Chapter 5: Back in Black

"It worked!" Hayley looked back at the computer and smiled widely. "I've got a lock on an Invisiportal!" she told them quickly as she zoomed in on the location.
"Time to go save our friends." The Red Ranger grinned as he put his hands together. The other two nodded in agreement, ready to take care of business.

After Hayley and Zoey locked onto the Invisiportal's coordinates, the Rangers nodded to each other and started to head out to rescue their friends.
"Remember, you have to reach a speed of 563 miles per hour upon entry, otherwise you'll never make it past the security wall and will probably be ripped to pieces!" They froze upon hearing Hayley's word, "Did I not mention that?" Hayley looked over to see them staring.
Jenna laughed, "We can take that as a yes."
"Never fear, we have something for just such an occasion," Zoey pressed a button on the keyboard, making a wall rose up nearby to reveal six bikes in red, blue, yellow, green, pink and purple.
"Which one's mine?" Conner asked with a wide grin, and the others looked at him. "I'm kidding!" He rolled his eyes, ignoring their looks.
"You so weren't kidding." Ethan argued with a grin.
"These are your new Raptor Cycles." Hayley walked over to the bikes. "They should get the five of you to the portal coordinates in approximately 92.75 seconds."
"The five of us?" Ethan quirked a brow.
"Yes, Hayley." Zoey crossed her arms as she and Jenna looked at her, "Why is there a pink and purple bike?"
"I would love to hear this." Jenna tapped her foot.
"We were planning on telling you, but we were going to wait until the situation absolutely called for it." Hayley sighed before walking over to a safe, "I think the situation calls for it." She brought over a small suitcase and handed out to the girls. "Open it."
"As I'm pretty sure I know exactly what's in here," Zoey grabbed the case, "how about you explain how they were made. Our gems aren't connected to anything."
"Your gems?" Conner asked, coming closer, "You two have gems?"
"They're not like yours. Not exactly." Jenna looked at them, "Our gems are unique."
"Tommy had four gems that had no power and no connection to any dinosaur." Zoey laid the case down, "During the island explosion, the gems melded from four to two gems. Jenna's holds the silver and purple gem. And mine hold the gold and pink gem." They grabbed their bracelets out of their bags and put them on so the teens could see them.
"We found them in Tommy's house last year. They still showed no signs of power, so he had them on display on the fireplace mantle. None of us were expecting for them to light up when we picked them up," Jenna shrugged, "much less bond with our DNA."
"Your gems altered your DNA and gave you each one genetic ability. We bonded with two gems and received two genetic abilities." Zoey spoke as she opened the case, "And we'll show you those later. Right now, I need to know a little bit more about these before we put them on."
"Since there were no Bio-Zords to connect them with, or design your suits after, we took your genetic abilities and personal preferences into account." Hayley pointed to the purple one, "Since you are the Artic Mistress…"
"Master." The girls said together.
"Master. We used the bio-genetic DNA of a Dire Wolf for your morpher. Your suit will be similar to Kira's, except the helmet. Think of a feminine, more canine version of Conner's."
"Hey!"
Ignoring the laughter, Hayley pointed to the pink one, "We used a mix of prehistoric fox DNA for yours. The Red Fox actually lived around the same time as the Dire Wolf, so it make the creation of the morphers and the suits easier."
"So my suit is going to be identical to Jenna's"
"Yes." The genius held out the case, "Ready to go find Andy and your brother?"
The girls looked at each and nodded. They grabbed their morphers and slapped them against the bracelets, melding them together.
"Now that we have the help, what do we do when we get there?" Kira asked.
"You'll use your Gems to access the Hyper Drive. Then head straight through the portal to Mesogog's island fortress." Hayley told them, and Conner's grin instantly dropped.
"Wait, did you just say, 'island fortress'?" Conner asked slowly.
"Yes, why?" Hayley frowned at him.
"Well, islands, they're... surrounded by water." Conner said looking down.
"Usually." Jenna said, looking confused.
Ethan's eyes widened, "No. You can't swim?"
"I didn't say that!"
"But it's true. You can't," Ethan grinned.
"The Invisiportal will take us directly to the island," Zoey said, smiling at Conner, "You'll never have to get wet." She turned and glared at Ethan. "I'd shut it, if I were you, Blue Boy. Because, when we find my brother, I'm going to have him put me in charge of your PT." She patted him on the shoulder, "And you're going to need it."
Ethan stopped laughing, suddenly very scared. Grinning, Conner looked at the others, "You guys ready?"
"Ready!"
"DINO THUNDER, POWER UP, HA!"
"Feels good to back in the Power!" Jenna looked down at her suit in excitement. Similar to Kira's, it was purple with black diamonds and silver accents. She high-fived Zoey, whose suit was pink with black diamonds and gold accents.
"Nice!"
"Let's go." They jumped on the cycles and took off to find their friends.

When they reached the designated coordinates at the beach, they came to a stop and looked around them.
"Whoa, it just stopped," Ethan frowned down at his bike.
"What's up with that?" Conner asked as they climbed off.
"This must be where Hayley programmed the coordinates." Kira said, looking at the two new Rangers for confirmation.
"It's the right place alright." Zoey nodded.
"Look," Jenna exclaimed, pointing ahead of them, "there's the Invisiportal."
"I sure hope Dr. O. and Andy are on the other side of that thing." Kira said, coming up beside her.
"Only one way to find out." Conner decided. "You guys ready?"
"You know it."
As they got back on their bikes, they saw Zeltrax, Elsa and a group of Tyrannodrones show up with a new monster.
"Hey! No-one invited you to the party." Conner yelled, throwing his hands up.
"I'm crashing." Elsa called, gesturing to Zeltrax and the others with her, "And I brought a few friends. Is that rude?" She smirked.
"Extremely." Kira growled.
"You're not getting through that portal unless you're in chains." Zeltrax growled, stepping forward.
"I might be able to pull that look off." Kira smirked, "But these guys? No way."
"You don't know us, yet." Jenna leaned forward, "But you're going to."
"That's right. And you're gonna learn, really quick," Zoey revved her bike, "that there's no chain in the world that can hold us."
"You two have a mouth on you." Elsa frowned, "I'm gonna enjoy silencing them."
"Enough small talk. I vote we go for it!" Conner called out, looking at the others.
"Yeah!"
They sped forwards on their bikes as Elsa called out an order to attack. The villains ran forward to meet the Rangers head on.
They used their bike's weapons to shoot lasers at the creatures, taking out several Tyrannodrones in the process.
As Conner took on Zeltrax and Elsa, Ethan and Kira teamed up and blasted the new monster with their bikes. Deciding that the others had it handled, Zoey and Jenna focused on eliminating the Tyrannodrones. Jenna used her ice powers to freeze the creatures in place, while Zoey sent energy blasts out and sent them flying back. She looked up just as Elsa was going to attack Kira from behind. She flicked her wrist to manipulate the light and blinded the henchwoman; causing her to stumble back in alarm.
"You gotta do better than that if you want to beat us, Gothisaurus!" The new Pink Ranger smirked as they regrouped, looking at the portal.
"Guys hurry! The portal's still open!" Ethan realized.
"We can do it!" Conner nodded. "Follow me!" They gunned their engines and headed towards the portal, evading Elsa's blast along the way.
"Yeah!" They Red Ranger called, excited, "Punch it!"
"Let's do it, guys!"
"Maximum speed!"
"Almost there!"
"All right!" They hit the portal and was surrounded by a green light before they stopped in what appeared to be a hallway.
"Hayley! We're in!" Conner as they got off their bikes.
"Good. I'll recalibrate the bikes for your exit." Hayley told them as they looked around.
"Ok."
"You have about five minutes," She warned as they demorphed and followed Kira through the halls.
"Five minutes?" Jenna smirked, "Is that all?"
"The lab should be right around here, I think." Kira panted as they ran around a corner, "At least we still have the element of-"
"Welcome." A dinosaur mutant on two legs and wearing a long black duster appeared, casing them to skid to a halt, "We've been expecting you."
"Surprise." Kira said, finishing her sentence as the back away from the creature.
"You remember me, I trust?" Mesogog asked, nodding to the girl in yellow.
"Like I could forget that face?" Kira questioned as the door behind them shut, trapping them.
"Uh, what part's his face?" Ethan asked, looking at his friend.
"The twisted grotesque part." Zoey crossed her arms, "You know, the thing with the hole in the front that's trying to make sound come out."
Laughing, Jenna quirked an eyebrow, "Trying. And failing."
"Obviously, you are in need of some discipline," Mesogog growled as he raised his hands, sending a weird beam of energy from his head. Fortunately for them, Elsa, Zeltrax and their monster appeared through another Invisiportal, taking the hit instead.
"Come on!" Kira yelled, leading them away from the bad-guy's screams.
They ran into the lab, looking around, before they heard Tommy and Andy calling out to them.
"Tommy!" Zoey ran over to her brother to check on him while Jenna did the same to Andy.
"Good timing. Hit the red button on the panel!" He instructed as they freed him. Ethan ran over and hit the button, which closed the doors and shut out their pursuers. "Should have known you'd try and rescue us."
"Is that your way of saying thank you?" Zoey frowned, "We have been worried sick about you two. We've had Cam running satellite scans all weekend. Billy and Justin have been using the Chamber's scanners to do searches through space and intergalactic wormholes."
"Not to mention shifts in the dimensional pockets." Jenna glared at Andy, "Do the morphers not work here? Or did Mesogog take it from you?"
"He didn't take it." He rolled his eyes, "I just couldn't reach it."
"I'm surprised he didn't try. I would have thought that was his goal."
"Oh, he did." Tommy smiled, working at the console, "Andy just kept shooting lightning from his fingers. Nobody could get close to him."
"Idiots really should have taken it while I was still knocked out."
"We really should put a stronger tracker on these damn things." Zoey sighed.
"Look, I'm sorry. I'll apologize and give everyone a proper thank you once we get outta here." Tommy pressed another button on the console, creating a new Invisiportal, "We can use the main Invisiportal network. Hayley gave you the Raptor Cycles, right? This way!"
Ethan grabbed his arm, "We need to talk."
"Go! I'll explain everything later!"
"We already know everything." Conner gestured.
"We found the video diary." Kira nodded.
"We know you're a Power Ranger." The Blue Ranger continued, ignoring the glares Zoey and Jenna were throwing at him.
"Was, Ethan. He was a Power Ranger. Not anymore," Andy corrected the Blue Ranger. The doors were forced open, and Mesogog and his minions crowded into the lab.
"Ranger or not, you're mine now." Mesogog growled at them.
"I hate when he gets like this." Tommy sighed.
"Tell me about it." Andy rolled his eyes, "Been listening to it all weekend."
"We can take it from here, Dr. O.," Conner nodded, and their teacher moved, nodding to his sister, "Ready?"
"Ready!"
"DINO THUNDER, POWER UP, HA!"
Mesogog growled angrily "Attack!" His minions ran past him to follow his orders. The Rangers separated and summoned their Thundermax Sabers to take on their own group.
Zoey jumped over the ones that lunged at her and slashed at them with her Saber. She blocked an attack coming from behind her and tornado kicked it back into Mesogog's new creature. As he charged at her, she ducked under his tentacles and kicked him in the stomach, sending it into the table Tommy had been strapped in.
"Dude, what the hell is that thing supposed to be?" Jenna asked, flipped over another lizard, freezing it in place.
"I have no idea." Zoey flipped backwards onto her hands and pushing off the top of a chair and back onto the floor as the creature ran at her. "He kind of reminds me of a warped version of the Spit Flower." She sent an energy blast at him, temporarily know him out.
She looked over to see Mesogog throw Tommy into a console before falling to the ground.
"Tommy!"
"Head for the portal!" Tommy yelled back at them. "I gotta get something!"
"Are you kidding me?" Zoey yelled back, clearly frustrated.
"Come on, Z. You know he can handle himself. Let's go." Andy grabbed her arm and guided her to the Invisiportal.
"But-" Conner hesitated, not wanting to leave their mentor.
"Hurry!" Tommy yelled, getting back to his feet.
They jumped through the portal and climbed onto their bikes. Tommy appeared a moment later, coming through the portal behind them, holding a large crystal under his arm.
"Do you really need a souvenir?" Conner demanded as the return portal reappeared in front of them, wincing as Zoey punched him in the arm.
"This one, we do need," Tommy confirmed as Elsa, Zeltrax and the monster ran in behind them with more Tyrannodrones. "Go, I'm right behind you!" They nodded and sped back through the portal, returning to the city.
"Where is he?" Conner asked as they slowed to a stop and looked around.
Tommy reappeared moments later, still carrying the crystal, and Elsa and the others followed behind him. "What a surprise. They followed us. How original." Jenna muttered.
Zeltrax blasted him with blue energy from his sword and Tommy blocked it with the crystal. The crystal absorbed the blast, causing a bright light to emanate from it, before exploding. A white flash blinded everyone before sending Tommy back. When their vision cleared, Tommy was nowhere to be found.
"Dr. O.?"
"No. No, no, no…" Zoey started to hyperventilate in fear, "Tommy?" She whispered, being held up by Andy and Jenna as they looked around for their friend and mentor.
"This can't be happening!" Kira cried as she fell to her knees, staring at the spot where they had seen their teacher standing.
"Such negativity," Elsa smirked widely at them. "Haven't you learned that in our world, anything's possible?"
Zeltrax laughed, "Even the destruction of the great Doctor Tommy Oliver."
"I heard my name," Everyone froze as a voice spoke up. They looked over to see Tommy shimmer back in view, still standing and unharmed. "You missed me, didn't you Zeltrax?"
"Yes!" The Rangers ran over to him, happy to see he was okay.
"Thank Zordon!" Zoey grabbed him in a hug, relieved that her brother was still alive. She looked down as a light shown from his fist.
"Hey, Tommy, what's that?" She pointed to his hand, and gasp in surprise as his opened it to review a new gem. "The missing Black Dino Gem!"
"And now you have the power of invisibility!" Jenna shook her head in amazement.
"Looks like it." Tommy agreed with a smile.
"That Gem belongs to my master!" Elsa growled at them.
"There's two things you guys gotta learn about Dino Gems," Tommy replied, grinning. "One, you can't choose them. They choose you." He told her as she glared suspiciously at him.
"What's the other?" She demanded.
He raised his arm to reveal a black morpher, "They go real well with Dino Morphers." He combined the still glowing gem to the morpher.
"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me." Zoey slapped a hand on her helmet, "The Morphing Gods have done it again."
"Aren't you a little old for this, Tommy?" Elsa sneered.
"Old?" Jenna looked at her friends, "Did she really just say that?"
"Does she own a mirror?" Andy crossed his arms, "If anyone's too old, it's her."
"I may be old, but I can still pull it off." He told her confidently. "DINO THUNDER, POWER UP!" He morphed into a black suit with gold spikes down the sides and helmet. "Just like riding a bike."
"Four colors." Zoey chuckled, shaking her head.
"One more makes no difference," Zeltrax growled.
"Famous last words." Andy chuckled, angering the villain more.
Zeltrax raised his sword, "Attack!" At the order, the Tyrannodrones raced forward.
While Tommy faced Zeltrax, Conner and Andy took on Elsa. As Kira and Ethan focused on the monster, Zoey and Jenna fought off the Tyrannodrones.
"Shall we see what weapons come with these suits?" Zoey asked, flipping over two of the lizard minions before knocking their feet out from under them.
"Love to." Jenna's belt glowed before revealing two pairs of hand grips with three blades on each hand. "All right! Arctic Claws!" She jumped up, twisted in the air, and slashed down with her new weapons before landing next to Zoey, "Whose afraid of the big bad wolf?"
"Already with the puns." The Pink Ranger shook her head before accessing her own weapon, "Flame Tail!" Leaping up, she flung her arm forward and took out five Tyrannodrones with her whip. "That's different." She flicked her rest and scared a straggling T-drone, "I like it."
She back-flipped over its head, cracking her whip at the back of its head when she landed. It turned, snarled, and ran towards her. She wrapped her whip around its legs and pulled back, causing it to trip and fall. "Nice try. Hey Jenna!"
"What's up, Z?"
"How about we add a little Ninja Power to the party?"
"Sounds good to me." Jenna focused on her powers and send a powerful shock of down her arms to the Artic Claws, "Ice Blades!" Multiple crescent moon shaped shards of ice shot out and attacked the Drones, causing them to spark in pain.
Before Zoey could do the same, she heard a voice coming up behind her, "Shocker Wave!" A large sheet of green lightning came flying past, taking out multiple Drones at once. "What the hell was that?" She looked back to see Andy holding Axe up in victory.
"Nice work, Lightning Bug."
"Why thank you." He flipped up and kicked back at the Pollinator, "Is it just me, or does this guy look like a monster from the past? I know I've seen him before."
"We first thought he looked like the Spit Flower from the MMPR days," Zoey tornado kicked another back, causing it to land on Andy's axe, "but now, I'm thinking it looks more like the flower freak from last year, Florabundacus."
"Hey! You're right!" Jenna exclaimed, sending another Drone back before joining them with the monster, "I only saw images of him from the files, but he really does look like him."
"I am my own monster, you insolent children!" He roared furiously as Ethan and Kira joined them, "I'm going to teach you brats a lesson!"
"Flash Fire!" Zoey called on her Pink Flame and sent it down the whip, "9-Tail Slash!" The whip slit into nine strands before attacking the flower monster.
"Argh!" He screamed in pain as he was thrown back.
"That was awesome!" Andy clapped her on the shoulder as the whip retracted into a single baton, "What happened to the whip?"
"You didn't expect it to hang around forever, did you?"
"You guys ok?" Kira asked as Conner came over after Elsa left.
"Better than he is." Conner gestured to the monster.
"Let's put them together!" Ethan called as the four combined their weapons together and aimed it at the flower monster.
"Z-Rex Blaster!"
"Blasters at the ready!" Zoey and Jenna held up their Thundermax Blasters and took aim.
"Don't be a Pollinator hater!" the monster yelled.
"Ready?"
"Fire!"
They blasted the monster, destroying it, just as Tommy chased off Zeltrax. Predictably, dark clouds formed overhead, causing rain to revive the fallen monster.
"No way!" Tommy groaned, as the rest of the team regrouped behind him.
"Honestly, you shouldn't be surprised." Zoey laid a hand on his shoulder, "I mean, how many years were you active for? It's every bad guy's MO."
Jenna nodded, "Yeah, you know, I don't think they know how to do anything else."
Tommy sighed, knowing they were right. He looked down as his morpher beeped, "Hayley?"
"Welcome back. I've got a little homecoming present for you," They could tell that Hayley was smiling in relief, "I found it on the north side of the forest." A loud roar caused them to look up and see a massive Dino Zord ambling towards them. "Meet the Brachiozord. Retrieving the Black Gem must have awakened him. Wait till you see what he has inside. I think you can handle it from here."
The Brachiozord opened to reveal the four main Zords. As the four leapt into their Zords to create the Thundersaurus Megazord, Zoey poked her brother in the arm, "Your Zord kind of looks like Titanus."
He looked up and smiled, "Hey, you're right. Weird. Wonder if they're related."
"You wouldn't happen to have Zords for us, would you?" Jenna asked, seeing the Thundersaurus take a hit.
"Sadly, no. Since your gems aren't connected to a dinosaur, there's no Bio-Zord to match it to. We had your morphers designed to coincide with your Animal Spirits."
Zoey grinned and looked at her brother, "You know," she paused when Ethan's voice came out of the morphers.
"We could use some reinforcements!"
"Hayley, you got any more surprises?" Kira's voice sounded a little tired at the request.
"Sure do. Try the Cephala Zord." Hayley's voice spoke through their morphers.
The head on Tommy's morpher glowed before changing into a purple dinosaur, "Lock on!" He twisted the key on his morpher and the Brachiozord opened to reveal a much smaller Zord jumped out, bouncing towards the Megazord, wearing boxing gloves as it chirped loudly.
"What's that?" Kira wondered, looking down at the new Zord.
"I kinda looks like a purple boxing kangaroo." Andy smiled down at it.
"It's awesome!" Conner cheered as the little Zord came forward and started punching at the Pollinator. "Wait. Did you say kangaroo?"
"Dude, focus!" Zoey yelled into her morpher, trying to get the Red Ranger's attention.
"The Cephala Zord can link up with your Megazord for even more power!" Tommy called up to them, trying to get them back on track.
"Did you guys hear that?" Conner glanced to his friends, who nodded. "Let's do it! Ready!" They detached the right arm of the Megazord to allowed the Cephala Zord to combine with it, allowing for a more powerful punching arm.
"Cephala Power Punch!" With one jab, they sent the monster flying, causing it to explode in a shower of sparks. As the teens cheered in victory, Zoey turned to her brother.
"I have an idea that might help in future Zord battles."

The Rangers were sitting in Hayley's café, relaxing after the battle.
"What a day." Ethan determined as the four sat in Hayley's Cyberspace, which had been closed for the day. "New bikes, new Zords..."
"New Rangers." Conner finished for him, and looked over at Tommy, who was sitting opposite them. "Well, sort of new." He corrected himself, making their new team-mates laugh.
"Speaking of Zords." Andy looked at Tommy, "I know my gem was originally at the Lightning Academy. How did you get it set up with a suit, weapon and Zord by the time I found it?"
"When I scanned it to verify that it was the same as the others, the diagnostics automatically came up with the Bio-Zord it was connected to. The Spino Zord was one we had worked on, but originally not bonded to a gem. We designed the suit and weapon based on the diagnostics." Tommy shrugged, "It was just a coincidence that Mesogog sent that Zord out with the other three."
Jenna laughed, "This is the Ranger world. There are no coincidences."
Zoey walked over and sat next to her brother, "It's all set. Since Jenna and I weren't in the final Zord battle with Lothor, our Zords are still in the Zord bay at Ninja Ops."
"My Scorpion and Raina's Monarch are still there as well." Andy took a drink of his smoothie, "We had gone to the Lightning Academy to ask our Sensei for help. Lothor couldn't get to it, due to the powers that protected it, so we weren't in the last Zord battle that destroyed all of the others. Sensei Raiku immediately dispatched every Ninja to the fight."
"And I went to the Winter Academy for the same thing. Lothor hadn't attacked that one either, what with it being in the North Pole, and I knew my Sensei would want to help." Jenna smiled as she ate some fruit.
"Did you say North Pole?" Kira looked at her confused.
"Yes. Oh, Tommy. Santa told me to tell you hi. And" She paused, smiling at Zoey, "Number One said that you need to visit again." Zoey and Andy laughed at the discomfort on the Ranger Legend's face, "You know that she's always fancied you."
"Yeah, thanks for the message." He leaned back and rubbed his eyes, "Really appreciate it."
"Santa is real?" Conner looked on in awe.
"Another story for another time, Conner." Zoey threw a peanut at him, "As I was saying, Cam said we have free access to the Zord Bay. Sensei signed off on it. The Wolf and Fox Ninja Zords are at our disposal."
"Wait, so you two can join us in the Zord battles now?" Kira asked, excited, "I can't wait to see your Zords in person. I was looking through some more of the archive footage and yours were my two favorites."
"We might make a few alterations to them to fit better with the Dino Zords," Hayley looked over at the girls, "I'll talk to Cam and get his help. He worked on them for the better part of year. He'll know those things better than anyone."
"Hey, Dr. O., are you going to tell us how you happened to have that morpher ready?" Kira asked, sipping her juice.
"Right after you guys became Rangers, I got an energy reading on the tracking system. I had a good idea that it was another Gem." Tommy explained, holding a protein shake in his hand. "So, I had Hayley build the morpher, just in case." He held up his arm, which now held the bracelet with the Black Dino Gem in it. Hayley walked over, smiling at them. "Billy did have few choice words on the suit design though." She smacked his arm.
"And the day of my gig?" Kira wondered, kicking Andy in the side as he kept nudging her, "I will hurt you, Spino Boy!"
"Andy and I were coming to tell you that the energy had moved, and we needed to investigate." Tommy told them.
"When you were nabbed by the goon patrol." Conner finished, nodding. "Brutal."
"Yeah, but it all turned out ok." Tommy nodded, and got to his feet as he finished his shake. "Well, we better get going." He nodded at the girls who got to their feet.
"Going?" Hayley frowned at him. "Where are you going?"
"Shopping." He answered with a grin. "I checked my closet, and there's a serious shortage of black in there."
"You know, one of these days, someone's going to figure out what it is about a Ranger's physiology that makes one constantly wear their Ranger colors." Zoey smirked with a chuckled.
"You know, Billy started an experiment in high school to figure our that exact thing," Tommy put his hand on her shoulder as they started around the couch, "but too many variables made it difficult for him to finish it."
"Well, one day, I'm going to… " She trailed off as she started to get dizzy.
"Are you okay?" Her brother looked at her concerned.
"Yeah. I'm fine." She shook her head to clear it, "Um, as I was saying, I think I'm going to start a log, with interviews of all past Rangers…" She turned and looked at her brother, "…Phaedra." She spoke her last word before she collapsed.
Her brother caught her up, muttering a curse, "Damn it, woman." He looked at Jenna as everyone came over to see what happened, "Mother or not, she is really starting to get on my nerves. Ranger Week was bad enough."
"Tell me about it." The Purple Ranger looked concerned, "It really freaked out the civilians in our group."
"They handled it better than I thought they would." Andy said, checking on his friend, "The rest of us just got used to it."
"I've got to get her home. Put her in bed." Tommy started to walk off, "Andy can explain what he can. In the meantime, I'm going to go and take care of my sister."
Jenna turned to Hayley, "He won't eat until she wakes up. How about we go pick up some food? We can have it ready when she comes out of it."
"Sounds good."
Andy turned to the other three, "So… let's start at the beginning."

Zoey looked around, confused. Standing alone in the middle of a forest, she turned around to take in her surroundings. "What's going on? How did I get here?" Recognizing the type of trees as the ones belonging in the Magic Realm, she looked for anything familiar.
"Mom!" Putting her hand to her mouth to call out, "Mom! Phaedra!" She sighed in frustration. "Why did you pull me here? What happened to make you do this? Are you in trouble?" Not hearing anything, she kicked a tree, "Come on!" She screamed in anger. "Mom! Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
She rounded a bend of trees and stopped. "Is that… a dragon?"
