Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers. Only my OCs.

A/N: Just a side not here. Because I changed Trent's powers to phasing instead of chameleon or camouflage, (Honestly, they were too close to Tommy's in my opinion) I needed to alter the reason Trent, Zoey and Jenna went to find the shield.

Chapter 19: Triassic Triumph

"Someone looks pretty happy today." Andy smiled as he entered Cyberspace with Conner, Ethan and Kira. Hayley looked up from the glass she had been cleaning and nodded with a smile.

"Oh, hey. Its just good to have Trent back." She smiled as she glanced back to the place where Trent was waiting tables.

Conner snickered, "Yeah, with the new attitude adjustment he seems almost likeable again."

"I heard that." Trent announced, as he walked up and handed the empty glasses to Hayley, "Two more Cyber-berry Blasts, please."

"Coming right up." Hayley smiled, heading off to make them.

"You did help her while Trent was out being an Evil Tommy Knock-Off, right?" Raina asked, wiping down the bar.

"Me, Zoey and Jenna… and Ethan when he wasn't breaking glasses." Andy smirked.

"Evil Tommy Knock-Off?" Trent glared, "Should I be offended?"

"Nah." Raina shook her head, "You just haven't gotten your full Ranger history yet. Don't worry. You'll get there."

The group laughed for a moment before Conner turned back to Trent, "Speaking of getting there; how's it going getting back to normal?"

"Fantastic!" He grinned "I feel like a new man."

"We're just glad to have the old man back." Kira told him "You're one of us now. No more secrets."

He nodded, "You're right. No more secrets."

1-2-3-4-5

"How is she doing that?" Tommy asked, sitting in the lab next to Drina and Jenna as they watched Zoey meditating, "Did you teach her that?"

"That's actually part of the Swoop Technique in Pai Zhuq." Jenna nodded, "I can do it, but I'm not really a fan of it." She chuckled, "No pun intended."

"Are we supposed to understand that?"

"Not really."

"Okay then." He tilted his head as he studied his sister meditating, floating up by the ceiling, "That's unreal."

"That's Pai Zhuq." Jenna smirked, "The Swoop Technique is why I wanted to train in Battle Fans in my Ninja Training. I held off for awhile, but I picked it up once I joined the Temple. But, that's where I started excelling in discus throwing. Gotta love a good Chakram."

When the computer beeped, they turned to see Conner, Ethan and Kira getting attacked by Zeltrax, a new monsters and… "Trent?!"

Jenna's words brought Zoey down from the ceiling, "What?" She watched for a moment and shook her head, "Bro, call Trent and Andy. Something's wrong. I can feel it."

"That's not Trent."

"No, it's not."

1-2-3-4-5

"So you stopped Zeltrax." The Evil Ranger growled, "Try to stop my Terrorsaurus."

"Let me show you the extent of my powers." The monsters started walking forwards, "You will be defeated."

"Not on our watch!" Blast shot out, knocking the bad guys off their feet. Trent, on his ATV, and Andy, on his Bike, rode in for the save. They stopped in front of their friends and got off their rides, "Hey, guys," Trent cracked his knuckles, "thought we'd join the fun." The two guys braced themselves, right to fight.

"Wait."

"Huh?"

"Who is who?"

"Guys, it's me." Trent explained as they watched the villains regroup with Zeltrax.

"Enjoy your reunion while you can." The Evil Ranger growled, "Nothing you do can stop us now." An Invisiportal appeared and took them villains away.

"Okay." Andy looked at Trent and nodded, "Power down."

"Are you guys okay?" Trent asked as the other three came over.

"Great." Conner frowned, "You got a twin brother you never told us about?"

"Conner, chill." Andy stepped between them, "You need back off. Now." He lifted his morpher when it beeped, "I hear you."

"Everyone needs to report to the Lab. Immediately."

"You've got it, Tommy."

1-2-3-4-5

"Okay, so we barely get one White Ranger under control," Kira paced, frustrated, "then another one shows up." She turned to Trent, "Any idea who it could be?"

"I have no clue." He shrugged.

"My sensors are showing some kind of cloned energy force." Tommy said, spinning around in his chair, "It's probably not even a living being at all."

Andy frowned, "How is that even possible?"

"I'm not sure."

"Yeah, he may not be real," Conner countered, "but his kick sure felt real."

"I never said he wasn't real." Tommy pointed out, "He's a threat, all right."

"Didn't Shane and Dustin have to deal with a cloned Tori before you showed up?" Jenna asked, sitting next to Zoey.

"Yeah. It was… the same day. I think. Maybe the day after. Lothor had sent another monster down almost immediately, so it's a little confusing."

"What is it with you Rangers and getting cloned?"

The teens turned to a woman who just walked down the stairs. She had long wavy brown hair and wore a bohemian style dress and boots.

"Hey, Drina." Tommy stood up and hugged her, "Get settled in okay?"

"Yeah," She smiled as she looked around the room, "I'm good. So, who's been cloned this time? Don't tell me that it was you again?"

"Very funny."

"She has a point though." Zoey mused, "I mean, how many cloned stories have we had from past teams? And not just the clones. Think about it. Rita and Zedd tried that many different times. There was the Shadow Turbo Rangers."

"The Psycho Rangers." Jenna chuckled, "Whatever you do, do not get the Space team started on stories about them. They don't shut up."

"True that."

"Would you include the robots that the government tried to replace the Lightspeed team with?" Andy shrugged, "I mean, I would."

"Probably."

"Can we move on, please?" Kira asked, raising her hand.

"Okay, well, now that that's," Ethan gestured to the Angel Grove kids, "settled, can we talk about the Terrorsaurus?"

"He's giving off the same readings as the clone." Tommy replied "Its almost like they are one and the same"

Silence met his statement, "I knew it!" Spat Conner, "You should never have been here in the first place!"

As he started towards Trent, who got to his feet, Kira and Andy placed themselves between the Drago Ranger and the Tyranno Ranger as Ethan jumped up and pulled Conner back. Jenna and Zoey stayed seated, watching.

"Not now, Conner." Tommy said, placing a hand on his shoulder, "We're gonna need back-up. Big time. So Trent, Zoey and Jenna… I need you to come with me."

"Why not me?" Conner asked, quickly, "Or one of the others?"

"You'll have your role to play in this, Conner." The teacher promised, "Trust me. Right now, I need these three. Keep an eye on the city, and call us if that thing returns." He turned back to the White Ranger, "Come on." He waved to the two girls on his way out.

As they went into the tunnel, Zoey stopped by Conner's side and nudged him in the ribs, "How about you stop being such an ass, Tyranno Boy? Lose the attitude." She rolled her eyes as she started to follow her brother out, "Or I'll make you lose it."

Andy cleared his throat as he stood next to Raina and Drina, who were trying not to laugh, "I'd listen to her, Conner. You don't want to be on the receiving end of her kind of payback. It really sucks."

"Ranger Week flashbacks?" Raina smirked at her friend's wince, "I don't know what you guys were thinking. You know her better than anyone else on that team and you stupidly took the dare to do that."

"I heard of this." Drina looked at the two, "The pranks in the cabins?"

"Yeah."

She chuckled, "Did you ever find them all?"

"Not sure." Andy shrugged, "I think we did." He winced again, "I hope we did."

"Any idea what they're talking about?" Ethan whispered to the other two.

"Knowing our team," Kira shrugged, "I'm afraid to ask."

1-2-3-4-5

"Do you know what it is that Tommy is doing?" Raina asked, ducking a swing from Andy.

"No." He threw a sidekick, then snapped back into a ready position, "Do you know what Zoey was talking about? This new Ranger/Non-Ranger development?"

"Nope. Wasn't told anything about it." She looked over at Drina, who had come out to the training area with them, "Do you know anything about it?"

"I've been in Zandar." She shrugged, meditating on a platform, "I know nothing until I'm told. Ranger business is Ranger business."

"Well, you may not be a Ranger, but you've been part of the Ranger family for years. So, that's no excuse."

"Thank you." The older woman smiled, "I appreciate that. They accepted me right away. Of course, they probably just felt bad after I told them my sob story."

"Don't call it that." Raina frowned, "It's your Story. Was it bad? Undoubtedly. And nobody should have to go through what you did. But it made you who you are."

Andy smirked, "And it brought you to us." Their communicators beeped, making him cringe, "Fun time's over." He lift his wrist as the girls laughed, "Go for Andy."

"Andy. The Terrorsaurus is back. We're calling the Zords. Meets us out there."

"Did you call Tommy yet?"

"He's busy with Trent. We'll call them if we have any problems. We can handle this for now, so we'll meet you out there."

"You're the leader." Andy shook his head as the line closed, "Call Zoey. Let her know what's going on. I've got a bad feeling about this."

"You've got it."

1-2-3-4-5

"Thanks, Dr. O," Trent said, following his teacher and fellow Rangers, "for trusting me. It means a lot."

"I do trust you, Trent." Tommy said, looking back as they crossed a stream, "But I meant what I said in the lab. This mission had to be for the three of you."

"Why?"

"There's an ancient artifact out here," he explained, "it was hidden centuries ago."

"Do you know how it got here?" Zoey questioned, curious.

"Drina told us about it originally. She's the one who had hidden it."

"And she told you how to retrieve it. Why didn't she?"

"She hid it using a form of blood magic."

Her eyes widened, "But, that's dark and dangerous magic."

"She said she didn't actually use blood. She modified it to a DNA impression only."

"Okay. Makes a little more sense." She paused, "Wait. That's why you need Trent. She used the Tupuxuara."

"A what?" Trent asked, "Wait, I thought my Zord was some kind of dragon."

"The Tupuxuara is a larger pterodactyl type bird. Not a dragon; just dragon-like in looks. Drago is just easier to say than Tupuxuara or Tupux."

Zoey smirked at the confusion on the White Ranger's face, "You know, because all the other Zords are shortened. Tyranno, Tricera, Ptera, Spino and Brachio."

"But not yours."

"No, because ours were never connected to any dinosaurs. Long story."

"Can't wait to hear this."

1-2-3-4-5

They finally came upon a tall waterfall that cascaded down the side of a mountain and crashed into a large lake.

"Is this the place?" Trent asked.

"Yeah, it's there." Tommy nodded, "In the water." He turned to his student. "Okay. We need to combine all of our powers to pull it out of the water. Trent's to activate it with the DNA, mine to make it visible. Girls." He looked over, "Your gems were never bonded to a dinosaur's DNA, so we need to use your magic. According to Drina, you need to channel your magic through yours gems, allowing it to flow out and combine with your dino powers. That, plus your powers should not only reveal the shield, but free it as well."

When Tommy nodded, Trent moved up beside them, "What do I do?"

"Raise your arms like this." Trent and the girls lined up and copied Tommy, pulling their arms up with the elbow bent at a right angle, "Now, concentrate. Use the Dino Gem power." They raised their arms and focused their minds.

Large beams of light, the color of their gems, shot out and into the lake, making it start to bubble up. Suddenly, out of the water came a large white shield.

"It's working!" Trent exclaimed.

"Don't break the concentration." Tommy warned, "Stay focused."

1-2-3-4-5

Back in the battle, things had gone from bad to worse for the Rangers. Their Zords were gone and they were left defenseless against a 30-story Terrorsaurus. Suddenly Conner stopped and held his head as pain washed over him, "Whoa… I'm getting a weird feeling." They looked at him in concern, "Something's calling me?"

"Conner, man, breathe." Andy grabbed his friend's shoulder, worried.

An image of a Ranger entered his mind, holding a large golden shield and surrounded by mysterious red smoke, "Whoa, gnarly."

"Are you okay?" Kira asked, placing her hand on his other arm.

"I think so."

A growl from the Terrorsaurus caused the team to look up and see the towering monster glowing before it disappeared.

"Where did he go?" Ethan asked, frowning.

The creature then reappeared in front of them, at normal height, "Your head too big for your helmet?" He chuckled at Conner.

"What have you done with our Zords?" Andy growled.

"You should be more worried about what I will do to you! You're Zords belong to me now!" The horn protruding from his chest glowed from within, showing their Zords crying out in pain and sadness, "Prepare for your demise!" Terrorsaurus spread its wings out and leaped from the ground, speeding through the air towards the Rangers.

"In your dreams!" Conner snapped, as they pulled out their blasters and shot them at the monster. Unaffected, Terrorsaurus kept narrowing in on them.

"Look out!" Andy warned, but it came too late as the monster flew past, knocking them back with its wings. As Ethan got to his feet, he fired off a round of lasers, but the creature double backed on him and grabbed him by the shoulders, lifting him into the air.

"Let me go!" Ethan demanded

The monster chuckled the higher he went, "Have it your way!" He said, before dropping him and watching him crash into a muddy patch of water.

"Ethan!" His team called as they ran to help him out.

"What is up with this guy?" Connor growled, watching the Terrorsaurus land nearby

"You are powerless against me!" The Monster declared, chuckling.

Connor looked over at the others, "Lets try our Sabres!"

"Right."

"Thundermax Sabre! Power up!" The ran at the monster from four different directions, but he disappear just as they got there, causing the team to strike each other instead.

1-2-3-4-5

"Oh, man."

"Keep going guys!" Tommy called, "We've almost got it!"

"I'm trying!" Trent exclaimed, "I'm just losing control!"

"Breath through the pain, Trent. You can do this." Zoey said, also hurting.

1-2-3-4-5

After a few more attempts, the Rangers fell to the ground, sparks flying off their suits, "Maybe we should have waited for Dr. O." Connor commented.

"You think?" Andy asked sarcastically

"Slightly." Kira said, getting up.

The Terrorsaurus chuckled, "Prepare to be destroyed!" he growled, before his eyes glowed a fierce orange. He sent a lasers out that sent the Rangers hurtling through the air and into the river down at the bottom of the cliff. "You're all washed up. Time to destroy your city." he flew off into the distance, leaving the four teens behind.

The Rangers waded out of the river, wet and annoyed.

"That was a great idea, Conner." Kira grumbled.

"I don't know why I listened to you." Andy grimaced.

"Yeah, Con," Ethan complained, "got anymore brilliant…"

"Wait." Conner halted them before putting a hand to his head again, "It's happening again." In his mind, he saw the shield from before, glowing brighter and brighter, "Something… something isn't right."

"What do you mean?" Kira asked, standing up next to him.

"I can't explain it. I just know the others need me."

"Then go." Andy said, shoving him forward, "We'll go after Terrorsaurus."

1-2-3-4-5

"I can't… hold it… much longer." Trent grunted as he tried to stay on his feet.

"Don't let go." Zoey warned, "The spell on it is a one-shot deal. We won't be able to do this again."

"She's right." Tommy agreed, "If we lose it now, it's gone forever."

"It's slipping."

Jenna reached up with her other hand and gripped his shoulder, "Almost there, Trent. Just a little bit longer."

"I can't…"

Just then, Conner jumps across the lake and catches the shield; landing in front of the other four.

"Thanks," Trent sighed as Tommy helped him to his feet.

"How's that for timing." Conner crowed, straightening up.

"Never better. Thanks."

"You got the shield's telepathic message." Tommy nodded, proud. "It proves I was right. It proves you're ready."

"Ready for what?" Conner asked

Zoey pushed herself up, "The Shield of Triumph." She shook her head, "Wow. That hurt. I could see it. It's history and everything. It was weird."

"You're weird." Jenna murmured, leaning on Trent, "I think we're feeling what the others felt after Madtropolis took their energy."

"Ah, man. Never gonna hear the end of this."

Tommy just shook his head, leaning on his knees and looked over at the Red Ranger, "Only a Ranger in complete sync with the Universal Dino Energy can handle the power."

"Universal Dino Energy." Zoey fell to the ground, too tired, "That's a thing?"

Conner frowned, "But when you took Trent, I thought..."

"For the Shield to assume full power, all Rangers must contribute a part of themselves." Tommy explained, "Trent, Jenna, Zoey and I have done our part. Now, it's up to the rest of you." He started breathing in through his nose for control.

"No pressure." Zoey muttered, laying down, "I think I could use a Drina session."

"Tell me what I have to do." Conner said, looking down at Zoey, "The Terrorsaurus is back, and we can use all the help we can get. Is she going to be okay?"

Trent slumped to the ground, completely out of energy, "Trent." Conner caught him before he could fall flat.

Tommy turned back to the Red Ranger, "We have something to do at the Lab before the Shield is ready. We'll get it back to you as soon as we can. Do you think you can hold off the monster a little longer?"

"I won't let you down." Conner nodded before speeding away.

Tommy looked down at his sister and Jenna, "Can't move at all, can you?"

"Nope." Jenna muttered, "Magically drained. What a bitch."

"Yeah, don't even ask us to. It hurts too much." Zoey lifted her morpher, "I have another idea." She flicked her wrist and it changed to a metal wrist watch, without a face, "I knew this would come in handy." She pressed a button on the side, "Pink Fox to the Command Center. Come in."

"Command Center here. What's your emergency?"

"There are four at these coordinates that need immediate teleportation to the Dino Lab. Authorization Code: ZPO - PF03."

"Accepted. Stand by."

Before Trent could question what just happened, a funny feeling came over him. He was then surrounded by a bright white light, blinding him for a moment. When it cleared, they were back in the Lab. He steadied himself against the column, dizzy, "What just happened?"

Raina stepped in front of him and smiled, "Your first teleport. How was it?"

"On top of having all of my energy drained?" He slid down to the floor, smirking, "Cathartic. I think."

"You're funny." She turned to see Drina running glowing hands over the shield, "So, what exactly is she doing to it now that it's been released?"

"She's testing it to make sure that it's fully free." Zoey was laying on the floor next to Jenna, eyes closed, "Also, she's trying to detect any residual dark energy from the last time it was out so that it's ready to be used. Once it's clean, we'll send it to Conner."

Sitting next to her friends, Raina leaned on the wall and watched Drina working, curious, "It's fascinating the things you can accomplish with magic."

Zoey smiled, "As long as it's for the right reasons." She sat up, "You know, I've always wondered if Rita was born the way she was or if she just became that way. I mean, we know who her father is, but we know nothing about her mother. How she looks nothing like her father or brother. How she learned magic. How she joined Zedd. I mean, everything about her was evil and darkness. Now, I know her as the Mother of Good Magic. A title bestowed upon her after she was turned human and retained her magic. How the hell did that happen? It wasn't by making good magic choices. Makes you think." She paused for a moment as she saw Raina staring wistfully at Drina, "Got you."

"Huh?" The Lightning Ninja glance over, distracted, "Sorry. Missed it."

"Of course you did. You're fascinated."

"By what?"

"Magic." Zoey looked over to see Tommy's attention turn to them as Jenna sat up to listen, "You were drawn to the whole Ninja thing without realizing anything about your brother. Found your shared element in Lightning and have grudgingly decided to go to the Pai Zhuq temple. But your heart's not in it."

"I made a commitment. I'm going."

"I know. Just as I know that after that year, Andy will choose to stay and you will get wandering feet. Like a certain Rhino we know." She cut her eyes over to a chuckling Jenna and smiled, "You may decide to go back. You may not. But you'll keep training in it, because you won't be able to stop. The difference between you and Andy? Andy's always been about martial arts. It fascinates him and he wants to keep learning more. You've always been more fluid about different things that you liked. From dance to martial arts to cooking." She glanced at Drina, "But, it's been a long time since I've seen you this fascinated about something new."

"I don't know. I guess I'm just a little drawn to it."

"I'm teaching Jenna. If you'd like, I can start you on the basics. See how it goes."

Shock lit up Raina's eyes, "Really?"

"Sure. We can start with finding your element, though I'm pretty sure that's a given, then move on to the small stuff. We can find a pendant or bracelet for binding while you're at the Temple and we'll start again when you leave."

"That'd be awesome."

"Done." Drina walked over and handed the shield to Tommy, "It is ready for the other Rangers. They should know what to do with it."

"Thank you, Drina."

"You are welcome."

1-2-3-4-5

"Conner!"

"Are you all right?" They ran over to the Red Ranger who had fallen to the ground after being thrown against a building.

"Man," Andy groaned, "we are getting worked."

"You will learn respect, my little pets." Terrorsaurus growled as he stalked them.

"Kiyah!" A harsh wind blew in; throwing dust and leaves in the monster's face.

"Not so fast, Vile Reptile." Tommy said, getting in front of the teens.

"Please tell me we'll have that line recorded." Andy laughed, breathing hard.

"Lasers!" Terrorsaurus threw out his hands and shot blue lightning out at the team.

Acting on instinct, Andy pushed forward and threw out his own green lightning. The two powers clashed as they played a reverse game of tug of war. The blue grew so strong, it almost overpowered the Spino Ranger. His eyes flash and a surge of power and renewed strength overcame him. A hand fell on his shoulder, combined with a familiar sense of bonding. "Hey, Queen of Queens!" He called as Raina's white lightning fell from the sky and joined his, "What a nice surprise."

"Isn't it. How about we up the ante and get a little wild?"

"Oh, I like that idea." Black and White light surrounded the two friends as their animal spirits burst out of them.

"Call to the Beast Inside!" A black bear with green highlights and a black panther with white highlights formed, charging at the monster.

"Conner, you know what to do." Tommy handed the shield to his team leader, "Get Andy. I'll help Raina keep him distracted."

"You're exhausted, old man." Drina stepped in a grabbed him by the arm, "Completely drained of all energy. Go back to the lab. I'll help her."

"Old man?" He chuckled, "You really want to talk about age?"

"Yes, but I'm immortal. I can handle it." She waved her hand over him and sent him home, "Now for you three. Get your teammate. We'll hold him off."

Conner shrugged, "You heard the lady. Andy!"

The Green Ranger glanced over his shoulder, "Huh?"

"Andrew. Go help your friends. I've got Raina."

"You got it." He disconnected his powers from Raina's just as Drina grabbed the girl's shoulder and sent her own purple lightning out, "Way cool, man." He ran over and stood behind Conner, grabbed his leader's shoulders, "What's next?"

"Your trust and Dino Powers."

"You got it." He pushed Conner to his knees and concentrated with Kira and Ethan, sending their powers to the shield that was being held up.

"Triassic Power! Engage!" As their powers merged with the shield, Conner's suit changed.

The colors changed to red with gold, yellow, blue and green accents. He had gold shoulder pads and golden embroidery was added to his helmet.

"Wow." Ethan said as he, Andy and Kira fell to the ground, demorphing.

"I feel that we are no longer needed." Drina said, adding a last push of power to send the monster back, "Let's get you some rest." With that, she grabbed Raina by the shoulder and disappeared in a shower of purple lights back to the Lab.

Conner started walking toward the injured monster, "You're in deep trouble now."

"Bring it!" Terrorsaurus mocked.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." Conner stopped held out the shield, "Shield of Triumph! Activate!" Red lightning shot out, surrounding Conner and the Terrorsaurus, sending them to an alternate dimension.

"What's going on!" The monster yelled, "Where am I?"

"Welcome to my world!" Conner exclaimed, flying down to meet him. He caught a blast with the shield and shot him back with his blaster. "Feel the shield!" A blade appeared at the top of the shield, lit up in red, "Sword of Trial! Activate!" After multiple slashes that Terrorsaurus could not defend against, he was shot toward a light, "Oh, what a tangled web we weave." Conner taunted as the monster got stuck on a shinning white web, "Full Power!" Two more powerful slashes destroyed the Terrorsaurus for good, sending Conner back to the reality.

"Not bad Tyranno boy." Andy called, laying on the concrete, "Can I have my energy back now? I am totally wrecked."

1-2-3-4-5

"That shield rocks!" Conner exclaimed, as he and the others entered the Dino Lab after the battle.

"No doubt." Kira said, high-fiving Andy as they walked down the stairs.

"Thanks for trusting me with your powers guys." He added, grateful.

"It was only a loan." Ethan pointed out, "Don't forget that."

Andy chuckled, "Anything to get our Zords back, man."

"I just wish you could have felt what it was like." Conner told them, awed, "The power is amazing."

"The Triassic Power was always meant for you Conner." Tommy stated, walking over to them, "All you had to do was trust in yourself, and then it was easy for others to trust in you too."

Ethan grinned, "See? All that jealousy and look at how well everything turned out!"

"Almost everything," Conner sighed, folding his arms

1-2-3-4-5

"Alright, settle down." Zoey gathered everyone into the lab to have a long awaited talk, "I'm glad that everything has worked out and trust is being had all around."

"And Conner finally quit being an idiot to our new foreign exchange student." Andy smirked, sitting on the sofa with Raina and Jenna, "I mean, dude, seriously?"

"I was an idiot. I admit it." The jock joked as they sat on bean bags placed around the sofa, "Now I'm not and it's all fixed."

"Good." Hayley nodded, "Now you're back to being smiley Conner."

"Just not too Smiley." Jenna shuddered, "Don't creep me out."

Tommy sighed at their banter, "I for one am waiting for my sister to start talking. I don't like Ranger secrets. Even Ranger/Non-Ranger secrets. So, spill already."

"Okay." She sat down in a chair and tried to think how to start, "Before I went to Angel Grove, I stopped in Marina Bay for a check up. Now that you're Rangers, you're going to have to switch your regular doctor to Dana Grayson. Just an FYI."

"We'll set you guys up with that when you graduate." Tommy said, getting nods from the teens, "Nothing you can do about it right now."

"Correct. Anyways, Commander Mitchell came to see me before I left. Who here has heard of the GSA?"

"Isn't that the program that NASADA created for the Terra Venture?" Ethan asked.

"Yes. It stood for the Galactic Space Alliance. Now, it was only created for Terra Venture and it's been discontinued here on Earth. The GSA has continued to grow and thrive on Mirinoi, where they settled. The Commander brought an interesting topic up. Due to more and more interest in alien dignitaries, due to the Space Rangers, Lightspeed has been approached by NASADA to recreate the GSA in a more policing/ambassador capacity. Instead of Galactic Space Alliance, it will be called the Galactic Security Alliance."

"I like it." Tommy nodded, "Taking out Space, which was redundant anyways, and adding security to the title adds the policing aspect while keeping the alliance part re-enforces the 'we come in peace, ambassador' aspect."

"I agree." She chuckled, "Joel pipped in with his usual quips about how agency would've sounded too much like a bunch of stiff suits."

"He's not wrong." Tommy quirked his head, "So this is through NASADA and the Space Rangers?"

"Yeah. It's like a mix. Government funded through NASADA with Lightspeed that will work with the Space Rangers to provide a traveling Galactic…" She smirked, "Peace Conference with badges." Her brother laughed with Jenna at the memories. "Anyways. This is going to be hand selected candidates through Lightspeed. They're going to start with all Silver Guardians, first. Using the sensors in the Command Center, they're going to do a scan of each candidate. If the they pass, they will move on to do Lightspeed training. All of it."

"Aren't they opening rescue centers in different areas now?" Andy asked, interested.

"Yeah, they are. Once those candidates start training, they will scan all Lightspeed candidates. The ones from there that pass will go to Silver Hills for extensive policing training. They will be building the GSA headquarters in Mariner Bay, just outside the entrance to the Aqua Base." She paused, "Once things get fully underway, all future candidates outside of either organization must go through Lightspeed training first, then move on to Guardian Training. GSA training for all will take place after everything else."

"What is it?" Conner asked, fascinated.

She laughed, "Um, Astronaut training. This is NASADA, so…"

"Cool."

"Yeah. Here's the thing. All GSA candidates who pass, and go through all training, will be introduced to the Command Center." She looked at Tommy, who nodded, "We've already got some hand selected Silver Guardians working there to help monitor things. This is going to be the main outpost, since all visiting aliens already come there anyways."

"Makes sense." Her brother agreed, leaning back in his chair, "With the purpose of this new program, it's going to be needed. Who else knows about this?"

She sighed, "Well, Lightspeed, of course. NASADA and the Space Rangers. I think Billy and Justin know, because they're the main port for alien visitors, and they're supposed to bring it up to the rest of the 12, but…"

"I'm kind of stuck."

"Yeah. They've already told everyone else, so I was tasked with telling you. With everything going on, they didn't want to add more problems for us."

"Eh, what's one more."

"That's what I said. Now, for our part."

"Our part?" Kira looked confused.

"They are requesting that all past Rangers get GSA certified. For emergencies."

Tommy scratched his helmet, "Emergencies? We're not all public Rangers."

"I think they're referring to future possible invasions. Hoping to avoid another incident like in '98."

"Precautions. Just in case." Tommy sighed, "We would have all gladly revealed our identities that day if we could have just gotten through the barricades."

"There was no way." Jenna murmured, "The energy shields from Dark Specter's ship was too much. It didn't just surround Angel Grove. It covered nearly 30 surrounding cities and counties in the area. No electricity, no phones, no satellites. Everything was down. We had no idea what was even going on."

"They're hoping that never happens again." Zoey whispered, "They just want to take the precautions. To have the certification, just in case. We wouldn't have to go through everything. Commander was adamant about that. We've been through enough. Just the basics to get us covered. And non-public Rangers need not worry about the military learning about our identities," she shrugged, "as I'm sure certain higher ups already know."

"We figured that out a long time ago. They know that regular military can't do anything to the aliens, so they're happy with keeping our secrets and just making sure we don't violate any major laws that's going to compromise our team."

"Agreed."

"There's more, isn't there?"

"Us younger Rangers? This team and Ninja Storm are going to be offered a reservist position. Keep our identities a secret to everyone outside of the programs. I don't have any details on that part yet, but if we do it, we'll get the chance to go to KO-35 twice a year for the new Ranger conference that's being set up."

"Andros was telling me about that. They're creating their own Ranger Games. Intergalactic." Tommy laughed at the excitement that ran over his team's faces, "It's supposed to include the Space team, Mirinoi, Aquitar and any other planet with Rangers on them."

"Including Earth Rangers?" Trent asked, awed, "That would be so cool. I would love to compete in that. Even if we don't win, to say we did that would be amazing."

"We've just as much a chance as anyone." Conner countered, "We may be teenagers, but we're tenacious." He blinked as the room stared at him in shock, "What?"

"You actually know what tenacious means?" Andy poked his cheek, "Are you sure you're the real Conner McKnight?"

"Stop that."

"Look. This is just the start. They're just now getting the program off it's feet. No immediate answers yet. The cool thing about it though, is that if all goes well, all GSA members will be Interpol certified and be sanctioned by the UN."

"Meaning?"

"Any GSA officer will have blanket jurisdiction over the planet. As long as it's a Power Ranger or Galactic situation. Like the Silver Guardians, they'll be able to do regular police work, but only in the city they'll be stationed in." She looked around, "A lot of thought and work has gone into this program. We may hesitate about it, a lot, but in the end, it's going to be worth it. They'll be able to do a lot of good."

"And it's possible career choices for some of us." Jenna smiled, "Nice."

"Bonus." Zoey grinned, "As a reservist, they'll help pay for college."

Ethan grinned, "Nice! There's only so much a scholarship could do."

"Now I really like the idea of being a reservist." Kira nodded, "I mean, I know what I want with my life, but I feel like that could really help with our future. Like regular military work, just for Power Rangers. And it'd be nice to keep our hand in it. Not to mention college."

Conner smiled, "I agree. Soccer is my future, but I could deal with being a reservist. It might be good for all of us."

"How do we explain it to our parents?" Ethan asked.

"No one has to know you're a Ranger." Tommy explained, "Between the Silver Guardians and Lightspeed, there's only eight known Rangers. Taylor from Wild Force will be joining the Guardians this Summer, as that's when her Air Force Tour is over. She won't be coming out as a Ranger. You won't have to worry about explaining anything to anyone. You'll just be part of a reservist program that works with all of that and it helps pay for college. Explain it like the military. Only better."

Zoey laughed, "I'm going to be altering some of my majors to accommodate. Take some away and add some new ones. I've been on the fence about what I want to do with the rest of my life. Not saying it's going to be a permanent career, as I still want to learn about other things, but it wouldn't hurt to take some classes that'll help me later on in the GSA."

"I might do the same. I've been focusing on nothing but ice and weather majors." Jenna shrugged, "Maybe add in some forensics and criminology while I'm at it."

Raina just sighed, "Yeah, why not add more stuff."

"Just what we need." Andy shook his head, "More Stuff."

I'd love to hear opinions on the new GSA!
