Toa Solaric: This is something been on my mind from watching Garo Versus Road, I might like it but there are plot holes that concern about that universe.
I don't own both Garo and My Hero Academia.
Garo: Blurred Path
Inside of a warehouse, there was the sound of roar and destruction could be heard as two costume individuals from out of the comic books were send flying backward.
"What in the world is going on here?!" Exclaimed from a costumed individual who shakes his head from being sent flying backward.
It was supposed to be a simple job. A job to rescued hostages in a local warehouse but specifically those who have certain Quirk that attracts unwanted attention in the dark. They send the one of their own to secured the hostage while the rest holding off the criminal. Then the unexpected thing occurs when a strange black substance from out of nowhere merged with one of the criminals. The costume rescuers can't help but stopped at hearing the painful scream from the criminal who then turned into a demonic monster with glowing red eyes and skin out of steel that no one ever encounters.
The next thing happens when they tried to stop the criminal, but only end up being pummeling harder than they expected as some of them have broken bones by now.
Soon the metal monster focused on the other hero who seems to be shaking in fear upon the monster's eyes while the civilians who were originally hostage are feeling the same.
I…I can't be afraid here! I need to make sure that others get away in time! The costumed hero thought to himself before trying to circle the monster on his rollerblades to get its attention.
It seems to be working at first before the metal monster jumped and cause a quake that left everyone even the costume individual unbalance, leading to the grotesque monster to grabbed him in its hard grip and ready to pop him.
It was thought to be the end when the sound of the engine was rumbling can be heard as something in gold accelerated its way from the front entrance and heading for the metal monster. Suddenly the monster has its arm with the costumed individual being cut off immediately. The costume individual caught his breath as everyone got a better look at his savior.
He appeared to be in a black bodysuit and gold armor with a blue glowing circuit. In his right hand was a long sword that is made of gold with blue circuits as well. Covering his head was a gold helmet with a design resemble of a wolf but have a metal mouthpiece and bird-like wings on the sides of the helmet. On his legs were gold and silver leg armor with golden armored boots. The eyes of the helmet are electric blue. This was the Golden Knight, Garo.
The motorcycle that the knight was riding on resembles that of a Honda CRF450L, but reinforced with black and gold armor as it has a face of a demonic dragon. Not to mention that there is a place where a gold scabbard was placed.
Garo revering up the throttle of his motorcycle as he and the metal monster were in a stare down until they charged at each other. The monster tried to slam a fist down on the golden knight rider who moved out of the way and performed a spin slash around the monster that the monster itself clashed with its sharp claws before both were flunked to other sides.
Soon Garo revering the throttle of his motorcycle as emerald green flame surrounding him as he and the monster charged at each other again. The monster was about to throw fist upon him but Garo leaps over at the last minute and released a powerful emerald green flamed charge slash across the monster's large body.
This caused the monster to explode in a blazing of golden light before leaving the criminal who was transformed onto the ground and very unconsciousness at the same time. However, there was pitch dark energy orb made of metal gathering outside of the criminal and tried to leave.
Suddenly Garo's motorcycle mouth let out a roar before absorbing the dark orb of energy into its jaw and there was the sound of gulp. The golden armored knight soon approached the criminal and checked his pulse to find out that he is still alive.
He turned around and noticed those who were standing by looking awe at his action. The costume individuals and the civilians were surprised by the golden armored individual's appearance and freed the criminal from the strange substance when the costume individuals couldn't do it themselves. Who is he? If so, what kind of Quirk does he have?
But Garo takes out something resemble firework stick and throws it up into the air before there was a bright light that left those witnessed the fight in completely dazed and memories related to the fight were removed.
Garo soon revering his motorcycle as he left the warehouse before anyone could spot him. But someone emerged from the shadow and watching Garo left as it was a young woman wearing a red coat that covers her face.
"That was certainly a close one, or we will have memories of the fight be wiped from our mind as well." A male voice spoke.
"Can you track him?" The young woman asked, looking at the gothic ring in her hands.
"Yes, the Inga giving off by that dark substance will be enough to track him down. It will be better after I get him to agree with the contract." The gothic ring spoked. "But whether he comes back or not, is his own choice after what his uncle told us about that death game incident."
The young woman takes a deep breath and exhausted before nodded. She then hears police siren as it was that point that they will leave right now. After coming a long way to this city, they won't stop until they meet the man who donned the golden armor.
(Next day)
In what looks like a basement, there are some heavy training equipment and supplies but there was an isolated room that was cover in a very thick glass wall where two individuals in there— a young man and a little girl standing across what looks like a chained black metal box.
The young man has short black hair and emblem brown eyes, dressing in a large white shirt, black pants, and black shoes. On his belonging was a long sword in a red sheath that has some parts were wrapped in black and had a few metal parts on it. His name is Sena Asakura.
The young girl was around the age of 7 with long bluish-gray hair that reaches down to her waist and big innocent red eyes. She dressed in a white dress shirt with a frilled collar and a plain red pinafore with two large, golden buttons on either side of her chest. Under this, she wears gray tights and a large set of tan boots. What is unusual about this girl was that there is a small horn on top of her forehead.
"Are you ready, Eri-chan?" The young man asked.
"Ready, Papa!" The young girl response positively.
The young man got out his sword as the black metal box burst open to reveal the same black orb from last night as it tries to charge at them. But the young man was quickly withdrawing the sword to deflect the dark energy orb as the sound of metals clash being heard.
But the dark energy orb soon comes back again as with the sword before the young man knocked the dark energy orb back.
"Eri-chan, now!" The young man shouts.
The young girl's horn turned large and her body glows before she brought her hands toward the dark orb as her energy flown into it. It wasn't long until the dark metallic orb vanished completely out of existence.
It wasn't long until the horn on the young girl diminished before shrink back to its small chubby size. Eri would almost collapse to exhaustion but the young man caught her in his arms.
"Papa… I want to get ice cream when I wake up." Eri said, snuggling into his arms and falling into sleep.
"You're great, Eri-chan," Sena said, gently rubbing the young girl's head. "We will get ice cream after you feel better." The young man soon walks out of the room with the girl in his arms.
He then went upstairs as he opens the door leading to the kitchen before was greeted by the owner of the restaurant. The owner was a man looks around the age of 40, he has pale blonde hair and grey eyes, wearing a magenta shirt with a brown apron over his torso, wearing gray pants and shoes. He was also holding a wooden cane in hand. This is Chitose Yamamoto.
"Yo, Sena-kun." The owner response quietly, noticing that a sleepy Eri in his arms.
"Morning, Boss." The young man known as Sena greeted. "I'm going to put Eri-chan to bed before helped with the daily shifts."
Chitose comes close and placing his hand on Eri's forehead. "Hmm, she doesn't get any fever like before." He spoke. "I will ask my wife to give Eri-chan a checkup."
Sena and Chitose went out of the kitchen.
"So, who is the victim of Dark Metal this time?" Chitose asked.
Dark metal is the opposite of the Soul Metal, a sentience metal made sword and armor like that of Sena's Garo armor. But Dark Metal possessed darker and dangerous power than Soul Metal especially possessed ordinary human and turned into metallic monsters that they call Archfiends.
"A criminal. But there was no one around except for the civilians and Pro-Heroes." Sena spokes as Chitose pinch the upper part of his nose.
"I see…" Chitose spoke. "I have checked with my old buddies in other corners, and they say that they don't have any case with Dark Metal like this city. It seems that this incident seems to be an isolated one. There seems to be no action from Order across this topic."
Sena's eyes are slightly narrow upon mention of the Order.
Long before Quirk was introduced to the world, there was a hidden Order that dedicated to protecting humanity from demon form from Inga or sin, known as Horrors. But things have changed after his predecessor's death from a very dangerous battle 60 years ago.
"It will be hard battles ahead of you with those 'heroes' as well. But you are the only one who can beat them as you're the latest Golden Knight appeared." Chitose said.
Sena nodded with a serious expression. "With these Archfiends, they will lead me directly to him and I will finally settle the score." He then looks at his step-daughter in his arms.
"But I'm also not going to left Eri-chan alone." Sena continued. He may not be Eri's real parent, he will help her control her Quirk and make sure she able to live a normal and happy life.
This made Chitose smirk and patting his shoulder before went to the kitchen. "Good luck."
Sena soon walks up the stairs to the large guest room that he and Eri shared. He gently places the young girl into the bed and tucked her in with the blanket. He placing the sword beside the bed as he quickly changes his clothes in the bathroom and donned a similar apron like Chitose.
He then comes down the stairs and noticed that someone wasn't there before. A young woman dressed in a long red coat with a hooded over her head. She also carried a large brown bag with her.
"Are you, Sena Asakura?" The young woman asked.
"That depends on who are you? There still fifteen minutes before we opened." Sena spoked.
Soon the young woman puts down her hood to reveal a young woman with light skin, long dark brown hair, and brown eyes.
Sena won't deny that she is attractive, but he has a suspicion that she wanted something by the way she stares at him.
The young woman gave a polite bow to him before looking up at him directly in his eyes. "My name is Shuka. I was sent by Watchdog Amon." The young woman response in a calm and polite tone.
This made his eyes narrow dangerous upon her response as he has a pretty good idea where she was from. "What do they want?" he asked, quiet and cold.
"The Order wants you to come back," Shuka revealed.
At the same time, something occurs elsewhere in the city. A young man huffed as he was running through the sewer tunnel while wearing a green and white hooded jacket over a blue shirt, gray pants, and black shoes. He soon stopped for a moment to catch his breaths after placing his hand on a nearby pole.
If only my power wasn't diminished in the first place, I could burn them alive… the young man thought in frustration as he stares at his hand and there were only a few flicks of embers.
The young man soon gives a double-check and saw that his pursuers aren't after him before finding a ladder for him to climb. There will be no way for them to catch him if he blended in with many people at the same time.
Back at the restaurant, Sena looks at Shuka after what he says before turning away.
"Sorry, but I had nothing that they want." He spoked before going back to the kitchen and getting stuff to prepared for the tables.
However, Shuka didn't seem to be affected by the cold shoulder as she was informed about how bitter the young man was like and keep pressed onward. She followed him to the kitchen as Sena getting out napkins for the tables.
"Don't deny it. I know that you are bonded with Garo." Shuka said, making Sena surprise. "Come back to the Order and become the One who Protects. The world needs you more than ever!"
This makes the young man looks bitter toward the woman in front of him.
"Who call themselves protectors for sacrificing others and being too incompetent to see the consequence of their actions?" Sena retorts this makes Shuka flinch.
"How could you be this selfish? Don't you realized the implication of your action will have an impact on the world?" she asked.
"Selfish? I choose not to be an emotionless tool to be sacrificed for their twisted ideological of protector anymore." Sena said, make her eyes wide. "If you excuse me, today will be a busy day with customers coming in."
He soon turned away from her and walk away back to the kitchen.
Shuka about to say something before a familiar voice interrupted her.
"It's better to hold it off until you see a moment when he wasn't busy. You still need to work on your social skill. As a worker, he must have hours that he can take a break." The voice spoke quietly. "For now, try to be a good customer and wait."
Shuka looks at Sena who seems to be a conversation with other employees and begrudged sigh. The voice is right about her bad habit even if she dislikes how others pointed it out.
"What about the Inga you felt earlier?" Shuka asked as she gazed around the place and see nothing out of the ordinary.
"It's completely gone. But I sense a faint trace of the ward below us, meaning the owner of this place might be a former member. We have more questions to answer for later." The voice spoke.
"Fine." Shuka looking at Sena from afar before sitting down at a chair. "This is not over."
A black-haired woman takes her brush away after finishing checking Eri who was sitting on top of the bed. Sena is watching the checkup patiently as he was waiting for any conditions that he needs to be aware of.
"It looks like Eri-chan is the perfectly healthy condition after her latest training." Spoke from an attractive black-haired woman with bright blue eyes. She looks around the age of 38, dressing in the same working apron over an orange sweater, long green pants, and sandals.
"That's good. Does it mean it still safe for her to use her Quirk, Suiren-san?" Sena inquired.
"She doesn't have any after-effect as her Quirk was only a few that can ever affect those from Makai side. Just make sure that she doesn't use her Quirk today." Suiren replied.
This makes the young man nodded in understanding. There are times that Eri's Quirk might activate without any warnings which are why his Quirk be able to prevent possible accidents from occurring.
"Chitose told me that someone that knows the Old Man comes to see you. Are you alright?" Asked Suiren as this also got the attention of Eri.
"I'm fine…" Sena said, calmly. He was more concerned with Eri's condition than worried about his past. "I don't know much about who she was except her name is Shuka."
"There hadn't been any new Priests after what happen… but there is one family that might not abandon their duty." Suiren spoked. "The caretakers of the Tower of Holy Spirits."
"Tower of Holy Spirits…?" Asked Eri, confused.
"The resting place for those who fought as Garo before me," Sena answered. "There is one problem. No one saw their face as they choose to remain isolated." That was one thing his mother told him when he was younger about how sacred that place supposed and those who are in charge keep themselves from being known.
Suiren nodded.
"Anyone but Old man might know them. What are you going to do about the Order?" Asked Suiren. "They probably won't stop to convinced you come back." To those who have and were members of the Makai Order, Garo was their strongest knight and the symbol of hope in the Order. It still hard to believe the Order allowed old tradition to broken.
"Papa… are you going to leave?" Eri asked with concerned and worried.
Sena looks at Eri before knee down to her level and gently caresses her hair. "No, I'm not going back to the Order as there is some stuff I don't want you endured. I want both of us to be able to live a normal life together after this affair is done. That is a promise I won't let go." He said soft and tender.
This seems to make the small girl feel better.
"Do you feel like you are up for a walk outside?" Sena asked. Eri nodded happily before getting her shoes on right now.
"If an Archfiend showed up, be sure to come back first." Suiren said. Sena nodded.
"I would say it again, but thank you," Sena said as he and Eri went down the stairs.
On their way through the kitchen, Sena caught the sharp gaze from Shuka who stares at him before he noticed Chitose come toward them.
"Hey Sena-kun, if you and Eri-chan are out for ice cream, do you mind getting few things on the list for me?" Asked Chitose, giving a slip of paper to him.
"Yeah! I get to do an errand with Papa!" Eri said, feeling excited.
Sena then looks at the list of items before looking at her. "Let's go, Eri-chan. It's not going to be a long walk to get these things and getting ice cream at the same time." He said.
Eri nodded excited as she and Sena walk past the tables, he could swear that there was a disbelief expression from Shuka as they went passed her and leaving through the front door.
After they got the grocery items on the list without much problem, the two soon went to the local ice cream store. Inside the store, the two hear a voice calling out to them.
"Asakura-kun! Eri-chan!" A familiar voice called.
They turned around and saw a fair-skinned girl with long periwinkle hair reached down her knees and blue eyes. She was dressing in a dark green dress with blue lines.
"Hado-san? It's been a while." Sena greeted.
Nejire Hado is a student of Yuurei, the biggest school in Japan for those who want to use their Quirk to helped others. Sena and Eri met her and her friends a few times.
"Hi, Hado-san…" Eri greets shyly.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were living in your dorm with others for your internship…" Sena asked.
"Yes, I'm. But it doesn't mean that I don't come by to visit you guys." Nejire said. "So, I take it that you two are on an errand?" she asked, noticing the grocery bag in Sena's hand.
"Yeah. And I promised Eri-chan ice cream today for helping out." Sena replied. Eri nodded happily.
"Then why don't I join you guys as well?" Nejire asked as she and Sena placed their order for ice creams.
They soon sat down at one of the tables before eating their treats together.
"Say, Eri-chan? How is your ice cream taste?" Asked Nejire.
"Good!" Eri said with a nodded.
"Don't eat too fast, or you will have a brain freeze," Sena replied, slightly strict.
"Say, Eri-chan. Have you made any new friends lately?" Nejire asked, curious.
"I'm fine. Papa and others are with me." Eri, respond.
"Don't you think that you need to make friends with your age?" Asked Nejire curiously.
"Maybe. They might not be as cool as Papa." Eri answered with an innocent expression.
Nejire then looks at Sena with a pout. "Asakura-kun, you are such a mean Papa to your child's future!" she accused with a fake accused tone.
Though it might be bad to not tell Nejire about Eri's Quirk, Sena has his reasons to make sure that type of information doesn't leave to the public as it will lead to potential headaches in the future.
"What can I say? I want her to prepared for the future." He shrugs with a fake defeated sigh. "I mean you still act like you are from kindergarten." With the way she looking at him, he can see more of a little kid than a young woman.
"You don't have to be mean like that, Asakura-kun!" Nejire puffed.
Suddenly they hear a cellphone ring as Nejire opens her cellphone immediately.
"Hello?" Nejire asked before her eyes wide. "I will be right there!" she said before getting up from her chair.
"I'm sorry, but I need to meet up with my friends!" Nejire apologized to Sena and Eri.
The two nodded.
"I understand. We need to go back to the restaurant eventually." Sena said, looking at the time.
"Take care, Hado-san," Eri said before Nejire hugged her once.
"Don't be mean like your Papa when you grow up, Eri-chan. You're too cute for that." Nejire said, getting a brief glare from Sena. "I will see you guys later." With that, she left the store.
Something never changes with her… Sena thought. But then again someone with her personality is always a refreshing experience in their daily life.
They finished up with their treats before heading out of the store right now. On their way back to the restaurant, someone got in their way as Sena let out a frown and felt a distortion in the air.
Standing in their way happens to be Shuka with a very serious expression.
"No one will interrupt us this time around," Shuka said with a brush in her hand.
"I already gave you my answer." Sena countered. Though he is certain that no one will hear them because of the magic barrier Shuka must have put up around them. It's the only reason why people didn't notice them as they walk past them.
"I'm the one who wants to talk with you." A voice said, catching their attention.
"Who says that?" Eri asked, confused.
Soon Shuka showing her other hand and showed them a silver gothic skull ring in her hand.
"That's me, little lady." The ring spoke as it 'open' it's jaws.
"That ring just talk?" Eri asked, surprised.
"My name is Zaruba. The eternal partner of Garo." The ring entity replied. This made Eri's eyes widen in surprise as she hear of the name as it related to Garo.
Sena looks skeptical at the talking ring who bears that name.
"Are you Zaruba?" Sena asked, skeptical. "People say you left this world after that battle from 60 years ago." Not to mention where was he when that incident occurs?
"I'm not surprised considered your uncle did warned us about you being caution. But if you want proof, then touched my head." Zaruba said.
The young man looks at the ring before he comes close to Shuka and placing his two fingers on the ring's head. Soon his eyes wide in surprise upon the visions that he saw.
A large silver skeleton-like demon with Zaruba's face and the golden armored knight fight against other Horrors together.
The same demon soon becomes a ring that accompanies other golden knights in the combat against the Horrors regardless of what periods is.
The vision soon changed to the latest golden armor knight who went into supernova explosion against massive darkness and the ring become badly damaged.
"Papa!" Sena was soon snapped out of his vision as he saw Eri pulled his hand away from the ring. He soon breathed heavily after seeing those visions.
"Don't worry about me, Eri-chan," Sena reassured to his adopted daughter. "He is telling the truth. He is Zaruba." he revealed.
"I'm still surprised that you have adopted a kid despite still being young," Zaruba remarked, stares at the interaction between Sena and Eri.
"Wait, she is adopted?" Shuka asked, looking surprised at the fact.
"Trust me, I can recognize adopted children from legal children apart due to my past experiences. She doesn't share any resembles him." Zaruba said. "It's a slightly better surprise than wake up to find the Order were fewer than I remember." He said, knowing that the Makai Order has a history of questionable deeds but starting a civil war was a big screwup.
"What exactly do you gain from this?" Shuka questioned. It doesn't make sense to her for why he chooses to raise this girl as she can tell that she doesn't seem to have any priest training yet.
But she can tell that this girl might have a Quirk by the small horn on her head. It does raise a question in her mind on what kind of Quirk is it?
"That my business alone." Sena stated, making Shuka's eyebrow narrow.
"Boy, you know that this peaceful era won't last forever. There won't be enough members to take care of the Horrors like there were used too." Zaruba said.
"I am aware of that. I only intended on being Garo until I finished settle a score with someone." Sena said as this made Shuka look surprised at him.
"I see. And what you intended to do with Garoken afterward?" Zaruba questioned.
"Return it to the Tower of Holy Spirits- where it should be after all this time and not being used for a prize. Whoever comes afterward Garo, they should be judged by the spirits there." Sena answered.
"And you don't feel like you worthy of the mantle after the armor choose you?" Zaruba asked rhetorically. "From what your uncle told us. You warned your mother and others about the game that saved more children from lead to their death."
This made Sena remember what happens that day.
(Flashback)
A slightly younger Sena and few other boys are watching as his mother and priests and priestesses stand together in front of the glinting darkness aura around the legendary golden armor of Garo.
With his mother in the lead, they prepared themselves to do their duty.
To purify the armor of Garo from the darkness.
They swing their brushes and sending their power into the armor of Garo in the air. With their power, the dark substance within Garo armor was being exiled from it.
Then the unexpected happens as Sena was hit to the ground hard and turned his eyes in disbelief.
"Everyone…?" Sena asked, disbelief.
The other Knights-in-training, the ones who were only saved after his mother and others come. They were all impaled in the chest by miniature spears.
"S-Sorry… Asakura, I only wished we could be… Partnered Knights in the future." The boy who just saved him before he collapsed to his death.
The disbelief soon turned into absoluted shocked for Sena as this wasn't a dream.
"No…!" Sena screamed before a black spear comes after him.
However, a barrier knocked it aside and was cast by his mother who saw the attack. But she ended up being impaled in the process.
"Kana!" Another Priest exclaimed in shock.
"No, Mom!" Sena screamed, coming to the person he cared deeply the most.
(Present)
"Hey, are you alright?" Zaruba asked, noticing the young man have troubled expression while breathing difficultly. Even Shuka who looks at him bitter early before showing a look of concern for the young man.
Eri saw that his father have trouble breathing as she does her best to keep him calm as possible. "Papa, I'm here for you..." She said softly, holding onto his hand.
This action alone calms down the young man who slowly breathing out and regains his focus.
Shuka approached him and the unknown reversed the barrier that she was casting earlier.
"Don't tell me that you have PTSD after taking the armor…?" Shuka asked, looking shocked.
"That doesn't matter…" Sena shrugged off her question before trying to walk away with Eri.
"Wait, where are you going?" Shuka questioned.
"I have to return to work. Tell them that I have no interest in returning and just leave it to the new one when I retired." Sena spoked.
It wasn't long until they hear an explosion not far from where Sena and Eri are going.
"I don't mean to be rude… but I detected a spike of Horrors coming from that direction and something else that I never thought to detect again." Zaruba spoked.
"What, but it's still daylight!" Shuka argued.
"Eri-chan, we need head back quick," Sena said to his daughter who nodded in understanding.
With that, the two soon make way back to the restaurant.
"Hey! Where are you going?!" Shuka questioned as she running after the two.
"Sena-kun! Eri-chan! Are you two alright?" Chitose questioned after seeing the two come into the restaurant.
"We're alright," Sena said, placing the grocery bag onto one of the tables. "They won't send the grunts into public unless they are after something."
"Sena-kun, I set up the electromagnetic program on your motorcycle so you won't have to worried about being caught on the footage." Chitose said.
Sena nodded before looking at Eri who looks worried. He doesn't blame her as she is the only few people who know about his trauma.
"Take care…" Eri said, giving him a tight hug that her small body can give to him.
"Don't worry, I will come back soon." He said softly while staying like that.
Eri soon released him as Sena got up and left for the garage. Once there, he saw a black motorcycle that has his black leather coat, an orange cat motorcycle helmet, and his sheathed sword.
He soon puts on his coat and zipped it before placing it on the motorcycle helmet before starting the engine and drove out of the building. But not before he felt an extra weight from his back and make him turned to see Shuka got onboard. She wrapped her arms around his waist to hold onto him.
"Hey! I don't take free passengers!" Sena snapped at the fact that she takes a ride with him.
"I can't allow someone like you with a mental condition to be fighting on your own especially in the possibility front of many civilians!" Shuka countered with a serious expression.
Though Sena wants to argue, he decides to focused on driving as the scene of the conflict to where the restaurant was.
Not far from the street where there are fire been spotted, there are black skeleton-like demons were fashioned with metallic bracelets. They didn't seem to be after the civilian who was watching but after an armored individual who seems to have trouble fighting them.
Unlike Garo, this one happens to be isn't sleek or futuristic like him but draconic with blue and bronze scales. There are scale-like wings attached to both sides of his shoulders. His head resembles that of a humanoid dragon with red eyes and sharp fangs.
"Zaruba, what in the world is that?" Shuka questioned, taking out the Madou Ring.
"I never thought that I would see a Dragon Knight again. However, something seems to be wrong with that fellow." Zaruba said. "But what in the world are those grunt Horrors wearing?" He questioned.
"Dark Metal enchants. Though Horrors still weak by sunlight, they can only enchant their strengths due to the dark attribute." Sena explains before press the new feature on his motorcycle.
Soon his motorcycle released a sonic vibration as they passed people who tried to take pictures with either cameras or phones before they noticed their device isn't working.
As they get close, Sena got out the Garoken and slash through one of the Horrors' spine and caused it to collapse before dissolved. He then turned the motorcycle around and standing in front of the injury Dragon Knight.
The blue Dragon Knight saw them, but he seems more surprised to see Sena. "You-"
"Get out of here," Sena said, to the draconic knight before getting off his motorcycle.
The Horrors released dark energy blasts at him and Sena swings Garoken to deflected the attacks to the sides. Shuka got out her brush and summoned swords of made light energy before firing at the incoming Horrors that try to come close to Sena.
The Dragon Knight looks at them before he decided to leave right now as he mustered enough strength to get out of the way with his wings and flew off to another building.
Sena about to lifted his sword into the air and draw a circle of light when Shuka stopped him.
"Wait!" Shuka interrupted, "I know that you don't want to, but you might need Zaruba's abilities in case of emergence." She said before placing Zaruba on the middle finger of his left hand.
Sena sigh. "Fine. But this is not the time for 'contract' yet."
"I'm more concerned with getting out of here." Zaruba response.
Shuka moves a few steps back as Sena raising his sword into the air and draw out a circle of light from above him. The armor of Garo appeared on him with Zaruba shown on his middle finger. Garo charged forward at the Horrors and slashes the heads of those who were pinned down by Shuka's light swords with a vertical swing of Garoken. This seems to make the Horrors in presence focused on the Golden Knight.
The young priestess soon swings her brushes and materialized the light of swords at the Horrors, specifically the bracelet that enchanted their strength. But she frowned that it wasn't simple enough to destroyed the bracelet at the same time.
'If what they say about Dark Metal is true, then this would be a problem in the future…' Shuka thought to herself before remembers what Sena spoke early. It was still hard to believe that he was good enough at covering up the existence of his battles here.
Shuka then focused on the Horrors before swinging more energy swords at the Horrors' head in the process and let them dissolved in the process. It seems that they're still weakened to the sunlight despite their strength being enchanted to make them like they were at night.
Garo clashed with one of the Horrors who used their bracelet as a shield to block the incoming swing and the next one. Garo then slammed his head hard against the Horror, making the Horror to stumbled backward before the knight kicked it in the gut to send it backward.
A Horror was about to assault him from above but a light sword impaled it hard in the head before dissolved upon reaching the golden knight. Rather than saying anything to Shuka, Garo decided to scratch the Garoken against his other arm to ignited the emerald flame upon his sword and swings up into the air and released the incoming wave at the Horrors that tried to attack them.
The remaining Horrors hissed angrily at both Makai Priestess and Makai Knight before they were about to attack until both sides stopped at the unexpected arrival.
"I AM HERE!"
There is no one even in the Makai Order who would recognize the top Hero in the Quirk Society: All Might. The hulking hero who stands between the fight of those from the Makai Realm.
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSE COMMUNICATION GOING DOWN, BUT I'M PUTTING AN END INTO THIS FIGHT!" All Might declared as he stares down at the Horror.
Garo saw All Might going to used one of his famous punches. He suddenly run to Shuka, who is caught by surprise upon holding her tightly while stabbing the Garoken to the ground.
"DETROOOOIIIIIT…"
The Horrors about to come to the Pro-Hero.
"SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!"
The force of the punch created a fierce whirlwind that fed the emerald flame until it had become a tornado of emerald flame; the Horrors roaring in agony as they were incinerated. Garo was holding Shuka while using the sword to make certain that they weren't blown away.
When it had all subsided, nothing remained of the Horrors save for a red-hot mark in the pavement. A roll of thunder drew everyone's attention to the sky as the rain began to fall.
"I don't mean to be rude, but we need to get out of here. Now!" Zaruba said as the duo remembered what happen as Garo released Shuka from his grip and let out a loud whistle.
Soon the area could hear the rumbling engine as Garo's motorcycle come to life and spinning toward its owner.
"HEY!" The Pro-Hero soon rush to stopped the motorcycle but Garo's vehicle start spinning around while released fireworks from the hidden compartments on the sides to blinded those in the area.
After the firework faded away, the greatest Pro-Hero and those who were a presence in the area wake up with strange headaches.
"HUH?! W-WHAT HAPPENED?" All Might questioned with confusion expression that was on his and those who were present.
In what looks like a dark lab is two individuals discussing the events. One of them dressed in a dark cloak while other was a taller man who remains in the shadow.
"It looks like Garo takes care of the grunts that we sent after the Dragon Knight." The hooded figure spoked.
"It doesn't matter as long as the Dragon Knight is still alive even after we take most of his power, our plan is still going ahead." The man in the shadow said.
"Is it wise to allow Garo to be alive? It looks like the Order managed to send someone."
"That foolish game cost the Order's possibility future of surviving another era and severed the trust Garo once hold. It will make him unable to agree with any plans the Order has. I want to see if he can accomplice like those who wore the armor before him or he will become an ally of ours?" The man response.
"I see." The hooded figure replied.
"What about preparing for our other project?" Asked the man in shadow.
"Everything seems going smoothly except for the stabilization for an extended period." The hooded figure explains as the man in shadow sighs.
"I see… I will think of something," the man in shadow answered.
An hour had passed by after the Horror attack in the street. Sena and Shuka currently taking a break on a local beachside. But it also their intent to hide until the fight calm down.
"So, you are not going to tell us how the Dragon Knight knows you?" Zaruba asked.
"Any knowledge about possibility Dragon Knights or their kind will just lead to another conflict with the Order again," Sena explains. But he got a feeling that he might come across with him once again.
"That makes sense. If the Order went into another war, they won't likely survive. You should keep it to yourself." Zaruba replied. Sena looks at his watch and felt it safer to go back to the restaurant.
"It's getting late…" Sena sigh before turning around and face Shuka who stands in his way.
"Sena Asakura, are you sure that you still don't want to go back to the Order?" she asked, quietly.
Sena rolls his eyes to the side when the Priestess questions him about this. "This again? I told you before. Didn't you already hear what I just say—"
"If you hate us, do you risk the possibility of danger of Horrors pry on people like your daughter?" Shuka asked. "Do you have the heart to allowed something to happen?"
Sena turns his face away from her.
"You think just because she keeps me back from hurting you, you think that I will play nice?" He scoffed. "To me, the Order can't be trusted."
"But not all of us are responsible for that game! It shouldn't be allowed in the first place. I… I want to help you! I want to show you that we aren't all the same! I want you to trust me!" Shuka shouts.
"Trust you? What about all those children that were told to kill each other for the past 60 years?! Who was there to stop them from killing each other?! Who were there to helped them when they needed the most? Who is there to tell them about what happened to their families and friends?! That all of their lives and futures were thrown away to release the most dangerous substance in the world!" Sena growls while still remembering all the blood spill on that day.
Shuka flinch upon hearing this and showed remorseful expression. "I won't lie or defend anyone in the Order. Our duty is for the good of humanity and we were supposed to entrust the next generation with our mission. But we failed that mission." She said sadly, "That's why… we need you to come back. Please be light of Hope not for us, but people like your daughter."
Sena snorted. "And then what? Become a sacrificial tool for the Order and being the disposal of later?!"
"You're not just, is that… what you think!?" Shuka snapped, before stopping herself. "You're not… a tool. Not to me. Not to anyone. You have feelings and emotions that all living beings possess. I only wished that you come back to the Order because no one wants to hurt you again after what you have endured!"
Sena gritting his teeth and try to get passed Shuka. However, the young woman caught his hand and holding onto it with no intention of ever letting him go.
"You only cared because I have Garoken!" Sena shouted.
"Of course, I do!" Shuka admitted.
"Hey, you two better take it easy!" Zaruba tried to intervene.
Shuka continued. "You don't know how long my family and I have wait for Garo return to Tower of Holy Spirits… but only ended up being used as some prize for a competition that wasn't meant for!" she snapped furiously, "And find out that your mother and others purified Garo, even when you ended up being chosen as the next Garo and choose to leave! I want to know what kind of person you are. But that won't be easy, wouldn't it? Because you already lost faith in the Order stand… if you continued to distrust the Order… we all become enemies, even when we aren't supposed to fight each other!" she finished with a serious expression.
Sena soon takes a deep breath before looking at her. "That's fine with me. I have no intention of ever going back to followed Order's conducts as I already have a promise I must keep." He said.
"But you can't fight in your condition!" Shuka argued.
"I will deal with it on my own!" Sena said defensive when it comes to that topic.
"But what will you do if you end up having it at the wrong time, boy? It could end up result in your death." Zaruba asked as Sena become quiet.
"…"
Shuka soon released his hand and looks at him. "I will leave you be for taking up your time. But I will expect an answer soon."
"And what happens if I refused?" Asked Sena, raising an eyebrow.
Shuka only has a small smile upon her face. "Then I will keep on trying to get you to trust me. No matter what. That's a promise." She replied before walking away from him.
The young man stares at the young woman who left.
"You should watch yourself. That woman is serious." Zaruba said.
"Where exactly she is staying?" Asked Sena.
"Are you think of accepting her offer?"
"No, just curious if she has a plan of staying in this city." Replied the young man. If her mission is getting him back to the Order, she probably won't have a backup plan about living arrangements.
"She would likely stay in an abandoned Watchdog Center considered she isn't familiar with this place," Zaruba said. "But still, do you think that she is a bad person due to your past?" he questioned about his past. He agreed that death game is a mistake, however, it alright to cuts tie with the Order?
Sena says nothing to the Madou Ring and looks at where the priestess left. The young man thought back on what she says and how she won't defend the Order's actions. He might be harsh on her due to his grudge against the Order, maybe she wasn't that bad. But it still too early for him to determine that.
Sena soon decided to walk back to his motorcycle and puts on his helmet before drove back.
To be continued…
AN: That is the end of the idea regarding Garo. Just because it a crossover, it doesn't mean it will follow the events in My Hero Academia but it can be used as a setting of the story.
You should know that some of the elements of the story come from Garo: Versus Road. Though Versus Road has potentials, there are some plot holes like the absence of the Order. Also, you should know that Sena's background here will be different from the canon especially with his Quirk. Apologized that you won't know much unless if I want to continue this. The same for Shuka, who I decided to make her a Makai Priestess than a human Madogu and personality will contrast that of Sena.
That's all for now. Be sure to review or message me with questions or comments regarding the idea. Alright, I'm done.
