Chapter 1: Day of the Dino: Part 1

The ringing of an alarm clock going off barely fazed the lump on the bed. An arm creeped out of the covers to search for the offending object and turned it off. After a moment of silence, the lump, almost asleep again, felt like it was being watched. Before it could react, the covers were ripped off and a figure landed on him.

Groaning in pain, Andy looked up to see Jenna smirking down at him, "Was that necessary?" He tried to pushing her off, but she just applied more weight.

"Of course it was." Zoey said, holding up his blanket, "Your alarm has been going off for an hour. It was really annoying."

Jenna finally got off of him and pulled him up, "Did you forget what today was?"

"I was trying."

"Come on Andy. You're the one who agreed to this. In order for us to start working with you on your Pai Zhuq training, you needed to be living with us and going to school at Reefside. Otherwise, you would need to actually live at the Academy."

He scratch his head, "Yeah, I didn't want to do that."

"Did you talk to your parents last night?" Zoey asked, sitting beside him.

"I did. They warned me to behave, follow the rules, and to stay out of trouble." He smirked, "They obviously don't know me very well."

"Apparently not." She nudged him before getting back up, "Up you go. We leave in forty-five minutes. I will drag you out in your underwear if you don't get dressed."

He looked up with wide eyes, knowing she would too, "I'm up. I'm going."

Laughing at him, the girls left him to get changed. Walking into the kitchen, they went to the counter to finish their breakfast smoothie bowls. When Andy walked in, fifteen minutes later, and frowned.

"You're complaining about me being up, but I don't see Tommy."

"What about me?" Andy looked around to see the person of topic walk in, ready for the day.

"How long have you been up?"

"Are you kidding?" Jenna laughed, "He's been awake since five."

"Are you serious?"

"Completely." Zoey handed her brother a protein shake, "You've spent the entire summer getting lazy Lightning Boy. You used to get up with us."

"That was when I was training. I haven't been doing early morning workouts since we defeated Lothor."

"Well, no time like the present to get back into it." Tommy tossed him a granola bar, "Eat up. I know what the girls have planned for you after school. You're gonna need the energy."

Groaning, he got himself some milk and ate the breakfast bar, "You two are planning on torturing me, aren't you?"

"Don't think of it as torture." Jenna said, innocently, "Think of it as 'retraining'." She smiled, "Relax. It's not going to hurt. It'll be good for you."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

"Ok. Enough of this. We've got to get going." Tommy grabbed his briefcase, "Are you going to the museum with me after school?"

"Probably not." Zoey grabbed her own shoulder bag, "We need to get started on his training, especially since we didn't do any over the summer."

"Not my fault." Andy complained as they walked out to the vehicles, "I had to go back to Angel Grove to explain why I was transferring to Reefside." He looked at Tommy, "Thanks for taking care of that, by the way."

"You're welcome."

"Between that, Ranger Week, and getting moved over here, we didn't have any time."

"I agree. It's been a pretty hectic summer. But we're here now, so no more slacking." Zoey got in her Jeep and looked at everyone, "And we're all to blame, so no pointing fingers."

Laughing, Tommy got into his own Jeep, "Well, good luck with that and I'll see you at the school. Try not to get lost."

Shaking her head at her brother, she turned to the others in her Jeep, "Are you ready?" At their nods, she put on her shades and turned on the ignition, "Let's go."

1-2-3-4-5

After getting to the school, the three walked into the front office to get signed in.

"Can I help you?" The receptionist asked, looking curious.

"I'm Andrew Park. I'm a transfer from Angel Grove."

"Ah, yes. I have your stuff right here." She reached over and grabbed a folder to pull out some papers, "Here is your schedule, your locker location and combination, and your supply list. You can get everything you need at the school store, including your books."

"Thank you." Taking his papers, he turned to the girls, "I'll see you later."

"Have fun." Zoey turned back to the receptionist, "I'm Zoey Oliver and this is Jenna Scott."

"Yes. Our new Teacher Assistants. Because of your dual majors, you'll be assigned to work with both the Science and History departments. Here's your packets with your schedules and the teacher's you'll be working with." She looked at Zoey, "Now, I know Dr. Oliver is your brother, so you need to expect a little backlash on that."

"You mean people are going to assume I only got the position because my brother's a teacher?" She smiled, "Don't worry. I'm well aware of it, and I've prepared for it."

The girls said their thank you and walked out to find their classes. "Looks like I've got big brother for first period science." Zoey said, looking down at the list. "And a Mrs. Carver for last period History."

"I'm opposite. Mrs. Carver is first and Tommy last." Jenna looked up, "How do we not have anything in between?"

"Because you're Teacher's Assistants, not teachers." A voice behind them spoke. They turned around to see an older woman in a severe suit and clipboard, "Ladies. Welcome to Reefside. I'm Principal Randal, and I made your schedules."

Jenna reached out to shake her hand, "Please to meet you Principal Randal, I'm…"

"I know who you are, and it is insignificant. I have a high standard in regard to my teachers. You are only assistants. However, I expect you to uphold those same standards as the teachers and behave yourselves accordingly. I may not be able to give you detention, since you're not students, but I can suspend you. Do not disappoint." She nodded once and walked away.

After a moment of silence, Zoey looked at her friend, "I think I just felt the temperature drop."

"That wasn't me!" Jenna defended.

"No, that was definitely her." The stared at each other and shuddered, "Scary."

1-2-3-4-5

After separating to find their respective classes, Zoey walked into the science lab and smiled at her brother. "Good morning."

"You're late." He looked her, crossing his arms.

"Sorry. Got stopped by the principal. She's kind of scary." The class snickered.

Tommy smiled, slightly, and gestured to the room, "Class, this is Zoey. She is going to be my Teacher Assistant for first period science." She waved, "There's a table next to my desk, that's where you and Jenna will work."

A blonde girl, who looked eerily like Marah, stood up, "Cassidy Cornell, anchor for our school tv station. I have a few questions. How old are you? Where are you from? Who is Jenna?"

"Cassidy, enough. Take your seat, please. We need to get started."

The blonde huffed before sitting down. Zoey took her own seat next to Tommy's desk and looked around the room. She saw Andy in the back sitting next to a dark blonde in yellow. She smile over at him and pulled out her laptop. It was going to be an interesting year.

1-2-3-4-5

Andy was in the quad during their free class, practicing a kata his brother had taught him last month. The girls were right. So much had happened over the summer, and he had neglected his training. If he wanted to learn Pai Zhuq, he needed to focus. Unfortunately, he was so focused that he didn't see the principal until she was right in front of him.

"Mr. Park, I don't know how things worked in Angel Grove, but this is Reefside. And you need permission to practice martial arts of any kind on school grounds. Detention." She looked down, writing on her clipboard, ignoring his look of panic, "Now, follow me."

He signed and walked over to join his new lab partner Kira, and another guy in a soccer uniform. "I'm never going to hear the end of this." They didn't walk far before the sprinklers went off. Andy jumped off the path and out of the way of the water, but their principal, Kira, and the jock were not so lucky.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." The jock said, jumping back.

"This is just great," Kira muttered, trying to wipe the water off her guitar.

"Ethan James." The principal stated, looking at a young man, smiling, walking by under a blue umbrella. "I should have known."

After she caught him, she led all four teens back inside. "Sit!" She ordered, pointing to a bench the front office.

"Principal Randall, I'd like to mention the fact that there's absolutely no hard evidence linking me to that unfortunate sprinkler incident." Ethan said, pleading his case. Randall just glared at them, making everyone lean back in fear.

Dude, she's as scary as Lothor. Andy thought, freaking out.

"Save it for Judge Judy, Mr. James. The four of you have detention, for one week, starting today." She smiled at their looks of horror, "Now if there are no further questions…" they protested loudly, having plans. "I didn't think so!" Randall exclaimed and walked away.

"Ok, somebody seriously needs a hug," Kira growled.

"This is just great." Andy grumbled, "So much for staying out of trouble."

"Dude, Computer Club?" The jock asked, looking at Ethan with a raised eyebrow. The boy in blue just ignored him, so he turned to Andy. "You're new, aren't you?"

"Yeah. Transferred from Angel Grove." He leaned over and held out his hand, "Andrew Park. Please to meet you."

"Conner McKnight." He smirked, "Welcome to Reefside."

1-2-3-4-5

Zoey walked up to Jenna and Tommy as they were leaving his classroom, "And how was our first day as a teacher, big brother?"

"Illuminating." He hugged her, "Quite different from teaching martial arts."

Laughing, the girls nodded their heads in agreement. They saw Principal Randall coming towards them as they reached a set of stairs.

"Dr. Oliver, how was your first day?" She asked, walking up with them.

"The kids were great. No problem."

"Good." She smiled, "You're going to be seeing a lot more of them in detention."

The girls exchanged looks and smiled.

"You mind telling me what I did?" He asked, looking bemused.

"No, you're in charge of it today."

"No, actually, I have plans to go to a museum today outside of town."

"Perfect!" She encouraged, "Bring the little monsters with you. That should be sufficient torture for them." She brought them to a classroom where four students were leaning against the wall, waiting. "You've all met, I trust?" She look at him, "Well, enjoy your little outing." Randall smirked at the teens and walked off.

The girls were trying not to laugh, looking at the look of distress on Tommy's face. Zoey looked over and saw Andy looking miserable. "What did you do?"

Tommy looked up and shook his head, "Andy."

"What? It's not like I committed a crime."

"What happened?" Jenna asked, curious.

"I was practicing a kata in the quad. Apparently, you need permission to do so."

"Seriously?" Tommy asked, incredulous. He sighed, "Alright, well," He looked at the other three, "you guys like museums?"

"Looks like we're coming with you." Zoey smiled, "I don't think all four of them can fit in your Jeep." She grabbed Andy's arm, "You're coming with us, Lightning Bug."

"Aw, man."

1-2-3-4-5

"I can't believe you got detention on the first day of school." Jenna laughed, looking at Andy in the back, "Raina is never going to let you live this down."

"Do you have to tell her?" He asked, pleading.

"We are so telling her." Zoey smirked, "Come on, dude. Do you not know us at all?"

"I didn't do anything wrong!" He threw up his hands in exasperation, "I wasn't bothering anyone. It was just a kata."

"Well, that's something." Jenna turned back around, "Relax. We're just messing with you."

"I know." He sighed, "What a way to start off the year."

1-2-3-4-5

Once at the museum, they exited the Jeeps and walked up to the doors.

"I am having major Shimazu flashbacks." Jenna muttered to Zoey and Andy. They shuddered, remember the Ancient Warlord. "Damn Wolfblades."

Laughing, they walked up towards the entrance, only to find that it was closed.

"That's weird." Tommy frowned.

"Oh, well, no museum for us." Conner shrugged, smiling.

"Great! Let's go home!" Kira nodded.

"Tell you what," Tommy said, looking at the teens, "why don't you guys have a look around the grounds. If you find anything prehistoric, I'll cancel detention for the rest of the week."

"Sweet!" Ethan smiled.

"I'm gonna see if I can find someone who can tell us when they're opening up," He looked at his sister, "Are you two gonna stay here, or go with them?"

"Do I look like a student who needs to get out of detention?" Zoey quirked a brow and turned to Andy, "You're up, Stinger-Boy." He sighed and walked off with the others.

"So let me get this straight. They have a club, just for computers?" They heard Conner ask Ethan as they left.

"Boys." Jenna shook her head. "What's going on? Why is this place closed?"

"Let's see if we can find out?" Tommy walked to the front door and noticed a sign on the glass, "In case of emergency, call Anton Mercer Industries."

"Anton Mercer?" Zoey asked, looking at her brother, "That's impossible, right? He disappeared on that island."

"This doesn't make any sense." He sighed, "Let's look around."

1-2-3-4-5

"Hey! Did you guys hear about the guy who was hiking up here and fell into a giant sinkhole?" Ethan asked, breaking the silence on the hike.

"Must have missed that one." Kira told him, sounding bored.

"Just a guess, but do you subscribe to all those urban legend web sites?" Andy asked with a chuckle.

"Wait, what?" Ethan grinned, "How did you know that?"

"I have a friend from Blue Bay Harbor who loves that stuff."

"Dude, you guys know this isn't computer club, right?" Conner smirked.

"Typical." Andy murmured to Kira, "Five dollars says he prefers girls to computers."

"You're on." She looked over, "It's his soccer ball."

"Oh, I can see you're too big and bad to surf the web." Ethan mocked, "Well, what do you do in your spare time?"

"Me? I go out with girls," Conner explained casually. "You know, they're the ones who smell really good, with the long hair and the make-up."

Andy held his hand out as the girl handed him his winnings.

"Oh, it's like that, is it?" Ethan stopped him.

"Yeah, it's like that." Conner said, stepping closer in a threatening manner.

"Whatever." Kira rolled her eyes and walked on.

"Can you two get anymore stereotypical?" Andy asked, shaking his head. He scoffed at them and started to follow Kira.

"All I'm trying to do is give you guys a heads up." Ethan called out. "Stuff happens out here. Just don't come crying to me when you fall into a giant sinkhole!" As soon as he said that the ground opened up and all four teens fell in.

1-2-3-4-5

After walking around the building, and finding nothing, they went back to the front to look for the teens. Tommy stopped and looked around, "Where did—"

As he backed up, the girls noticed that the giant Tyrannosaurus statue was missing. "What in the name of Zordon is going on here?" Zoey threw up her hands, "Statues don't just disappear." At the looks the other two gave, she shrugged, "Here. It doesn't happen here."

Feeling something was wrong, they backed away some more, trying to locate where the feeling was originating from and what was causing it. Hearing a grumbling noise, they looked up to see the statue walking towards them.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me!" Jenna exclaimed, not believing her eyes, "Really?"

Tommy stepped in front of the girls and the T-Rex leaned forward and growled at them. Tommy, being Tommy, did a tornado kick and flicked the dinosaur away from them.

"I think that just irritated it." Zoey pointed as the statue roared in anger. "Run?" They nodded and took off for Tommy's Jeep. Zoey looked at her own vehicle and muttered, "That thing better not step on it, or I'm going to be really pissed off."

As Tommy got in, he closed the door and hit the lock button, "Great. Yeah, lock the door, Tommy. Real good."

"You said it, not me." His sister smirked, "Now, move!" He fumbled with his keys for a moment and cranked the ignition. After putting it in reverse, he peeled out and took off.

"It's a good thing you were a race car driver," Jenna yelled from the back, "otherwise, I'd be really nervous right now."

"Not to mention a Turbo Ranger." Zoey yelled back, watching the dinosaur from the mirror.

"I'm trying to focus here!" He yelled, shifting gears.

1-2-3-4-5

When he fell through the hole, Andy was able to use his Ninja skills to stay standing. He helped Kira up and looked around to make sure the others were okay. "Everyone alright?"

"Oh, just dandy." Ethan grumbled, looking put out, "I tried to warn you, but no!"

"Alright." Conner said, holding up a hand, "You guys stay here where it's safe. I'll climb up and come back with help."

Andy looked up at the hole, skeptical. He knew he could have made it, using his Ninja Streak, but there was no way he was doing it in front of these guys. "Are you sure about that?"

"Yeah. It'll be fine." Conner waved him off and started to climb. He had just gotten a grip of the wall, when a chunk of it broke off under his hand, causing him to fall to the ground.

"Back already?" Ethan asked sarcastically, before they leaned down to help him up.

"Well, since we can't go up," Andy stepped forward, "then the best way out is through. Robert Frost." He started walking, ignoring the looks he was receiving.

1-2-3-4-5

As they were speeding down the road, Zoey looked back to see the T-Rex gaining on them, "Why does it feel like Jurassic Park all of a sudden?"

"Probably because of the giant dinosaur chasing us in a Jeep!" Jenna yelled, trying to hold on, "Wasn't there a Jeep in the movie?"

"Can we stop talking about movies?" Tommy yelled as he turned the wheel to make a curve, "I'm trying not to crash us here!"

"Tell that to your last race!" Zoey smirked, ignoring the glare her brother sent her.

1-2-3-4-5

Andy and Kira led the way through the tunnels, with Kira singing under her breath to distract her.

"Babe, would you keep it down? I'm trying to stay focused," Conner interrupted, walking pass them. Kira stopped and narrowed her eyes at him.

"Did you just call me babe?" Kira demanded, "Did he just call me babe?" She looked back at Ethan and Andy, who just put his hand on his head in resignation.

"I dunno, I wasn't listening!" Ethan shrugged. "I was still grooving to your tune."

She walked over to Conner, who had stopped to look around, and stared at him.

"What?" He asked, "Just chill out, why don't you?"

"Whoa! Dude, bad karma." Andy shook his head, "You never tell a girl to chill out."

"Listen. My name is Kira. Maybe you should write it on your hand or something, so you can remember." She raised a brow at him, turned and walked away.

"For someone who has a thing for girls," Andy patted him on the shoulder, "you are absolutely clueless. And for the record, all the girls that I know, hate being called babe. You might want to remember that for the future."

1-2-3-4-5

"Bridge!" Zoey yelled, pointed ahead of them.

"I see it!" Her brother yelled, shifting, "Hang on!"

Speeding under the bridge, they could see the dinosaur follow them. However, when it got there, it hit its head on the side of the bridge and collapse. Tommy screeched to a halt, and they got out to investigate. Walking toward it, they could see its head had busted open.

"Are those, wires?" Jenna asked, seeing sparks fly out of the head. "It's a robot."

"Do we know how that happened?" Zoey looked at her brother who just shook his head.

"I have a suspicion, but no proof." He signaled for them to back up, "Let's go back to the museum. We need to find those kids and get out of here."

1-2-3-4-5

After what seemed like forever, the four teens came to a wall with a dinosaur skeleton on it.

"This screams Jurassic Park to me," Kira commented.

"This'll get us out of detention forever," Conner said, reaching for the mouth.

"I don't think you should be grabbing that." Andy warned, "Hasn't anyone ever seen Indiana Jones? Bad things always happen."

"You've watched too many movies." Conner mocked, pulling the jaw.

"Do you think you should… " before Kira could finish, the wall beside the skeleton opened to reveal a strange room.

"Whoa." Ethan breathed as they went in.

"I could do a crazy video in here." Kira said, looking around in awe.

Seeing the machines and fossils everywhere, Andy started to get a weird feeling. "Why does this place seem familiar?" He muttered, looking around.

"This must be like the mothership for you dude," Conner laughed at Ethan.

"Normally, I'd be insulted," Ethan smiled. "But when you're right, you're right."

Andy looked over as he started to recognize the symbols on the monitors. He just knew he had seen them before. "Yo, don't touch that." At Ethan's whisper, Andy looked over to see that Conner was about to lift a red gem on a pedestal in the middle of the room. There were three more beside it; blue, yellow and green.

"Why not?" Conner frowned.

"You really are taking this dumb jock thing to a whole new level." Ethan said, shaking his head.

"Look, I have sat through enough lame science classes to know that thing looks fully prehistoric." Conner pointed at the rock, "And if I don't have to miss practice-"

"I hate to agree with him, really, I do," Kira said, looking put out, "But I already missed one rehearsal." Andy looked apprehensive. Something about them was familiar, but he couldn't figure out what it was. The others had already grabbed one, leaving the green one behind.

"Well, what are they?" Kira asked, looking at the glowing yellow gem in her hand.

"I can go online later and see if I can find out." Ethan suggested, holding the blue one up, inspecting it.

Conner laughed, "You in front of a computer. Wait, let me put on my surprised face."

Ethan glared, "You know, ten years from now, when your hairline is receding and you're playing pick-up soccer in the park because your dreams of turning pro never quite worked out, I'll have my own multibillion-dollar software business." He said, smiling. "Yeah."

"Bitter much?" The Lightning Ninja murmured, shaking his head.

"Andy, come one." Kira said, pointing to the green one, "It's a get-out-of-detention-free card." She started to walk away, "Grab it and let's go."

"Where are you going?" Ethan asked.

"I don't want to think about what kinda freak lives in a place like this, and I sure don't wanna be here when he gets home." She said, turning back to the tunnels.

"Right behind ya." Conner agreed as he and Ethan followed.

"Dang it!" Andy grabbed the green one and took off after them.

1-2-3-4-5

After running through a different part of the tunnels, the teens finally found an exit.

"This way!" Ethan called, leading them outside. "A compass. We need a compass. Anyone have a compass?" He asked as they climbed a short hill.

"And I was going to bring one," Conner said sarcastically.

Andy, being a former Eagle Scout and a Ninja, knew exactly where they needed to go. But, before he could say anything, they felt the wind suddenly blow back at them. A low growl came out of the trees.

"What was that?" Ethan gulped.

"The wind?" Kira asked.

"That's not the wind." Feeling a strong sense of déjà vu, Andy looked around the trees waiting for the attack. A group of black lizard-like monsters appeared in front of them, causing three of the four to freeze.

"Don't… move." Conner whispered as Andy got into a defensive stance.

"Great idea," Kira muttered, "make it easy for them."

"New plan, run!" Ethan yelled as they took off. Andy, knowing he couldn't take them on by himself, ran with them.

Running through the woods, he looked back to see the lizards closing in on them. Conner, Ethan and Andy leapt across a ditch, but Kira didn't make it and fell in.

They ran back over to pull her out. "Come on!" They quickly avoided being overrun by freaks and started running back through the woods. They didn't get very far before Kira tripped. When they realized she wasn't with them, they turned back to see the monsters converge on her. Before they could go help her, Kira opened her mouth to scream. Instead of a cry for help, however, the scream came out at supersonic frequency that threw the monsters back. The other three had to cover their ears to protect themselves from the pain. When she stopped screaming, Kira looked around in surprise, not knowing what to do.

"Come on, help her up." Conner said as they raced over to her.

"What, was that?" Ethan asked, as they got her back up.

"I have no idea," Kira said, looking scared. She pulled the gem out of her pocket as it started to glow. Looking at it, she could see a pterodactyl screaming in her mind.

Seeing the lizards start to recover, they each took off in separate directions. When he got to a safe distance away from the others, Andy turned back around to face his pursuers. "Alright, you freaks. Let's see how you do against a Lightning Ninja."

The monsters surrounded him, making him smile. "Really. You think that's fair." He nodded happily, glad for a challenge, "Come on then. Let's see what you freaks have got."

He charged ahead, side kicking one lizard into another. He flipped over one and kicked it into a tree. He punched another and sent it flying back. He kept fighting as they kept coming at him. It seemed that no matter how many he took out, two more took it's place. He raised his fist to throw another punch when, out of nowhere, a green lightning bolt shot out. He blasted five of the lizards at one time, sending them back into the others.

"Green lightning?" Before he could wonder at it, more of the creatures started to run at him, recognizing him as the bigger threat. "Alright. Let's try this." He went on the defensive, blocking left and right. As he started to get overwhelmed, he gather the green lightning in his hands and blasted the remaining lizards. "Oh." He laughed, "I could get used to this."

"Over here!" Conner's yell drew his attention and he ran over to join the other three. They looked down at the gems in their hands, in awe of what just happened.

"Yo, how much do I love detention." Ethan asked, looking excited.

"Hey!" Tommy's voice rang out and they quickly hid their gems. Andy looked over to see the girls running over with Tommy to check on them. "Are you guys alright?" He asked, worried. The girls looked over at Andy as he shook his head slightly.

"Yeah. Couldn't be better." Ethan looked at him, innocently.

"Nothing out of the ordinary happen?"

"Nah, just your routine hike in the woods." He shrugged, unconcerned, "Lots of furry little creatures."

"And a few scaly ones," Kira muttered under her breath. The girls and Tommy frowned at her, but Conner distracted them.

"So, you get into the Dino exhibit?"

"Uh… they're still working the kinks out." Tommy shook his head, still looking a little worried. "We better get you guys back. Come on."

The teens held back a little as the older three walked ahead of them. "Don't you guys think we should tell him?" Kira asked, looking concerned.

"I don't know about you," Ethan said, "but I've got over a thousand sci-fi DVDs. You want to know how many times the dude with the superpowers ends up in some freaky government lab lying on a table with wires in his head?"

"Even I know that." Conner spoke up, causing Andy to smile. He knew better, though.

"Are you guys coming?" Zoey called out to them, and they exchanged another look before continuing to walk.

1-2-3-4-5

"Alright, Lightning Bug. Speak." Jenna looked at him as they drove back to the house. Tommy had taken the others back to the school. "What happened."

"So, first let me ask a question." The girls nodded, "Didn't you say that you got those weird powers from gems your brother had found?" Looked at Zoey as she drove.

"Yes, why?"

"How many gems were there in total?"

"To start, there was nine. But four of them exhibited no power, whatsoever. When the island exploded, they somehow fused together, creating our gems as we have them now. The remaining gems were red, blue, yellow, black, and white. Tommy has the red, blue and yellow ones, but he's having trouble tracking down the black and white gems."

"Is there a green gem?"

Zoey pulled up to the house, turned off her engine and looked at him in surprise, "How did you know that?"

He held up the gem for her to see. Seeing the look of shock on their faces, he continued with another question, "Where did this one come from?"

"Sensei Raiku gave it to me after the Ninja graduation ceremony. Sensei Watanabe had told him about ours and they decided it needed to be with the other gems. Apparently, the Lightning Academy has been protecting this Gem since it's inception."

"So, this explains why everything was so familiar to me." He looked at the girls with a sigh, "This is just great. I'm supposed to be here studying Pai Zhuq, not having my DNA altered."

"Okay." They got out of the Jeep and started for the house, "You need to explain everything. Start at the beginning."

1-2-3-4-5

"Ok, so we all agree." Conner said as they walked through the school grounds, "No one talks about this to anyone, no matter what."

"Shouldn't we be having this conversation with Andy as well?" Ethan asked, confused.

"Probably, but we'll have to talk to him tomorrow. Nothing we can do about it today." Conner pointed at the other two, "We have to be in agreement on this."

"Well, I can do better than that." Kira handed him her yellow Gem. "I'm out. Just forget I was here, and I'll do the same."

"Wait, how come he gets it?" Ethan demanded.

"Well, here." Kira took it out of Conner's hand a put it in Ethan's, making him grin.

"Look. We've gotta stick together on this." Conner said, trying to reason with her.

"I'm not sticking with anything. We were just attacked by some freaky lizard looking mutant things." She shook her head as she backed away from them, "So, excuse me if I just want to forget about it."

"And these new found powers these rocks gave us? What are you going to do about that, huh?"

"You know what? I give up!" She exclaimed and stormed off.

As she walked away, the now familiar wind picked up, and said lizard monsters from earlier appeared out of nowhere to grab her.

"Kira!" Conner yelled as they ran to help her. Before they could reached her, they disappeared in a green light, taking her with them, and leaving her backpack behind.

"She's gone," Ethan said, as they looked around.

1-2-3-4-5

"Ok, so where are we going?" Conner asked as he sped down the rode in his car.

"Uh, Doctor Oliver's?" Ethan suggested.

"What's he gonna do?!"

"He's a dinosaur guy!" Ethan shrugged. "These things are dinosaurs, sort of."

"Alright, so, where does he live?"

"Uh, 1992, Valencia Road," Ethan pulled up the address, and Conner nodded.

"Valencia Road, that's..." Conner frowned. "That's like, way out in the middle of the woods."

"This is beyond surreal." Zoey said, petting Kit. After Andy had explained what happened on the hike in the woods, they changed into work-out clothes for training later, and gathered in Zoey's room to lounge on her bed. "I can't believe there was a sink hole that led to those tunnels."

"I knew those symbols looked familiar; I just couldn't place them." Andy grumbled, laying back, "I'd only been down there once, when we got our Ninja Morphers altered into the cuffs. It didn't look the same as before." He sighed, "I'm pretty sure they won't say anything, but we need to talk to the other three."

"Agreed. But we need to talk to my brother first." She looked over as Jenna went over to the window, "What is it?"

"How long has your brother been home?"

"I didn't realize he was." They got up to look, and sure enough, there was his Jeep next to hers. "Huh. Maybe he's down in the lab."

"I can't believe I forgot he had a lab under the house." He grumbled, irritated.

"Like you said, you've only been down there once. And a lot of changes have been made since then. How could you know that's where you were?"

"I'm a Ninja for crying out loud. I should have realized where we were."

"Don't be so hard on yourself." Zoey slugged him in the arm, "That's our job. Now, come on. Let's go find Tommy."

Conner and Ethan arrived at Doctor Oliver's house and hurried onto the front porch. Ethan knocked on the door loudly as Conner peered inside.

"Knock again," Conner said, not seeing anyone inside.

Ethan did, but there was still no response. "Now what?"

Conner sighed and walked over, pushing the door open.

"What are you doing?" Ethan asked, looking at the Jock.

"Why would he leave it unlocked?" He asked.

"He's got no neighbors."

"What, you never heard of the three bears?" Conner grinned, walking inside.

"Is that the last book you read?" Ethan rolled his eyes but followed him inside.

They looked around the first floor, calling out for their teacher. When there was still no response, they walked into the study filled with books and fossils.

"Hey, check it out." Conner grinned, walking over to a model of a t-Rex.

"Hey, remember what happened the last time you did that?" Ethan said, trying to stop him.

"Dude, he's a teacher, not…" Conner stopped as he pulled the dinosaur's and a trapdoor opened up beside the table. "Batman..." He finished as they both looked at the door in astonishment. They looked at each other for a moment and walked down the steps, finding themselves in the same lab as before.

"This is the same place," Ethan realized.

"Are you freaking out right now?" Conner asked.

"Yeah," Ethan nodded. "I'd have to say I am."

"If you're looking for extra credit," they turned around to see Doctor Oliver standing with Zoey, Jenna and Andy, looking very unhappy. "You're in the wrong place."
