds Black Doom's book. "This book is about that prophecy you mentioned, Endora," says Sally, "Tails is the Chosen One, Knuckles, you're the Avatar and Sonic's the other Champion!"
I'm the hero and I'm just the other one. "So, we gotta take down the Phantom Ruby," I said.
"But what about Devil Doom," asks Tails.
"I'll take him on," says Shadow, "while I'm fighting him, you three destroy the Phantom Ruby!"
"Hold it," says Scar, "if you destroy the Phantom Ruby, you destroy Grappler!"
"What," asks Knuckles.
"Turns out, Grappler was created by the Phantom Ruby," says Scar.
"Are you serious," asks Jet.
"Look," says Amy, "the Phantom Ruby is destroying Reality!"
Grappler then looked at the sky. He then gets this serious look on his face. "What are you waiting for," asks Grappler, "you have a universe to save!"
"But-" I began.
"I'm just the rookie," says Grappler, "you guys are the heroes!"
"There's one thing we're all forgetting," says Rouge, "how are they going to fight the Phantom Ruby, they can't go Super without the Master Emerald!"
Then Tails, Knuckles, and me started to glow. "The power's been in us the whole time," I said, "Shadow, it might be in you too!"
Shadow then tries. "I'm not feeling it," says Shadow.
"Amy, I think I might know why," says Endora. She then whispers to Amy.
Amy then nods. She then walks over to Shadow and kisses him. This cause him to glow too.
"That works," I said.
The four of us then went super.
"I know I'm gonna be done," says Grappler, "but I want one of those too!"
"Let's do it to it," I said.
We then flew off.
Shadow's POV:
I was then faced with Devil Doom.
"I'm here to end this," I said.
"You are no match for me," says Devil Doom.
We then fought.
Sonic's POV:
Tails, Knuckles, and I headed for the Phantom Ruby.
"Hey, I never did thank you guys for being my first friends," says Knuckles.
"We're more than friends," I said.
"We're brothers," says Tails.
"Brothers," says Knuckles.
We then charged at the Phantom Ruby.
Shadow's POV:
Devil Doom and I continued to fight. He was throwing me around, but I kept getting back up and hitting him in the face... or whatever he has.
Sonic's POV:
I did a spin dash and I hit the Phantom Ruby, then Knuckles punches it, then Tails attempts to hit the ruby. It then started blasting us.
Shadow's POV:
Devil Doom and I kept on fighting, but then he blasted me. I then blasted him.
Sonic's POV:
"How are we supposed to stop that thing," asks Tails.
Knuckles and I then had an idea. We both touched Tails and then we gave him our superpower. Tails then became something I like to call Titan Tails and he used all his power to destroy the Phantom Ruby.
Shadow's POV:
Devil Doom and I continued to fight, but then something happened! He was turning back to Black Doom. "NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This can't be!"
"Word of advice," I said, "next time, destroy the one who's destined to destroy the Phantom Ruby first!" I then used one big blast and I destroyed Black Doom. "Goodbye Father."
Sonic's POV:
Black Doom and the Phantom Ruby are now done, but so is Grappler. He started to fade.
