Chapter 21: Tutenhawken's Curse

"Life for the kings and queens of Egypt was awash with riches and treasure beyond the imagination." A tour guide told the Rangers and their class. "Some of these artifacts are over 4,000 years old."

"Wow, look at this stuff!" Kira was amazed by the collection. "Can you imagine what it must have been like to live back then?" She glanced to Raina as she looked around, looking just as fascinated.

"Well, I can." Cassidy spoke up from beside them, "The Egyptians totally knew the importance of style and class, so I would have fit right in!"

"Which would explain why she thinks she was Cleopatra in a past life." Andy said, rushing up behind them, "Ethan better be careful she doesn't sick a snake on him."

The blonde shot them a murderous look as they started laughing.

"And this is the sarcophagus of the ancient Pharaoh, Tutenhawken." The tour guide glared at the group as they tried to conceal their laughter. "He was a feared leader, who was believed to have mystical powers."

"Mystical?" Jenna scoffed, "That thing's part of the Mystics and I'll eat my communicator." She smirked at Andy and Raina, "The OG."

"Whoa, check out these hieroglyphics!" Ethan spotted the Egyptian writing on the side of the coffin.

"Weird. What does it say?" Conner asked.

"It just looks like a bunch of pictures to me." Raina frowned.

"It's looks like boggle and pictionary had a baby." Andy cocked his head.

She smiled, "And named him Wingding!"

"I need Zoey for comments like this." Jenna chuckled, "Honestly, I think this is a different dialect than I'm used to. It looks like some of these are backwards and upside down. It's a little confusing." She laughed, "This could be where Wingdings came from."

"Are you done?" The guide asked, looking at the Teacher's Aid. "There is a legend regarding those hieroglyphics. Many believed that Tutenhawken was able to put hexes upon his enemies. The exact translation is unclear, but these writings are believed to be some sort of curse."

"That is beyond cool man." Ethan laughed, grabbing a notebook from his bag. "I gotta write this stuff down." He said as he began to trace the hieroglyphics.

"Why?" Trent frowned at him.

"So I can decipher it!" Ethan exclaimed, as this were obvious. "It'll be like cracking an ancient computer code!" He went back to writing as the others rolled their eyes.

"In other words, it speaks to his inner cyber geek." Conner smirked.

"Well, I for one don't want to be on the receiving end of one of his curses." Kira said, the others nodded in agreement.

"Oh come on! You guys don't actually believe in that stuff, do you?" He asked, looking skeptically at his teammates.

"A word of advice, Blue Boy." Jenna smacked him on the shoulder, "I've seen too much in my life to not believe in curses. So, um, careful what you say out loud."

"Whatever."

1-2-3-4-5

After school, Ethan sat at the counter in Hayley's Cyberspace, working on deciphering the hieroglyphics. Conner and Kira were sitting with him while the others were working.

"So close, only a few more symbols to translate!" Ethan beamed in his excitement.

"You're not translating anything, you Dill Weed." Raina complained, making drinks, "You're using a computer program to do it for you. It's not the same thing."

"It's working, isn't it?"

"Are you getting extra credit for this or something?" Conner looked up from the essay he was writing as Raina handed him a smoothie. "Thanks."

"No, it's a personal challenge," Ethan replied. "Tutenhawken may have been the King of Egypt, but I'm the King of Codes." He grinned at his friends.

Jenna, who was bringing back some empty cups, scoffed, "King of Codes? Please. I wouldn't even rank you in the top three. Billy is leagues ahead of you." She at the group, "After that: Cam, Hayley and Justin. At the most, you're number five."

"Joel's wife, Angela, would be after Hayley." Zoey commented, starting a new drink.

"Right. So, Ethan would be six." Jenna smirked at the glare Ethan threw her, "What?"

"Mrs. Porter said there might be a curse." Kira chuckled at them, "Maybe you shouldn't."

"This is about technology. Hard facts. Not about some crazy legend."

Andy laughed as he grabbed a smoothie that Raina handed him, "Should we tell him about Shimazu and his Wolfblades?" At Jenna growl, he backed up, "Or not. I'll just leave incase the curse that's about to hit Ethan is contagious. I don't need anymore bruises, thank you."

"I'm not about to get cursed!" Ethan rolled his eyes.

Zoey rang a drink up on the register and rolled her eyes, "Try living in Angel Grove from '93 to '98; you'll believe in anything. Especially curses."

"Whatever." Ethan mutter, staring at his screen, "Yes! I got it!"

"Cool, what does it say?" Conner asked as those gathered leaned in.

"'To the defilers of my tomb, I now bestow eternal doom. Woe to you who read this first, upon you is the Pharaoh's… curse'." Ethan looked up, nervous.

"Oh, dude! You're cursed!" Conner laughed. "Get away from me before it rubs off!"

"Told you!" Andy smarted, coming back with more empty cups. "Let me know if he starts exhibiting any animalistic traits. We can send him to the zoo."

"Very funny." Ethan muttered, not looking very amused.

"Seriously, though, what's gonna happen?" Conner smiled, enjoying himself, "Are you gonna turn into a Cocker Spaniel or grow an extra head or something?"

"He couldn't handle being a dog." Raina giggled, "He wouldn't last one day on a leash with Jenna as his dog trainer."

They laughed, "I'd rather a dog than an extra head." Jenna smirked, high-fiving Zoey as they made smoothies together, "One talking Blue Boy is enough."

"These warnings were put on the tomb to scare off grave robbers and thieves." Ethan told them. "That's all it is."

"Hmm."

He looked around as placating sounds came from the group around him, "Back me up here, Kira?" He asked, turning to look at her.

"Hey, I said you shouldn't read it." Kira raised her hands in defence. "Don't blame me if all your hair falls out."

Ethan sighed when everyone laughed, "You guys, listen. Nothing is gonna happen from reading that curse." He insisted, and they all scoffed.

Andy turned to Zoey "$10 says we're right and he's wrong."

"Sucker bet. I've seen both Mummy movies way too much to know better." She leaned forward, "$20 says reading the curse woke Tutenhawken up."

He scoffed, "I've seen those movies too. It wasn't a curse that brought him back; it was when that woman read from that book."

"Prove me wrong."

"Alright. It's a bet."

Raina just scrunch her nose as he walked off, "He's never going to learn, is he?"

Jenna laughed, "Not in this lifetime." She looked at her smirking friend, "Half?"

"As usual."

1-2-3-4-5

Later, when things settled a bit, Ethan's alarm started beeping, "5:30?! I told my mom I'd pick her up at work!" He grabbed his laptop and rushed to unplug it. In his haste, it slipped from his grasp and slammed onto the ground, exploding in sparks. "I don't believe it." He whimpered, picking it up.

His friends crowded around him in sympathy, "Ouch." Raina wined, stepping back.

"Your new laptop!" Kira stared at the destroyed computer.

"Dude," Andy stared, as shocked as the rest, "that sucks."

"My games… my files… " Ethan's eyes as he whined, "My life." He brought the computer to his chest and hugged it tight.

"It's started. Tutenhawken's curse," Conner realized as they leaned away from him.

"Would you quit it about the curse?" Ethan groaned. "There's no such thing..." he mumbled, walking away.

1-2-3-4-5

Conner, and Kira were sitting at a table with Andy and Raina, who had just gotten off, drinking smoothies when Ethan walked in and came up to the table.

"Guys, listen I think you're right. Tutenhawken's curse is real." Ethan stated, as the group gagged at the stench coming off him.

"Eww, dude you want to tell us from over there." Conner gestured away from them, "You smell like week old fish sticks."

"What is that smell?" Zoey asked from the bar as she and Jenna held their noses, "That's worse than the Florabundacus seedlings."

"Another situation I'm glad I wasn't there for." Raina said, stepping away from the table, "That is rank.

"I'm sorry, but all this weird stuff has been happening to me and there's no other explanation." Ethan complained.

Just then, Devon backed in wearing some weird Egyptian costume, waving a large fan, "Step through, my Queen." Cassidy, who was dressed like Cleopatra in a dark blue dress, jewels and a wig, glided through the room like she owned it.

"Don't you think it's a little early for Halloween, Cassidy?" Kira asked, confused about the blonde's attire.

"You shall address me as Queen Cassipatra," Cassidy replied, sticking her nose in the air as she walked past them.

Jenna raised an eyebrow at Cassidy, "I have other names for her." She looked at her friends, "They're just not appropriate for polite company."

"I can't believe I used to live like these lowly commoners." Cassidy states as she waved at the chair, "My chair!"

Devin wiped down the chair and table and pulled out the chair for Cassidy

"What did she just call us? Oh!" Raina growled, standing up, "I'll show her lowly." She would've stormed over there, but Andy grabbed her arm and forced her back down, "Common? Seriously?"

"Breathe. Go to your happy place." He soothed, shooting amused looks to Jenna and Zoey at the bar, "Just think of Dustin and you'll be fine."

Ethan got up and walked over to the blonde, "Cass, what's with all this?"

"You stinketh to high heaven." She waved a hand in front of her face, "I find your odor most foul, peasant."

"Peasant? Are you losing it?"

"No, actually, I just found it." Cassidy replied, "Someone who appreciates me, that is. Look at all this gold and jewels he gave me."

"Man, people called you shallow, and I always told them they were wrong." He shook his head, "It looks like I'm the one who was wrong."

She made a face before Devon stepped up to him, "Keep it moving, pal." He barked, pushing Ethan away.

Ethan sat back down at the table with the others.

"Peasant?" Raina glared, "That's worse than commoner."

"Don't feel bad Ethan, Cassidy will never change." Kira said, sympathetically.

"But she was changing." Ethan replies, "This whole Cleopatra thing has got to have something to do with that Pharaoh. I got to find a way to break that curse."

"Maybe there was something we missed at the museum?"

"Yeah, like some type of counter spell or something." Ethan agreed.

"Kira. Raina. Why don't you two go back to the museum, see if you can find anything." Conner states, "Ethan, I think you, Andy and I should go to Dr. O and fill him on the situation."

"Let us know what he says." Zoey called, as the teens got up.

"Keep us informed if we need to get involved." Jenna agreed.

"You got it." Andy nodded, putting two ten dollar bills on the counter, "I don't even know why I bother anymore."

"Hey, as long as I keep winning, I don't care." Zoey smirked as she picked up the money and handed one of the tens to Jenna.

Trent walk over from the back and stared at Cassidy, "Do I want to know?"

"Want?" Zoey shrugged, "Probably not. Need? Definitely."

1-2-3-4-5

At the museum, the girls made their way to the Sarcophagus, "This guy's uglier the second time around." Raina whispered, "I don't even know why I'm here."

"Helping?" Kira replied as they snuck around the figure on the front of the sarcophagus, "You may not be an active Ranger, but you were and you know how to fight. Not to mention being a kick ass Ninja. Conner's being cautious and didn't want to send me alone. Plus, I think it gives us more time to bond."

"Over Ethan's stupidity?" The Lightning Ninja shrugged, "I'll take it." They knelt down on the opposite side of the curse, so Kira could start copying the hieroglyphics, when the tomb flashed and Tutenhawken showed up.

"Thieves! Who dares defile the Pharaoh's tomb!"

They ducked as Tutenhawken tried to punch them, "No! I was just coping them down!" Kira yelled, folding the paper and putting in her back pocket.

"You shall bare the wrath of Tutenhawken!" He roared, charging at them.

Kira and Raina tried to punch and kick Tutenhawken, but he was too strong. After blocking and flipping them, the two girls stood up facing him.

"And you shall bare the wrath of the yellow." Kira replies. Nodding at Raina to step back, she summoned her morpher.

"DINO THUNDER! POWER UP! HA!"

"Petra power!"

"Fire lasers!" Kira states as she opened fire with her Thundermax blaster.

Raina, who had picked the paper out of Kira's pocket, snuck back over to the sarcophagus and finished writing the images down; attempting to avoid the fight as explosions sounded around her.

She looked back to see the creature throw a whip out and wrap it around Kira. The whip lit up in green as he threw her across the room.

"Your whole city will pay for what you have done!"

"No!" Raina shouted, rushing over to her friend's side.

"Stop!" Kira exclaims, panting. "I'm going after him." She said, pointing to the paper, "Get that to Dr. O."

"You got it." They rushed out and split up.

1-2-3-4-5

"Hayley, let us know if we can help." Tommy said as Haley lowered a welding mask on her head. Squatting down behind a couple of screens, she lit up her torch and got to work.

Andy leaned against a column and, keeping one ear on the conversation, watched Hayley through one of the panels.

"So what do you think, Dr. O?" Ethan asked over the noise. "Could this curse thing be for real?"

"If there's anything I learned from being a Ranger, it's that anything's possible."

"What's the new project that Haley's working on?" Conner asked, curious.

Tommy crossed his arms, "I don't know. She won't even tell me."

Andy just laughed, "That sounds about right."

When the alarms sounded, they looked over the see a morphed Kira, "Guys! We've got a mad mummy in the quarry."

"Monster Con at the quarry again." Andy sighed, "What is it about those places?"

"We've been trying to figure that out for years. You three go help Kira and I'll contact Trent." Tommy order.

"Jenna?"

"Not yet. Drina's going to be doing some tests on her later, so she can stay at the cafe with Zoey. We'll tell you why later. Now, go!"

The guys got in position, "Ready?"

"Ready!"

"DINO THUNDER! POWER UP! HA!"

1-2-3-4-5

"Who dares to challenge me?" Tutenhawken asked as he landed in the quarry.

Kira jumps forward, "Me!" She yelled, slashing at him with her Ptera grips.

"Super Dino Mode!"

Kira flew past, hitting in the chest. When she landed, he exploded in a column of flames. She looked over as Conner, Ethan and Andy ran up.

"Kira! Are you okay?" Conner asked, checking her over.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She answered.

"And so am I!" Tutenhawken roars as he rose from the smoke.

"But how? I destroyed you!" Kira gasped.

"There is only one way to destroy the great Tutenhawken!" The creature stated, firing multiple blasts at them. As the Rangers dove out of the way, Tutenhawken flew up and grabbed Conner, taking off with him.

"We got to follow him!" Ethan yelled.

They followed them out of the quarry and into the forest. They caught up to them just as Conner landed on the ground.

"Aw, man!" They stood in front of their leader and pulled out the sidearms, "Thundermax Lasers!" The mummy dodged the blasts and flew straight down, slicing them with his wings.

As he lands, he pulls his whip back out, "Now you will all pay!" Before he could do anything, white lightning forms around him and he falls to the ground. Standing there was a morphed Trent.

"You want more?" He asked, holding up his Drago Sword in pen mode.

"Yes! You shall see me again!" Tutenhawken declared before retreating.

"Power down!" Trent commands

"Power down!" The others follow after him.

"Hey guys." Trent greets.

"Thanks man, we owe you one." Conner replies.

"Not a problem," Trent states, nodding.

"This whole thing is my fault," Ethan states, bummed out.

"Look, he said there's only one way to defeat him. We just got to find out what that is." Conner stated, trying to be encouraging.

Andy nodded, "He's right. Kira," he turned to the Yellow Ranger, "were you able to get anything from the museum before he attacked?"

"We copied the hieroglyphs from the other side of the sarcophagus." Kira nodded, "I followed the Pharaoh freak and Raina took the paper to the lab."

"Great." He looked at Ethan, "Come on, Tricera Boy. Let's go look at it. There might be a counter spell in there."

"Yeah, it's worth a shot," Ethan agreed, pulling out his beeping phone.

Conner placed a hand on Ethan's shoulder, "Well, get cracking King of codes."

Just then, he fumbled the phone out of his hand, dropping it in the mud. As he bent to pick it up, he ended up kicking it across the field, "Oh man." He groaned as he rushed over to get it.

Trent turned just as a tree started falling over, "Look out!" He rushes forward and pushes Ethan out of the way.

The other four gasped in shock and ran over to check on them, "You okay?" Conner asked, concerned.

"Don't worry Ethan, you can break the curse." Kira said, looking worried.

"I just hope I live long enough to do it." Ethan moaned from the ground.

1-2-3-4-5

The Rangers were gathered around Ethan as he worked on one of the lab's computers, trying to break the new code, "Come on. Sweet, you're mine."

"Careful, there might be an even worse curse," Conner warned, "Hey, that rhymes."

The others just looked at Conner, then laughed shakily. "Dude," Andy shook his head, "Stick to the Jock Talk."

Ethan rolled his eyes, "Tutenhawken's power cannot be matched on Earth, but only in the sky can you break the Pharaoh's Curse."

"Great, I'll just use the Pterazord to fight it." Kira smiled.

"I don't think it works that way, Kira." They turned to see Zoey coming down the stairs with Drina and Jenna behind her, "The curse is on Ethan. He may be the one that needs to break it."

"She's right." Drina nodded, "Magic is very specific. Ethan read the curse, which means that he's the one that needs to break it."

"Well, the last time I checked, the Tricerazord didn't have wings." Ethan complained, "So, what am I supposed to do?"

"Ethan," Haley rushed down the stairs and ran over to the group, "you are about to owe me so big time. Come look."

"So big time?" Jenna muttered, following the group, "Is that a thing?"

Haley lead them to a rock wall that, once it was raised, revealed a new, state-of-the-art bike in Tricera Blue.

"Whoa, check it out." Ethan awed.

"That's what you were working on earlier." Andy stared, "Question. Why is there only one?"

"It uses Ethan's Tricera power." Zoey nodded, "It's designed to use your genetic abilities into new assault vehicles. We just started with Ethan because of his strength. Makes for a great first run."

"Tight. So, that's just for me then?" Ethan asked, eager.

"Yep, the latest technology." Hayley replied, smiling in excitement, "It's faster then anything I have ever built."

"That is so amazing." Ethan complimented before turning serious, "It wouldn't happen to fly, would it?"

"Fly?" Hayley chuckled, "No." She frowned.

Tommy touched the red head's shoulder, "Hayley, we uh… need it to fly."

"I see." Haley nodded, rolling her eyes, "And they couldn't have told me that before." She muttered as she walked to the bike.

When she lowered herself to the floor, Ethan turned to the others, "I'm going to stay and help her."

"It's your curse, Blue Boy." Raina chuckled, "You should be helping."

"I'll join them." Zoey stepped forward, "Since Jenna gets to endure some Drina torture, I could use the distraction."

"What torture?" Andy frowned, "What's going on?"

"In order to get the Triassic Shield, Zoey and I had to channel our magic through our gems in order to connect to the magic that hid the shield in the first place." Jenna sighed, walking over to sit in a chair, "Zoey was born with magic that had been awakened when we bonded with our gems last year. The genetic bonding technically gave her a third power separate from the actual gem powers. Her Witch Light. She's a Star Witch with the power to control light sources of any kind. The gem awakened her light on a genetic level to allow her to use it without a spell."

"It was a pain at first." Zoey called out, sitting beside Hayley, "I had no clue what it was. Drina's the one who figured it out."

"Well, when we pulled the shield out of the water, Drina believes that my gem has now done the same to me." She shrugged, "Now that I've been learning Ice Magic, it's believed that the gem has connected to that magic on a genetic level and has now given me a third genetic power. Which sucks."

"Really sucks." Raina looked at her Ninja partner, "Remind me of this moment the next time I make fun of you for getting a second morpher."

"No problem."

"Well, no time like the present." Drina pulled Jenna from her chair, "Let's go out to the sparring deck. I'm sure I can figure this out." She looked over at Raina, "Are you still interested in learning basic magic?"

"Um, yes."

"You're coming, too. Let's go."

1-2-3-4-5

After awhile, the alarms sounded again, making the remaining team rush over to the monitors. They saw Tutenhawken on the screens in a rage.

"Looks like more trouble." Tommy

"But they're not finished modifying the bike." Trent pointed out.

"Then we better hold them off as long as we can." Conner replied, nodding to his team, "Ethan! We'll see you out there!"

"Got it!"

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

"Dino Thunder, Power Up! Ha!"

"White Ranger, Dino Power!"

1-2-3-4-5

Conner, Kira, Andy and Trent arrived in the quarry and spotted Tutenhawken. "There he is!" The first three pulled out the Thundermax Lasers and Trent used his Drago Sword, "Fire!"

He shot out his own blast, which caused a backfire, sending the Rangers backs in sparks, "We got to go Super Dino!" Conner called.

The four called on their upgrade, but even then Tutenhawken was able to over power them. He flew through the air, and blasted them off their feet once more.

"Anyone else getting tired of being thrown around like rag dolls?" Andy growled.

"Me!"

"We meet again, White Ranger!" Elsa called as she appeared through an Invisiportal, sword drawn. Trent groaned, and ran to fight her, leaving the other three to continue fighting Tutenhawken.

"You two okay here?" Andy asked, standing up, "I'm gonna go help Trent." Before he could move, they were blasted to the ground again. Within seconds, Elsa blasted Trent back, sending him into them.

"Trent!" Kira moved to the White Ranger's side, helping him to sit up.

"Back off!" Conner snarled at their opponents.

Tutenhawken just laughed from the air as Elsa returned her sword to her side. "It's over Rangers!" Tutenhawken declared as the teens got back to their feet.

"Finish them!" Elsa yelled up at him.

"I shall," Tutenhawken nodded, and fired green blasts that knocked them down again. Their Super Dino Mode disappeared, and the four groaned.

"Man, that was harsh!" Conner groaned.

"When did they hook up?" Kira demanded.

"Bad choice of word, Kira! I don't need the image of them hooking up in my head, thank you!" Andy yelled, getting back to his feet, "Zeltrax was bad enough."

Elsa laughed at the situation, however, Tutenhawken was blasted through the air before he could finish.

"Hovercraft Cycle to the rescue!" Ethan cheered as he raced past the fallen Rangers on his new bike.

"Wow! Go Ethan!" The four cheered as they watched him.

"Hey, I want one of those, too!" Conner declared.

"Me too!" Andy agreed. "Think Hayley will make one for all of us?"

They watched as he raced forward, blasting lasers at Elsa. She leapt into the air and retaliated, but Ethan was able to dodge her. She continued her assault, but he sped along the bumpy ground, avoiding her attacks before leaping into the air. He fired his blaster, causing Elsa to scream as she was knocked to the ground.

"Look out!" Conner yelled, and Ethan narrowly avoided Tutenhawken's attack.

"Goodbye!" The Pharaoh declared as he flew past.

"I don't think so! Hover-Mode, Activate!" The bike flew into the air, changing forms, allowing Ethan to fly after the Pharaoh. "Thrusters!"

"You will never defeat the curse!" Tutenhawken roared as Ethan flew over his head and faced him again.

"Never is a long time, baby! Fire!" Ethan shot towards Tutenhawken, blasting him repeatedly and destroyed him. "Sometimes, I just love this job." He laughed. The other four cheered him on as he returned to land, his bike switching back. "Now that was crazy!"

"You broke the curse!" Kira smiled at him.

"I sure hope so." Ethan nodded. Before long, the Hydro Regenerator was activated and Tutenhawken reappeared, laughing.

"He's back!" Trent groaned, before Elsa walked towards them.

"Not her too!" Ethan complained loudly.

"I'll handle Elsa." Trent said, falling into a fighting stance as he faced the woman.

"We'll finish the freak." Conner told him, and he nodded. "Let's try some Triassic power!" Conner called on his shield, and the other three passed their power to it. "Shield of Triumph, activate!" Conner's suit changed, and called on the new Zord.

They stayed morphed this time and went into the Rover with Conner.

"Mezadon Rover, online!" Tutenhawken blasted them, but they rode straight through it.

"Mezadon! Full power!" The four called out, and shot past Tutenhawken, easily destroying him again.

"Question." Andy scratched his head, "How is the museum going to explain a missing 4,000 year old sarcophagus?"

Everyone shrugged, just as confused.

"No idea? Okay, well, hope they had insurance on it."

1-2-3-4-5

The teens were back at the cafe playing Foosball; Conner and Kira versus Ethan and Andy. The other girls were still at the training field and Trent was back behind the counter, working.

"Oh, and it's another victory for Team Red!" Conner declared, "Sorry guys. Tell you what, next time we'll play Tomb Raider."

Ethan just gave Conner a glare. "Okay, bad idea."

"You think?" Andy snickered, "Maybe next time he'll listen to us."

"Alright, it was all real." Ethan threw up his hands, "I'm just glad that stupid curse is broken. It was brutal."

"Speaking of brutal." Kira pointed out as Cassidy walked in as herself.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" She asked, "Alone?"

"Can we make this quick?" He sighed, "I'm busy."

They walk over and sat down on one of the couches.

"Listen, about the way I treated you before." She explained, "It wasn't very nice and I just wanted to say that I'm… I'm… you know what I mean." She gestured with her hands as she tried to get her words out.

"Wait a minute," He smiled, "is Queen Cassipatra actually trying to apologize?"

"Yes, and you're not making it very easy for me."

"I don't intend too," He admonished, "you have a lot of making up to do."

Devin walked in, "Hey Cass," he greeted, handing her books to her, "I've picked up your dry cleaning and I've also dropped off those videos. What next?" He smiled as he started to back up, "A decaf latte?"

"Yeah, thanks." Cassidy replied, smiling as he went to the counter.

"Looks like Cassidy has a spell on Devin and Ethan." Kira commented, making the boys laugh.

1-2-3-4-5

Zoey smirked as Drina held up a fried target, "Raina, Lightning is thy name."

Raina sat on a bench, frowning. "I was hoping for something other than Lightning."

"Between the three of us," Jenna reasoned, "Zoey's the only one who's magic isn't connected to her Ninja skills."

Zoey laughed, "I think that's just because there is no Light Ninja Academy."

Drina stepped forward, "I will be happy to work with the three of you on your magic. It will have to be at different times, though. Raina is just starting out and Zoey has been training for over a year. We have to make allowances for skills."

"And me?" Jenna asked, quirking an eyebrow, "Now that the gem has upped my burgeoning Ice Powers, do I need extra work?"

"Yes, you will."

"Did you figure out what the power up on her magic was?" Tommy asked, walking over. He tilted his head as he pointed to the target, "Raina?"

"Her newly awakened magic."

"Figured."

They laughed, "So, with Zoey, because her magic was genetic, you are seeing what we already figure out; a third power. The gem uses her light magic and pulls it to the forefront without casting any spells. It's called Witch Light, or Lumen. She can generate small burst of strait light out of her hands; which is different from her fireworks and energy blasts. With practice, she'll be able to control the heat amount coming out of it. She can also use it to just light up her hands if she's in need of a flashlight." She dodged the rock Zoey threw at her, "Don't be a grump."

Zoey smirked, "We figured all that out before we came back from Angel Grove. The only thing the Triassic Shield incident did was allow me to combine all three powers at once. That's going to take a lot of practice to get down."

He nodded, "I'll bet."

Drina threw the rock back at Zoey before turning back to Tommy, "Jenna is different, as both of her Dino Powers have to do with Ice, which is also what her magical element is."

"So, what does that mean for her?"

"An upgrade. No extra powers, just an add-on to what she already has. Instead of having to touch something to freeze it, she can just wave her hand at it. Her Ice weather magic stays the same, just with a few extras. She can now create frigid winds and lower the temperature in her environment. These girls are going to need a lot of practice."

"Oh, boy."
