Garo: The Makai Squad: Ch1- New Team
"Read me another one!" An 8 year old Ruby requested.
"Alright one more then it's bedtime." A 10 year old Yang said before looking over the new books Uncle Crow got them. She found one with a white triangle with a red center called the Knight of Light.
"Knight of Light..." Ruby read. "What is this about?"
Yang opened and skimmed through it. She smiled.
"Something you might like." Yang smiled. "Once upon a time, there were monsters worse than Grim attacking everyone they see." Yang started.
"What are they call?" Ruby asked.
"Horror, nightmarish creatures of the darkness..." Yang continued.
"And the worst part...they can look like anyone! Not even Hunters and Huntresses can stop them." Yang continued. "But hope wasn't lost."
Ruby watches as her sister turns the page of the book and shows a picture of a cartoonish golden knight with sword.
"Who is that?" Ruby asked curious.
"Come of nowhere is a Knight in golden armor. He slews the Horror who tries to devour humanity." Yang said.
Yang showed Ruby another picture of the golden knight on a golden armored horse.
"Nothing could stop this knight's mission to save everyone from the darkness of the Horrors." Yang said.
"Wow." Ruby awed. "Do you think we'll meet him one day?"
"Who knows?" Yang asked. "But no one knows who is under the helmet of golden knight..."
"But what do they call him?" Ruby asked.
"Garo, the golden Knight or Knight of the Light." Yang answered.
(Years later)
"What kind of Grim is this!?" Ruby wondered. She and her team were enjoying a free night to themselves before wandering into a gargoyle-like creature. It roared at them since none of their weapons worked, only irritated it.
Suddenly the gargoyle like creature throws it's fist and hits Ruby before sending her flying back.
"Ruby!" Yang shouts.
The others try to swats the gargoyle creature away, but their attacks doesn't bothered it as it's focused on Ruby who tries to regain her consciousness.
"Aaahh... what is the number on that truck?" Ruby groan.
The gargoyle creature is about to get her until someone slashes the creature with a sword and forced it back.
Ruby saw a figure in front of her. It was knight in golden armor holding a broadsword. He had a wolfish helmet and a skull-styled ring on.
"Are you okay?" The knight asked as Ruby examined him. Her eyes widened when seeing his waist, it had the same symbol of the Knight of Light book.
"Is he...?" Ruby wondered.
"G-Garo!" The creature recognized.
"Garo... he is real?!" Yang wondered like her sister did after the creature mention his name.
Others were amazed that he could stop the creature from harming Ruby.
"Knight of light..." Ruby stuttered at the presence of the knight from her childhood story.
"It looks like you're famous..." the skull styled ring chuckled.
Garo goes into his battle stance as he prepared for the Horror.
The Horror rushed at Garo, but Garo dodged before kicking him away. Before the Horror could recover, Garo stabbed him in the abdomen. He thrust his sword further until the Horror puked blood and exploded. Garo sheathed his sword before jumping on a nearby roof and running away.
"I can't believe it..." Ruby said. "That was so cool!"
Suddenly Ruby's teammates come to her side.
"Who was that...?" Weiss asked.
"It's the Knight of Light!" Ruby replied with excitement.
"Who?" Weiss asked, becoming confused.
"It's an old fairytale I used to read to Ruby when she was young. It was about a golden knight who slayed demons at night." Yang explained.
"And now we get to see it for real, how cool is that!?" Ruby remarked positively.
"If that's true, then we just got nearly killed by a demon!" Blake said.
"Should we report this to Professors?" Weiss asked.
"I don't know if they're going to believe us..." Yang said.
"But I can't wait until we find out who is under the helmet!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Achoo!" The young man with black hair sneezed. He wearing a black outfit, but also has a white duster on with the emblem of a golden triangle.
"Someone must be talking about you, Raiga." Zaruba remarked.
"Must be that girl we saved." Raiga answered as he looked down on them from the roof.
"The red on looks pretty cute." Zaruba remarked.
"Hmmm... I never thought there are still people who have the book," Raiga said with a smile.
"Who knows? We might end up seeing them again," Zaruba remarked.
"They might be students from Beacon as well." Raiga said, observing their fight styles against the Horrors early.
"We should report this to the Watchdog." Zaruba recommended.
"Good call." Raiga said before leaving.
(In the Watchdog's domain)
Raiga stabbed his sword into a wolf statue. Soon he pulls out his sword and the statue emitted a dagger. Then, a woman in white clothing appears before him.
"Welcome, Raiga Saezima." The Watchdog of his district kindly said.
Raiga bowed in respect before looking up to her. Raiga took the dagger and presented it to her, which she took it.
"Thank you, this shall be properly returned to the Makai." She said.
"My Horror Hunt went on without notice."
"Bystanders?"
"Four young girls, around my age. 2 of them seem to know of Garo." Raiga reported.
"Did you have any previous encounter with them?" The Watchdog asked.
"No, but I have an idea how they knows about Garo's existence." Raiga answered.
"Care to explain?"
"I think they kept story books. You know the ones that told small tales of Garo." Raiga answered.
"They did call him the Knight of Light. And one of them seemed surprised that Garo is real." Zaruba explained.
"I see..." The Watchdog noted. "What were they doing there?"
"It looks like they're trying to fight the Horror." Zaruba explained.
"We also think they're students from Beacon." Raiga said.
"Beacon, I see." The Watchdog said. "I see...we're receiving reports of strange activities occurring there. We'd like you and three others to investigate. You'll be undercover."
"Why me?" Raiga asked.
"The two girls mention Garo, we needs to know if they will post a problem to the existence of Makai World or not." The Watchdog explains. "Also you can post in as a student at their school due to your age."
"I see..." Raiga said. He never thought he will be going to school despite working as a Makai Knight.
"Who are the other members?" Raiga asked with curious.
"We are still working on suitable candidates but I'll let you know soon."
"Understood." Raiga said before dismissed himself.
(At Ruby and Yang's home)
"Here it is!" Ruby pulled out the Knight of Light book and placed it on the table.
The girls gathered around the table as they stare at the book.
"That's the same symbol that the knight had on his waist." Blake pointed out.
"Where did you get the book?" Weiss asked.
"It's a book that our uncle Crow bought for us when we're kids," Yang answered.
"So who is the author?" Blake asked. "Maybe we can learn about who is Garo..."
"Don't know and this Garo's eyes were green. The one we saw had blue eyes." Yang stated.
"So?" Weiss asked.
"It means the one we saw might be a different one or a descendant of Garo," Blake pointed out.
"Hey! I was going to say that!" Ruby said.
"No you weren't."
"So maybe we can trace this book to the family." Yang concluded.
"We should ask uncle Crow could tell us where he bought it." Ruby said.
"That is a start."
"Tell me what?" Crow said as he entered the house.
"Uncle Crow, where did you get this book?" Ruby asked, showing him the book.
Crow took the book from Ruby's hands and looks at it.
"A woman, she was selling it at her art exhibition." Crow said.
"What is her name?" Yang asked.
Crow looks at the book Knight of Light and trying to think back.
"It's a long time ago... but I think her name is Kaoru." Crow said.
"Do you know her address?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah but I doubt you'll find her. She's been missing for years."
"Is there anyone in her family we can talk to?" Yang asked.
"I do believe that she mentioned a son."
"What is his name?" Blake asked.
"Raiga but that is all I remembered," Crow answers.
"It looks like we must find this Raiga person," Yang said.
"I can tell you the address that Kaoru gave me."
(Later)
Team RWBY found themselves at a small mansion in the woods.
"This is the place." Ruby said, reading the address card.
"Who is going to knock?" Weiss asked.
"I will!" Ruby said as she approached the door and knocks.
"I'm coming!" an elder male voice said from the door.
They see a man in his late 60s wearing a butler outfit.
"Yes?" He asked.
"We're looking for Raiga." Ruby said
In the training room, Raiga was being surrounded by 2 giant pendulums.
He soon draws out his sword from his sheath before disappearing into thin air after the pendulums passed him.
Raiga soon soar in the air as he saw his reflect on a pendulum before lands on the ground. He uses his sword to block the other one and knocking it back.
As soon as Raiga was done, he heard clapping from behind. He looked to see a girl with short white hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a black jacket with a white collared shirt underneath.
"Fenri." Raiga greeted his childhood friend.
"It's been a while, Rai." The white hair girl said with a smile.
"It's good to see you again, Fenri." Raiga said. "I take it this isn't a normal visit?"
Fenris looked at him with a smile.
"I've been assigned to your undercover team." Fenris announced.
"That's great news!" Raiga said before a pendulum went for him. Fenris summoned an energy bow before shooting the pendulum away.
"Sorry about that..." Raiga apologized.
"It's alright, Rai." Fenris said with a grin.
"Any ideas of who the other members would be?" Raiga asked. Fenris shakes her head.
"I have no idea either." Fenris answered honestly.
"Well hopefully they can be people we can depend on."
"Raiga-sama!" Gonza called.
Fenris and Raiga turn to see Gonza coming into the training room.
"Gonza, what is the matter?" Raiga asked.
"There are girls looking for you," Gonza answered.
"Girls?" Raiga asked, becoming confused. This causes Fenris looks surprised and looks back at her childhood friend.
"Who would thought Rai would have secret admirers at his door..." Fenris chuckled.
Raiga blushed and looked at her.
"I don't even know many girls!" He argued before seeing Team RWBY at the door.
"You..." Raiga said as he remembered the girls he saved from the Horror.
What are they doing here? Raiga thought confused.
"Are we interrupting anything?" Blake asked.
"No, but I heard you're looking for someone." Fenris answered.
"We're looking for a boy call Raiga," Ruby replied. "Aren't you happens to be Raiga?"
Raiga regains his composition before facing Ruby.
"Yes, I am." Raiga said.
"We're wondering if you anything about this?" Ruby asked before getting out her book.
"Where did you get this?" Raiga asked, looking at it.
"Our uncle Crow bought this book from your mother a long time ago." Yang explains as Raiga's eyes wide at the information.
"We were wondered if you know anything about the Golden Knight Garo or Demons known as Horror." Weiss replied.
"I'm afraid I don't-."
Ruby looked down and looked at his ring. It was the same one Garo had.
Ruby suddenly took Raiga's hand with the ring.
"That is the same ring I saw early!" Ruby said before looking at Raiga. "Then y-you're Garo!"
"What?!" Yang asked in shock. This causes Fenris and Raiga to look alarmed.
"I don't know what you're-!"
Ruby then looked at his sword which had Garo's symbol.
"Then why does that sword has the same symbol?" Ruby asked as this causes Raiga to become quiet.
"Umm..." Raiga tries to come up with an explanation, but Ruby beats him to it.
"You can't lie out of this one!" Ruby stated serious.
Just then the ring started talking.
"Is someone there? I'm trying to sleep." It said.
"Did that ring just talk...?" Weiss asked.
"Oh? Raiga, what is going on?" The Ring asked.
"Oh my god... a talking ring," Ruby said.
"It looks like you seen too much, girls." Fenris said before got out her brush.
"What are you going to do with that?" Blake asked.
Yang and Ruby recalled the book detailing wizards who aided Garo. She must be one. They then realize what she was doing. 'Oh crap!'
Yang quickly punched Fenris in the gut and grabbed her brush.
"If you think about erased our memories, then guess again." Yang stated.
Weiss seems to be bothered by Yang's behavior over a brush.
"What is going on?" Weiss asked. "Why are you serious about that brush?"
"In the book... there are wizards who aided Garo with brush as their way to cast magic." Ruby explains.
"Cast magic with a brush?"
"Like this," Yang said as she tries to wave the brush in the air, but nothing come out.
"Is there something supposed to happen?" Weiss asked.
"That doesn't work for someone like you." Fenris stated.
"What do you mean?" Blake asked.
"It's look like we have no choice, but to explains." Raiga said as he seen this isn't going anywhere. He doesn't blame his mother for selling her books and seeing someone read it.
They were all seated in the living room.
"To start things off, I am Garo. Or rather the current one. The one in your book is my father." Raiga explained.
"No way! So your mom wrote about your dad in this book?" Ruby asked, showing her book.
Raiga nodded.
"So where are your parents?" Yang asked. Raiga suddenly looks sad.
"I... I don't want to talk about." Raiga answered. This causes the girls especially Yang and Ruby to look surprise.
Before they ask another question, Fenris decides to spoke up first.
"You girls better be aware of what you're going to hear since nothing will leave this house." Fenris said serious. She still upset about letting go of her Makai Brush from her hand.
"I promise but I'll give back the brush when we leave." Yang said.
"You better. A brush is a Priestess's weapon."
"Deal." Yang said. Fenris sighed.
"Tell me... how much do you know Garo from that book?" Fenris asked.
"Only the basic concept." Ruby said. "A knight who hunts demons known as Horrors at night."
"That's about what every Makai Knight does." Raiga explained.
"You mean there are more of you?" Weiss asked.
Raiga nodded.
"Before we go any further," Raiga said. "I would like to know your names."
"Ruby Rose."
"Yang Xiao Long."
"Weiss Schnee."
"Blake Belladonna."
"My name is Raiga Saezima." Raiga said.
"Fenris Malkal." Fenris said.
"We know about your butler Mister Gonza." Yang said.
"This is my partner Zaruba," Raiga held up his hand so Zaruba and the girls can talk to each other.
"A pleasure to meet you." Zaruba said.
"Yup, still not used to a talking ring." Yang said.
"So you're the son of the previous Garo?" Blake assumed.
Raiga showed his sword.
"This sword is the symbol of Garo. It has been passed down in my family for a long time."
"Can I see the sword?" Ruby requested.
Raiga held the blade in a reverse-grip and offered it to Ruby. She held the hilt but when Raiga released his hand, Ruby felt the blade being a 100 times heavier than before. It was so heavy that, to her and her teammates' surprised; it fell and impaled the floor, making a hole.
"What the?! How is it this heavy?!" Ruby remarked, trying to pull the sword out but with no success.
Raiga chuckled.
"Let me." Raiga said, before pulling the sword out with ease but also showing a huge hole.
"I'll get the extra wood and tools." Gonza said before leaving.
"How are you able to-?" Weiss started.
"One of the things about being a Makai Knight is mastery Soul Metal weaponry. It can feel light to a trained person, which takes years, or ton to a new user." Raiga explained. "However, females can't use Soul Metal and if they can, it's rare case."
"Isn't that a bit unfair?" Ruby asked as her teammates can't help give similar stare.
"It's a mystery." Fenris said.
"Makai Knights... what are they?" Blake asked.
"In short, we are hunters of Horrors. We are guardians of humans and slayers of demons for centuries, even if the world does not know it." Raiga explain.
"But why do you keep your existence a secret?" Weiss asked.
"It's simple." Fenris explains.
"How would the world respond to the existence of demons?" Raiga asked. "The world is a very delicate state of peace and to learn that such things roam the night..."
"No one will be able to sleep and being afraid of the night when they think about Horrors coming after them." Fenris added.
"We keep the world safe of that fear especially it would attract more Horrors. My armor is the most well-known among the Knights." Raiga explained.
"What exactly are the Horrors?" Ruby asked.
"A Horror, creatures of the demon world. A demon of personified Inga, or sin you can say. They possess humans of equal Inga or anyone who has lost faith in humanity enough to accept them through items that act as conduits, known as Gates." Fenris explained.
"Wait, does that mean Horror you killed is once a person!" Yang realized.
"No, when a Horror possesses a human, they kill the soul from the inside."
"Couldn't you exorcise him or something?" Weiss asked.
"We've been at this for centuries. Trust us, if we'd find an alternative way, we would've used it by now." Fenris explained.
They try to argue, but they realized it might be useless.
"But how does Makai Priest fits in?" Ruby asked curious.
"Makai Priests fought against Horrors in the beginning, but dozen of us died in dealing with Horrors before we entrust the frontline to Makai Knights and Makai Priests become back support for Makai Knights." Fenris answered.
"They're spell casters. And they develop magical tools to aid us Knights as well. Fenri uses energy weapon spells. She can create weapons out of thin air." Raiga explained.
Fenris creates a dual energy like swords and shows them.
"What do you think?" Fenris asked.
"That is so... cool!" Ruby said with excitement.
Fenris dismissed them.
"I could also erase memories."
"Which I don't plan on letting you do." Yang said.
"What exactly are you going to plan with this information?" Fenris asked.
"Truth be told, we just wanted to see if Garo was real."
"We promise to keep quiet." Ruby assured.
"What do you think, Rai?" Fenris asked.
Raiga looks at the girls before nodded to his childhood friend.
"I guess we can trust them," Raiga said. "Since we don't know a lot about what is like in Beacon."
"What do you mean?" Blake asked, feeling a little interesting.
"Me and Rai here are going to be your new classmates!" Fenris announced happily.
The RWBY looks at them for few minutes before they reached.
"What?!"
"Aren't you supposed to keep your Order a secret?" Weiss asked, confused.
"Why are you coming to Beacon?" Ruby asked.
"That is true, but something else." Raiga explains.
"We're undercover." Raiga explained
"It's orders."
"There seems to be strange activities relates to Horror at your school." Zaruba explains.
"What?" Ruby and her teammates look quite alarmed.
"Don't worry, you guys will barely notice us...except maybe at night." Fenris said before being elbowed by Raiga.
"Fenri!"
"Sorry, Rai..."
"You two seem know each other well..." Yang noticed.
"We're childhood friends." Fenris answered.
"Aw you sure?" Yang teased.
"Sis!" Ruby said.
"Here, we are leaving now." Yang said before throws her brush to Fenris.
Fenris caught her brush back.
"Finally get this back..." Fenris said.
The four left the house.
"Do you trust their word?" Raiga asked.
"They seem trustworthy." Fenris said, looking at her brush. "But your secret admirers want to know who is their knight under the helmet," she added with a grin.
"They aren't my admirers, Fenri!" Raiga said with a blushed.
"I don't know they seemed quite interested in you." Fenris teased.
"Look who's talking, Fenris! One of them thought you had a crush on Raiga!" Zaruba argued.
The white hair girl blushed this time when hearing from Zaruba and looks away.
"I-It's not like that!" Fenris said with the blush glows on her face. "I'm going to get her back later!"
"You can't lie with a blush!" Zaruba pointed out.
"Fenri, do you really-?" Before Raiga can finish, an energy bow was aimed at him.
"Finish that question and I'm shoving an energy arrow up your snot!" Fenris threatened.
Raiga gulped at his childhood friend's threatened.
I won't ask again... Raiga thought.
"Okay, Fenri. Please, put down the arrow." Raiga assured.
"Only if you don't mention this again." Fenri said.
"Yes."
"I mean you and the Zaruba!" Fenris said.
"We promised!" Raiga and Zaruba said at the same time.
"Good." Fenris smiled as she dismissed her weapons.
"You think the Watchdog has our other teammates yet?" Raiga asked.
"I don't-?" Fenris answered, suddenly Gonza enters the room.
"What is it, Gonza?" Raiga asked.
"Raiga-sama, we have visitors." Gonza stated.
"It looks like the Watchdog work quite fast." Zaruba remarked.
"Let's go and meet them," Raiga said.
(Living room)
Raiga and Fenris arrive at the room where they saw two young men who are the same age as them.
"I take it, you're Raiga?" The boy with glasses asked. He has short brown hair, pale skin, and brown eyes. He wore black jacket with a small pin with a cresent moon with arrow sticking out of it and blue navy shirt. He wore a pair of leather pants and boots.
Suddenly his companion walked up to Fenris.
"Hey, good looking." he said. He has dark hair and red eyes. He is clad in a dark red duster jacket, with red dress shirt underneath, wearing a pair of black jeans and boot.
Fenris just got a tick mark before kicking him in the shin.
"Ow!"
"Smooth, Ash." His partner said.
"Shut up, Mark." Ash argued back.
"Are you two the backup from the Watchdog?" Raiga asked.
"Yes, my name is Mark Kusugami and this is my partner, Ash Mason." Mark introduced.
"And you must be Raiga and this lovely-." Ash started before an energy bow was pointed at his face.
"For Rai, I said I would aim at the snot but for you..." Fenris then aimed the bow at Ash's 'manhood'.
"Let's just get along, okay?" Ash asked as he slowly back away from Fenris.
"You should be care for now, Ash." Mark said calm.
"Noted." Ash said.
"Fenri, you can put the bow down." Raiga said.
The white haired girl stared at Ash before dismissing her bow.
"Consider yourself lucky." She said.
Ash sighed in relief that his pride as man is safe.
"I owe you one, Raiga." Ash said.
"Now, we should get over the mission that Watchdog handles over to us," Mark said as they sat down around the table.
"Agreed, first of all, we're going to be a team at Beacon. Meaning we need a team names. Most Team names are a four-letter combination from each team member's name. Any suggestions?" Raiga asked.
"We can get rid of the obvious," Ash said with serious.
"Like what?" Raiga asked.
"Farm. Because it will make us looks like some laughing stock." Ash said.
"But it will mean I'm team leader." Fenris joked.
"You want to be leader of cattle?" Zaruba replied.
"Touche." The white haired girl replied.
Raiga is in deep thinking of another name.
Raiga grabbed a paper and started writing down possible combinations.
Everyone stares at Raiga as he wrote down possible names.
Let's start with Fenri... Since Ash doesn't want Farm to be our team name, Raiga thought.

Now... let see about Ash, Raiga thought as he wrote down the next combination.

"What do you guys think?" Raiga asked.
"MARF sounds close to barf." Mark commented.
"FRAM is about one of the only ones that make sense but that would mean Fenris would be in charge of the team." Zaruba said.
"I don't think it's a good idea for Ash to be leader due to him gets distracted by girls," Mark said.
"Hey!" Ash argued with a mean look.
"What do you think, Fenri?" Raiga asked.
"I don't think it's a good idea for me to be leader. I like getting things done, sure. I don't know how to tell people to do." Fenris answered.
"Mark, what about you?" Raiga asked curious.
"Well... being in charge might be nice, but I would decline, Raiga." Mark replied.
"So meaning..." Everyone looked at Raiga.
"You win by default...boss." Ash said.
"As expected of the one who bears the name Golden Knight," Mark said.
"Well done, Raiga." Zaruba remarked.
"So what is our team name, Rai?" Fenris asked.
"Let's see... we're going to be known..." Raiga announced.
(The next day at Beacon)
"Why are we wearing uniforms?" Ash asked.
He and others arrive on Beacon ground after taking a long ride.
"For our undercover roles, dummy." Fenris said. They were lucky enough to get these uniforms in order to help them blend in as new students.
"Now we need to find the office since this place is quite large," Raiga said.
He soon saw a student.
"Excuse me."
The student turned, revealing to be Ruby.
"Huh? Raiga, is that really you?" Ruby asked. "And Fenris?"
"It's nice to see you again, we're in a little situation and I've wonder if you can help us." Raiga requested.
"Oh, hello bea-" Ash started before Mark and Fenris steps on his foot at the same time.
"Oh! What the heck guys?!" Ash asked in pain.
"You did it again, Ash." Mark said.
"Eh? Are they your friends?" Ruby asked.
"You can say that." Raiga said before looking at Ash and Mark. "She knows."
"Why?" Mark asked before looking at Fenris. "And you didn't do anything?"
"Let's just say that they know about Makai brush's affects..." Fenris said, feeling a little embarrassed. "It's a long story."
"But do you think it's wise to trust an outsider like her with our Order?" Mark asked.
"O-Outsider?" Ruby looks surprised.
"Take it easy, Mark." Ash said. "I'm sure boss has a good reason."
"Yeah." Raiga admit.
"Actually there are three others that know." Fenris said.
"Fenri!" Raiga said before Mark glared at him.
"Start explaining." Mark said.
"Well... to make it short, my mom used to wrote about my father's adventure as the previous Garo and she has a copy of the book." Raiga said.
"So is true about the story of your father has married an outsider." Mark said.
"Yes."
"Is that a bad thing?" Ruby asked.
"More like uncommon." Fenris explained.
"Makai Knights often married a Makai Priestess from another family." Ash said.
"Do you know what will happen if humans learn about the Order?" Mark asked.
"Mark, I've already told the Watchdog about this and going to take responsibility for it." Raiga said.
"And me and my team promised to keep quiet about. You won't hear anything from us." Ruby assured.
Mark looked at Raiga.
"If anything happens, it's on your head, Golden Knight." Mark said.
Raiga nodded before Mark turns away.
"Ruby, we need your help to find the headmaster's office since we're new here." Fenris said.
"Oh, I know what is like when I first got here," Ruby said to Fenris.
"Follow me." Ruby said while Raiga looked where Mark went off.
"Don't worry, he'll cool off. He's always been a bit of a tight-as." Ash commented.
"It's sound like you two are familiar with another," Raiga said. Ash snorted.
"It's true," Ash said. "Since we often come across another when we're Makai Knights-in-training."
"We also had a few missions together." Ash explained. "Trust me when I say this but he'll be fine."
(With Mark)
Mark just got a drink at the vending machine and started drinking.
Mark let out a sighed after drinking.
"That's better..." Mark said to himself.
Mark soon looks up at the clear sky as he thought over his argument with Raiga.
The Golden Knight isn't what I expect... Mark thought to himself.
"He's a lot more...carefree than previous Golden Knights." Mark commented.
Mark took out his bow and looked at it.
"I shouldn't be too harsh. Garo did choose him after all."
Like The Sky Bow Knight chosen me... Mark thought as he puts away his bow and throws away the can to the trash.
He is about to catch up with others when he accidently bumped into a girl.
"Ouch..." a female voice said. "Watch where you're going."
"Sorry." Mark apologized to Blake.
Mark sees a book and gave it to her.
"You drop this."
"Thanks."
"Is it a good read?" Mark asked.
"Yeah... I've almost finished with it," Blake said before she studied Mark's appearance. "I never saw you around before."
"Oh... I'm a new student come here." Mark replied.
"I see." Blake held out her hand. "I'm Blake Belladonna."
"Mark." Mark shook her hand.
"So Mark, do you know your way around here?" Blake asked.
"No, I'm looking for the Dean's office to make my registration. But this place is quite big than I thought," Mark said.
"I can show you the way." Blake offered.
"Thanks." Mark said as he followed Blake.
(At the Headmaster's office)
"Just go into through those doors and you should see him behind his desk." Ruby said.
"Thank you, Ruby." Fenris said.
"Well, this is unexpected surprise." Blake said as she coming in with Mark now.
"Oh, hey Blake." Ruby said. "I take it that you already meet Mark."
"You two know each other?" Blake asked.
"This is my team." Mark introduced but Blake recognized Raiga and Fenris.
"You two?" She noticed.
"It's nice to see you, Blake." Raiga said.
Blake looks at them then Mark before nodding in understanding.
"If you want to make your appointment with the Headmaster, you should do it now." Blake replied.
"Thank you, Blake." Mark said.
"Well, I hope to see you around, Mark." Blake said as she and Ruby left them.
"I never thought genius would meet a cute girl like her." Ash remarked.
Both Mark and Fenris elbowed Ash at his sides.
"Ow!"
"Idiot." Both Knight and Priestess said before going in.
Raiga and his friends enter the room as they saw a messy gray hair man with glasses and wearing a dark green suit as he doing paperwork.
"Hmm...? I never thought of getting this many visitors." The Head master said.
"Are you Professor Ozpin?" Raiga asked, remembering his name from several newspapers regarding Beacon.
"Indeed, I am." Ozpin said. "But may I know who you are?"
"My name is Raiga Saezima and-."
"Saezima? I suppose you don't know a Kouga, did you?" Ozpin asked. This causes Raiga to look surprised.
"You know my Dad?"
"Yes, he and I met on a few occasions. How is he?"
"He... and my mom disappear when I was little," Raiga said. He never knows that his father is friend with the headmaster of Beacon.
Ozpin studies Raiga's face.
"I'm sorry about your loss." Ozpin said. "What is the visit?"
"We're here as a transfer team from faraway." Raiga said.
"Oh really? May I ask the circumstances-?" Ozpin looked at Zaruba. "Hello, Zaruba."
"Hey, Ozpin." Zaruba responded, as if they were old buddies.
This caught Raiga and others completely off guard when Ozpin knows about Zaruba.
"Zaruba, what is going on?" Raiga asked.
Fenris got her brush behind her back. Mark looks ready and reaching for his bow.
Ozpin pulled out his cane and tossed it to Raiga. Raiga caught and noticed something. He pulled a sword out of it and...
"Soul Metal..." He recognized.
"I worked with your father on a few missions. He was a good man." Ozpin said.
"You can trust Ozpin here," Zaruba assured the group.
"Are you a Makai Knight as well?" Mark asked.
"You can say that. The Watchdog already informed me of what's going on here." Ozpin said as he received his sword/cane back.
"Then you know of our situation then?" Raiga asked as Fenris placed her brush in a safe spot.
Ozpin nodded.
"I hear they're sending backup as undercover, but I never thought the son of Kouga would visit my doors sometime in future." Ozpin said.
"Wow... then this mission might be easier," Ash said.
Suddenly Mark hits him on the head.
"Ow..."
Mark then looks at Ozpin.
"I assumed you know that couple of your students saw Garo." Mark replied.
"I saw the book in their hands. I didn't think they would reach this far to the truth." Ozpin said.
"You don't disapprove of my father marrying an outsider?"
"Your father was a good man and I respect his decision. Besides he seemed happy with her." Ozpin said, earning a smile on Raiga's face. "Anyways, don't presume you four will receive special treatment while in my school."
"Yes, Professor Ozpin." The four said at the same time.
"On to the next topic, I'm assumed you know about the team formation?" Ozpin asked.
Raiga nodded.
"Yes, I'm chose to be the leader of RFMA." Raiga answered.
"I see..."
Ozpin passed them four keycards.
"Your dorm keys. The room number is on them." Ozpin explained before all of them left except Raiga who was at the doorway.
"Was my father-?"
"He lived up to the title of Garo. I only hope you can do the same."
Raiga nodded his thank before caught up with his friends.
"It looks things are going to get interesting..." Ozpin comment.

Also Raiga Saezima might be a little different from his canon-counterpart because he lives in the world of Remnant.
