Chapter 4: Legacy of Power

They were walking toward the Cyber Café when a group of Tyrannodrones surrounded them. "Seriously?" Andy braced himself to use his lightning when the reptiles converged on them in an overwhelming number. "You just don't know how to fight fair, do you?"
"They're bad guys, Andy." Tommy said, struggling against the ones who held him, "It's what they do. You should be used to it by now."
Before they could say anymore, they disappeared through an Invisiportal.

Walking into the lab; Conner, Kira and Ethan looked around for their missing teacher and Andy.
"This is bad." Kira said, upset.
"Way bad. Worse than crashing after getting to level 9 in SNSW!" Ethan exclaimed. "Super Ninja Space Wars." He explained, seeing the confused looks on their faces.
"Ok, don't you think we're getting a little too freaked out about this?" Conner asked, attempting to be the voice of reason.
"Neither Andy nor Dr. O show up for my gig, then they miss a full day of school, without calling." Kira frowned, "I'd say we've achieved exactly the right level of freaking out!"
"I guess there's only one way to find out what the good doctor has been up to." Ethan stated, walking over to the computer.
"How's that?" Conner asked as they stood behind him.
"I'm in." The Blue Ranger said after typing for a moment.
A video of their teacher came on, making Kira frown, "Yeah… but where?"
He backed away from the camera to sit down and started talking to the camera, "I'm Tommy Oliver," he said, introducing himself. "If you're not me, then something is seriously wrong. This video diary is a confidential record, only to be viewed in case of an emergency. What you're about to see, is a history of my life."
"More dinosaur bone stories. Yawn." Conner rolled his eyes.
"My history as a Power Ranger." Tommy revealed, making them stare at the screen.
"Ok, un-yawn," Conner said, eyes wide.
"My story begins in Angel Grove, when five teenagers with attitude were recruited to fight the evil space sorceress, Rita Repulsa." They watched as five teenagers morphed into Rangers. "They harnessed the power of the Dinosaurs to become Earth's first Power Rangers," the five fought off the foot soldiers around them as a robot cheered them on. "Under the guidance of intergalactic being Zordon, Trini, Zack, Kimberly, Billy and Jason bravely defended Earth, which forced Rita to create her own Ranger."
"Ok, so where's Dr. O?" Kira asked, confused.
The video switched scenes to Angel Grove High School. They saw the younger version of their teacher standing in the hallway, talking to the Pink Ranger.
"Hey. Um… I'm Kimberly. You're new around here, aren't you?"
"Yeah, I'm Tommy," he introduced himself. The scene switched again with him in an alley, "What's going on?!" He demanded as strong winds blew at him.
"Tommy! I have chosen you!" Rita Repulsa yelled as she kidnapped him.
"Her evil magic was too strong. I couldn't fight it."
"This boy is truly the one that shall become my Evil Green Ranger!" They saw her cast a spell, "Arise my Green Ranger!" Young Tommy's flashed green as the spell overtook him.
"How can I serve my Empress?"
They watched as the Green Ranger fought the other Rangers. "She commanded me to destroy the other Rangers, and I almost succeeded."
"I know you're the Green Ranger." Kimberly whispered, as evil Tommy lifted weights. He let go of them as he turned to face her.
"Well then, Pink Ranger. You should also know that you, and the other Power Rangers, will soon be destroyed."
"But my friends never gave up. They helped me destroy the Sword of Darkness, and I was freed." The scene switch to the Red Ranger defeating the Green Ranger and freeing Tommy from Rita's spell.
They cheered when they saw Tommy go back to normal, "Rita's spell is broken!"
"You okay, Tommy?" Jason asked, helping his friend up.
"What's happening to me?" Tommy asked
"You're no longer under Rita's power. Fight by our side, and we can defeat Rita."
"After everything that's happened?"
"Tommy, we need you. It's where you belong," Jason insisted. "Will you join us Tommy?" Jason and Tommy shook hands as the other Rangers nodded in approval.
"And that's when I joined the team. But not for long. I soon discovered, the Green Ranger powers, were only temporary."
"As you are aware, the Green Ranger powers were completely decimated by the last few battles." They saw the Rangers standing in their command center, "Alpha and I felt it was time to create an even more powerful Ranger, to battle Lord Zedd, and his diabolical evil. And now, my friends, I present to you, the White Ranger."
A new Ranger was shown coming down from the ceiling. He removed his helmet, to reveal a smiling Tommy. "Guess who's back."
When the video was paused, Kira slapped Ethan's arm irritably, "What did you do that for?"
"Cause I'm so buggin', I can't even deal!" He argued, throwing his hands up.
"Our teacher is the oldest living Power Ranger," Conner looked over in awe.
"Not the oldest…" They spun around to see Hayley standing with a very grim Jenna and Zoey, "Just the best."
"Hayley?" Ethan between her and the girls.
"How did you get in here?" Conner asked, walking over to them.
"Seriously, Conner?" Jenna looked over at him, "We have keys, remember?"
"And Hayley helped build this lab." Zoey stepped past him and went to the computers, her face impassive.
"Ok," Kira held up a hand, "then do you guys know what happened to Dr. O?"
"And Andy." Ethan interjected.
"We know that they're in trouble. And you are the only ones who can help them." They went quiet as Hayley walked towards them. "I've been helping Tommy prepare the Ranger energies since grad-school. Who do you think built the morphers?" She asked, rolling her eyes.
Jenna laughed, "Yeah, I mean, Tommy's good with dinosaurs and fossils, but a rocket scientist, he ain't"
"And lemme guess. You are?" Conner asked, looking at Hayley.
She nodded. "Among other things."
"To be fair, though, Tommy's the best person to take your car to." Zoey called over her shoulder." He can take an engine apart and put it back together in less than two hours."
"Seriously?" Conner look over in shock. She just smirked.
"Since we're on the same page, do you know where Dr. Oliver and Andy are?" Kira asked, trying to get back on topic.
"We have a pretty good idea." Hayley nodded, and reached into her bag. She pulled out a disk and walked over to the computer. "This is a surveillance tape from the day of your gig, Kira." They watched a video of Tommy and Andy being attacked by Tyrannodrones outside the entrance to the café and taken through an Invisiportal.
"Why didn't he just morph?" Conner asked, looking up. "I mean, he's a Power Ranger."
"Not anymore," Jenna told him as Hayley took the second chair, "Or didn't you get that far?" She reached over and started the video up again, showing adult Tommy on the screen, "It wasn't long before the one thing we could have never prepared for, happened."
A new scene showed the six Rangers in the park, having a picnic, when two girls about 10 ran up to them, "Hey big brother." The dark-haired girl smiled, sitting in front of young Tommy, "Hey big brother's friends."
"Hey girls." Jason ruffled young Jenna's hair as she snuck a chip from his plate, "What are you two up to today?"
"Mom dropped us off. Told us we could go with you to the Youth Center. Is that okay?" She looked up at him and smiled.
The others snickered, knowing he was going to cave. He glanced over at Tommy and they nodded. "I see no problem with that. Where's your bikes?"
"Destroyed by the last putty attack." Zoey rolled her eyes, "The dads agreed to replace them, but…"
Jenna scoffed, "Now we're on restrictions. You can guess who came up with that."
Tommy grabbed two drinks out of the cooler and handed them to the girls, "They can't help it. You're only 10. They worry."
"Well, they wouldn't worry as much if you guys spent more time with us."
"That's not always possible. We have things…" Jason started, getting nervous when the girls smiled at each other. "What's with the wicked grins?"
"You do it." Zoey pointed, nudging her friend.
"No, you." Jenna shoved back, "You figured it out first."
"Figured what out?" Tommy asked as everyone looked at them curiously.
"Ok. So, first of all," Zoey looked at her brother, suddenly very serious, "We pretty much tell each other everything, right?"
"Absolutely." He held up a hand, "To an extent. I am a teenager, and there are just some things I don't want my baby sister knowing."
"Agreed." She shuddered, making everyone laugh, "But, we made a deal, between the two of us, that we don't keep the important stuff from each other. Life and death stuff."
Tommy looked concerned, "What's so important that you consider life and death?"
"If you knew something…"
"Like a big secret." Jenna interjected, making her friend nod in agreement.
"…like a big secret, but you knew this secret could hurt the ones you love, would you tell anyone?"
Tommy stared at her for a moment, "It depends. Is keeping the secret going to hurt the ones you love, or is telling someone going to hurt them?"
"Oh, definitely telling someone. But I'm talking about a secret my loved one has, and I've figured it out."
"We've…" Jenna pointed out.
"We've figured it out. And we want to tell our loved ones that we've figured it out, so that they don't have to hide it from us anymore."
Jenna looked at her brother, "That way it might help them to protect us better."
Getting nervous, because he was almost positive that he knew what the girls were talking about, Tommy glance at Jason over their sister's heads, "I don't know girls. This sounds important. But maybe you shouldn't tell your loved ones that you know their secret. Maybe they keep it a secret for a reason. And some secrets should stay that way."
Everyone kept quiet, following Tommy's train of thought, as the girls whispered to each other. Before they could say anything else, the group was attacked by the putties. The Rangers stood up and circled the two girls.
"Get in the middle girls." Kim said, getting into a defensive stance, "We'll protect you."
"Are you kidding me, Pinky?" Zoey got into her own defensive stance, ready to defend herself, "We've been taking Karate since we were three. You've only been active for what, a year? I'm sure the suit helped you along."
"If the helmet didn't mess up her hair." Jenna rolled her eyes.
Everyone glanced back at them with wide eyes, "What?" Zoey demanded, "Like you didn't already figure out what we were going to say. Can you kick the clay-pots butts already?"
"Or do you need to morph to do that?" Jenna looked at her brother and pointed past the circle, "Hello? Bad guys!"
"We'll talk about this later." Tommy shook his head, "Just stay in the circle."
The putties, and a newly arrived Goldar, had a better idea. In the middle of the fight, they tried to kidnap the two friends, "Stay away from our sisters, Goldar!" Jason yelled as they were pulled away from the girls, much to the monster's delight.
"I don't think so, you Wizard-of-Oz-Reject!" Zoey narrowed her eyes, nodding together with Jenna. Catching him by surprise, she kicked his arm, making him throw his sword back, at the same time that Jenna kicked him in the stomach. As one, they flipped over the putties coming at them and punch the 'Z' in the middle of the chest, causing them to shatter.
"Freaks!" Jenna yelled as they ran over to their brothers.
"You should've known better, Goldar." Tommy grinned, "We taught them well."
"This isn't over Rangers!" The monkey growled before disappearing.
"I bet he says that a lot." Zoey crossed her arms
"Where did you two learn how to do that?" Kim asked, looking at the girls.
"Is she for real?" Zoey looked over at Jenna, who looked as confused as she did, "Seriously?" She asked, turning to her brother, pointing to the Pink Ranger behind her, "Did she get hit in the head?"
Tommy rolled his eyes and slapped her in the back of her own head, "Behave."
"Ow!" She crossed her arms before turning back to look at the others, "We literally just said that we've been taking Karate since we were three."
"And that our brothers are the ones who taught us." Jenna rolled her eyes before shaking her head, "Trust us when we say, we can take care of ourselves."
The scene showed older Tommy smiling in amusement, "Those two. I swear, they surprise us more and more every day. Zordon invited them into the inner workings of the Command Center, gave them both communicators for protection, and offered them a permanent place into the Power Ranger family. Without the morpher."
The video paused at the teens looked over at the girls in awe. "I can't believe you figured it out all by yourself." Ethan said, leaning against the counter.
"Well, Ethan, it's not like we fell down a sink hole and stumbled upon the big secret." The girls laughed as Zoey smirked over her shoulder, "Besides, we both have higher than average IQs and are very observant."
"Not to mention Zoey's eidetic memory makes her a modern-day Irene Adler." Jenna got up and grabbed a couple of drinks. "How's it coming, Hayley?" She asked, handing one to Zoey.
"Working on it, girls." The red-head sighed before muttering, "Pre-historic Freak."
They chuckled at her frustration. "Who's Irene Adler?" Conner asked, looking at Jenna.
"She's the female version of Sherlock Holmes." Hayley continued typing, "Now, I'm trying to focus here. Watch some more of the video." She pressed play, causing the scene to switch.
"Try to escape this, Power Rangers!" A red alien with silver staff laughed maniacally.
"A new villain, Lord Zedd, was destroying Earth. And with three Rangers leaving, a new Power source had to be found," Tommy's spoke, continuing his story.
"The Sword of Light will allow your powers to be transferred to create new Rangers." At Zordon's voice, Jenna and Zoey looked at each other, smiling in melancholy.
Tommy smiled in recognition, as the three new selected teens came into view on the screen, "Rocky! Adam! Aisha!"
"Isn't this incredible?"
"Trini, Zack and Jason passed on their powers, and the three new Rangers stepped forward," Tommy explained.
They saw Rita and Zedd crossing their staffs together, "By the power and force of lightning, make our monster grow!" They watched as some skeleton creature tripled in size.
"And just in time, as Rita and Zedd teamed up to form our most powerful enemy yet, bringing with them a new terror – Rito. The new team fought bravely, but it wasn't enough. Rito destroyed our Zords." Tommy explained as they saw the destruction.
"Looks like we lost more than just our Zords. We've lost our Powers." Tommy said, looking at the other.
"Your journey is about to begin!" A warrior in blue, with a sword on its back, spoke.
Zoey shook her head, "I'm going to slap my brother." Hayley paused the video as everyone looked at her, "What? I'll make sure he's safe first. Honestly."
"Are you mad because he skipped the trials of getting to the temple and Ninjor's arrogance upon meeting them for the first time?" Jenna asked, curious.
"Yes!"
Jenna nodded, "Just checking."
"He's completely down playing it." She looked up at her friend, "You know, if I wanted to be mean, I could show this video to the others. See if they find it as offensive as I do."
"Diabolical. I like it." They laughed, completely missing the looks the younger teens were sending them and pressed play on the video. Hayley shook her head in amusement.
"A Ranger never gives up. Zordon sent us on a quest to find Ninjor, a warrior from the past who showed us the secrets of the ancient Ninja." Tommy told them. Zoey paused it again.
"Side note, J." She looked over, "Let's not show this to our friends in Blue Bay. They may get a little snobbish about the suits."
"I completely agree, even though I know exactly who you're referring to." She glared at her before nodding in agreement. The pressed play again, ignoring the looks from the others.
"Our quest complete, we gained new weapons, new Zords, and new enemies." The scene showed the Rangers, in new gear, fight giant mutated birds, "But along with new enemies, came new friends," They saw him greeting a new girl named Kat. "When Kimberly chose to leave, Katherine was the only choice," It switched to Kim giving Kat her coin, "Katherine assumed the Pink Ranger powers, and just in time. We were under attack." Sparks flew all over their Command Center, just before blowing up, "We got out just as Rita and Zedd succeeded in destroying the Command Centre," It changed again to the Rangers pulling out a large crystal from the wreckage.
"It's all here," Tommy spoke. "This is incredible." He looked down at Zoey and Jenna, both out of breath, "Are you two sure you're okay? Jenna? I don't need your brother killing me."
They shook their heads, smiling in appreciation, "We're fine."
The ground started to shake and the earth beneath them collapsed, causing everyone to fall down a long hole.
"Beneath the ruins, we found the Zeo Crystal, a mystical power that guided us into the next chapter of our lives as Rangers," Tommy explained.
"Rangers. The power of the Zeo Crystal now resides within you. They will bestow you with powers beyond your imagination," Zordon explained as they received new morphers. They removed their helmets and revealed new powers and new colors. The girls were standing next to Billy, who had stepped down to work full time in the Power Chamber.
"I am so telling Tanya." Jenna muttered, causing Zoey to grin as she paused it.
"What? That he never mentioned her name?" At her friend's smirk, she nodded, "Agreed. As long as I get to show Jason the video first." They smiled, "Plus, he completely skipped over Master Vile, the Aquitians, their quests or how Tanya got there." Nodding in agreement, they pushed play and continued watching.
"The Zeo Powers were awesome, but when we needed reinforcements, we turned to an old friend," Tommy spoke again, and the video showed Tommy grinning.
"The new Gold Ranger is right here," Tommy pointed behind him, to show a grinning Jason.
"Speaking of Jason." Zoey laughed as Jenna rolled her eyes, pausing once more, "He didn't mention Trey!"
"They're both dorks." They pushed play again, ignoring the looks the teens kept sending them.
"Jason returned, and assumed the power of the Gold Ranger." The video continued, showing Jason fighting some of his battles. Then the scene switched to their graduation ceremony.
"After high-school graduation, we were ready to face the world. But not before going on one last adventure as Rangers. It was time to shift into a higher gear," They saw the Rangers walking toward Zord-like vehicles. Jenna paused it again.
"What a moron!"
"I know." Zoey threw up her hands, "They got those powers before graduation." They shook their heads in disgust, "Legendary Memory Loss, at it again." She hit play.
"Shift into Turbo!" They saw them driving through the desert in perfect formation.
"The old Rangers were gone forever. But the Turbo Rangers were born. A space pirate named Divatox launched an attack on Earth. We were given the powers of Turbo and took her head-on! With a little help."
"Guys, I'm the new Blue Ranger!" A young boy with brown hair smiled, standing next to a blue jeep. Zoey and Jenna were right next to him. Ethan leaned over and turned the video off himself. The girls looked over to him staring at them.
"What?"
"That's a kid."
"What's your point?" Zoey pointed, "That's Justin. The Morphing Grid altered his physiology when he morphed. Made it an even playing field. We were there the day he got chosen. Zordon asked us to ride with him to help get Lerigot and his family to safety. We were 13 and had just joined our Ninja Academies. He knew we could handle ourselves."
"We did promise to stay out of the way as much as possible, though. Let the Rangers do all the main fighting and stay with Lerigot." Jenna interjected, "Jason nearly blew a gasket when he saw me. But we did as we were told and stayed by the Liarians the whole time."
"If, during that time, we got to kick a few Piranhatron butts, so be it." Zoey turned back around and resumed the video. They saw a truck spinning out of control as it was being shot at by Piranhatrons on motorcycles.
"Tommy, look out!" Kat yelled out as Tommy was caught in an explosion and knocked out. They see four new teens helping out in the attacks, garnering attention from the Rangers.
"You've been asked to select an outstanding individual who will take over as your successor." A new mentor, an ethereal woman in white, spoke, making the girls roll their eyes. She didn't like them much, "We welcome them now into the Power Ranger family!"
"TJ, Cassie, Ashley, and Carlos, proved they had what it takes," Tommy commentated as the new Rangers stepped forward in their suits.
"I wouldn't be standing here today, T.J.," Young Tommy stepped forward, addressing his successor, "if it weren't for your courage and strength. I choose you to lead the team as the new Red Ranger."
Hayley paused the video, "After that, Tommy went to college, where he met yours truly." she told them briefly. "But when he found the Dino Gems, he knew he could never escape the Power for long."
"That's because he's cursed." Zoey sighed as Jenna nodded in agreement, "I keep telling you, the Morphing Gods love to mess with him. He's their favorite target."
"Morphing Gods?" Conner asked, looking skeptical.
Jenna grabbed him by the shoulder and looked at the three teens, "Do not mock the Morphing Gods. We all believe in them and show them absolute respect."
"Most of the time anyways." Zoey quirked a brow at Hayley, "Some are non-believers."
"I never said I didn't believe in them." The genius defended herself, "I just haven't seen any proof yet."
"The proof is in the Grid, Hayley" Jenna turned back around, "They created it. It exists outside of space and time. It's practically a living entity."
"Before you get into a debate about some non-existent deities," The girls looked at Ethan in alarm, "can we get back to the subject at hand? I don't want us to be the end of the line, so how about we get back to finding Dr. O and Andy?"
"You think we haven't been looking?" Zoey glared at him as she stood up, "We've been looking for them since they disappeared on Friday. Trust me when I say this; my brother is one of the most important people in the world to me. If not the most important. I immediately left my classes and took off for Angel Grove to assist in the search." She sat back down. "Don't you dare say we haven't been looking."
"Yeah, Tommy's her trigger point," Jenna patted his back, "and Andy's been one of our closest friends for years. I'd watch what you say."
Conner patted him on the shoulder and whispered, "Did they say Ninja Academies?"
Ethan just shrugged.
"I just thought of something." Kira pulled the attention toward her, "What about the Invisiportals? They're all over the city. If we could find one, we could get into Mesogog's lab."
"We've been working on that very thing," Hayley nodded. "It hasn't been going very well. I need just a little more time." She sighed, shaking her head.
"Ok, so what are we supposed to do while you're doing that?" Conner frowned, not liking the idea of sitting around doing nothing.
"Here. Watch more of your heritage," Hayley decided, bringing up more footage of past teams. "You might learn something."

They continued watching past footage, starting with the Turbo Rangers Command Center blowing up. Zoey sighed, knowing how difficult it is watching that for the second time. The scenes moved on to the Turbo Rangers following Divatox into space, joining Andros to become the new Space Rangers, taking on Astronema. Then they saw the Galaxy Rangers defeat Trakeena and the Lightspeed Rangers save Mariner Bay from demons.
After a while, Hayley paused the video again, causing Ethan to cry out in protest.
"Hey! I was watching that!"
"Sorry, but I've got something." Hayley told them, typing on the keyboard.
"What, you found them?" Conner asked.
"Almost. I've got a lock on the backdoor to Mesogog's firewall. In theory, it should lead us right to an Invisiportal." She said, focusing on the screen.
"Then what?" Kira questioned.
"We'll let you know when we get there." Zoey shook her head, typing on her laptop.

"Damn it!" Zoey threw up her hands in frustration.
"What's happening?" Conner demanded as Hayley groaned. The screens went black and displayed 'Search Failed' in red.
Hayley scowled. "Either we're losing our touch, or Mesogog is really smart."
"For a mutant freak." Jenna muttered, crossing her arms.
The screens turned back on, showing another video.
"What's it doing now?" Kira asked, as they stared at the monitors.
"It's retrieving more Ranger history," Zoey told her as the computer showed the Time Force Rangers from Silver Hills.
"Nice space ship." Ethan smiled, impressed, "Ow!" He looked down at Zoey as she pulled her elbow away from his stomach.
"My friends and I came from the year 3000," A girl explained, wearing a white uniform, as she held up a morpher.
"Whoa, hold up!" Ethan paused the video again. "Rangers, from the future?"
"They're down with time travel and everything, right?" Kira mused as she looked at the other two Rangers, "Couldn't they take us back to the moment when Dr. O and Andy were kidnapped?"
"What, so we can watch it happen all over again?" Conner scoffed. Everyone turned to stare at him, "Oh, so we can stop them. Got it."
"That's not how time travel works." Zoey looked up at Jenna and rolled her eyes.
"Well, it's worth a shot. Let's see if it tells us how to stop them." Kira said as she resumed the video.
"We're trying to capture a group of mutants that escaped through time, and take them back with us." The girl explained to a young man sitting on a motorcycle, "We think you may be the only one who can unlock these morphers so we can defeat them." The video changed to show her giving the guy the morpher to join her team.
"Rangers from the future chased a mutant criminal through time," Tommy spoke as the five new Rangers morphed. "But it took a modern-day hero to help finish the job," It flipped scenes and showed another young man being thrown about before gaining a morpher of his own. "It took awhile for Eric to learn that the greatest virtue of being a Ranger is not the power, but the reward of helping mankind."
"Awhile my foot." The girls shared a laugh at Zoey's joke.
"Still take him over Jungle Boy." Jenna poked her friend in the shoulder.
"In a heartbeat."
"Well, that was sick, but not helpful." Ethan grumbled looking around.
"Ok, so what about all the other Rangers?" Conner suggested. "I mean, there must be hundreds of them all over the place! Couldn't we team up and scout all over the city."
"Did he just say 'hundreds'?" Jenna asked, confused.
"Yeah, there hasn't been that many teams Conner." Zoey sighed as Hayley laid a hand on her shoulder.
"It's not that easy," The genius explained, "Most Rangers don't have their powers anymore. Some never wanted them at all." She pushed play on the video again.
"We need a fifth Ranger," A girl in a white vest said, speaking to two boys: one in a blue vest and one in a black vest. A Yellow Ranger flew down on wings and landed behind them.
"Calm down guys," The Ranger said, demorphed, revealing a blonde girl in a yellow vest. "I say we're doing just fine the way we are."
"Cole joined the team, and the Wild Force Rangers used the spirits of the ancient animals to fight the evil Orgs; creatures determined to conquer Earth through pollution and destruction. The final member to join was Merrick, the lunar wolf," The video showed a man in white robes morphing into a blue and silver suit, standing with the rest of the team.
"And meanwhile, back in reality, we still have no way to find Dr. O or Andy." Ethan told them all, bringing them back down to Earth.
"There's one more group of Rangers out there." Hayley looked over at Zoey and Jenna, "There's a guy named Cam on their team. He's even more of a genius at this stuff than I am." Zoey's eyes got wide as she looked at the red head.
"Did you just admit that someone was smarter than you?"
Jenna put her hand on the older woman's forehead, "Are you feeling sick?"
"Knock it off." She grinned, knocking her hand away from her.
"Try typing in Ninja Storm." Everyone look over at Conner's suggestion, "What? My twin brother went to this super-secret Ninja school. Everyone there knew a few of the students got chosen to be Rangers!"
"Your brother was a Power Ranger?" Ethan looked incredulous.
"Nah!" The jock laughed, "He couldn't even finish Ninja School. He's, like, a total airhead. We're so different." He chuckled, missing looks he received.
"Eric."
"Wait, what?" Conner looked down at Zoey as she crossed her arms, smiling, "How do you know my brother's name?"
"I thought Conner looked familiar, I just couldn't pin point it." Jenna shook her head in frustration.
"Eric just had to blab, didn't he." Zoey looked up at the Airhead, "He wasn't supposed to tell you any of that stuff. Which is probably why he told you that he was kicked out."
"He wasn't?" She grinned at the question and turned back to the monitor.
"Look. We found them!" Hayley spoke up, looking back over at the girls before hitting play.
The scene showed a young man with glasses, covered in dirt and holding a box out to the three teens in front of him, "These are your Power Ranger Wind Morphers."
The boy in red stared in shock as the girl in blue looked skeptical, "Yeah, right!"
They guy in yellow laughed in excitement. "Yes! See? I knew it dude! I was right, Power Rangers are real!" He was cheering happily as he took his morpher.
"From this point, you will be known as the Wind Power Rangers," A talking guinea pig, to the Dino Rangers surprise, spoke.
"Three unlikely Ninja students commanded the Power of Earth, Air and Water." Tommy spoke up as they watched them take on their enemies in a quarry.
"Not too long after, a new Ranger arrives in Blue Bay Harbor, eager to help out." The scene switch to show a Pink Ninja Ranger fighting a giant pig monster.
"Fire Bow!" The Ranger summoned a pink bow and aimed it at the monster.
"What are you going to shoot me with, air?" The monster demanded
Instead of replying, she pulled the bow string back to charge it.
"Fox Fire!" She called, and a starburst of pink arrows shot at the monster, slamming into him. He cried out, before falling backwards, exploding.
"That was awesome!" The three ran over, and Zoey turned to face them. "I've never seen moves like that before, it was amazing." The Yellow Ranger said, practically vibrating with excitement.
She nodded her head, "Thank you"
"Excuse me, but um, who are you? No offense, but we weren't told of any other Ninja Rangers out there." After the others demorphed and introduced themselves, the new Pink Ranger followed suit, revealing a familiar face.
"Whoa!" Ethan leaned over and paused the video, looking down at Zoey in shock, "You were a Power Ranger?"
"And a Fire Ninja." Jenna leaned on her friend's chair, smirking the teens, "Come on guys. You saw us fight the first day you got your gems. Are you telling me you didn't see us using our abilities?" She rolled her eyes. "And we did just say that we went to Ninja Academies. Put it together."
"Well, we were a little more focused on our individual fights than watching each other." Kira explained, a hand on her hip, "Wait, both of you?"
"How about we finish watching the video before we get into anymore discussions about it?" Hayley smirked as she pushed play again.
"As a Fire Ninja from the Flame Academy in Stone Canyon, my sister was the perfect candidate to be gifted the Pink Fire Morpher and join the Rangers in Blue Bay." Tommy continued the story as they watched Zoey explore their Ninja Ops and introduce herself to the genius Cam and their Sensei.
The scene switched to show the Crimson and Navy Rangers on bikes, "Let's show these posers how it's done!" The took off and attacked the Rangers, sending them to the ground.
"It was the Power of Thunder that gave them their biggest challenge." The video showed the Crimson and Navy Rangers holding Cam. They demorphed, causing the other Rangers to step back in surprise.
"But their greatest enemies…"
"Blake?"
"If you hurt him, I will hunt you down," Tori growled.
"You better believe it," Zoey joined in, "I don't go easy on people who hurt my friends. Human or not. I will take you both down. Fair warning. You don't piss off a Pink Ranger. You won't like the results."
The brothers looked over at her, nervous. "Leave him," Hunter said as they tossed Cam into the others, "We've got what we want."
They saw Hunter stumbling around before demorphing, "It's coming back! Aah!"
"Proved to be their greatest allies."
"I remember."
"Do you know who we are?" Shane asked cautiously.
"Yeah, my friends." Hunter nodded. The scene changed again to show a monster controlling Zoey, who was aiming her bow at her teammates.
"Hunter, be careful." Blake warned as he looked back at his brother, while their weapon rested on his shoulder. "If you hit Zoey, it could strip her of her power."
"Do it! Before I lose control!" Zoey yelled as her bow started to spark in pink flames.
"It's too risky." Shane muttered as he and the others lowered their weapon.
"But we don't have any choice here." Hunter said as they threw down their own.
"I knew you didn't have it in you." Choobo laughed. "Five powerless Rangers, coming up!" He increased his hold on Zoey, causing the pink light began to increase.
Just then, shards of ice sliced through the strings, freeing Zoey. She dropped down and rolled away, shooting the arrow at Choobo.
They looked over just as a purple streak hit Choobo multiple times, sending him backwards. Finally, the streak stopped moving and landed in between the Rangers and a fallen Choobo.
"Is that…?" Shane inquired.
"What?!"
"No way!"
Zoey looked over and smiled. "Guys, I believe we have a new friend." She stood back up and looked at her shocked friends. "A Purple Ranger."
The new Ranger demorphed, revealing Jenna in black Ninja gear with a purple symbol on it.
"Jenna, top in her class at the Winter Academy, was gifted the Ice Morpher by her Sensei, and traveled to Blue Bay to help her friend and fellow Rangers."
"Sorry to spoil your fun!" They saw Cam holding up a glowing necklace.
"With Earth on the brink of destruction, another friend, Cam, went back in time, to retrieve the one power that could save them all. The power of the Green Samurai." They saw the Green Ranger demorph to reveal the computer genius.
The scene switched again as the Rangers were facing off against multiple Kelzacks before two streaks of lightning shot out of the sky, taking out half of the Kelzacks at once.
"That so wasn't Hunter." Zoey said, shaking her head. Looking over, they saw two blurs streak into view, taking out more Kelzacks. When the streaks stopped, revealing two new Rangers: one black and one white. Their uniforms identical to the Thunders.
"More reinforcements were sent from the Lightning Academy located in Angel Grove. Little did they know, these Rangers were friends." They demorphed to show a teen girl and boy.
"Andy!" The Dinos exclaimed, before being shushed by the others.
"Like Zoey and Jenna, Raina and Andy were Ranger Legacies." Tommy continued.
"Guys let me introduce you to the newest Rangers." Zoey said, arms slung around their shoulders, "That's Raina Mariposa De Santos and her partner in crime-fighting is Andrew Zachariah Park."
"In their final battle against Lothor, the Rangers made the ultimate sacrifice." Tommy continued as the scene changed to show Lothor fighting them at the Abyss of Evil.
"I have your Ranger Powers!" Lothor declared, holding up the Samurai Amulet.
"We may not be Power Rangers, but we still have power!" Shane was back on his feet. "Power of Air!"
"Power of Earth!"
"Power of Water!" The three Wind Ranger combined their powers, and sent Lothar into the Abyss, defeating once and for all.
"Whoa! Ninjas are real!" Ethan exclaimed in excitement. "I knew it! And we're sitting in the same room as two of them, right now."
"Not to mention being on a team with one." Kira smiled.
"And being mentored by another." Jenna looked over at them, "Tommy?"
"Hey, my brother taught me some of his moves," Conner told them. "Check it out!" Before the girls could stop him, he stepped back and performed a series of punches and kicks before spinning around and kicking the main computer. Sparks flew out as the screen froze.
"Oh, please tell me that did not just happen," Kira breathed, eyes wide.
"I think we just lost our last hope of finding Tommy," Hayley's eyes were wide. After a moment of pause, Zoey stood up and grabbed Conner by his shirt.
"I don't believe in violence as rule, because there should always be another way to resolve a conflict." She shoved him up, her strength surprising him, "But I'm warning you now, if that kick just mess up our only chance of finding my brother and our friend, I will go full Ninja on your sorry ass. You will understand what it means to truly piss off a Pink Ranger. And you won't like it. Do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal." She smiled, let go, and went back to her seat.
"Ok, Conner. A little heads up here. Your brother showed you that before telling you that he couldn't finish his Ninja Training. Is that right?" He nodded, "So, that's an Earth Ninja technique. He wasn't very good at it. But he told you that because he was transferred to a different Academy. The Thunder Academy, to be exact. And you didn't know, because they finally got it in his head that no one was supposed to know about it. So I wouldn't go around telling anyone else that your brother goes or used to go to a super-secret Ninja School."
"Not to mention the total lack of experience. It takes lots of training to master any one element." Zoey looked up, "Trust me. An Earth Ninja, you ain't."

After a little while of Hayley and Zoey typing away, Conner finally asked.
"Anything?"
"Got it!" Hayley yelled as the screen returned to normal.
"We are so lucky you two are geniuses." Ethan grinned.
"Even geniuses need help sometimes." Hayley looked at them with a wide smile. "That little jolt must have done something to the wiring, 'cause we're getting something!" They all looked back to the computer, just as Tommy's video returned to the screen.
"With the return of Mesogog, it become necessary to invoke the power of the Dino Gems. Should anything happen to me, these four are in charge of protecting the planet," Tommy told them, and the video changed to footage of the four Rangers receiving their morphers, and morphing.
"It's us." Kira breathed out, smiling.
"You're in good hands." Tommy nodded.
"He really trusts us." Conner muttered.
"He does." Hayley confirmed with a smile.
"We have to save him. We owe it to him," Ethan spoke up.
"The whole world owes him." Kira agreed.
Zoey nodded, looking at Conner, "I apologize, Conner. I can be a little overprotective when it comes to Tommy. I've gotten better over this past year, experiencing the hardships of being a Ranger myself, but not completely. I'm working on it."
He nodded, "No need to apologize. Honestly, I don't know what I would do if it was Eric. Knowing Dr. O's history now, I can understand it more. And I promise to be more understanding and less insensitive." He smiled, "Well, I'll try."
"That's all I ask." They shook hand and turned back to the screens.
"It worked!" Hayley looked back at the computer and smiled widely. "I've got a lock on an Invisiportal!" she told them quickly as she zoomed in on the location.
"Time to go save our friends." the Red Ranger grinned as he put his hands together. The other two nodded in agreement, ready to take care of business.
