Ch1: Enter The Access Code!
It seems to be quiet in a ruined station and there wasn't anyone else disturbing the place… until now. The sound and flash of bullets firing by two robotic beings with rifles in their hand at what looks like an area. The two firing everything that they have at the shadowy figure hiding in the corner of the alley.
"Are you sure that you got him?" The purplish soldier asked, uncertain.
"I'm certain that there is no way he can take on both of us at the same time especially with how we cornered him." the yellowish green soldier replied.
Just then the two soldiers like avatars were pinned to the wall by electricity coursing through the ground.
"I think it's the other way around when I trapped both of you… even when you're trying to ruin my days." A male voice said in an irritating tone.
"Impossible…" the yellowish green soldier uttered in disbelief.
Both of them looked up to see someone who was standing on the ceiling. It was a large draconic figure in crimson armor with yellow gleaming eyes. The crimson helmet has a strange design, but it's oval shaped with a horn at the nose. There are also two crimson horns in shape of those of a bull in both shape and position on the helmet. There is also white spiky hair looming behind the helmet. The draconic figure was donned in what seems to be grey bodysuit with crimson armor over the body. Rectangular shoulder pads hanging on both shoulders. There is what looks like a central hip guard, like a loincloth, and was attached itself at the waist. There are two leg armors with the same colors covered from knees to the saurian legs which consist of three red claws. Attached to his two arms are large high tech Vulcan guns.
"There is no way that you can survive from that!" The purplish soldier gasped in shock.
"I will say that but you should know my reputation as a hunter," The crimson draconic warrior sneered coldly before materialized two large shoulder blasters on his shoulders. "You should give up while you can… and I'll let you keep your pride intact."
This didn't seem to please the yellowish green soldier.
"Red Blitz…! This time, we're gonna cuts you down!" The yellowish soldier said, struggle to get out.
"GIGA VOLT!" Red Blitz shouts before his shoulder guns releasing intense energy blasts that struck both of his enemies in the process.
The attack destroyed them in the process and leaving Red Blitz the only one on the abandoned station. It wasn't that long until a screen showed up in front of him with a blazing word.
WINNER!
Red Blitz let out a sigh before he landed on the ground. His surrounding turned blue as the ruined station was melt away to replace with a normal train station and there is a lot of human in the process.
Even Red Blitz's appearance changed that of a young man that appeared around the age of 16. He has messy black hair and green eyes, wearing a red Neurolinker around his neck. He is dressing in a high school uniform, carrying a shoulder bag. His name was Setsuna Kido.
He hears a familiar bell and turned around to see the train coming toward the station.
I really should have turned off the globe network… but at least, the fight didn't last that long or I will miss my train… Setsuna thought as he and others around him soon got aboard the train.
While Setsuna was sitting in the passenger seat, he was thinking about something that happens a few incidents in a few years.
One incident was a mysterious program known as Brain Burst was send to children from seven years ago. The secret programs allowed a person to make time seemingly stop by "accelerating" their brainwaves. There were no clues on who were the creators. There are some key conditions in order to upload into one's Neurolinker. The program required burst points which people compete in fights with unique avatars in a virtual world which doesn't affect the real world.
Setsuna's avatar was known as Red Blitz. Though he was once part of the legions especially Prominence that lead by Red Rider… who was once his close friend. It was fun at first when it comes to competing against other Players in the virtual world. However, due to an unfortunate event make him ceases to find any joy of that place. But that is a story for another time.
The second thing was strange rumors that technologies that allowed people to accessed the network behaving in strange ways. No one knows what exactly went wrong. But there were a lot of people have ended up in unfortunate incidents. No one cannot figure out what went behind the problems of these glitches.
Setsuna cannot help but feel that if no one figures out this problem, then there will be a lot of issues going on. After all, a lot of technologies have changed over time especially people implant computer technologies in their bodies.
It wasn't long until he saw that he come to the station at his school, Setsuna got off the train after the doors opened.
Unknown to Setsuna, there was a strange rift in the air as five sparkles of light emerged out of the place above the city. They cannot be seen by the normal eye of human to be safe to say that they are not part of this world. It wasn't long that these sparkles of light went separation direction.
As he was walking toward the school, Setsuna was listening to music through a pair of small earbuds from the I-phone. Sure, there is no need for the phone at this at age but it for an emergency when something wrong with the Neurolinker. Not to mention Setsuna like listening to music on the I-phone that his father entrusted him from his youth.
Just then Setsuna felt his earbuds and the music was pulled out of his ears, making him looked alarmed until hearing a mischief giggles making his eyebrow twitching.
"Fuuko…" Setsuna looked somewhat annoyed at the person who took his earbuds from him, "What the heck?" he asked.
The one who took his earbuds was an attractive young girl. She has long light brown hair and blue eyes, wearing the same school uniform but for girls. Not to mention wearing a blue Neurolinker around her neck. This girl's name was Fuuko Kurasaki.
"You know that it's impolite to ignored when someone wants to talk to you especially if it's your friend." The girl said with a mischief grin. This girl's name was Fuuko Kurasaki.
Setsuna sighed. He knows from hanging out with her that she won't leave him alone by the way she grins at him. Not to mention this also make him an enemy of many male students in their school for being friends with Fuuko as she rejected their request of going out with them.
Contrast to their jealous, Setsuna doesn't see his relationship with Fuuko as any romantic as anyone would claim. The only thing that he has common with Fuuko was being the only retired Brain Burst players in high school.
"How are you doing this morning?" Setsuna asked back to her.
"I'm good and didn't have any problems on the way here." Fuuko replied smiling.
"Now would please give me back my earbuds?" Setsuna asked.
"Only because you say please. But don't let the teachers take it from you." Fuuko replied, giving his earbuds back.
After placing them away, Setsuna soon remembered there is something that he overheard. Though he wasn't sure about it, he should least tell her first. "Anyway… I hear this rumor when I got invited by unwanted visitors this morning. But I'm not sure if it true or not. Your old friend Lotus is back in the party." He said, making her look surprised.
This made Fuuko stops from the stairs and closed her eyes after hearing the name Lotus. It wasn't surprising that Setsuna speaking in codes that Fuuko understands due to it being another way to talk about Brain Burst programs. 'Unwanted visitors' means other players and party mean 'Brain Burst Program'.
"I see… she is going back, huh? I don't think—"
But Setsuna interrupted her, "What happened was not your fault. But how long do you think that you need to keep on running?" he sighed at her expression didn't change and looking at the clock, "Anyway, I have to go. See you around." He said.
Fuuko nodded quietly before she went on ahead to her class while Setsuna watching her with a solemn expression.
I guess that the news about her friend will not really make her go back despite what she said back then… Setsuna thought about his old rival and friend. He was thinking back to how they crossed path with each other.
(Flashback)
Setsuna, or Red Blitz was observing the territory battle for Narima from a tall building before glancing at the map diagram. The Second Command of Prominence is guarding his post while keeping monitor over other members on the battlefield.
It wasn't long until he saw the map diagram to show that one of the Nega Nebulus coming this way after went passed Rook and coming toward his direction.
"Whoever… they are, they won't be able to pass me." Red Blitz said with a serious tone.
Red Blitz activated his thrusters and began to move higher into the sky. Soon he positioned himself and focused his special gauge to full as sparks radiation from his armor. As he soon saw a shadow coming toward his way, he unleashed his signature move.
"RAPTURE'S END!" He shouted.
He released the energy blasts from his back and then followed up with missiles from his Vulcan guns toward the street and destroying everything in the way and leaving no survivors alive. Or, Red Blitz originally thought when he saw someone flew through the explosion. The avatar was a white female humanoid girl with silver hair and yellow eyes, wearing a blue-chrome Valkyrie-like armor and odd jetpack behind her.
"Shit!" Red Blitz looks surprised to see her flew toward him and flew out of the way. But the mysterious female seems to say that and do a midair somersault in the air before coming back at him in incredible speed.
Red Blitz tried to shoot at her, but she moved out of the way and slammed her leg into where the sun doesn't shine. Even though they're in virtual reality, the pain of being hurt there still felt really real.
"AAAHHH!" Red Blitz screamed before smack straight to a tall building and was sending impact across the rooftop.
But Red Blitz manages to stab one of his Vulcan hard to the ground to stop himself from falling further. He also glaring at the one who flew in the air.
"So you still have some fight in you… even after enduring that blow." The mysterious female mused.
"That was not funny!" Red Blitz growls.
(Present)
They're the first avatars with the abilities to flight in their respective legions and what sets them as rivals in the beginning. Compared to Setsuna, Fuuko longer to reach the limit of the sky more than him that eventually becomes more of obsession.
Despite how she polite and helpful now, Setsuna knows that she still regrets about what happens with her legion. Even though Setsuna still hold bitterness toward Black Lotus, he won't lash out at Fuuko. It almost makes him felt pity that Fuuko isn't her old self anymore.
Setsuna knows there is nothing for him to do… as his issue with his former legion wasn't that big. Even though they did claim to honor the treaty, but Setsuna cannot help feel hollow about their words. Who won't say that the treaty that his friend believed will last?
"I probably should meet up with Ryuji later…" Setsuna muttered as he remembered that there is something else that he needed to take care after school is over.
But first, he should get to his class before being treated as tardy on his attendant record.
(Later)
After school was over, Setsuna went down the market street as he has a quick stop that he needed to make before heading home. His destination happens to be a café with the name Hoodie. The café itself had a row of shelves that contain magazine and books and there is a cash register table nearby. He often comes here a lot after school whenever he needs a break from the intense glare from other guys at school without going insane.
Setsuna watched customers looking at the shelves while others went into the computer room. It wasn't long until he was greeted by a young hostess.
"Hello, Kido-san. What do you need today?" The hostess asked.
"Is Ryuji around?" Setsuna asked. "I have some business with him…"
"Sorry, Setsuna. Ryuji hadn't come back yet from his recent case yet." The hostess said, apologetically.
"If he has a business with Ryuji, I can take care of things for him." A male voice said as Setsuna turned around to see who it was. "Yo, Setsuna."
It was a young man around his age with short, straight dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He dressed in a dark blue jacket with a light blue shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
"Hey, Chitose." Setsuna said. A friend who left Prominence after what happens to their leader and becomes a freelance hacker. The occasion, they will bump into each other whenever they're on the network.
"Wait for me at the usual table and I'm getting refreshment," Chitose said as Setsuna nodded and followed his friend to a table. Setsuna sat there for a few minutes before Chitose came back with two soda cans and the two started drinking them quietly.
"I take that you find something for the case we're working on, right?" Chitose asked. Setsuna isn't a member of his Hacker Team, but Setsuna does owe few favors to them and come help them out with cases that they might have difficult to deal with.
"Here is the data with the information that Ryuji ask for," Setsuna said, took out the metal chip from his pocket and give to his friend.
"I will give that to Ryuji when he comes back," Chitose said before taking the chip and placed in his pocket. "So how things were between you and Fuuko?" he asked. He is the only few people that Setsuna come when it comes to deal with girls and being number one enemy to most of the males in his school.
Setsuna places his drink down and sighs with a depressed expression.
"Not going well, huh?" Chitose asked.
"Not exactly," Setsuna admit. "Even if I told her about the reappearance of her old friend there… she won't budge to see her." He said.
"I see. Matters between women tend to be complicated." Chitose said with sage-like tone. "How about taking her on a date?"
This made Setsuna narrowed his eyebrows. "Chitose, you and I know that Fuuko rejected the entire male student body at my school as she proved that she wasn't clearly interested. And I don't see her like that." He reminded.
Chitose wasn't fazed by the expression. "Well, you're the only person who she ever be friends with after all this time, right? Maybe you should least man up and ask her." He said with a hint of teasing.
"How about you? Have you ask her yet?" Setsuna countered, briefly stare at the hostess before looking back at his friend with a dubious expression. "Have you two become a couple yet?"
"Well…" Chitose tried to come up with a counter-argument, but couldn't.
"Then don't talk about me and Fuuko when you never been in a relationship, Chitose." Setsuna finished before drinking his soda.
"If that how it is, then I think you should least give her time to make her own decision." Chitose suggested.
"I see… is there anything else do you need before I leave?" Setsuna asked, checking the time.
"… there is something that I might need your help." Chitose said, getting Setsuna's attention.
"What is it?" Setsuna asked, raising an eyebrow. "Another hacker case?"
"Something like that." Chitose looking with concern expression. "It's about those glitches in technologies… they seem to be messing up with the latest hacker cases." He said.
"I can tell… so what do you want me to do about it? I don't even know what caused them." Setsuna shrugged.
"I know. But someone I know that tried to fight against the cause and falling into the unconscious. Some say that his Neurolinker zapped him and the doctors cannot find a logical explanation for it." Chitose requested.
"Huh? How is that even possible? Neurolinker isn't supposed to do that, right?" Asked Setsuna, surprised.
"I'm pretty shocked as well." Chitose said. "Setsuna, I know it might be much… but could you help out with keeping an eye?" he asked.
"I guess that I have no choice then…" Setsuna shrugged. "If Neurolinker can shock people into unconscious… it something that I cannot ignore." Though it will be dangerous, Setsuna is pretty confident in his hacking skills to prevent himself from enduring the same fate.
"Thanks, man," Chitose said smiling.
Setsuna finished his drink and looks at the time. "Anyway, I will be going now." He said. "Tell Ryuji that I say hi."
"See you, man," Chitose said as he watched Setsuna leaving the café from the front door.
(Next day)
"SETSUNA… WAKE UP!" The sixteen-year-old young man groans after his mother pulled the cover of his bed from his face.
"I'M UP!" Setsuna yelled after feeling the warmth of his bed sheet was removed from him by his mother. He then looks at the alarm clock and looks angry. "Why did you wake me up before the alarm clock does it?!"
His mother, Ruiko Kido, has a big grin upon her face. She happens to be an early morning person especially when it comes to getting her two children up from bed. She looks around the age of 32 with long black hair tied in a ponytail and green eyes. She is currently wearing a sleeveless, black sweater over long white sleeves shirts, black pants, and sandals.
"That is only if you work your traps better, my son." His mother said with a challenging grin before run out when Setsuna threat to throw his pillow at her.
The young man looks at the supposed trap that he set up to prevent his mother from breaking in like before. But to his dismay, his mother was able to disable them without problems. He sighed before he got up and getting his clothes ready. It wasn't long until he goes to the dining room where he saw breakfast plates for three at the table. His father is still traveling aboard due to his work as a scientist that kept him away from home most of the time. It usually his mother who make sure that he and Mikoto being taken care of.
Speak of his sister, she happening to be at the table before him but still wearing her pink pajamas eating breakfast.
"Morning, Onii-chan." Mikoto said. She looks around the age of 10, black hair with one unusual long strand of hair, and hazel brown eyes.
"Morning, Mikoto." Setsuna said before petting her hair.
"Did Kaa-san went through your traps?" She asked.
"I have no idea how she disables them…" Setsuna sigh before sat down to eat his breakfast.
(Later)
Setsuna waits patiently until his class is over and lunch began, the young man was about to leave his seat when the announcement reached his classroom.
"Setsuna Kido, you need to come into the principal office. There is an emergency from your family." The announcement said.
This got Setsuna's attention immediately before he got his stuff and ran out of the classroom. It wasn't that long until he arrived at the principal's office.
"I'm here!" Setsuna called out. "What's the matter?" he asked.
"It seems that your sister has an accident that she needs to be sent to the hospital. After a technician failure at her school." The principal informed as Setsuna's eyes widen in shock.
"W-What?!" Setsuna looks alarmed, "Is Mikoto alright?" he asked when the news about his younger sister shocked him.
"Your mother says she going to have an operation and you should be there as she believed that she cannot make there." The principal explains.
Soon Setsuna spoke slowly, "Is it alright if I'm excused from the rest of the classes?"
The principal nodded. "I already informed your other teachers about the emergency. The next train will arrive in 10 minutes that I believed you can make there if you catch on time."
"Thank you, sir." Setsuna bowed before leaving the office. He first left a message to Fuuko that he won't be at the rooftop due to a family emergency.
The young man soon walking on his way toward the front door of the school. It wasn't long until he starts running down the stairs.
Hang on, Mikoto… I'll be there! Setsuna thought serious as he runs to the train station.
In an unknown area, a shadow figure was looking at the digital map of Shibuya. There wasn't much to tell about this entity except being tall and having two glowing red eyes.
"Let's see… this place should be destroyed." The shadow figure said before focused on what looks like a hospital. "Gilarus!"
Behind the shadow, figure was a large spiked dinosaur shaped monster with yellow glowing eyes.
"I want you to destroy the computer world of this hospital!" The shadow figure ordered as the large monster growl and teleported away in an instant.
"It won't be long now…" The shadow figure spoked, looking over the map of Shibuya.
It wasn't that long until Setsuna got off the train station and making his way to the hospital. But he doesn't know things could turn for the worse on his visit there.
Setsuna soon went to the attendant lady before catching his breath when he ran inside. The attendant lady soon questioned his intent here.
"Is there something that I can help you?" The attendant lady asked.
"I'm looking for Mikoto Kido, I'm her older brother." Setsuna answered tiredly.
"Let's see… Mikoto-san is currently in the operating room on floor 5." The attendant lady answered.
With that information obtain, Setsuna soon went to the elevator right now. His mind is filled with worry about being there when his sister's operation about to begin.
It wasn't that long until he walked out of the elevator before he noticed the light flickers uncontrollably through the hallway. This made Setsuna looks confused at what just happens.
"What in the world is going on here?" Setsuna wondered in shock. He was certain that the hospital is alright when he come here.
The young man soon runs to the operation room where the surgeon, and nurses were standing caution away from the patient. The patient happens to be his sister as operation tools are floating around uncontrollable.
Soon the young girl was screaming in pain due to electricity affecting her body.
"Mikoto!" Setsuna shouts before runs toward his sister.
Before the young man knew it, he was shocked by the electricity when meeting his sister and send backward in the process.
"O…Onii-chan…" The young girl uttered weakened.
"M…Mikoto!" Setsuna shout before the nurses held him back, "Let me go! That is my sister!" he snapped angrily at them.
"You need to stay away from her… the computer software going crazy… then all of these happened." The surgeon explains, looking warily at the operation tools.
"The computers… so the rumors were true." Setsuna muttered shocked. "Is my sister's Neurolinker attached to the computer's network?" he asked.
"Y-Yes… though we won't be able to do anything right now." The surgeon said.
"Please, wait for me… Mikoto." Setsuna said before he ran out of the operation room.
The young man soon summoned virtual desktop and began to be typing rapidly as he went into the hospital's computer serves to figure out what's went wrong. Though it may seem wrong by hacking into the system, but with his sister's life on the line, there is no other option.
It wasn't until footage appeared in front of him which showed the Hospital's network been damaged by a strange monster. The monster resembled a dinosaur like beast with scales like crystal and diamond, its short hands ending in two claws as large spikes of diamond extended from the back of its neck. There is also diamond-like teeth's to giving a sharp appearance.
The monster was demolished more of the hospital's network and devouring the exact data as the diamond horn on the top glowing.
"What the? A monster!?" Setsuna exclaimed in shocked. He cannot believe what he was seen going on in the hospital's network.
Unknown to Setsuna, this was Gilarus who was sent forward to begin the destruction of the hospital's network. It continued with the destruction of the network as Setsuna noticed the lights through the hallway began to diminish. This made Setsuna snapped out of it and showed a serious look.
"If this is some sort of virus, then I know how to stop it!" Setsuna stated seriously before typing keyboards at a rapid pace.
It wasn't that long until Gilarus was hit by incoming bombs from out of nowhere, but they only just bounced off in the process.
Damn it! If it wasn't in Brain Burst, then I could destroy it… Setsuna thought frustrated.
"I better sealed it off…" Setsuna said before typing the virtual desktop in front of him.
It wasn't long until Gilarus was sealed in what looks like a large prison cell and not being able to move anywhere else. Setsuna soon showed a horror look on his face when the Kajiu began to bash against the prison cell until the cell was destroyed with powerful electricity blast.
It was until that point when Setsuna realized that he wasn't deal with an ordinary virus as the attack struck him in the result. He soon felt a powerful shock coming from his Neurolinker, knocking him across the floor.
"GAAAH!" Setsuna screamed in pain.
The young man continued watching helplessly as the Kajiu continued destroyed the hospital's network. This made Setsuna think about his younger sister, that if she doesn't receive her operation soon... he will have lost her for good. While he watches, there is another memory that stirring up in his mind.
(Flashback)
A younger Setsuna was running back into the building while everything was in blaze right now.
"SATOSHI!" Setsuna shouted. "SATOSHI, WHERE ARE YOU!?"
"H-Help…" A weak voice replied, and the young teen instantly rushed over to where his friend who was stuck under some rubbles.
"Satoshi, hang on. I'm going to get you out of here…" the young man said as he tried to get him out despite his friend groan in pain.
"Get out of here! This building is going to blow up, you need to save yourself!" His friend protests desperately.
"No! I'm not leaving you here! Don't you remember our promise? That we won't leave each other behind!" Setsuna snapped, pulled him out further.
"You keep telling me that… but I cannot remember…" His friend said as this giving Setsuna a painful expression.
Suddenly the rooftop above them about to fall on top of them and his friend pushed him away to prevent him from suffering the same fate.
"SATOSHI!" Setsuna screamed as his friend looks at him and smiles and being forced to watching with his very eyes as the rubbles collapsed on him completely.
(Present)
"No! Not again… I cannot do anything to save her…" Setsuna cried out in frustration as a bright light orb soon merged with him completely. It wasn't long until he hears a strange voice in his head.
"You aren't alone." A mysterious voice said.
"Who…?" Setsuna asked, looking around confused.
It wasn't that long until the footage of the Kajiu was replaced with a strange screen.
ENTER THE ACCESS CODE!
"Huh?" Setsuna looked strange at the odd screen in front of him. What in the world is this?
"Hurry and enter the access code. If you want to save your sister and everyone from Kajiu, you must enter the access code." A mysterious voice said.
"I just hope that whoever you are… you better have some explanation later," Setsuna got himself up and touched the virtual desktop in front of him. "But you say that we can beat monster… then I can save Mikoto! I'm done thinking about it!" he said with a renewed determination coursing through his being.
Setsuna wasn't sure how he knows the code as his hands were moving on their own across his keyboard. The mysterious voice didn't tell him what it was, but he somehow knew it from the start.
The access code was…
GRIDMAN
Gilarus continued causing the destruction of the network before spotted a small orb of light floating around the network. The Kajiu tried to shoot it down, but it was no use as the light orb descends to the ground.
Soon the bright light dimmer as a red being appeared. His body was mostly bright red with black patches along his thighs and his abdomen, his chest is covered in a silver breast plate with three blue bars in an upside-down triangle order, in the center was a red framed yellow light that glowed. His shoulders were red and silver while his forearms were covered in white gauntlets, his legs likewise covered in white boots that extended up over his knees. The helmet resembled that of a mixed of a knight and gladiator to an extent with a ride along the back portion of the head, a blue colored light in the center of it's forehead and bright yellow eyes.
The mysterious being soon stands up and looking up at Gilarus.
Is this Gridman…? The white being thought before hearing another voice in his conscious.
'Indeed. I will save the explanation for later, but let's fight together…'
Umm… you do know that thing is bigger than us, right?
'Don't worry just raising left hand high into the air'
Soon the mysterious being is known as Gridman raising his left hand into the air. Suddenly the unexpected thing happens as Gridman began to grow and becoming bigger in the process.
It wasn't long until Gridman become larger as the monster itself and standing face to face.
"That is much better…" Gridman commented before looking at Gilarus, "Hey Kajiu… time to make you paid for what you did."

Soon Gridman charged at Gilarus before delivering barrage of punches to send Gilarus backward in the process. Gilarus soon firing energy beam from its jaw at Gridman and this made Gridman rolled over his left shoulder to avoid the attack.
Looking at how it was made most of diamond, I should focus on attacking the front! Gridman thought to himself.
Gridman soon grabbed Gilarus by the tail and throwing the monster over his shoulder as the Kajiu was send rolling across the ground.
'Aim for the horn. That is where it gathers it's excess data that it devours.'
Gridman soon raising his left arm as energy glowing intense before raising it into the air. "Grid Beam…!"
A massive beam of energy hits Gilarus's horn and shattered it's horn in the process. This made the monster screamed in pain as he staggered a few feet backward.
Gridman soon used the distraction to get close before delivering a knee kick into the Kajiu's gut and followed up with a roundhouse kick to further sending it backward in the process.
Soon Gilarus tried to swing its tail to get Gridman, but Gridman jumped over it and got close in the process.
"Spark Beam!" Gridman shouted before delivering an uppercut on the jaw with energy blast.
This sends the monster high into the air before landing hard on the ground.
"Time to finish this…!" Gridman said serious before jumped up excessive high in the air, "Neo-Superconductivity Kick!" Gridman then came down and landed a powerful kick to the monster's torso as a small burst of energy from the impact before the beast was sent lying away and skipping over the ground.
Gilarus went limping holding its head down before cracking.
Soon Gridman brings up his arm to his face as Gilarus exploded in the process. The explosion wasn't particularly destructive to the area, but the sheer force of it still caused the wind to blow hard.

Gridman let out a sigh as he hears a beep sound and notices that it was coming from the blue light glowing on its forehead.
"So that is how long I can stay in this world before the Neurolinker is depleted?" Gridman commented before focused on his last task.
Soon Gridman gets both of his arms closed to him before the yellow gem on his chest glowing and firing sparkling beam across the ruined network. He saw the damaged on the network was restore as if the damage that Kajiu did before wasn't there before.
Gridman then makes a run before he flew high into the air and vanished from the hospital's network in the process.
Back in the real world, the strangeness in the operation room was undone as the lights stop flicker and the medical tools ceased to stop going haywire.
"Sensei, the computer seems to be back to normal!" the nurse said, looking over the screen.
The surgeon looks surprised before taking a deep breath. Even though he was confused at what happened before.
"Alright! Let's continued with the operation!" he said seriously as he reminded of his duty.
In the empty hallway of the hospital, Setsuna reappeared as he was seen stumbled across the floor. It wasn't long until he realized that he was back in the hallway.
"Oww… that hurt…" Setsuna groans in pain.
He soon looked around the hallway with a surprised expression. He is surprised that he was back in the real world.
Though he is surprised by what happens. But it also raised questions about what happened to him.
What was that Kajiu and where it comes from?
Who was that voice?
Did he really go into the network without the direct link?
Who or what is Gridman?
How did I know the access code anyway?
As Setsuna thought about these questions, he suddenly remembers something important.
"Mikoto!" Setsuna shouted as he got up and ran back to the operation room.

AN: That is the end of the first chapter for Accel Gridman World. Yes, I based Setsuna's dual avatar on BlitzGreymon but with different abilities. If you know Digimon Hacker's Memory game, then you know the names of Ryuji and Chitose come from. I want to add more cyberspace theme elements here since Gridman focused most in the cyberspace.
